PLEASE READ:
So a lot of you have been reviewing that you're disappointed that I "forced canon to create unnecessary drama". First off, I appreciate you taking the time to give me your thoughts, even if several of you were kinda rude about it, however, there are several things I want to go over before I post the next chapter. First, this whole story, Blair's character, her relationship with Bella, ect came about from a scene I envisioned in New Moon after Jasper left. So, I'm not exactly going to deviate from the whole inspiration for the story in the first place.
Secondly, while I understand you don't feel that Blair and Jasper would believe Edward, I'd like to point out that Blair is still an 18 year old human, and Edward is a century year old vampire who can read minds. There are reasons I had him say what he did, and it was not just to be mean. He played to Blair's insecurities, and yes she does have them, from what he's gleaned from the others minds and conversations she's had with the others. And Jasper, despite everything, doesn't think is "brother" would actually do something like this. He does trust Edward to an extent.
Thirdly, I'm not sure how you think it won't be diverging from canon since Blair is completely different than Bella, nor is she as forgiving. Do you think Jasper will be forgiving of Edward? Peter and Charlotte? What exactly do you think is going to happen when they find out what he did to her, to their relationships with her? Eclipse and Breaking Dawn will not be remotely canon, and it all starts with Jasper leaving. Trying not to give too many spoilers, but Garrett's arrival, the other nomads, Renee and Charlie's fate, Victoria, Pail's imprint and return into Blair's life. It all stems from Jasper leaving, like a domino effect. So, I don't know what to tell you other than to trust the process and see that I've already proven I don't mind diverging from canon, or…don't read. Which I understand too. Thanks for listening to my rant. The next chapter is going to start moving away from canon in a certain scene, so I hope you'll take the time to read it when I update.
