"I hate Christmas…"
Mami had a stare on her face that was as cold as the atmosphere. The rich girl was standing in the doorway of her large fancy home. She was taking in all the couples that were walking by - with an intense look of resentment. There was no effort in her to put on the charade of being the bright, cheerful person she usually pretended to be. If ever there was a time of the year that brought out all the bitterness inside the young lady, it was none other than Christmas.
"It always brings out the couples, being so happy and lovey-dovey with one another," Mami murmured in a low dark voice. "As that dude who hated this time of the year as much as I do said: Bah humbug!"
The sight of so many couples looking so cheerful together made Mami highly infuriated. Not even the joy and excitement this time of the year brought to children could make her lighten up. The only thing the spoilt wealthy girl wanted for Christmas was for everyone else to be as miserable as she was.
"I hope Christmas goes horribly for everyone! For the children - and especially for the couples! I hope all the relationships out there break up! I hope everyone out there has a crappy Christmas!"
It was at that moment when Mami suddenly thought of a certain boy who she had dated for a month - and abruptly broken up with. Her hand clenched into fists at the thought of Kazuya. She was certain that his plans for Christmas was to spend it with Chizuru. To see he had moved on from her after she had broken his heart and was seemingly doing well with the new love of his life enraged his ex-girlfriend.
"Especially you, Kazuya! I hope your Christmas sucks!" Mami hissed as she banged the doorway hard with her fist. "I hope that pathetic rental girlfriend of yours ditches you! I hope you spend this Christmas all alone like the loser you are! I hope you fail to find true love! I hope-"
Mami's rant was cut off as she suddenly heard the sound something snapping from above her. She peered up before her eyes widened in horror to see what the banging of her fist had shaken loose. She quickly moved out of the way just as large sharp icicles which had fallen from the building rooftop landed in the snow, just missing her by an inch.
"Whoa!" Mami cried. "That was close! Another second and I would have been-"
Mami was silenced again as a huge avalanche of snow plunged down from the roof, plummeting down towards her to bury her up. It covered the young girl from head to feet, turning her into a snowman - and delivering her a nice dose of Christmas karma.
