Also, the "Asune" is actually Asuka combined with Onee-chan aka Big Sister for Asunee-chan. I do try to recheck my work before posting, but sometimes things slip past me. Chapter 5: Beating a Standard Bully
Our hero and his group are standing in the office of the CEO of LDS, Reiji Akaba. He decided to tell him and the sisters about the Original Dimension and Leo's goal.
"Zarc?" Reiji asked.
"That's right." Zack nodded.
"Wait, you've been having dreams about a guy?" Serena asked with a raised eyebrow, a look that was shared among her sisters.
"Don't put it like that!" Zack snapped at her. "That makes me sound sus! There more like… memories in a way I guess."
And he's not lying. The first night he slept in the Fusion Dimension, Zack had dreams about Zarc's life. Kinda like Master's would have dreams about their Servants lives while they slept in Fate. They had kept happening until the final few nights in the Fusion Dimension.
"It's also how my Synchro and Xyz monsters suddenly showed up." Zack lied. "Even some of my monsters becoming Tuners."
"And what did these "memories" show you?" Reiji asked.
"A world like this one, only far more advanced." Zack said. "A world, let's call it the Original Dimension, but it wasn't just that, it's who I saw there as well."
"Who?" Rin asked.
"Leo Akaba." Zack answered.
The girls and even Reiji was surprised to hear that, even if his eyes widen slightly.
"My father?" Reiji clarified. "He was apart of this "Original Dimension"?"
"Yes, along with his daughter Ray Akaba." Zack said.
Telling him about his older sister hit him hard judging by the way his poker face fell off.
"What?! Ray Akaba?!" Reiji exclaimed. "But I don't have an older sister!"
"Not in this Dimension no." Zack said. "But you do… or rather you did in the Original Dimension. Which are the four Dimensions that we know now."
Zack then began to tell them about everything that happened in Zacks life. How he met Ray and through her, Leo. Went to school together, played and had fun. They learned to duel and wanted to become the best male and female duelists the world has ever seen. The two grew closer and closer to one another, but Zarc never said his true feelings. He promised himself that once they reached their goals, he would confess to the one who claimed his heart. What Zack and Zarc didn't know was that not only was Ray's Spirit listening from the bracelets, but she felt the exact same way. They wanted to make people smile with their dueling… until the accident happened.
"I don't believe it…" Ruri gasped with her hands over her mouth.
"How could they cheer for that?" Rin asked in disbelief.
"That's how humans are sometimes sadly." Zack answered with a shrug. "Unfortunately, if they knew what that cheering set in motion, they probably wouldn't have done it."
"I'm guessing it has something to due with what led up to the split of the Original Dimension in the Four Dimensions." Reiji guessed.
"You'd be correct." Zack confirmed. "All humans have a Light and Darkness in our hearts, with our actions feeding whichever side said action does. Do something good, your Light side grows and the opposite for the Darkness. After the accident Zarc was feeling guilt and despair. His Darkness took advantage of his current state of mind to influence his actions. Zarc then began to do rougher and rougher duels, resulting in more injured duelists or worse."
The girls were looking at me in shock and horror. Reiji, having regained control of his facial muscles, looked at me and simply listened. Zarc himself was looking down in shame as he knew what was coming next.
"Sadly, it only got worst from there." Zack said.
"How so?" Reiji asked.
"Zarc's Darkness, which gave itself the name "Z-Arc", gained enough power to take full control of Zarc's body and used its power to fuse Zarc's four heavenly dragons with Zarc's body. Becoming the Supreme King Z-Arc." Zack revealed. "Z-Arc went on a rampage, destroying everything or anyone that got in its way."
"You mean this Z-Arc killed people?" Serena gasped.
"Yes." Zack nodded. "During all this, your father found a way to stop Z-Arc or who he thought was Zarc himself."
"Wait, he thought that monster was Zarc?" Rin asked.
"Didn't anyone know it wasn't him?" Ruri asked.
"Sadly no." Zack answered. "Not even Ray knew."
The sisters felt a deep sadness in their hearts, like they could feel Ray's sadness themselves. Which they in fact did.
"How did Leo stop him?" Reiji asked, getting things back on track.
"Feeling like it was all his fault, Leo worked on gathering special energy to create four unique cards called Natural Energy Cards, or En Cards for short." Zack said.
"Natural…" Serena started.
"Energy…" Ruri continued.
"Cards…" Rin finished.
"What type of energy did my father use to create these cards?" Reiji asked interested.
"The energy of the universe." Zack answered.
The listeners were shocked at the answer they were given.
"The energy gathered from the Moon, Winds, Birds and Flowers." Zack explained.
Hearing the first three caused the sister's eyes to widen. Serena's monsters were called "Lunalight" or "Moonlight". Rin's were called "Windwitch". Ruri's were called "Lyrilusc" that were shown as bird-like monsters.
"After he created the En Cards, Leo planned to use them himself to atone for his "crime" of creating Z-Arc." Zack continued. "However, someone else had other ideas."
"Ray." Reiji said.
"*nods* That's right." Zack confirmed. "Ray didn't want Leo to sacrifice himself, believing he would be needed for the world to rebuild."
"Sacrifice?" Reiji asks, while an uneasy feeling settles on him.
Zack then proceeds to explain what happens in chapter 1 but changes the ending to the Duel Spirits reincarnating Zarc to stop Z-Arc instead of meeting Zack in his Dimension.
"And that is all I can recall from the "Dream Memories"." Zack says with a shrug.
While Reiji closes his eyes to think about all that he was told, the sisters were horrified and saddened.
"Zarc was still alive and used all his power to stop Z-Arc from hurting Ray." Ruri said.
"Only for her to have no choice but to use the En Cards to stop that monster." Rin said.
"Damn it." Serena growled. "And Leo is disgracing her memory by starting a war across the Dimensions!"
"It is good to know that you were born from the Light within Zarc, Zack. However, Z-Arc will no doubt use this as an opportunity to revive itself through your brothers." Reiji said as he opened his eyes.
"Yes." Zack confirmed. "Yuri, the holder of Starving Venom Fusion Dragon." (Picture of Yuri and his dragon)
Serena, while looks uncaring about said person but does feel sorry for him because now she knows Z-Arc had influenced his actions and way of thinking thanks to Leo.
"Yuto, the holder of Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon." (Picture of Yuto and his dragon)
Ruri looked down in sadness at hearing her first love. She can only hope that they can stop anything from happening to him.
"Yugo, the holder of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon." (Picture of Yugo and his dragon)
Rin holds a clenched fist in her other hand as she places them over her heart. It hurts to think that her best friend that is so full of cheer and charisma has such evil sleeping in him.
"And finally, Yuya the holder of Odd Eyes Dragon. Or rather now Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon." Zack finished saying. (Picture of Yuya and his dragon)
"How do you know of Yuya Sakaki?" Reiji asked. "Didn't you all just arrive today?"
"On the way here, we saw a tv that showed what happen during his duel and what he did." Rin answered.
"Yes, that does make sense." Reiji acknowledged. "It's been showing every few hours since yesterday's event."
Since Zack no longer had his mask anymore, he had to be discreet as he glanced at Zarc as the spirit was silent during the whole story.
(Are you okay?) Zack asked Zarc.
"*sigh* Yes, just hard to remember what happened is all." Zarc said. "I should have tried harder to stop Z-Arc."
(You can't keep beating yourself up over it.) Zack said. (You want to make up for it? Then help destroy Z-Arc once and for all when we get the chance!)
Zarc looked at his partner in surprise, before smiling.
"Your right. Thank you, my friend." Zarc said.
(No problem buddy.) Zack responded.
It was then that Zarc noticed something.
"Ahh, Zack you have info of this entire universe, right?" Zarc asked.
(Ye~ah? Why?) Zack asked with a mental raised eyebrow.
"So, who's that little boy sitting on the couch looking at us?" Zarc asked.
At the mention of a "little boy" sitting on a couch in Reiji Akaba's office quickly made Zack turn his head in said direction in surprise. Sitting there is a 7-year-old boy holding a patchwork teddy bear close to his chest. The most concerning thing about him was the vacant expression on his face.
Upon noticing Zack looking to the side, Reiji also looked and saw his younger sibling.
"Ah so you noticed my little brother." Reiji said.
Hearing him say that the sisters look in the same direction and saw the little brother.
"Whoa! I never noticed him!" Serena said in surprise. "I thought we were the only one's here."
"Aww~! He's so cute!" Rin gushed.
Due to the newfound attention, the boy curled up as he held up the teddy to block their gazes.
"I think he's shy." Ruri said.
Zack said nothing as he made his way over to the kid. Once he got within arms reach, Zack took a knee.
"Hey there." Zack said softly. "You probably heard from before, but my names Zack Hikari. What's yours?"
The boy slowly peaked out behind the bear to see the kind and gently smile on Zack's face. Something about him felt easy to speak to.
"L-Layra." the younger Akaba answered quietly.
Reiji was a little surprised. Layra never spoke too new people before.
"Layra, huh? That's a nice name. And your friend's name?" Zack said kindly as he pointed to the stuffed bear.
"B-Barry." Layra said softly.
"It's nice to meet you, Barry." Zack said to the bear.
This playful action caused Layra to smile a tiny bit.
'Good, now that she comfortable around me somewhat I can open Reiji's mind a bit.' Zack thought.
"What are you talking about?" Zarc asked.
Zack leaned in a bit closer to Layra, pretending to look at something. Layra was a little startled at the action. Reiji started to get out of his seat and the sisters looked at him weirdly.
"Ah Zack? Don't you think your getting a little too close to him?" Serena asked.
'Alright that should be long enough.' Zack thought as he pulled away to look at Reiji. "Hey Reiji. You called Layra your brother, right?"
"Yes I did. So what?" Reiji asked with narrowed eyes.
Zack blinks a couple times for effect. Looks at Layra then back to Reiji.
"But Layra's a girl." Zack revealed.
The now revealed girl looked at Zack in surprise that he easily found out her secret.
The older people's minds went blank at what Zack just said.
(Insert the *dot-dot-dot* scene)
"…Eh?" the sisters asked.
"…Come again?" Reiji asked as his glasses became tinted.
"Layra is a little girl." Zack clarified. "Didn't you know that?"
"This kid is a girl?!" Zarc exclaimed in shock.
(Yu*p*. Surprising, isn't it?) Zack asked as he was mentally enjoying their shocked looks.
"H-How did you know?" Layra asked.
Zack turns back to Layra and smiles.
"From afar you definitely look like a boy in those clothes, but if you get closer you can tell." Zack said. 'Plus having knowledge about character genders helps too.'
Reiji stands up from his chair and walks over to his newly found out sister. Noticing him, Zack moves out of the way. Reiji takes Zacks previous spot.
"Layra, why didn't you tell us?" the older brother asked. "Least of all me?"
Layra looks down in shame.
"I-I was afraid." Layra said.
"Afraid?" Reiji asked. "Afraid of what?"
"You and Okasan always thought I was a boy when you found me and if I told you that I wasn't then…then…" Layra stared to say as tears formed in her eyes. "I thought you wouldn't want me anymore!"
Reiji was surprised to hear that and quickly wrapped his sister in a hug.
"It doesn't matter if you're a boy, girl or any other identity." Reiji said. "We will love you regardless. That I promise you, Layra."
"Onii-sama!" Layra cried as she tightly hugged her brother.
The 4 humans and 1 spirit watched the heart-warming scene in front of them in silence. After a while the 2 separated. Layra wiped away the last of her tears as Reiji took a calming breath before turning back to the group and looked at Zack.
"Thank you, Zack." Reiji said.
"I don't know what you're thanking me for." Zack shrugged. "I was simple making an observation and then answered your question."
Reiji simply smiled. He observed and had a feeling that Zack always knew more then he let on but decided to keep quite about it. Zack and the girls have already proven more then enough they can be trusted allies. Just then Nakajima returned. Everyone turned to him when he spoke up.
"Master Reiji." Nakajima said. "I have news.
"Yes, what is it Nakajima?" Reiji asked his most trusted friend.
"I was just informed that Sylvio Sawatari was entered the building with Yuya Sakaki." Nakajima said.
'WHAT?!' Zack yelled in his head. 'We've been talking for that long?!'
"Seems time flies when you're busy." Zarc said.
"I see." Reiji said as he made his way back over to his desk.
When he reached it, he pressed a button and turned on a large screen that hung in the corner of the room. On the screen everyone saw the "Prince Prick" himself with Yuya, Yuzu and the kids from You Show Duel School. Serena was quick to notice Yuzu right away.
"Look that pink haired girl!" she pointed.
"She has our face!" Rin said.
"So that means she's-" Ruri started to say.
"Your sister." Zack finished. "Ray's Standard Dimension Piece."
He then turned to Reiji.
"Can you get her info?" Zack asked.
"Of course." Reiji said as he turned to his assistant. "Nakajima."
"Sir." Nakajima nodded as he pulled out a data pad. "Yuzu Hiragi. Age 17. Her father owns the You Show Duel School. Her deck is "Melodious".
"You know I just realized something." Rin said.
"And that is?" Serena asked.
"Not only are we all the same age, our Birthdays are all probably on the same day too." Rin answered.
"You might be right." Ruri said. "The same could be said about Zack and his brothers."
While the girls were talking about things like that, Zack knew he needed to get down there pronto, but first.
"Why are they here?" Zack asked Reiji. "If Yuzu's father owns a dueling school, then that means Yuya, and those kids are apart of that school too."
The girls stopped discussing about birthdays and turned in our direction. Reiji took a breath and sighed. He knew he needed to be clean about this as they are now allies.
"It was so LDS could analyse Yuya's Pendulum Cards." Reiji revealed. "By acquiring them from him."
"Wait, you mean steal them?" Ruri accused.
"What the hell!" Serena demanded.
"Not stealing." Reiji corrected. "Simply borrowing them until the research was done and then I would have returned them personally."
"But why?" Rin asked.
"It's so you could have a leg up on Leo." Zack said. "Something to use against our enemies."
"That's right." Reiji confirmed. "As you probably already saw on the tv, Pendulum Summoning let's one summon multiple monsters at once, if their level is within the "Pendulum Scales"."
"Pendulum Scales?" Ruri asked.
Reiji pressed another button on his desk and brought up a small holographic screen above his desk. It showed Yuya's duel against Strong when he began to Pendulum Summon.
"Look here." Reiji pointed. "See how his 2 monsters in the columns of light have numbers under them? Those are his Pendulum Monsters. The scales are between 1 to 8. Therefore, monsters leveled 2 to 7 can be summoned."
"Oh wow." Rin gasped.
"And it can be any monster?" Serena asked in shock.
"As long as their level resides in within the scale, that is what we believe yes." Reiji confirmed.
"If that's the case, you probably should've asked someone else to do it." Zack said.
"And why is that?" Reiji asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Because that Sawatari guy looks like someone who only cares about himself and wants everything of value to belong to him." Zack answered. "And he'll do anything to get what he wants."
"How can you be sure?" Reiji asked.
"You only wanted Yuya here, right?" Zack asked. "So why bring Yuzu and those kids with them?"
Upon that question, Reiji's eyes widen and snaps his head to the large screen, already realized what Zack was saying. He wasn't the only one as everyone else, even Layra, knew what he was hinting at.
"No way. He wouldn't do something like that?" Ruri asked. "Would he?"
"Greed is a powerful sin." Zack said.
He then made his way to the door.
"Let me know where their going." Zack said before he stops and looks back at Reiji. "I know you want the Pendulum cards, but there not worth putting innocent people in danger for."
"And I fully agree with you, Zack." Reiji said as he opened a drawer in his desk and reached inside.
He tossed something to Zack who caught it, seeing it was a white Standard Dimension duel disk.
"That's my personal duel disk." Reiji explains. "Since yours is from a different dimension, we don't want to anyone asking questions about your origins. I will have some of my people make duel disks for you 4."
"Got it and thanks." Zack nodded to Reiji as the sisters walked up to him.
"We're coming too." Serena said with a tone that left no room for arguments.
"Our sister is in possible danger." Rin said.
"Not to mention those other kids as well." Ruri finished.
"Okay then." Zack said with a smile. "Then let's go help them."
With that, the group of 4 left the room.
"I hope they'll be safe." Layra said.
Reiji looked at his sister.
"You seem to really warm up to Zack fast." Reiji said. "That has never happened to anyone before. Why is that?"
"I-I don't know." Layra said. "H-He just gave off a comforting feeling. Just like you Onii-sama."
"I see." Reiji said as he turned to look at the hanging screen. "Nakajima, see if any duel reservations have been placed by Sawatari today. Then send the information to Zack."
"Yes sir." said man answered as he began to check on his pad.
The group went back down to the ground floor to look for Yuya's group before it was too late.
"This way." Zack said as he led them to the back of LDS.
"Why?" Serena asked.
"That Sawatari guy is probably going to duel Yuya the second he swipes his cards." Zack answered. "We just have to find the biggest field is all."
Then a message comes through Reiji's duel disk.
"Zack Hikari. This is Nakajima." Nakajima's voice was heard.
"What is it?" Zack asked. "Did you find where their going?"
"Yes." Nakajima said. "Sawatari made a reservation for the LDS Center Court earlier this day. It is located at the back of the school."
"Thanks! We'll head there right now!" Zack responded before the connection was cut.
Zack then looks at the girls.
"You hear that?" Zack asked.
"Yeah." Rin nodded.
"Let's go!" Ruri said.
The group then began to run in the direction of the center field. On the way however, someone turned a corner and Zack rammed right into them, causing the 2 to fall on the ground.
"Oww!" both Zack and the unknown person said.
"Zack!" the sisters gasped.
"Ouch! What's the big idea?" the known snapped. "Didn't anyone tell you to watch where you're going?"
"Hey, we're in a rush!" Zack snapped back. "Besides, you walked in front of me-"
Zack stopped when he got a good look at who it was he ran into.
"Sora?!" Zack exclaimed in surprise.
"Huh?" Sora asked.
Sora Perse. A duelist from the Fusion Dimension. Zack made sure to find him while he was there to build a connection with him so he could turn him to the good guy's side earlier then canon. The 2 had a sibling relationship. Sora looked up to Zack like a big brother, especially when he gained his fear of Yuri and his Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. He also made sure to get the idea that Fusion Summoning was better then the others when Leo revealed the other Dimensions out of his head.
"I guess Leo already sent him here before we started our plan." Zarc said.
"Who are you and how do you know my name?" Sora asked. "Hold on. Yuri?"
"Wait, Sora?" Serena asked.
Sora looked up and saw Serena as well as Rin and Ruri.
"Serena?" Sora asked. "Wait why are there 3 of you? And why is Yuri here?!"
"That's not Yuri, it's Zack." Serena said.
"Zack?" Sora asked as he looked at Zack again.
"Yeah, it's me Sora." Zack confirmed.
He stood up and gave a hand to Sora to help him up. Sora looked at him a bit longer before taking it.
"Why are you here in Standard, Sora?" Zack asked.
"The Professor gave me a mission to scout this place out." Sora explained. "Why are you here?"
"Oh no!" Rin gasped. "He must've been planning to invade Standard next!"
"Thanks to Zack, it should give us more time." Ruri said.
"What are you guys talking about?" Sora asked.
Before Zack could answer him, his loaner disk beeped. Signaling him about a new message.
"Zack Hikari, you need to get to the Center Field!" Nakajima said. "I'm afraid what you were hinting at before has happened."
"Shit! We'll be there soon!" Zack said.
"You all go on ahead." Serena said. "I'll tell Sora what's going on."
"You sure?" Zack asked.
Her only response was to nod. With that the 3 ran on ahead.
"Seriously! Can anyone fill me in?" Sora demanded.
"It's a bit of a long story." Serena said. "But what I'm about to tell you is all true."
With Reiji, Layra and Nakajima they were watching the duel between Yuya and Sawatari already start. Reiji decided to let them duel so they could gain data on the Pendulum Cards… however things took a turn that he honestly hoped didn't go.
"*tch* Seems like Zack was right." Reiji said. "He really did put Yuzu and those kids in a dangerous situation. Though I didn't think it would be like this."
Sawatari had some goons grab Yuzu as well as the kids and placed them in an area that turned into a bridge. However, the bridge was so tall that if anyone jumped off, it would not end well for them. Yuya had no choice but to duel to save his friends. As much as Reiji wanted to stop the duel even when he noticed Sawatari's goons going around the Action Field and placing Action Spell near him to use, he needed the data on the Pendulum Cards so LDS could start making their own and perfect before Academia showed up. Therefore, he helped Sawatari Pendulum Summon to gather the data.
"Are you sure we shouldn't stop this duel sir?" Nakajima asked.
"We can't." Reiji answered. "Not until we gather enough data. Besides, Zack will no doubt show up soon to save them."
Zack, Ruri and Rin had just gotten to the field when Sawatari successfully Pendulum Summoned.
"Pendulum Summon! Level 5 Power Dart Striker! Level 6 Rocket Dart Striker! And Finally, Level 7 Ultimate Dart Striker!" Sawatari announced.

"Awesome! Very awesome!" Sawatari said. "Pendulum Summon is the best!"
He then started laughing like a cliché movie villain.
"That guy is so obnoxious." Rin commented.
"We'll deal with him later." Zack said. "For now, look for Yuzu and those kids."
"There!" Ruri said as she pointed at the bridge.
Zack and Rin look at the top of it to see Yuzu holding onto one of the kids who's close to falling off.
"How could that jerk put them in such a place?" Rin asked.
"I'll ask him once I'm finished kicking his ass." Zack said before jumping onto the field. "After I save those 4 first!"
"Be careful Zack!" Rin called out.
"Hurry!" Ruri yelled.
As he made his way, jumping from building to building, Zack activated Reiji's duel disk, revealing a red blade and inserted his deck. Sawatari ordered Power to attack but Yuya used his monster Skeeter Skimmer's effect to negate the attack, but the prick used Rocket to finish it off and knocked Yuya into the virtual river. He then had Ultimate attack Yuya and dropping his LP to 600. Yuya was launched out of the water, onto a bit on concrete that holds up the bridge, but the attack caused the bridge to shake and almost made Yuzu lose her grip on the chains she was holding.
"I need something that'll get them off there safely." Zack muttered as he placed his hands on his deck. "Please give me a good hand."
He then drew 5 cards and looked at them. Luckily 1 of them was just what he needed for the current situation.
"Hell yeah!" Zack cheered. "Plus, as a bonus the rest I can use to kick Prince Pricks ass!"
Zack sees Yuya getting up and about to start his turn.
"We should hurry and act now to save them." Zarc suggested.
(Agreed.) Zack said.
He then grabs 2 cards in his hand, sending one to the GY.
"I activate the effect of Albion the Shrouded Dragon in my hand!" Zack announced.
This caused Sawatari, Yuya, Yuza and the kids she was holding to look at Zack in surprise.
"By sending 1 Branded Spell/Trap from my hand to the GY I Special Summon him to the field!" Zack said.

You can only use this effect of "Albion the Shrouded Dragon" once per turn.
Zack placed the card on the disk and summoned Albion in it's more controlled form. He quickly hopped on the dragon and flew to Yuzu.
"Hurry Albion!" Zack said. "She can't last much longer!"
"I'm going! Hold on!" Albion said.
Due to everyone being shocked, nobody said anything as they watched Zack and his dragon fly up to Yuzu and the YSD (You Show Duel) kids. Albion circled the bridge so he could get to them at a better angle. Soon Albion was close enough to them. Due to his size and looks caused the children to whimper. The dragon turned his body to show Zack, believing it better for him to talk to his fellow humans.
"Hey, it's okay!" Zack said to ease them. "We're here to save you."
When 4 saw his face, they were surprised.
"Yuya?" Yuzu asked.
"Look there's no time." Zack said. "Trust me."
"O-Okay." Yuzu nodded.
Albion gently cupped the 2 boys and held them safely in his claws. Then flapped softly so that Yuzu and the little girl with her could get on him. The girl was still a little scared of the dragon.
"Hey." Zack said to her.
She looked at Zack and saw him smiling while holding his hands out.
"It's okay." Zack said. "I won't let anything happen."
The little girl nodded her head and jumped into his arms. Zack gently placed her in front of him. He then looked at Yuzu as she jumped and landed behind Zack.
"You okay?" Zack asked.
"A lot better now, thanks." Yuzu smiled.
"No problem." Zack smiled at her. "Ready to get down from here princess?"
"P-Princess?!" Yuzu blushed hard as the little girl giggled at her.
"Take us down Albion." Zack ordered.
The dragon nodded his head and made his way down to Yuya. When he got close the ground, Albion placed the boys down first before letting Yuzu and Zack (who was carrying the little girl) off. Zack set the girl down when he stood back up.
"He did it!" Ruri cheered.
"Yay Zack!" Rin cheered.
The sisters high-fived each other.
"So I take it everything worked out?" Serena's asked.
The 2 turned to see her and Sora walking up to them.
"Yeah, Zack just saved Yuzu and the kids with her." Rin informed.
"That's good to hear." Serena sighed in relief.
"Now all we have to do is wait for him to finish up." Ruri said.
They turned back to watch the rest. Sora was especially watching Zack.
"Is everyone okay?" Zack asked the kids as he kneeled.
"A little shanked up, but okay." a boy with blue hair said.
"It gave me shivers!" a chunky boy said.
"Thank you so much for saving us Onii-chan!" the red-haired girl said.
"I'm glad." Zack said as he stood up and turned to Yuzu. "And you princess?"
"My names not "princess", it's Yuzu Hiragi!" Yuzu snapped before becoming bashful. "But yes, I'm fine thank you."
"That's good." Zack nodded.
"Yuzu! Tatsuya! Futoshi! Ayu!" Yuya exclaimed as he ran up to them. "Are you all okay?!"
"We're fine Yuya." Yuzu said with a smile.
"That's great!" Yuya said before turning to Zack with a hand stretched out. "Thanks for… saving… them…"
He started to trail off as he saw Zacks face being the same as his.
"Zack Hikari, and it was my pleasure." Zack introduced himself.
Zack shook Yuya's hand and snapped him out of his shock.
"HEY!" the annoying voice of prince prick shouted.
The group turned to said pricks direction.
"Who the heck do you think you are?!" Sawatari demanded. "I reserved the field to duel and test out my Pendulum Cards, so butt out!"
"You mean the Pendulum Cards you stole?" Zack countered. "You know that's illegal, right? Your penalty would make you unable to touch another card as long as you live."
Sawatari flinched.
"Is that true?" Zarc asked.
(No idea, but I want to see the asshole squirm.) Zack said.
"Fair enough." Zarc said.
"Ha, my father is expected to be the next mayor!" Sawatari gloated. "So even if that happened, he'd take care of it."
"Oh Kami, you're one of those people with a "Daddy Card"?" Zack cringed.
This caused the YSD to laugh while said daddy's boy gritted his teeth.
"Just hurry and get lost already so I can beat that loser!" Sawatari said in an arrogant tone.
"The only loser getting beat today is you." Zack retorted before glancing at Yuya. "Do you mind?"
"Not at all." Yuya nodded.
"I draw!" Zack said as he drew a card. "Now before I begin, I think a little change in scenery is needed. I play the Field Spell Card: Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda!"

All "Springans" Xyz Monsters on the field gain 1000 ATK. You can only use each of the following effects of "Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda" once per turn. If you control no "Springans" Xyz Monsters: You can discard 1 "Springans" card; Special Summon 1 "Springans" Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck. If a face-up Xyz Monster you control leaves the field by card effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; it cannot attack for the rest of this turn (even if this card leaves the field).
Soon the city like field began to fade away and be replaced with a desert with pillars sticking out of the sand dunes. Everyone looked around in awe.
"Wow!" Ayu said.
"He completely changed the field!" Tatsuya exclaimed.
"Shivers!" Futoshi said.
"Now there won't be any risks of people getting put on tall buildings now." Zack said.
"So what if you changed the field?" Sawatari scoffed. "Not like it's going to help you."
"Just you wait and see." Zack smirked as he took a card from his hand. "Since I control a face-up field spell, I can Special Summon Supreme Sovereign Serpent of Golgonda in attack mode!"
When Zack placed the card on the blade a giant serpent exploded out of the sand.

Everyone looked at the serpent in shock and awe.
"No way!" Yuya exclaimed. "He summoned a Level 8 monster like it was nothing!"
Sawatari was a little scared until he noticed something and began to laugh.
"Who cares what Level it is if it doesn't have any attack points!" Sawatari mocked Zack as he laughed some more.
"You're right." Zack shrugged. "Why would I summon a monster with no attack points? Especially when I could have done it with the field spell from before due to it being a face-up spell for both duelists?"
He turned to the kids.
"Does anyone know why?" Zack asked them.
Tatsuya, Futoshi and Ayu thought about it. Even Yuya and Yuzu were thinking about it. Tatsuya then raised his hand and Zack pointed to him.
"Tatsuya." Zack said.
"Your Field Spell Card gives your monster a special boost?" Tatsuya guessed.
"Ding, ding, ding! That's exactly right!" Zack cheered. "When Supreme Sovereign Serpent of Golgonda is summoned to the field while I have the Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda in play, his attack point jumps all the way to 3000!"
Upon hearing this Prince Prick stops laughing.
"… Say what now?" he asks.
Supreme Sovereign Serpent of Golgonda
ATK: ? – 3000
He then cries out in surprise.
"Oh but the surprises don't end there!" Zack announced. "For you see, my field spell has another nifty little ability. Who wants to see it?"
"Me!" the three kids and Yuya raised their hands. Yuzu sighed at Yuya's antics but was smiling at the kid's excitement. Although for some reason, while looking at Zack her checks felt warm and her heart sped up a bit.
Over by Serena, Ruri, Rin and Sora. They were watching the duel and Zack's little show.
"He seems to be having fun." Rin giggled.
"That's Zacknii-san for you." Sora said as he sucked on a lollipop. "Always wants to have a fun time dueling."
"He's really caring for others, isn't he?" Ruri asked with a smile.
"Yeah." Serena agreed with a smile of her own. "Yeah, he is."
(Insert music: A Battle that Cannot be Lost)
"And what can your Field Spell do?" Sawatari asked.
"This." Zack smirked "When my field is devoid of Springan Xyz monsters, by discarding a Springan monster in my hand to the GY I can Special Summon an Springan Xyz monster from my Extra Deck to my field!"
"Your Xyz Summoning without Xyz Summoning?!" Sawatari yelled in shock.
"That's right!" Zack confirmed. "By discarding Springan Kitt to the GY (discards Springan Kitt) I Special Summon Rank 8: Springans Ship – Exblowrer!"

Once again, the desert sands explode as something emerges from it. This time it being a giant wind-sail ship. The kids had stars in their eyes when they saw it.
"That's so cool!" Ayu squealed.
"SHIVERS!" Futoshi exclaimed.
"I've never heard of someone Xyz Summoning this way before!" Tatsuya said.
Yuya and Yuzu are too shocked to say anything.
With Reiji, Layra and Nakajima, they were in shock at seeing what Zack had done. Reiji then cracks a smile.
"It would seem we have made a powerful and skilled ally." Reiji said. "I look forward to see what else he can do."
Back with the multiply Dimension crew, their jaws were dropped. Serena turned to Ruri.
"Hey Ruri? Do you know anyone in your Dimension that can do that?" Serena asked.
"N-No." Ruri answered.
"As cool as that was, it's still weaker than that other guy's weakest monster." Sora pointed out.
"Something tells me that Zack already has that covered." Rin guessed.
Sawatari also was quick to point out Exbrowrer's lower attack.
"S-So what if you can Xyz Summon like that!" Sawatari stuttered with a weak grin. "It's way too weak to do anything!"
"Whoops! Did I forget to mention that every Springan monster on the field gets a 1000 attack boost while Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda is in play?" Zack asked.
"…Nani…?" Sawatari squeaked.
Springans Ship – Exblowrer
ATK: 1600 – 2600
"Time to finish this!" Zack announced. "Battle! Albion attacks your Power Dart Striker!"
Albion unleashed a blast of flames at the monster, destroying it easily.
Sawatari LP: 4000 – 3300
"Next is Exblowrer attacking Rocket Dart Striker!"
Multiple rockets flew from the ship and destroyed Rocket. Ironic isn't?
Sawatari LP: 3300 – 2600
"And now it's time to feed my serpent." Zack joked. "Sike'em!"
"Action Card! Action Card!" Sawatari said looking around. "Where's an Action Card when you need one?!"
He couldn't find one as Supreme Sovereign Serpent of Golgonda swallowed Ultimate Dart Striker whole.
Sawatari LP: 2600 – 2000
Sawatari looked at his field in rage.
"Damn it!" Sawatari growled. "These rare cards are worthless!"
"It's not the cards Sawatari, it's the duelist." Zack called out to him.
"Nani?!" Sir Prick shouted. "A chosen one like me is a top-ranking duelist! I don't have problems! Just end your turn already!"
"Who said I was finished?" Zack asked.
"Huh?" Sawatari asked. "Are you stupid? You don't have anymore monsters to attack with."
(End music)
(Insert music: The Fight Isn't Over)
Zack just chuckled before he began to laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Sawatari demanded.
"I'm laughing at how pathetic you are." Zack answered. "You think rare cards make you a good duelist? Well they won't! I once knew of a Legendary Duelist that used low rank cards and he became the King of Games!"
"The King of Games?!" Sawatari gasped.
Everyone else was surprised at what Zack said.
'Could this be more of Zarc's memories?' Reiji questioned.
"He never lost a duel and always followed one simple rule!" Zack said.
"And what rule was that?" Sawatari asked. 'If I can get that rule then I'll be unstoppable!'
"That rule was… To believe in the Heart of the Cards!" Zack declared.
Serena, Ruri and Rin gasped. They remember hearing Zack say those words just as he drew the card that led him to beat Yuri.
"The Heart of the Cards." Reiji repeated. "For some reason, those words feel like they carry a lot of power behind them."
"Heart of… the Cards?" Sawatari asked. "What kind of garbage is that?!"
"A lesson someone like you will never learn, Sawatari." Zack said as he glared at his opponent. "I know activate an effect from my Extra Deck!"
"From your Extra Deck?!" he asked.
"You see Sawatari, I could have actually Fusion Summoned this turn…" Zack started to say.
"You can Fusion Summon as well?!" Sawatari yelled in shock as was everyone watching the duel that didn't knew.
"But there's a monster that I've been dying to try out once I got him, but couldn't due to reasons." Zack finished.
His Extra Deck slot opened, and a card popped out.
"Once per turn, when an Xyz monster on my field battled this turn," Zack said as he grabbed the card. "I can use it to Xyz Summon this monster to the field."
He holds up the card as Springans Ship – Exblowrer glows crimson.
"I overlay Rank 8: Springans Ship – Exblowrer to Xyz Summon!" Zack started to chant. "Appear Rank 12: Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder!"

Everyone stopped and looked at what stood before them. Nobody moved a muscle. ZEUS stood there as a yellow orb circled above its head.
"R-R-R-Rank… 12?" Sawatari stuttered up a storm in fear.
"Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder! Attack him directly and finish this duel!" Zack ordered.
ZEUS raised its hand as electricity gathered in its hand, aimed right at Prince Prick.
"W-Wait! L-Lets just talk about this!" Sawatari tried to beg.
"You know, Zeus is the name of a god." Zack said. "So consider this divine punishment."
"P-Punishment?" Sawatari asked.
"Punishment for putting the lives of Yuzu, Tatsuya, Futoshi and Ayu in jeopardy for your own selfish Greed!" Zack yelled. "ZEUS! Use Lightning Break Cannon!"
Hearing the command, ZEUS unleashed a blast of pure lighting and hit Sawatari dead-on, obliterating the rest of his LP.
"ah… ah… AAAHHHHH!" Sawatari screamed.
