"Wow so many castles together... it must be a bit cramped"
This was Anna's first time outside Monsters Inc. She's happy for open space here to run around and play, sad no one's there to play either though... she wished Thalia, Alexander and mini mons were here. They'd think of something...
It's strange but ever since David hair stuff happened , she feels weird something... she doesn't put much thought into that though and concluded she was just plain bored.
Anna – Valkyrie, can we play catch?
Val – Anabelle, I'll win that one you know? Big legs remember. Also try not go too far, keep your hood up too.
Tylor – So many nicknames, you must be loving it.
Anna – You bet we do Big Tree!
Anna wished she could remove the costume fully though, it makes harder to see things and she'd wanna breathe some fresh air.
Anna then joked off "Oh sure, I'll put it back on in a minute"
She decided it'll be a few more minutes instead, then kept scanning Monstropolis...
Looks quite foreign to her, what places does it have? One can climb the trees, make more friends, talk to giraffes...
Wait what giraffes?
Anna looked at trees again , and could swear she saw a shaded figure that looked very much like giraffe watching her from afar...
It wasn't moving much, just standing there...
It was rather creepy...
Anna – Hey Vallie, look there's a giraffe here!
Val's confused as they wrap up the old slogan rug, she looks at Anna then at where she's pointing but sees nothing but trees.
Val – Nah nah Annie, that's just a tree, you probably mistook it.
Anna insisted but then noticed it was gone now. Not a trace... maybe she scared it away?
Cutter – Honestly you too can make someone laugh Anna, just as our slogan suggests here.
Anna looks up to see the writing "It's laughter we are after' heheh I love it! But I didn't know we had a team slogan"
Val – We didn't, our very own MIFTER, Double T came up with it.
Tylor – It's quite catchy plus it's easy to remember.
Duncan – Still think my option 'our fun business, not your business so mind your business!' What do you say? Like it right?"
Anna booed
Anna – Too long Dunc Dunc. Can I sit on the side now?
She pointed at vehicle
Duncan – Nope. Too dangerous, too close An An~
Duncan – And I was right, like always... too close to fall, and soon we will too.
Val rubs her head where she hit, in part also out of annoyance...
She also noticed Anna's strand of hair wasn't as pale as previously... something's clearly wrong with that head grass really...
Tylor – That's why we need to hurry be creative. Technically we should make energy canisters...
Fritz – Cutter, you heard him.
Duncan – I still think we should get back screams.
Fritz – Drastic stuff's not needed yet Duncan, plus it gives shorter energy . Now go.
Anna plays with her dinosaur not listening anything that they spoke about.
She also listened to Val's tablet which she gave to Anna temporarily... And it was speaking with Thalia's voice.
Thalia – You get what I said right?
Anna – Mmm... it's a box with voices?
Thalia – Hmm okay that will do. How are you?
Anna – I seen a giraffe outside and it ran away, other than that it's boring...
She then picked it up and walked to Roto's cage, still persistent to try befriend him... Since it didnt work with the giraffe, he's so far the only animal she knew here that could play with her. Just needs a little hug hopefully.
Thalia could too but she's at a distance currently.
Anna looks down a bit sad at the familiar situation...
She sometimes wished they had a third sibling to spend time with them if they themselves couldn't.
Thalia – Anna? Are you there?
Anna – What? What were you saying?
Thalia – Who is growling there and are you okay? I've had that time when I was so sad, I didn't wanna speak to anyone..
Anna – ... I just miss my parents, and my sister...
Thalia – Yeah... been there too...
At Monsters Inc entry
Tylor was thinking on his next move after Ms. Flint's offer.
'Should I leave? I mean I wanted to from the start, but now I feel it's kind of rude... MIFT really grew on me, but should I just quit the chance too? Can't keep telling mom and dad "I'm working on it"... And what about Anna? She may not like that, neither may Fritz...'
"Laughter we are after"
He looks up at Sulley who sits right next to him.
"You named it like that once 1st day remember? From scarer to jokester, I'd find it hard really so you one-uped me now"
Tylor – In training, unofficially.
Sulley – Nervous? Understandable.
Tylor – Then you should get that we may need to return scare power right? You and I both can solve energy crisis comparably better...
At that Sulley looked uncertain, lack of response didn't give optimism on the idea and looked rather mournful
Sulley – I didn't yet tell you what happened with us and Bu?
Tylor – Mike did mention that kid but... did something happen to her?
Sulley – Like Anna she was a child, so adorable and playful... but when she saw me at work, screaming and scaring in simulations ... the terror in her eyes whenever I approached her. I... I hated what I saw there, what I saw in me...
Tylor couldn't help but remember that time, when he destroyed that crazed machine... Anna's fear of him... scared for her life...
It was an unlikeable memory...
It felt unforgivable...
Tylor – Oh, so that's why...
Sulley – Yes, that's why laughs now are in heart of monster corporation now... it's the right thing to do...
After that conversation with Sulley, Tylor was close to making up his mind...
But first he decided to buy Crispy Crapes for MIFTERS, maybe the last ones... he made sure to get one with chocolate for a little redhead.
Val – Oooh Crispy Crapes~
Cutter – Nice to eat here.
Duncan – So what happened College Boy? Left yesterday, had hopes you won't be back.
Tylor frowned as usual before dropping a hammer.
Tylor – I do have something to tell. But first, Anna here!
Anna left Roto to approach Tylor who gives her a chocolate donut , which she ate in excitement .
Tylor – Well, did you like it?
Anna – It's delicious! Thanks Tallor!
Tylor eyes roll as he smiles at her misspell or maybe nickname.
Tylor – Here's some more, you can give some to Roto if you want.
Roto looked from his glass box at Anna
"If he plays nice, I might~"
Duncan – Don't listen to her Roto, that's just what she wants- then bang! She'll kidnap you and won't give back!
Anna – No I won't! *sticks her tongue at him and runs back*
Tylor laughs at this slightly as he slips "heh yeah don't think I'll miss this"
Fritz – Miss this? Do you have anywhere else to go?
Tylor -... Yesterday Mike said there'd spot on laugh floor so...
Val – So he offered you jokesters job?
Tylor motions to be silent "yes but I'm at training. And let's not tell Anna yet...
Fritz – Ah yes, she got wrong first impression on you but lil' red loves ya inside like she does us all.
Val – So much her love can hold up the world... but how long before she notices?
Tylor – hey it's not goodbye, I'm gonna come down here. She won't see, I think.
Cutter – Do what you want man but lying to you child, adopted or not, may end in ugly mess.
Mike's voice from ceiling speaker calls
"Tylor Tuskmon request you on laugh floor! Tylor Tusk- TUSKMON COME UP ALREADY!"
Tuskman looks over everyone, expressions from sad to supportive
Tylor – Well... goodbye?
Anna – Goodbye?
Tylor frozen in place, mentally slapping himself ,luckily he gets help from from unexpected ally
Duncan – Yeah bye as in see you in few hours! Like always, here don't let door hit you or catch you by horns.
Tylor – Yes what he said! I'm gonna go , be back in uh 12 or some hours okay?
Tylor pats her head before going out.
He hoped she'd buy into it, that maybe she won't know. But kids are more aware than people think. Anna especially noticed manner he said that, her parents sounded like that too lately...
She held her toy tightly.
Once there was a bye-bye ceremony with poster 'Good Luck Tylor!', Anna sat on floor not looking or speaking to Tylor.
"Hey I'll just be up stairs, you know you can visit whenever Val let's you?"
Anna – Yeah, I can but it's not same... Elsa's also in another room but we can't talk or see each other anymore...
Tylor remembers the lady they saw there in that dreamscape
"Why don't you stay?... do you have to go?"
Tylor – You'll be fine Anna. I'm sure it's not easy for you but one day once older, you'll understand... not always will it be like you want it to be.
Anna – That's a sad adulthood then, Big Teeth..
Tylor – I thought so too once by the way, when I was little... I thought my childhood ending is just end of fun... I'll have to work full time, no games, no relief... guess what?
Anna – You were in school all time?
Tylor – No, no... Well I was at University but no. I meant that I'm quite satisfied. Not that I won't want more... Sure it didn't go exactly as I imagined but I'm glad I met them, and I met you. You'll do great I future too, all you need to do is make a list and schedule. Part job, part jam.
Anna giggled "What's a jam even? I like song better"
Tylor pats her "Yeah I see that... see? You are good"
Anna – I'll be the coolest queen out there one day!
Tylor – Of that we can all but agree.
On that day Tylor left MIFT and saved Monsters Inc from Fear Co.
A while later
This day was funnier.
It felt like a celebration was taking place.
Anna, along with other MIFTERs, was now going to the laugh floor and she is held tight not to fall off the vehicle.
She could hear there were a lot of people there, as she looks through the costume could see much of decorations and make ups.
Anna – Wow the whole hall room is in a party!
Fritz – I'm happy and sad at same time too!
Anna could see many monsters, including Sulley before seeing large map above him.
Anna – What is that map up there?
It certainly didn't look like Arendelle...
Cutter – That's where these boys are going for laughs.
Duncan - Here specifically it's Toronto. I heard it's usually cold there so Snowman may go there for all we know. Now back to my ex rival!
Anna then sees Tylor with toy filled box.
Val – Ready to start?
Anna – Always!
They had a surprise for Tylor who was prepping to enter the door to Toronto wherever that was...
It was now her and Val that'll help him out on his new direction
Val – Someone has to bring MIFTER energy to the laugh floor right?
Tylor – Right... heh I guess so.
Anna – Work buds! Together again!
Trio fist bumps.
They should as well try not to mess up at the gig now.
1. Don't think it's over yet. Trust me it ain't.
2. Anna's abandonment issues still persist but for now they lay dormant.
3. Monstropolis stands for Minneapolis where war on poverty turned war on crime. Fits well given widespread energy crisis Waternoose's kidnaping schemes.
And lastly sorry if it's like a roller coaster chapter but what can I say. Turned out how it did. Hopefully you'll enjoy.
