KC's POV

I was staying over at the Friars' (they gave me a room, even getting me a bed, a year ago). I woke up with stomach pain. It felt like I peed my pants, too. I got up and ran to the bathroom, forgetting to close the door. When I pulled down my pants, I saw that I didn't pee my pants, but I was bleeding. I started crying, starting to freak out.

Suddenly, Jaxon appeared in the doorway.

"You okay?"

"No," I said. "I'm bleeding. I'm scared."

"Where?"

"Ummm," I said, not sure I should tell him.

He looked down at my underwear.

"Oh…" He said. "Be right back."

He left the bathroom. He came back about a minute later with some underwear (they bought me some for here). He walked over to the sink and opened the cabinet under it. After he closed it, I saw he had something in his hand. He walked over to me.

"What's that?"

"A pad," he answered me. I looked at him, confused. He returned the look. "Do you not know what a period is?"

"No," I answered.

"It's something girls get one time every month," he informed me. "It helps your body get ready to have a baby someday."

"Why do you know this?"

"My mom thought it would be a good thing for us to know about girls and boys," she told me. "A lot of guys make fun of girls for their period because they don't know about it." He handed me the pad. "You put this on your underwear so it can soak up the blood." I took it. "I'll be outside the door."

He walked out the door, shutting it behind him. I took off the bloody underwear and put on the new ones. I put the pad on them. I wiped until I didn't see blood on the toilet paper. I pulled up my underwear and pajama pants. I flushed the toilet and washed my hands. I heard a knock.

"You done?" I heard Jaxon ask.

"Yeah," I replied. He walked in. "What do I do with those?"

I pointed at the bloody underwear.

"I'll take care of it."

"You sure?"

"Yeah," he responded. I started for the door. "By the way," I looked at him, "I got you stuff that'll help. It's on the kitchen table."

I left the bathroom and went to the kitchen. There was a pill that had the word Midol on it, a soda, and some dark chocolate. I smiled.

Rachel's POV

I heard water running. I got out of bed and followed the sound. In the bathroom, I saw Jaxon at the sink.

"What are you doing up, Jax?" I inquired.

"KC got her period," he said. I walked to where I was beside him. I saw he was rinsing out her underwear. "I heard her crying. She was freaking out. She didn't know periods are a thing."

"That makes sense, she doesn't have her mom here to tell her about it," I said. "I didn't even think about talking to her about it."

"Well, she's okay," he said. "I talked to her about it, and I put out chocolate and Midol for her."

"You are a good boyfriend to her, Jaxon," I told my 11 year old. I looked at the underwear still in his hands. "You could have woken me up and asked me to do that."

He turned off the water and put the underwear in the hamper. He washed his hands.

"It's okay, mom," he said. "I didn't need to bother you." He gave me a hug. "Goodnight, mom."

"Goodnight, Jax."

He left the bathroom.

He really loves her.
