"Wait what?!" Tylor exclaimed in shock
"What do you mean she's lost in the doors?!"
Val – We were just checking out the door, i warned her not to go too far... and then the blackout happened when she was already on the other side... I swear I didn't know!
Tylor could see her tear up.
Tylor –...Okay then let's get her back! We have to get Mr Wazowski!
[Anna's Side]
For some time, she had strange nightmares so she preferred to sleep with Val like with her mother back home.
She hoped this would be better... and it was .
Except this time she had another dream, where she was under a magical tree...
Also she saw herself with a little talking ant.
She called herself Princess Dot.
'WoH you are bigger than a bird! I wish I could be like that'
They appeared to be playing together.
Anna catapulting her up into the sky before catching her again.
She also sees herself jumping in water puddles... in a rain.
Overall, Anna went from shock to amazement at first seeing citizen monsters, now talking bugs!
She then woke up early in morning to help Val on floor of laughs. Then they looked at door they had.
Anna beamed curiously, wanting to know just where it was leading.
They are way quicker in travelling, she wished they had them back home.
Val asked her not go too far in there , she may need to run back in , otherwise she'd be caught...
(Val didn't tell her that in the case, they may be forced to shut the door and leave her behind. Banished. Val may disobey that protocol tho )
Anna nodded, promised not to go too far so she gone there just a little.
She was disappointed, she saw nothing but a corridor with another door and... people sleeping inside.
Not wanting to wake them up she went through the door again... except when that happened, it led her outside the trailer no back to laugh floor...
She gone from confused to scared as she closed it and opened again to go back but nothing happened.
She kept going ignorant of people waking up from those sounds.
Mae boy – Mmmm...Ah... Wha?!
Sees Anna in her monster suit and yells out
"MA! PA! ANOTHER MONETARY GATOR HERE! ABD IT'S BREAKING THE DOOR!"
Leonie lady groans before seeing Anna running away outside
"Decided to vandalise us?! You messed with wrong survivor here!"
Chester guy – Ma, gimme my shotgun! C'mere!
She gets chased away from the trailer, not stopping especiall when she heard gunshots!
She runs off into the distance, breathing heavily and thinking badly
What should she do!? Wahoo now?! She's still again now here!
She was panicking inside as her white streak grew larger...
'Calm down... breathe... you're safe... just find your happy place...'
A soft voice in her mind trying to stabilise her mental state...
She did exactly that. She breathes in, and out.
In and out.
Anna – Okay Anna you are future hero and you'll get into these funky places again... so make a plan.
She keeps walking, looking around the place... those three won't be nice to her if she goes back...
She seen only hills and fields, expanding far and wide.
Her eyes fell on a long bonsai tree...
'Go... go there...'
Something within her guided her towards that tree.
Trying to be in positive mood she did that in her manner.
Running and jumping playfully through the bushes grabbing and waving grass and flowers like a little bird.
She noticed a set of boxes rolling toward cliffside... like a wagon.
"okay everyone! We have arrived! Next stop Antz Isle!"
Anna furrows her eyes, did that flea just talk?!
Molt – Yes Mr flea! Of course sir! Right on spot sir! I just can't wait to see Antz Island again. Such am honour-
P.T. Flea – And shutting up!
Francis – Should've gotten used to it already Pete. Dim your turn!
Anna sees a large beetle then flying up on top of boxes before flying them all towards the tree.
Most of them not even noticed her, except two Hungarian twin pill bugs Tuck and Roll who spoke gibberish...
Anna – I didn't imagine it. Woah! I definitely should go there!
Talking bears and bulls now talking bugs!
She kept going as she makes her way down, jumping from one rock to next... Once slipping and hitting her butt.
Anna – Ouuch.
She looks in water reflection, seeing her pony tails were gone, then again she looks good with loose hair.
Her costume lost one of it's eyes, now that didn't look pretty...
"Oops heheh now c'mon Anna, gotta find a door in that tree"
Looking at that tree, she wonders if she seen it before.
Then again she saw many trees...
She then proceeds to cross the riverbed, jumping from one puddle to another.
She doesn't hear clouds gathering above her, signalling the upcoming rain.
[Antz Isle]
Queen Atta – EVERYONE get inside! The rain is underway!
The antz were running inside in panic .
They clearly didn't expect any rain yet, instead planned to watch circus bugs perform.
Well the plans changed.
P.T. Flea – Oh you gotta be kidding!? My circus!
Heimlich – Ah that's bad! My wings' get wet!
Rosie – C'mon Dim get in there!
Dim – I'm going as fast as I can, I can't walk over them!
Many – One who hurries makes ones laugh.
Gypsy – honey that's not the laughs we seek right hon?
Manny – Course not dear my...
P.T. Flea, Molt, and the two millipedes within the two 'Casey Jr. Cookies' boxes, trying to anchor them to the ground.
Manny – But some of us clearly do.
Ex-Queen – It's same every year. It comes, it riots, it leaves... it doesn't tell anyone when it does. That's it's nature and that's our fate. It's not much but it's how life is.
Atta – Mother now is not the time! Where is Dot?
Flik – Last time I remember she was inside already
[Dot's Side]
Dot – Flik you know well but you didn't yet saw me well enough.
Dot always loved Flik's weirdness and abilities to take risks of doing the impossible. That's why she's doing this!
She decided to prove something to her colony too. She made a cloak that would block from rain drops.
It'll protect them from getting washed away and they may even travel in such weather.
They'll drop their leafs when they see this.
Now her sister and mother will be mad but they'll be proud of her later.
That was the plan except I met a few other complications.
She came close to cliff edge readying for rain drops. And she took some ropes to make sure she won't get taken away.
But then she heard something...
"Oof! Climbing up is hard!"
She sees a big tentacle and an even bigger head emerging from beneath.
A giant with big teeth mouth, there was a head inside it...
And it was climbing up , freezing her on spot in fear.
The head then saw her...
And stared for a moment...
Looking unsure what to do or sat just like her...
Dot never met a human before...
And Anna didn't speak one on one with a bug... she only seen spiders and they don't talk...
Anna wanted to see if she imagined it so she started first.
"uhm hi there? I came here to find a door... do you know anything?"
There was no answer at first...
"uhm can you talk?"
Dot gathers up whatever courage she had, trying to show bravery.
"I... I can talk of course! What question is that!?"
"Oh great! So you know anything about the doors here?"
She didn't understand what giantess meant by the door... unless she means entry to her hive? Her colony?
After hopper died by a bird, grasshoppers tried coming back to get even, even helping some termites who wanted ants to be expelled.
Does this giant also...?!
Dot – I-I am Princess Dot of Antz Isle! And my colony is here to stay you hear that big teeth!?
Anna – Hey no need to save scream... wait you are also a princess!? That's great too! I'm also-
Then there came a bird flying up at her head before then going after Dot who ran back into the plant woods.
Anna then pulls herself up before slipping forward and nearly smashing into a bird who then tried grabbing onto spiky plants but failed.
Anna – Bad bird! Bad!
She then waved at it forcing it to run away before she looked for Dot.
Anna – Where are you? Don't worry it's gone now...
Dot didn't come out yet...
Anna – Hey, I don't bite... I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm a princess too you see...
Dot's expressed confusion. A princess too? As in there's more than one out there?
Dot – You are a Princess? How?
She sees little bug coming out.
Anna – Oh well I'm born into royal family... that's one of ways how. And you... wait you are?
Dot – I am but giants have rulers? Oh, right... yes that's right you do! Every pack has a leader! Say can you come with me?
Blocking the rain is one achievement but befriending the giant is even better!
'WoH you are bigger than a bird! I wish I could be like that'
Anna – Heeey, I seen you in my dreams! That talking ant under big tree! So you'll help me! Thank you! I'm princess Anna. You are Dat right?
She stretched out her tentacle hands to Dot who simply touched it. Dot looked at her suspiciously...
Dot – Dot! Princess Dot!
Anna giggled "It's a funny name"
Dot chuckled "Anna is also weird hahahaha"
Then a drop of rain came down, reminding her what's coming.
She jumps on Anna's arm before she was catapulted into the air.
She yelped before she landed back into Anna's hands.
Dot – Hey! What was that!?
Anna – Sorry, I thought you'd like it like in that dream.
She yells out "Okay anyways, Anna! Please follow where I'm pointing at quickly! Rain is coming"
Anna – Oh right!
She then jumped in one of the puddles, laughing.
Until she looks up as the sounds of lightning scared them both.
Dot – Please hurry!
Anna then runs into plants having spikes scratch her sides.
Luckily she has her suit on so she didn't feel as much pain.
Dot – You are quite risky too!
Anna – You wont leap, you won't fly!
Dot – Right there with YAAA!
She sees Dot slipping as her arm got wet. So she did the obvious.
She lifts her arm to her suit teeth as Dot yelled out " No no! Please don't eat me!"
Anna – Eww I don't eat bugs! Don't worry, I'll hide you in here, hold onto something though.
That she did, putting her inside and covering her head.
Dot – Woah! So wait this is a suit?
Anna – Yeah it looks weird right? Like someone ate me!
Dot – Yes what is up with that! Life cycle messes up!
Anna – You know I never had an ant friend before so its already unusual.
Dot -... heh true. I also never had a giant friend before.
[Antz Hideout]
Atta – What do you mean she's not here?!
"Your highness we've searched and not even her friends know!"
Francis – Yo didn't you say she was here?
Flik – I said 'the last time I remembered', I don't know maybe she changed her mind?
Atta – oh I hope that she's okay...
Ex-Queen – My daughter doesn't know how to swim too, she'll get-
Then the dome cover was shaking , it's moving! Something's opening it!
The antz didn't know what's happening so they stood back before a tentacle like hand came down.
Some screamed out in panic trying to get away and not get caught.
Some threw rocks at it.
Some even prepping Flik's sawing equipment to try cutting it up.
They did manage to tear off tentacle parts off of it but before they gone further, Princess Dot jumped down to stop them.
Dot – Wait no! Stop there now!
Then they immediately stopped.
"Princess?!"
"Dot!?"
"What is she doing?!"
"Why did she stop them?"
Atta – Everyone calm down. Dot, we'll talk about your rainy escapades later... now WHAT is that creature!
Dot – Look it's not here to hurt us! It's my new friend!
That left some confused, some shocked and some baffled.
Ex -Queen – Dot, you befriended a human?!
Anna tried to listen in but rain didn't help especially lightning.
She couldn't fit in there too, so she opted to sit under the tree and tries not let her cloak get blown off or her head will wet.
The rain intensified as she was shaking and started tearing up...
She was again alone, sitting outside in cold...
"Waaa!... Waaa!...*sniffles*... I just wanna go back..."
And right then...
A shining light made it's way throught the clouded sky...
A star shining down on where the crying child was sitting in...
As Anna looked up to see it as the inner voice told her.
'Simply wish upon a star'
Anna – Pvease! I-I only wish to go back!
And after a few painful minutes of silence, it happened...
Dot , her sister Atta, Flik , Slim and a few others bare witness to something extraordinary.
The star helped the princess.
The door had opened in the tree which was glowing bright magical power.
Dot made her way to Anna who looks at her.
Dot – Anna, what did you just do while I didn't see!?
Anna picked her up on her shoulder, smiling at Dot.
Anna – Dot, I did it. I wished upon a star and it answered! I can't believe it! It actually heard!
Dot herself was in disbelief as her eyes saw the parted clouds, the ray of light...
Dot – Anna I'm so happy for you!
Anna – I know! ... Dot, I'm sorry that I have to go... maybe you can come too?
Dot looks at her then at her colony...
Dot – I love adventures... I would love to. But I have my own pack to lead, you have your own...
One tear did escape Anna's eye, but still she let her hand down on ground for Dot to get off.
Dot – Thank you for an adventure, now go have a new one...
Anna smiled and decided to give a soldier salute.
Dot did the same.
Anna then looks at the star
Anna – Thank you too.
An then she turned towards the door of light...
And so she was gone.
...
...
The weather called down after that with the colony in awe at what had occured before them.
Dot – Mom, can I ask... how are stars born?
Ex-Queen looks at her daughter that her people and remembered an old tale...
Ex-Queen – Some say they are fireflies that ascend the skies after death, some say they are worlds far away, some say they are ancient Lords watching over everyone...
Atta – So... they are looking out for us...?
Murmurs were going on while P.T. Flea and Molt were stuck in boxes wondering what they missed. They missed out on A LOT.
Flik – Dot, you realise what a magnificent we've this was? They wint leave you alone after this!
Dot – Well it'll be annoying but I did surpassed you!
Flik smiles before they do a fist bump, not as teacher-student but as equals now.
Flik – Heh you sure did, Dot...
Dot then looks once more at the sky before looking at the tree, no longer glowing...
And mentally told Anna.
'Have a fun life, Anna'
[Monsters Inc]
Val and others were searching for that one door among many others the whole day... without success.
They were getting nervous.
Val – Great Scaradise! What have I done! This is all my fault!
Tylor – C'mon Val don't say that, you were careful! It just happens!
Mike – Yeah you know how banishment worked ri-
Val talented up again as Mike slaps himself.
Val looks on at the doors
Val – Anna , please come back safely...
As if the world heard her, the doors then started glowing...
So much there was another blackout...
Mike – Oh no! We need that power online!
Luckily it came back again.
Mike – oh! Good!
Tylor – Hey kook that one's still glowing
There was one door behind the others that glowed... it had a leaf drawn on it.
Val beamed "That's the one! C'mon let's lower it down!"
That they did as they used the lifting crane to put it down before them.
Tylor – So this is it!
They open the door only for it shine brightly at them.
Mike – Ouh my eye!
It continued for a few minutes on until finally, there was a red-haired child before them..
Val immediately hugged her tightly
"Anna, it's you... I sorry, I'm so sorry..."
Hearing Val's voice, Anna hugged back.
"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you Vallie..."
Val – No I shouldn't have let you in there at all... you must've been so scared...
Anna – I don't hate you... It's 's okay. I'm back now, I even made a friend there!
Val wiped away her tears and she wiped Anna's own tears too.
Tylor – I'm glad you're back too... We'll happily listen everything about that adventure...
Anna – Big T...
Anna does a fist bumps with him
"I'm glad you're here too"
He smiled down at her
Watching all of this, Mike just struggled.
Mike – Awww... you little flame...
Mike pats her head
Mike – Don't worry, we wouldn't have stopped searching even if it took a month or two.
He should know. He patiently collected pieces of Boo's door for quite a while.
Anna giggled "Hahah thanks Mr Wachowski"
Mike frowned, seriously?
Mike – whatever c'mon let's all go back to work...
Tylor – And while at it, tell us about that friend of yours...
Val took her up on her shoulders
Val – You heard him Anabelle.
Anna sat close to her head, patting her
Anna – Weeel, before I do... tell me, do you believe in the wishing star?~
Save Game and Quit!
Phew quite a chapter I wrote. To celebrate current thanksgiving, the upcoming film Wish, anniversaries of Frozen 2 and A Bug's Life.
Note : if you ask, why didnt Anna return to Arendelle? Well, you see the star and the tree worked together here. The star responded to Anna's wish but the magical power in that tree reflected the emotions of Anna, and her memories too. And she remembered Val and how she left her... She grew attached to Val, Tylor and so the two powers compromised and she simply got sent to Monstropolis from Earth... don't worry she'll return to Arendelle, just not yet. So it's a combination of logic from both Disney verse Pixar theory.
Sure it may get become non-canon but hey at least it works here.
