Chapter 21: Déjà vu All Over Again

July 8, 1997 - Tuesday

Rodriguez Apartment

Rodriguez sat at his desk looking at pictures of Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Buffy when Tempus flamed in. He immediately got up and knelt in front of the demon. "Tempus, I never…" he said in shock.

Tempus immediately cut him off "…Expected to see me? Of course not. You were not worthy before now. What is the name you are using here?"

"Rodriguez," Rodriguez said answering Tempus' question.

Tempus smirked. "Ah, yes. I have been sent to you, Rodriguez. As a gift."

"Sent? By who?" Rodriguez asked.

"I think you know who and why," Tempus answered.

Rodriguez nodded he did know, the Source, the only demon in the Underworld who had the power to summon Tempus. "I can defeat the Charmed Ones and the Charmed Slayer on my own. I don't need any help."

"Really," Tempus scoffed. "What makes you think you have actually found the Charmed Ones or the Charmed Slayer?"

Rodriguez smirked. "Are you kidding?" he asked. "After so many of my colleagues have mysteriously vanished in San Francisco this year. It can only be one reason why. I posed as a cop as I believed that one was covering for them. I was right, he was. That's how I found them. Of course, you already know all that, don't you. That's what makes me so worthy now, right?"

"Watch your tongue, Rodriguez, lest I split it for you." Tempus snapped "It's one thing to have found the Charmed Ones and the Charmed Slayer, it's quite another to defeat them as those who have gone before you have already discovered. Tomorrow is Wednesday. I want you to get all four witches together in one place by midnight and give it your best shot. But if you fail..."

"I will not fail," Rodriguez defended himself.

"Well, if you do," Tempus countered. "I'll be there to help you learn by your failures. Trust me. Now, how do you expect to get them together?"

"Trudeau."

Halliwell Manor

"Yeah, she's out cold." Piper said as she, Phoebe and Buffy saw Andy and ran over to him. She instantly felt for a pulse. "Oh my God. He's dead."

Buffy sat up in bed her eyes wide as sweat glistens her forehead. She remembered the last time a dream like that had seemed so real, it was when she had the premonition of the Master killing her.

0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0

Outside a paperboy rode along the road as a passing car honked at him. He waved at the passing car before throwing a paper into the front lawn of the Manor.

"Good morning, San Francisco. Well, it looks like it's going to be a beautiful Wednesday," reported the weathergirl on TV in the kitchen.

"Piper, what are you doing at Quake?" Phoebe asked as she spoke into the phone. "It's 8:00 in the morning."

"Morning." Prue said as she and Buffy came in. Prue headed straight for the kitchen table where the newspaper was laying.

"Hey," Buffy added as she debated telling Prue and Phoebe about her dream. She remembered how Piper had taken it at the time.

"Morning," Phoebe said Prue and Buffy before returning her attention to the phone. "Yes, all right, I'll be there in an hour," she said before hanging up.

"You'll be where in an hour?" Prue wondered looking at her sister.

As Buffy was walking past Prue and Phoebe she noticed Kit jump on the island and knock over the pepper shaker. "Bad, Kit," she told her cat. She put the pepper shaker back upright before turning to the fridge and grabbing a Diet Coke."

"Ah, Quake," Phoebe answered. "Piper's doing that thing for the Food Network and she needs me to bring her another dress because she spilt marinara sauce over the one she's wearing."

"Just stay out of my closet," Prue ordered as Buffy moved around the island to sit at the kitchen table.

"Oh, don't worry, I don't think she'd want to ruin another one of yours," Phoebe joked.

As Prue sat down at the kitchen table she looked at the newspaper. "I don't believe this," she said.

"I'm kidding," Phoebe said thinking Prue was talking about her raiding Prue's closet for Piper. "Don't have an aneurysm."

"I think she's talking about the paper, Pheebs," Buffy said with a glance at her youngest cousin.

"Did you see the front page?" Prue asked as Phoebe shook her head. It was at that moment they heard a crash outside. "Phoebe, where did you park my car last night?"

"In the driveway..." Phoebe said and then she hesitated. Was it in the driveway? "I think." She turned and followed Prue and Buffy through the house and into the living room.

As Prue looked out the window she saw it was not her car that had gotten hit. "Mrs. Henderson's car," she said with a sigh of relief.

Phoebe smiled. "Oh, thank God," she said with a sigh of relief. She then noticed the looks Buffy and Prue were giving her. "I mean, that your car's in the driveway and I'm not in the dog house."

"Is she okay?" Buffy asked looking at Prue.

"Yeah, just a little fender bender, no big deal," Prue said having returned her attention to the newspaper still in her hand. "Phoebe, Buffy, Andy is in trouble."

"What? Why?" Phoebe and Buffy said simultaneously as they both got looks of worry on their faces.

Prue showed them the paper and the headline on the front page that read:

Inspector Suspected In I.A. Murder.

"They think that he killed that Internal Affairs cop?" Phoebe asked shocked. "No way."

"I have to agree there," Buffy said.

"Maybe it's a setup, trying to force him to reveal our secret," Prue suggested.

"Let me see that," Phoebe said.

Buffy grabbed the paper before Phoebe could. "Uh guys I think I should tell you something," she said.

"What?" Prue asked turning to look at Buffy.

"I had premonition this morning," Buffy said. "I saw Andy, Prue. He was dead."

Phoebe's eyes went wide as grabbed the paper and was instantly thrown into a premonition. She blinked her eyes as she came out of it and then looked at Prue. "Buffy's right. I just saw it, Prue. I saw Andy dead."

0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0

"Wait, you two didn't see a demon or a warlock in your premonitions, right?" Prue asked as she discussed the premonition with Buffy and Phoebe.

"No," Buffy and Phoebe said simultaneously.

"But the way he was hurled across the room, there had to have been one," Phoebe reluctantly admitted.

"This room here?" Prue asked as

"Yep," Buffy said as they looked around the living room. "This one."

"Okay, and you both are both positive that it was Andy," Prue asked looking at her sister and cousin for confirmation.

"Prue," Phoebe started.

"I just want to be sure," Prue interrupted. "All right? This isn't just anybody that we're talking about, you know."

"We know, Prue," Buffy said as she reached over and took Prue's hand in her own. "Phoebe and I care about him as much as you do."

Prue let out a sigh as she nodded. "I know you both do," she admitted. "I'm sorry. Um, right, why don't you fill in Piper and Buffy and I will go warn Andy."

"How?" Phoebe asked clearly confused since Andy said he and Prue couldn't be seen together while Internal Affairs was investigating him. "He said it was too risky for you to be seen with him."

"Yeah, well, I don't care," Prue said. "Let Internal Affairs find out that we're witches."

"I have to agree with Prue," Buffy said as she looked at Phoebe. "Andy's life is a lot more important."

Phoebe nodded. "Okay, just please be careful… both of you," she said looking both of them in the eye. "Neither of you know what kind of demon we're up against."

"Hence why I want Buffy with me," Prue said as she smiled at her overprotective baby sister. "Two witches with active powers, plus Buffy's Slayer abilities. Between the two of us…"

Golden Gate Park

Buffy leaned against a tree as she watched Andy and Prue. "Has Phoebe and Buffy ever been wrong about their premonitions before?" Andy asked looking at Prue and Buffy.

Andy had expected for it to be Prue that answered but it was Buffy who answered his question instead. "No neither of our premonitions have ever been wrong before. Two months ago I foresaw my own death at the hands of a vampire, Andy. What I didn't foresee was what happened after. I was revived with CPR after the vampire had left me for dead, tossing me aside to drown in a pool of water."

"As Buffy just pointed out," Prue said. "We have every time Buffy or Phoebe has had a premonition we've been able to affect the outcome. Stop the demon or warlock before..."

"Before I get killed," Andy interrupted. "Can I get that in writing?"

Prue looked at Buffy who shrugged. She turned her attention back to Andy. "Andy, you just have to be extra careful until we figure out who this demon is and why he's after you, okay?" Andy didn't respond right away, in fact to her and Buffy he looked lost in thought. "Andy?"

Andy blinked as he looked at Prue and Buffy. "I was just thinking..." he told them. "What if the demon is Rodriguez?"

"Why would you say that?" Buffy asked confused.

"He pulled me in the station house this morning," Andy explained. "I thought he was gonna arrest me. What he really wanted was a meeting with the two of you."

"Both of us?" Prue said confused. Why would he want a meeting with Buffy? "Why?"

"Because he thinks his partner was killed by a supernatural being and somehow, I don't know how," Andy told them. "But he knows you're a witch, Prue. And he knows, you are part Slayer, whatever that is, Buffy."

"How would he know that unless..." Buffy said and then her eyes went wide with realization. Andy was right. Rodriguez was their demon. "Unless he's the demon," she said answering her own question. She looked at Prue. "It's the only explanation."

Prue let out a sigh as nodded in agreement. She turned her attention back to Andy. "Alright, uh, tell Rodriguez to meet us at the manor at 6:00."

Andy was immediately against the plan. "It's too dangerous, Prue," he said.

"We don't have a choice," Prue explained looking her friend in the eyes. "If we don't meet with him, he'll frame you and try to expose us anyways."

"But if he is a demon and it turns out to be a trap?" Andy questioned as a frown creased his face.

"First," Buffy said as she held up her hand and a fireball formed in her hand. "Even without my powers or Prue's. We'll have Piper and Phoebe to back us up. The Power of Three Augmented."

"Plus one," Andy told them. "Me."

"No. You can't be there, Andy," Prue objected. "That's where you were in Phoebe and Buffy's premonitions when ... just promise me you'll stay away."

"I can't do that, Prue," Andy said apologetically.

"Buffy," Prue said.

Buffy nodded as she walked several feet away. "Andy!" she called out and he flamed out to reappear next to her. "If you come to the manor. I will be forced to use my power and keep you outside, Andy."

"We don't want anything to happen to you, Andy," Prue said as she walked over to him and Buffy. "You know how much I still care for you."

"I care for you too, Andy," Buffy added. "You've been a good friend since I moved in with Prue, Piper and Phoebe."

Andy looked at the Buffy and Prue and saw their resolve. "Okay, I promise."

Halliwell Manor

Prue glanced at the clock and saw that it read 5:55. "All right, let's go over the plan again," she said.

"Yeah," Phoebe agreed not liking the plan, "let's, because I wanna know why Buffy and I are the ones answering the door."

"Because Phoebe you know martial arts and Buffy is the Charmed Slayer. The Slayer half of her knows how to fight things that are stronger than most men. All right? That way if Rodriguez shows up and tries something right off the bat, you two can knock him down."

"And then I can come in from the living room and freeze him," Piper added.

"And then I can come down the stairs and send him flying," Prue finished.

"And as he's flying I can fling a fireball at him finishing him off," Buffy said.

Phoebe sighed. "I still feel like cannon fodder."

"Welcome to my world," Buffy said as she smiled at Phoebe.

It was at that moment that the doorbell rang.

"What time is it?" Prue asked.

Piper checked the clock. "Just before six," she said as the doorbell rang two more times. "That's a little too anxious, that's not a good sign."

"Which means if he doesn't want to kill me and Prue, he wants to date one of us," Buffy quipped as Prue,, Piper and Phoebe stared at her. "It's the way I deal with stress. I quip."

"Come on, let's get this day over with." Prue said as she moved toward the stairs. .

"Okay," Phoebe said as she and Buffy walked toward the door. Behind them Prue disappears just around the bend of the stairs out of sight. At the same moment Piper walks around the corner into the living room. She glanced at her cousin. "You ready?" Buffy sighed and nodded. She turned her attention to the door and opened it.

Rodriguez held up his badge. "Inspector Rodriguez," he said. "I'm here to see Prue and Payson Halliwell."

"Well I'm right here," Buffy said. She glanced at the stairs. "Prue!"

"Piper!" Phoebe called out. "Company!"

Rodriguez's eyes glow red and he telekinetically threw Phoebe and Buffy against the wall on the stairs and roll down the stairs to come to rest at the base of the first step.

"Phoebe! Buffy!" Piper shouted as she ran out of the living room. Rodriguez shot lightning from his hand and Piper froze it and him.

Prue rushed down the stairs. "Phoebe! Buffy!" she yelled. She turned her face toward Rodriguez in anger and she squinted, she telekinetically sent the lightning back at him vanquishing him. She turned and knelt next to Buffy. "Oh, god," she said when she noticed that Buffy's eyes were staring lifelessly toward the ceiling.

Piper knelt next to Phoebe. "Oh, my god," she said as she began checking Phoebe for a pulse. "Prue, is Buffy okay?"

"No," Prue said as she closed Buffy's eyes. "She's dead. What about Phoebe?"

Piper looked down at Phoebe and then shook her head. "She's dead too."

"Okay. I'll be there in an hour," Phoebe spoke into the phone before hanging up.

"You'll be where in an hour?" Prue wondered looking at her sister.

"Phoebe, pinch me," Buffy said.

"I was just about to ask you to do the same thing," Phoebe said as she and Buffy pinched each other confirming they were indeed awake. She turned to her elder sister. "Look, Prue... something weird is going on here."

As Prue sat down at the kitchen table she looked at the newspaper. "I don't believe this," she said.

"Prue," Buffy said. "This has happened before, everything."

"Buffy's right," agreed Phoebe.

"I'm talking about the paper. Did either of you see the front page?" Prue asked looking at Buffy and Phoebe.

"See. Like that. Right there. You said that before. I know it," Phoebe admitted as she glanced at Buffy who nodded in agreement.

It was at that moment they heard a crash outside. "That has happened before." Buffy said.

"Where did you park my car last night?" Prue asked looking at her sister.

"In the driveway and I told you that already the last time you asked me," Phoebe said as as Prue walked out of the kitchen. She turned toward Buffy. "So, your having a sense of déjà vu also?"

"Yeah ever since I got up this morning, starting with the premonition I had this morning," Buffy said. "I could swear I had that same premonition before." They turned and hurried after Prue.

"Mrs. Henderson's car," Prue said as Phoebe and Buffy came up behind her. "Just a little fender-bender, no big deal," she told them.

"Prue, Buffy and I are not nuts," Phoebe said. "Okay, maybe I am just a little but that's irrelevant here."

"Phoebe, Buffy, Andy's in trouble," Prue said reading the headline.

"What?" Phoebe and Buffy said simultaneously.

Prue showed them the paper and the headline on the front page that read:

Inspector Suspected In I.A. Murder.

"Premonition, you said," Phoebe said as she looked at Buffy. "Do you remember?"

"You have it also," Buffy said. "Yeah."

"Okay, what's going on?" Prue said as she looked at her sister and her cousin in confusion.

"I had a premonition this morning," Buffy said. "In it, I saw Andy, dead. If you hand Phoebe the newspaper. She will have the same premonition." Prue looked at her as if she didn't believe her. "Just humor me."

Prue sighed as she handed Phoebe the newspaper. Phoebe was instantly thrown into a premonition. When Phoebe came out of it she looked at Buffy and nodded before looking at Prue. "Buffy's right. I just saw Andy, dead."

Golden Gate Park

Buffy leaned against a tree as she watched Andy and Prue.

"But if he is a demon and it turns out to be a trap?" Andy questioned as a frown creased his face.

"Plus one. Me." Andy says as he noticed Buffy move toward him and Prue. "What is it?"

"Again?" Prue asked looking at her cousin.

"More déjà vu, yeah," Buffy said. "This seems so familiar."

"Um, Andy, you can't be at the meeting," Prue objected. "That's where you were in Phoebe and Buffy's premonitions when ... just promise me you'll stay away."

"I can't do that, Prue," Andy said apologetically.

"Buffy," Prue said.

Buffy nodded as she started to walk away. This too felt familiar. She looked over her shoulder Prue before taking a few more steps.

She glanced back at Phoebe and Buffy who were checking both Book of Shadows.

"Is there anything in there about time loops?" Piper asked.

"There's a spell to accelerate time but that's about it," Phoebe said.

"I'm not seeing much else eighter," Buffy added.

"I'm telling you, this is all part of his evil plan. I just haven't had enough time to figure it out yet," Phoebe said looking at her sisters and cousin.

"Neither have I," Buffy said with a sigh just as the doorbell rang.

"What time is it?" Prue asked.

"Just before six," Piper said glancing at the clock.

"I'll," Buffy started.

"What?" Prue asked.

"I think the last time around Phoebe and I were the ones to open the door," Buffy explained. "And I think we died." She hurried down the stairs as Phoebe, Prue and Piper followed her. As she reached the front door a fireball formed in her hand.

It was at that moment the door flew open and lightening flew from Rodriguez's hitting Buffy and sending her careening into a wall and collapsing to the floor. He threw more lightning at Phoebe and Piper who went crashing through the glass door. He threw lightning at Prue who using her power deflected it back at him vanquishing him.

Prue rushed to Buffy and found that her cousin was staring lifelessly straight up at the ceiling. "Oh, my god," she sobbed as she closed Buffy's eyes. She rushed to Piper and Phoebe and checked their pulse to find them both dead as well. "No! Oh god, no!"

Buffy bolted awake. "The premonition," she said as she got up and rushed out of her room and into Phoebe's. "Phoebe," she said shaking her cousin awake.

"Good morning, San Francisco. Well, it looks like it's going to be a beautiful Wednesday," reported the weathergirl on TV in the kitchen. Buffy sat her Diet Coke down on the table as she grabbed the TV remote and turned the TV off.

"Don't tell me. I already know," Phoebe said as she spoke into the phone. "You spilt marinara sauce on your dress, right? Am I right? Think Piper, think. Doesn't all of this seem awfully familiar to you?"

"Morning." Prue said as she came in. She headed straight for the kitchen table where the newspaper was laying.

"Freeze," Buffy ordered Prue. She turned and looked at the island. "Kit knocks over the pepper and meows."

Kit jumped up onto the island knocking over the pepper shaker and meowed.

Prue looked at Buffy as if to say how'd you know that?

"Wait," Buffy said before looking at Phoebe. "Pheebs you should tell Piper to come home."

Phoebe nodded. "Okay, Piper, you need to get home as soon as you can, okay, we've got major demon hunting to do," she said into the phone. "Oh, and if you run into someone named Joanne from high school, just tell her to go stick it. I will explain later, just hurry."

"Okay, what's going on?" Prue asked looking at Buffy and Phoebe, who had just hung up the phone.

"Quick, follow us," Buffy said as she led Prue and Phoebe to the window in the living room. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Car honks..." they heard a car honk, "…skids..." they heard the sound of tires screaching "…crashes..." and the sound of a car crashing. "…Mrs. Henderson's car. A little fender bender. Good thing Phoebe parked your car in the driveway last night, huh?"

"How did you know that?" Prue asked confused.

"Because this has all happened once before, Prue," Phoebe explained. "Maybe even more than once. The day keeps repeating itself. Buffy and I know it and every time it happens I think we figure it out just a little faster. It must be our power of premonition."

"Premonition," Buffy said. "I need to be telling you both my premonition. And then Phoebe, you should be having one to confirm what I said."

"Should be?" Prue said looking at her cousin and sister clearly confused. "What do you mean?"

"The paper," Phoebe instructed her sister. "Look at the front page."

Prue looked down at the paper in her hand and saw the headline. "Andy."

"Is in trouble," Phoebe said. "More than you know, Prue."

"I had a premonition when I woke up," Buffy explained. "The same one I've had before. Phoebe will touch that paper and she will have the same premonition, again the same one she's had before. In it Andy gets killed by a demon."

"Prue, you have got to believe us," Phoebe pleaded.

"No, I believe you both," Prue said looking at her sister and cousin. "The question is what do we do about it?"

"Well, you've got to go warn Andy," Phoebe instructed her sister. "Keep him away from our house at all costs. Meanwhile, Buffy and I've got to dig through both Book Of Shadows, find a way to vanquish this time demon before he can kill Andy."

0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0

Piper glanced at the clock which read, 5:55. She turned back to Buffy and Phoebe who were reading from both Book of Shadows.

"The devil's sorcerer, Tempus," Phoebe said.

"He can manipulate time anyway he chooses," Buffy added.

"Does it say how to vanquish him?" Piper wondered as she looked at them both.

Phoebe sighed ."Uh, take him out of the time that he's in."

"What ever that means," Buffy said with a sigh.

Rodriguez kicked open the door and threw lightning at Prue, but Piper pushed her eldesr sister out of the way just in time and they both fall to the floor.

"No!" Andy shouted as he fired his gun at Rodrigue, who threw lightning at him.

"Andy!" Phoebe and Buffy shouted as they watched Andy flys through the air and hit a glass cabinet before falling to the floor.

Piper stood and flicked her wrist freezing Rodriguez. "Are you both okay?" she asked looking at her younger sister and cousin.

"Yeah," Phoebe said as she noticed that Buffy was kneeling next to Prue. "Buffy, is she?"

"She's out cold," Buffy answered. "Go check Andy."

Piper and Phoebe nodded as she ran into the living room. They knelt down next to him as Piper checked for a pulse. "Oh my God, he's dead," Piper reluctantly admitted.

0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0

Buffy looked at the clock which read 6:15 before looking back at Rodriguez who they had tied to a chair. "The only reason you're still alive is because I haven't figured out how to kill you yet," she told him as she tossed a fireball from one hand to another back and forth.

Rodriguez smirked. "Go ahead. Kill me, Slayer. I don't care."

"Buffy, what are you doing?" Piper asked as she watched her cousin.

"Trying to save Andy," Buffy answered without taking her eyes off of Rodriguez. She glanced briefly at Phoebe who stood next to her.

"Andy," Piper said looking at her younger sister and her cousin. "Andy's dead, you can't save him."

"No?" Phoebe countered. "We're in a time loop, aren't we? All we have to do is start this day over and Andy lives. And I'm willing to bet that his death somehow triggers the time loop!"

Rodriguez smiled. "I'm impressed. I was told you wouldn't know that."

"Really?" Buffy said with a roll of her eyes.

"By who? Tempus?" Phoebe added. "Yeah, we know about him too. And we also know you're not him otherwise you would've restarted the day by now. So, where do we find him?"

"In your nightmares. Kill me. I dare you," he answered.

Piper pulled Phoebe and Buffy away from Rodriguez. "Why is he so willing to let us kill him?" she asked.

Buffy shrugged. "Who cares," she answered. "If he dies, Andy lives. End of story."

Piper sighed. "What if that's exactly his plan?" she asked. "To reset the day and he can kill us all next."

"It doesn't matter. The day's gonna reset itself anyway, there's not a damn thing to do about," Rodriguez admitted.

"Shut up," Buffy growled. "Tape!" she thrust out her hand and duct tape flamed in covering his mouth.

"Come on, we have to wake Prue," Piper said as she led Buffy and Phoebe over to Prue.

Phoebe knelt down next to Prue and began shaking her in an attempt to wake Prue. "Prue. Prue. Come on, we need your help. Prue, come on, honey. Prue. Prue."

"Prue, come on, wake up, sweetie," Buffy added as Prue regained consciousness.

"Easy, easy." Phoebe said as she and Buffy helped Prue to her feet.

"Where is Andy?" Prue asked.

Buffy sighed. "I don't want to say this, Prue, but something terrible has happened." She motioned toward the living room.

Prue followed her cousin's wave and saw Andy lying on the floor a blanket covering his body. "Oh my God," she whispered.

"It all happened so fast, Prue," Piper reluctantly admitted. "He ran in the door when Rodriguez attacked. He was trying to save us."

Prue nodded as a tear escaped her eye. "And he'll succeed," she said. "Where's the Book of Shadows? Either one."

"Book of Shadows!" Buffy called out as she held out her hands and her book flamed into them.

"Where's the spell that you saw to accelerate time?" Prue asked her cousin.

Rodriguez would have asked what they were doing if not for the duct tape. He knew whatever they were doing would not be good for him.

Buffy handed the book to Prue and began flipping it to the spell. "Here," she said.

"But we don't want to accelerate time, we want to reverse it," Piper objected as she looked at her elder sister.

Prue sighed as she glanced over at Andy. "No, we don't, trust me," she said. "The only chance that we have to get rid of Tempus is to do this by breaking the time loop, okay."

"But if we break the time loop we won't be able to save Andy," Buffy reluctantly admitted.

"I know," Prue said as she rested Buffy's book in one hand and wiped a tear from her cousin's face.

"Prue, are you sure?" Piper wondered.

Prue shook her head. "No, I'm not," she admitted. Then she began to chant, "Winds of time gather 'round, Give me wings to speed my way. Rush me on my journey forward, let tomorrow be today."

Buffy looked up in time to watch as the hands of the clock speed forward till they finally stop at 12:00.

July 10, 1997 – Thursday

"Prue..." Piper and Phoebe said.

"You know what, just untie him get him outta here," Prue said with a sigh as she sat Buffy's book down and cradled her cousin in her arms.

"What?" Phoebe asked confused.

"He'll kill us," Piper said just as confused as Phoebe.

"No, he won't." Buffy said.

"He doesn't have the power to kill us," Prue agreed, "otherwise he wouldn't have needed Tempus."

"I will not untie him, Prue." Phoebe said.

Prue squinted at Rodriguez. The duct tape is ripped from his mouth and the ropes binding him to the chair fall to the floor. "Get outta here before I change my mind."

"You stupid witch," Rodriguez said as he walked towards the door. He then turned around as his eyes glowed red.

Buffy broke from Prue's grasp as a fireball formed in her hand. She flung it at Rodriguez and he burst into flames and was vanquished. She turned and followed by Prue walked over to Andy. They knelt down as tears began to fall from their eyes. They pulled each other into the others arms as they continued to cry.

July 12, 1997 – Sunday

Westfield Cemetery

Buffy stood next to Prue, her arm wrapped around her eldest cousin. They stood in front of Andy's casket with Darryl, Phoebe and Piper. Prue and Buffy stepped forward and they each lay a rose on top of Andy's coffin.

"Good morning, San Francisco. Well, it looks like it's going to be a beautiful Monday morning here in the Bay area," reported the weathergirl on TV in the kitchen.

Phoebe clicked off the TV and turned toward Piper. "She really needs another shtick. That one's getting boring," she admitted.

"Maybe she should hire Joanne Hertz, boost the ratings," Piper suggested.

"Speaking of the she-devil herself, did you ever call to reschedule your segment?" Phoebe wondered.

Piper shook her head. "No, and I'm not going to."

"Why?"

Piper smiled. "I've decided to quit my job."

"What?" Phoebe said shocked.

"And actually, I owe it all to Joanne," Piper admitted as she looked at her younger sister. "She made me realize that somehow I had forgotten what my dreams were, still are. I always wanted to be a chef and have my own restaurant not manage one. It's a good job and the pay's okay but it's not my dream job."

"I think that's great," Phoebe said as she smiled at her older sister. "I really do. And don't worry, if you need any help trolling the classifieds, I am an expert." She led Piper through the house and outside where Buffy and Prue sat on the front steps.

"Buffy? Prue?" Piper said looking at her elder sister and cousin. "Are you two all right?"

Prue glanced at Buffy who smiled at her. "Actually, we are," she admitted to her sisters. "Andy's been exonerated, they are now looking for Rodriguez."

"Good luck," Buffy said as she laughed.

"Hey, are you sure you both are all right?" Phoebe wondered.

"Yeah, we're alright," Buffy said.

"Buffy and I were actually just discussing everything we've been through since we became witches," Prue admitted.

"Give you a headache?" Piper said.

"No," Prue objected. "We both agreed that it actually gave us a good feeling. I mean, look, it's a hassle and can sometimes screw up our personal lives. And we do good things together. Helps offset the bad things."

"I'm gonna really miss Andy," Phoebe said.

"It's gonna be very sad without him," Piper added.

"Yeah, I'm going to miss him too," Buffy said.

"Something tells me that he'll always be with us," Prue admitted. "We better get ready for work."

Piper smirked "I'll tell her later"

"Tell me what?" Prue asked.

Piper smiled "Nothing. It's not important."

Prue nodded as she and Buffy stood up. "Oh and Buffy, don't forget your father will be here in a few hours."

"I'm already packed, Prue," Buffy said as she and Prue followed Piper and Phoebe inside. They both turned toward the door. "You want the honors?" she told Prue.

Prue smiled and with a wave of her hand the door swung shut behind them.
