Rising of the Masters of the Universe
ESKK: well here we are a brand new chapter 2. Let's get this show on the road.
(Start Akane)
Needless to say Akane was not having a good day. Sure it started off great and all waking up, messing with Naofumi's breaking bad brother, watching a few movies, talking to mom and dad from where they were in the world on skype, and meeting up with their friends at the library. Yeah it was all great and dandy... until they found that damn book.
When Naofumi had gotten to the blank page Akane thought it was weird. But when she saw how it was glowing Akane had seen enough anime to know where this was going for them. "Um I think we should drop this thing... fast." Akane began but it was too late. In turn the entire area around the group began to glow bright and from it the library began to grow to 20 times its side causing them all to go wide eyed to this.
"What the heck is this?!" Yumi asked shocked over what she was seeing.
"Whatever it is we need to stay together!" Ayato called out and thus they each got close and grabbed onto each other. In turn they all began to fall into a void as with a cry they all held on to each other to hopefully cushion each other's fall. Eventually the book vanished and thus the entire realm they were in began to change as they all began to free fall.
"Ayato! Akane! Don't let go!" Naofumi called out as he tried to save his cousins who he often saw as siblings to him.
"I'm slipping!" Akane cried out as she began to fall as well. The group tried to hang on as it seemed some powerful force was trying to pull them apart as Yumi, Hajime, and Daito held on to the group. But alas the inevitable happened and in turn Naofumi lost his grip of his cousins and their friends.
"NAOFUMI!" Ayato cried out and in turn they all vanished from Naofumi's sight much to Naofumi's shock. For the twins and their friend's the entire world began to go black for them as they felt themselves pulled to a new location.
(Scene Break Unknown Location)
Akane's eyes snapped open just before her body shot up in shock. "Guys!" She cried out only to find that she was alone now. "W-what?" Akane asked as she looked around and found herself in some sort of forest. "Where am I?" Akane asked as she began to stand up and looked around for any recognizable landmarks. But this was nowhere near Japan or any of the Military Bases her dad had been stationed at.
"Great I'm fricking lost in the middle of nowhere." Akane scowled as she sat down cross-legged while pouting a bit. 'Ok Akane thing for a second camping out is your strong suit, Hell you were the best at JROTS back in High School top of your class.' Akane mentally told herself as she thought her next move over. 'Dad taught you and Ayato survival skills time to put them to use.' Akane thought and thus stood back up. "First thing's first food, water, and shelter." Akane said as she looked around and used her fingers to frame the sun a bit. She then moved her frame cross the sky and thus knew what to do.
"Ok judging by the position of the sun its early afternoon so that means that I currently have, give or take 5 or 6 hours before nightfall." Akane summarized as she in turn began looking around for anything to kindle a fire. She also was searching for fresh water to drink from seeing as she was without any tools. "Heh if I survive can this I should join Naked and Afraid give my partner there an eye full while we survive out in the wilderness and using it so I can win." Akane added as she always did enjoy watching survival shows it was also why she enjoyed camping so much. But unaware to Akane she was no alone in these woods as she would like to think.
(Later that evening)
"Let there be fire!" Akane called out as she managed to get a fire burning as she sat close to it to keep warm. She managed to find some soft ground to use as a makeshift sleeping spot while she poked the fire with a stick to keep it burning. "Ok base camp is good, now I just need to figure out where the nearest town is and if they speak any languages I know." Akane said as she closed her eyes and crossed her arms to think a bit. With a small sigh Akane grabbed some of the thicker stronger branches she managed to acquire and began carving them with a Swiss Army Knife she had on her.
She will need some way to hunt and protect herself while out in the wilderness at least until she can get to civilization. But be it jungle or woods this far out there was only one rule survival of the fittest and Akane was the fittest of them all. As she worked she began to recount everything thus far a bit and wondered how she got dragged into this mess and who was the target of... whatever that flash was.
Soon enough Akane crafted herself a spear, a simple wooden spear, but a spear none the less as she said, "Done, now I have something to hunt or defend myself with."
Looking up she saw the skies were getting darker as she said, "It getting dark already, great. I can't go hunt like this, I'll just make do with the mushroom I found earlier thankfully."
Looking over to some white cap looking mushroom in a pile she made as she reach over for one as then she put one a stick near her and said, "They're maybe Button mushrooms, but totally edible… I think hope I don't see shit."
She soon held it over the fire and let it cook, as she did, she wonder where Ayato, Naofumi, and everyone else is at, and hopefully they were doing well themselves or something, she wonder if she will find anyone is the question, but for not she going to take things one step at a time.
(Later)
Akane was sleeping, tossing and turning a bit while she slept and she started to moan like she was dreaming something pretty scary.
(Dreamscape)
Akane find herself in some thick dark forest that she couldn't see pass the tree in front of her as she said, "Where am I? I don't remember coming here, and what is up with this forest, it feels like I'm walking in a giant circle…huh?"
She saw something ahead, a small clearing to say with something shining within the dark thick forest that surrounds her. "What is that?" Akane asked as she looked to the object before her. As she began to approach the light she heard ominous laughter surrounding her. Akane looked around in surprise by this as for some reason the shadow of the woods were... moving. Eventually she saw what looked like a woman and in turn a voice came from it.
"The power... THE POWER WILL BE MINE!" The woman roared before the shadows came at her causing Akane to yell and shield herself. But just before it got to her a glow emanated from her hands which began to banish the darkness. "W-what?" Akane asked as she saw the light began to change form.
"Akane... would you fight... for the Honor of Greyskull?" The voice asked and in turn the light flashed around blinding Akane from its sight.
(Waking World)
Akane woke up and to her shock found that people had entered her meager camp. Acting fast Akane grabbed her spear and held it at the ready in case they were hostile. "Hey whoever you are start talking!" Akane yelled as she saw the four before her. Two of them were men in what looked to be priest like robes while another a female was dressed in an outfit reminding Akane of a nun. Those three all had a rosary of some sort which Akane suspected was of religious origins if she had to garner a guess.
The fourth one a female looked ominous to Akane. She was dressed in crimson red robes as it seemed she was made of shadows judging by hoe her hair moved. She was also noted to wear a mask that only showed a faint image of her eyes underneath making Akane warry of these people.
"Hold we mean you no harm." The masked woman said as she raised her arms in peace. "We had noted your camp fire a bit away and had come to investigate." The woman said as Akane had her spear ready to fight just in case.
"Well you got your answer so leave." Akane said as she had her spear ready.
"Pardon us but your camp hardly seems sufficient on its own." The Nun said to which Akane had to concede she had a point there. "We have food and supplies we are willing to share if you allow us." She added as Akane noted the packs that they were carrying with them.
"And why should I trust you all?" Akane asked as she glared at the people with spear still raised.
"Miss do not mistaken us we are but humble servants of God we would not harm you without justified cause." The man said as he looked to Akane.
"God?" Akane asked as she suspected their term of the big guy was different from her term of him.
"Yes from the Church of the Three Heroes? Are you not aware of us?" The second man asked as Akane suspected there was more to this.
"No beyond the basics I'm not one for faith... had very little to go off of in my life as you can see." Akane said as she gestured to her camp to show she was not here of her own volition. "I got lost you see and need help getting back to civilization." Akane said as she looked and saw how the three lit up like she presented them a business opportunity in her. After all a faithless girl who has been beaten down by life on a semiregular basis who can possibly turn down such an opportunity?
"Then perhaps we can compromise we are mainly here seeking out a holy relic and you are in need of a path back as well as supplies so why not help each other out. We will share our supplies with you and help you home and you aid us in retrieving the relic and once all is said and done we will escort you back to town and part ways." The masked woman said as Akane looked to the woman.
"Ok... I'm Akane." Akane said as she lowered her guard a bit.
"Shadow Weaver." The masked woman now known as Shadow Weaver introduced as she looked to Akane calmly.
(Later)
The people church of the 3 weapon were setting up their camping gear, shadow weaver had join Akane near the fire as she had prepared a proper meal for her to fill her stomach with Akane rubs her belly and said, "Well that was better than the mushroom I had."
"I'm surprise you are willingly to eat such things that grows in the wild," Shadow weaver said to her as Akane said to her, "Well in a survival situation, the biggest thing of gathering food is to know what is poisonous and what's edible and not the first time I had to do something like this."
In JROTC during the camping parts she accidently gotten separated from the group when she slide down a steep hill and got lost on trying to find a trail back to them and had to spent the night in the woods alone, lucky she had tools and a survival notebook she had and learn from to know what to do if lost in the woods.
"Quite," shadow weaver said as she observe Akane closely for some reason more than normal than the people of the three weapon church, but then again they were busy with other things at the moment not noticing they two were talking, with shadow weaver just sees something she alone could see as Akane take notice of this and said, "What, is there a bug in my hair, or something?"
"No child, it's that I am sensing strong magic within you," shadow weaver said as Akane is surprise that the mask wearing woman would say that, even saying magic in the same line, as she would have called her crazy… but then again a book somehow transported her brother, cousin, friends, and herself somewhere separated, so there was something magical about it as she went with it as she said, "Y-yea, a lot of people say that for some reason, I'm just born lucky is all."
"I highly doubt it was natural," Shadow weaver said as that got Akane curious a bit as she look to the mask woman and ask, "What make you say that?"
"Take this for an example, I am Arch-mage rank magic user, and there are rare cases of people being born with strong magic at birth, but to compare it would be like saying they were advance mages rank, a step up from beginners, but to you, it like trying to compare you to a I what I dare say to a sorcerer and sorceress rank who are known for their near god-like magic casting to cast a high level spell without any chant or ruins and within a snap of their fingers or a thought alone, which take years of discipline and magical training to achieve such levels, with arch-mage rank are below sorcerer rank," Shadow weaver said as Akane was surprise by this info as if what shadow weaver said is true, then she would be very powerful indeed… but she has no idea how she could even use it or even want to try by the sounding of it she knows if she had magic with no control, she's more likely being a human bomb than a magic user as Akane said, "Yea… funny how life works I guess too bad I don't know the first thing on how to use magic let alone control it."
"You'll be surprise of how much magic a person can control as even those born with high level of magic, it will grow with them in life while they also would train to increase their use of magic without casting a spell first, much like I have done, as to tell you the truth I was ambitious of being the strongest mage until I found out there are also limits," shadow weaver said as she touch her mask as if she was remembering a moment that had happen in her life no doubt the mask is use to cover scars she may have as Akane could guess, as she asked the masked woman, "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you saying then, Shadow Weaver?"
"What I am trying to say is… I can teach you how to use your magic, how to control it, show you how far you can go with it and make something of yourself," Shadow weaver offers as Akane felt a bit off put by this as how shadow weaver is saying to her, it seem like she want to use her or something as she said to her to throw her off a bit, "Maybe, I'll think about it, but don't expect an answer right away as I'm looking for my family who are probably as lost as I am and want to find them soon as I can."
"Very well, but if you change your mind, or have any question you wish to ask me of when we're apart" Shadow weaver said as she took something out of her pocket and held it out to her as she shows some sort of pendant of a jade emblem with two bat like wings on it, as shadow weaver said, "Put this around your neck and speak with your mind."
Akane takes it as she looks at it for a bit, a bit weird for her taste but she can't say no to a free gift that might have some benefits and said, "Alright, thank I guess."
Place it in her pocket as soon enough the people of the three weapons church had finish setting up the rest of the camp and join the two near the fire as the priest soon ask, "How is everything my dear child?"
"Um fine just about ready to head to sleep actually." Akane said as she looked to the Priest as the way he spoke reminded her of those door-to-door Jehovah's Witness people.
"Ah that is good if I may offer would you care to join us in the scriptures?" He asked and thus Akane realized she was screwed here.
"Um sorry sir but I have a tight schedule on sleep and if I break it then it gets ruined, but perhaps another time." Akane said as she was trying to bullshit her way out of it. That and she might be able to SPEAK Isekai but Akane didn't want to give these people any indications she was not from around here and her being unable to READ Isekai might be a dead ringer.
"Ah no problem God will undoubtedly continue to bless your life." The Priest said and thus Akane nodded and went to her cot so she can sleep.
'Why do I get the feeling it's going to be one of those situations for me?' Akane wondered before she allowed herself to drift off to the sweet embrace of dreams. But as Akane slept she could not help but worry over what she would be facing in the coming days since by the look of things she was no longer in Kansas anymore, excuse the quote of the Wizard of Oz. Heh thank goodness she's not reading some of those dumb dresses because then she'd have to either be Alice or Dorothy both of which she wanted no part of. Nothing against them they were just well products of a different time. Thus, as Akane closed her eyes she began to wonder just where exactly did, she land herself in this new reality.
Unaware to Akane Shadow Weaver had been keeping a close eye on Akane. She did not lie when she told the girl that she had taken a vested interest in her because Shadow Weaver felt there was more to Akane then meets the eye. Regardless she would bide her time and wait for a more opportune moment to move. Until then she will keep a close eye on her latest of investments. After all, finding those with such unique traits in magic was always something that leads to new discoveries after a few sacrifices were made here and there.
(Scene Break the next Morning)
Akane woke up with a start as she saw it was early morning for them. Good at least she didn't suffer from some sort of dimensional jet lag. Well, either that or the portal magic that brought her here landed her exactly where her normal day to day clock synched up with. Regardless, Akane was the first awake as she did a few stretches to get the kinks out of her stiff body. Hearing her bones crack back into place Akane knew she was ready for the day and thus knew where to start.
"Ah good your awake." Shadow Weaver said as she approached the girl.
"Guess I'm not the only early bird huh?" Akane asked as she looked to Shadow Weaver.
"It would appear so." Shadow Weaver chuckled as she looked to Akane. "Any who I will go awaken the others so if you would be a dear and scout about so we may be able to move sooner rather than later." Shadow Weaver said and thus Akane nodded to the masked woman.
"Sure." Akane responded with a nod and thus went off to go scout like asked. After all, it was better that they don't get a surprise guest during breakfast since food can attract unwanted attention from the local wildlife. Thus, grabbing one of the swords from the supplies Akane went to do her scouting of the area so they can eat unimpeded.
(Later with Akane)
Akane was walking around with a sword strapped on her back. It was not much but preferable then the wooden spear she had been using prior. As Akane walked a bit she soon heard movement in the bushes which caused her to grow concern. Reaching for the sword she expected an attack of some sort to come at her as she looked for the source.
It wasn't long until a snarl was heard and from it Akane dodged an attack from... a Monster Rabbit? "Ok a monster Rabbit that is weird and hoping it does NOT have rabies." Akane said as she looked at the monster. Just then it roared out and attacked her forcing Akane to draw her sword and out of instinct slashed it in two taking it out with ease. Of course, the blood that shot out from the creature was not something Akane had enjoyed not one bit. "Oh gross." Akane said as she wiped the blood that got on her off.
Just then more showed up ranging from porcupines, rabbits, raccoons, and... Wait were those balloon monsters? "Ok I've arrived in Snow White gone feral." Akane said and then was met with the mental image of an amazon/feral Snow White and her army of woodland followers. The monsters all came at Akane and began to attack her forcing the girl to fight them off no doubt they smelled the food at camp and wanted a bite of it and the people there. So, as she took care of them Akane had to be quick on her feet and adaptive to her surroundings.
The Porcupine Monster roared and sent out its spines at Akane forcing her to run and dodge to avoid the attack. This of course put her in the path of the other ones causing Akane to roar out and swing her sword taking the monsters out with it. Once they were taken care of Akane smirked as she smiled at her victory over these foes.
Eventually the monsters began to fall back once they realized nothing was to be gained by continuing to attack her. This in turn gave Akane a chance to catch her breath and breathe a sigh of relief. "Ok if this was a video game, then I'm in the tutorial level." Akane said as she sheathed the sword while rolling her shoulder a bit to get the stress out from them.
"Young Akane!" Shadow Weaver was heard as Akane looked and saw Shadow Weaver and the church people coming to her much to the girl's surprise.
"Oh, Shadow Weaver and you... people." Akane said as she realized she had NO IDEA what the rest of their names were.
"We heard the commotion young one, are you well?" One of the Priests asked as he looked to Akane with concern.
"Yeah, I'll live I was just attacked by monsters." Akane said and then hissed a bit when she saw a spine from the Porcupine monster inside her arm.
"You're hurt." Shadow Weaver said as Akane looked to the spine in question.
"Just a scratch." Akane said as she then yanked it out causing her to yelp in pain from it. Of course the wound began to bleed opting Shadow Weaver to nod to the Nun. Walking forward she held her hands over the wound and began her chant. "As source of thine power I ordain thee. Decipher the Laws of Nature and Heal my target fast heal." The Nun invoked and thus Akane saw her wound was being healed by the nun until not even a scar was left behind.
"Huh." Akane said as she flexed the arm a bit impressed at how it healed. "Thank you." Akane said with a nod to the Nun.
"Tis, nothing just a simple servant of God doing her duty." The nun said as Akane could understand but was still grateful for the healing.
"Well then we best keep moving we do have a job to do." Shadow Weaver began before turning her attention over to Akane. "But first here take this." Shadow Weaver said as she then gave some dry meat to Akane. "You had missed breakfast young one its best to keep your strength up." Shadow Weaver said and thus Akane nodded grateful for the small snack from Shadow Weaver.
"Thank you." Akane said before she began to eat the dry meat.
"You are most welcome." Shadow Weaver said and in turn the group continued on with their, path.
(Scene Break Later that day)
Several Hours were then spent continuing their search for this mystical weapon. The whole time this happened Akane was taking the time to practice with her borrowed sword against improve dummies and attacking monsters. So far it all seemed to be a casual time as Akane continued to help them with their search. Shadow Weaver had the map and book that detailed the path in locating this Holy Sword while the People from the Church of the Three Heroes were clearly trying to convert Akane. They had probably detected her supposed strong magical signature which made Akane suspicious of them.
Eventually the group came to take a break as Akane was eating some dried meat. Akane noted that it tasted like Jerky minus the spices that it normally rests in which she can dig for the time being. Regardless Akane noticed that the folks she was helping seemed a bit annoyed with their search.
"We have been searching for days now and still no closer to finding it." One of the Priests said as Akane overheard them.
"Are you sure it's in this forest?" The other Priest asked clearly annoyed with their lack of progress.
"I am certain of it clearly we are missing something, or perhaps the sword itself is hiding itself from us." Shadow Weaver said as she tried to locate where she mistranslated or went wrong in the book and map.
"We might need to consider returning back empty handed." The Nun spoke as she was willing to accept their failure in locating this weapon.
"No, the Pope said he needs it found so we must find it, as God wills it." The Leading Priest said as Akane sighed clearly not getting what was going on here. Clearly these people were trying to find this sword but were coming short on trying to locate it. Her only concern was getting home but for some reason the way they spoke made Akane concern and had her thinking them getting this Holy Sword was a bad idea.
Just then a glow shined from inside the woods as it caught Akane's attention. "Huh?" Akane asked as she looked to the glow and thus saw it was almost calling out to her. Looking back to the people who were helping her Akane began to make her way into the woods to where the glow came from.
"We best keep moving come along... Akane?" Shadow Weaver asked as she saw Akane walking into the woods almost like she was being guided by something. They all saw this and in turn with a wave of her hand Shadow Weaver lead the Church people to follow after Akane to see what drew the teenage girls, attention.
(With Akane)
Akane began to walk out of a mass of bushes where she in turn came face to face with an odd sight. Before Akane she saw the source of the glow was in fact a Sword stabbed into the ground with roots and vines wrapped around the blade. "Huh." Akane said as she saw the weapon as it was as if it was calling out to her.
But as Akane began to make her approach the ground began to glow with a runic crest which made Akane go wide eye in shock to it. A bright glow came from the ground which blinded Akane forcing her to shield her eyes from it. During this Shadow Weaver ran in with the Priests and Nun and saw what was going on.
Just then the ground broke apart and from below a large monster insect in origin roared out and glared at the group before it. "Oh shit!" Akane cried out once the light died down and she saw her reflection in the creature's glowing eyes. Roaring out the monster went on the attack forcing Akane to dodge it as it went after her. IT then went for Shadow Weaver and her group opting her to form a barrier with her magic to force it back. Once that was done Shadow Weaver fired a beam of magic at the foe forcing it back a bit but not doing any major damage to it.
"What is this thing?" Akane asked as she saw the creature all but standing between them and the Sword they were seeking.
"It's a guardian it's protecting the sword from the unworthy!" Shadow Weaver called out as this meant they had to beat it to get the sword from it.
"Great just our luck." Akane cursed as she saw the creature before them.
The monster then roared and went on the attack again to which the group was forced to scatter from it. The battle began as Shadow Weaver fired off dark colored magical beams against the monster while the Church members provided aid with what seemed to be magical fireballs. The monster was hit by the attacks but by the looks of things it did not do much to deter it from its attack. Roaring out it attacked the group as Shadow Weaver was its first target. Shadow Weaver in turn opted to block the attack with a barrier keeping the monster at bay. Akane of course went to attack as she roared out and slashed her sword against the monster but its hard shell proved to be a problem. That problem was made clear as Akane's borrowed sword snapped in two opting Akane to look at the broken blade.
The Monster then directed its attention on the shocked girl as she saw this. "Uh-oh." Akane yelped a bit before running away as the Monster attacked her. Charging at her Akane ran until she took a hard turn to keep away from the monster. The Monster did the same as its pincer like legs used the trees to keep its balance as it chased after Akane.
"Run Akane run!" Shadow Weaver called out as she waited for an opening to show itself so she can get Akane out of there. As Akane kept running Shadow Weaver saw the girl can only go so far and thus knew she had to step in and get the girl to safety. "Cover me." Shadow Weaver ordered and thus the priests and nun got to work. Magic fire went off against the creature as Shadow Weaver moved like a literal shadow to get to Akane. Akane ended up falling over a risen root and thus Shadow Weaver created a barrier before Akane could be hit. Once that was done Shadow Weaver fired off a spell at the creature hitting its face and thus forcing it to back away from Akane. "MOVE!" Shadow Weaver ordered and thus Akane quickly got out of the creature's way.
Firing spell after spell Akane saw Shadow Weaver keeping the creature at bay as her spell craft seems to be stronger all of a sudden. "Dammit I need a weapon or something." Akane said and thus her eyes darted over to the glowing sword. "Huh that will do." Akane said and thus she ran over to the sword hoping it really was calling to her and not some other girl lost in the woods. Once Akane got to the sword she grabbed the hilt of the blade which in turn caused the weapon to release a powerful glow from it which blinded Akane.
(Location Unknown)
Akane eyes snapped open as she looked around and found herself in some strange place. "Huh?" Akane asked as she looked around this crystal-like realm in confusion.
"Akane." A new voice spoke and thus Akane looked and saw what appeared to be a being of Light standing before her. The light soon turned into a woman that looked like a nun of some sort but much more radiant than the one with Shadow Weaver. "Hello Akane." The woman spoke and thus Akane fell back with a yelp when she saw her.
"Wow who are, you?!" Akane asked shocked to see the woman before her.
"My name is Bright Hope and I have been waiting a long time for the Heroin of Greyskull to arrive." Bright Hope said as she looked to Akane. "I had been attempting to contact you ever since you arrived. But the connection was unstable, and I could not do so until you came and forged your connection to the Sword of Protection." Bright Hope explained as she looked to Akane who stood there in shock when the image of the sword appeared before her. "This sword is one of the keys that can access the Power of Greyskull so Akane... this world needs your help so I ask you will you fight for the Honor of Greyskull." Bright Hope asked but before Akane could give this woman an answer the entire world began to turn bright again which blinded Akane once more.
(Real World)
Akane eyes snapped open as she pulled the sword out much to the shock of many. The action alone had drawn the attention of the monster towards Akane began to regain herself. Roaring out the monster charged at Akane much to Shadow Weaver's shock and concern. "Akane look out!" Shadow Weaver called and thus Akane looked and then acted fast by moving out of the creature's way.
"Ok I don't know what exactly is going on... but I won't let you push me around anymore!" Akane yelled as she pointed her newly acquired sword at the monster in challenge. The Monster got ready to charge and in turn Akane held her new sword at the ready. Raising it up Akane remembered the words Bright Hope had told her and with it knew exactly what to do. "FOR THE HONOR OF GREYSKULL!" Akane roared out and in turn the skies twirled and thus sent down a strike of lightning upon the sword.
The gem on the blades hilt glowed brightly as Akane felt a huge amount of power enter and course through her body. First her muscle mass and height began to grow with the power. The Sword had even grown in size to matchup to Akane's new body mass, but the transformation did not end there. Akane's clothing had even taken a change as when a ring of fire formed around her feet it began to change her outfit. The American/Japanese Girls feet was covered in pure white armored grieves with a gold highlight to them and wings on them. Moving upward Akane's legs and torso area was covered in armor that hugged against her chest in just the right way that it was both comfortable and useful. It went and formed a tunic like skirt that had armored mixed in for added protection as the armor left her shoulders bare but not for long. Coming next Akane threw the sword upward and punched her fists together forming gold gauntlets that left her finger bare before grabbing her sword once more. Next came a cape as it fluttered a bit while adding gold pieces of shoulder armor to the outfit Akane was gaining. Finally, to bring it all together Akane's ponytail came undone and even allowed her hair to grow into a long mane of hair before it was all brought together by a tiara with a similar gem as the sword.
When the transformation came to an end Akane stood there stronger and shining with a light from the Power of Greyskull. The power had forced the monster back as it saw that a new warrior had taken the stage before it. "Who..." A nun asked as she was awed by what she saw. Even Shadow Weaver was at a loss for words as she knew she made the right choice with her vested intrigued in Akane. "Who are you?" the nun asked as Akane smirked to this.
"I am She-Ra!" Akane or She-Ra announced as she stood ready to do battle against the monster before her. With a roar the monster charged at She-Ra as the Princess of Power saw this. Acting fast She-Ra moved to the side and slashed at the monster's side leaving a deep gash on it causing the beast a great amount of pain. The monster roared out as its blood spilled from the wound the Sword made after piercing its hide. Clearly angry the monster charged again but as She-Ra stood up she didn't even look but instead used her free hand to stop the Monster's attack in its tracks. This caused a small shockwave as She-Ra was pushed a few inches but managed to stand her ground.
Smirking She-Ran lifted the monster up by its horn and forced it back before she jumped up and stabbed it in the chest. The Monster roared out in agony as it spasm around while She-Ra dug her blade deeper into the foe. Eventually the monster's eyes stopped glowing as it fell limp clearly dead and defeated. When She-Ra was sure the battle was one she jumped down and swiped her sword to the side flicking the blood off the blade with ease.
"Bravo Akane bravo." Shadow Weaver praised as she approached Akane clearly impressed with what she had done. "Or should I call you She-Ra Princess of Power now." Shadow Weaver added as she could feel the raw power that was radiating off from, She-Ra.
She-Ra meanwhile was looking, herself over shocked over her sudden transformation. "Wow this is incredible." She-Ra said as she looked to herself and the power this sword... no, the power that HER sword had given her. "Well, a deal is a deal right." She-Ra said as she looked to the group since she had helped them retrieve the weapon and thus, they would get her to the nearest town.
"Yes, about that, She-Ra we have another proposition for you." the leading Priest said as She-Ra was left confused by his words. "The Holy Sword of Protection the Divine Mother of all Holy Weapons." The Priest said as She-Ra noticed that the Nun and the other Priest were all but praising She-Ra like some sort of divine being. "And you the one who'd wield the weapon and its power the Holy Mother, the Valkyrie sent down by God himself the one who named herself She-Ra the Princess of Power." The Priest said as She-Ra had a bad feeling about this. "We had waited for your arrival for untold ages." He said acting as if She-Ra was the Messiah or for her Jesus Christ.
"Ok I'm here so what do you need of me?" She-Ra asked as she was still smart enough to know there was more and this guy was trying to butter her up.
"Why to slay the Devil of the Shield and lead Gods Holy Children on the Crusade to end the heretics who would follow the Shield and its teachings." The Priest said as She-Ra narrowed her eyes to this.
"And those Followers who worship the 'Devil of the Shield,' who are they?" She-Ra asked and thus the Priest went on.
"Why the Demihumans of Siltvelt, and the Queen who has been spout heretical views of equality with the Shield's beasts the Demihumans." The Priest said as She-Ra knew there was more to this than meets the eye.
"And what makes the Shield to the Devil?" She-Ra asked as she figured there was more here.
"Why the Demi-Humans worship him because he treated them as people instead of animals or monsters." He said unaware that he was doing himself no favors.
"And what makes the Demi-Humans less the human?" She-Ra asked as she tightened her grip on her sword.
"They are inhuman not only do they have attributes of animals but their form changes as they gain strength." He said and thus She-Ra knew bigotry when she saw it clear as day.
"I see... so your church only pushes for human superiority." She-Ra said as her tone was even and almost cold. "And beyond just being a, decent human being you didn't give me a reason why the Shield is seen as the Devil." She-Ra went on as Shadow Weaver knew where this was leading up to and moved out of the way to avoid, She-Ra. "Thanks for your kind offer." She-Ra began before she stepped back. "But no thanks I won't work with people who use God as an excuse to perform inhumane acts." She-Ra said as she then pointed her sword at the Church trio. "So, I'll give you three the opportunity to walk away while you still can." She-Ra making it clear she won't attack unless they provoke her into battle.
The Priests and Nun were of course wide eyed over what they were told by She-Ra and in turn the Nun tried her hand. "Milady perhaps you're not thinking straight you just gained your power after all and you're no doubt a bit disoriented from it." The Nun said as she looked to, She-Ra trying to reason with her woman to woman. "Take a moment and be reasonable you were sent by God with a mission help us spread his word as you were meant to." The Nun said as she looked to, She-Ra hoping to convince her.
"Just think your name shall be etched into eternal glory be seen as a Champion of the People as the Divine Maiden you truly are." The Second Priest said trying to convince She-Ra like his cohorts.
"My answer remains the same now go." She-Ra repeated as it was clear something had to give in this situation. But She-Ra felt it, this was not going to end peacefully for her or the three followers of the Church.
The Priest leading them soon grew quiet which She-Ra knew was NEVER a good sign. "It seems that we have been deceived." the Priest said and thus Akane saw him and his cohorts with magic ready to use.
"It seems we much burn a witch who disguises herself as the Holy Maiden." The nun said as She-Ra was about to attack them. But just then out of nowhere dark blasts of magic came out and hit the three knocking them all out.
"Well, that was a way to deescalate." Shadow Weaver said as she came back out of her hiding spot. She-Ra was on edge still as she looked to Shadow Weaver ready to attack. "Now She-Ra I know how this looks but let me explain myself." Shadow Weaver said as she then went to explaining herself. "Those three and the Church were simply a means to an end see I'm a seeker of knowledge not a Zealot like them." Shadow Weaver explained as she looked to, She-Ra while explaining herself. "Of, course in the past I have been impeded in my quest to learn more of magic and acquire Knowledge by fools who were afraid of pushing the limits." Shadow Weaver said as she looked to the side a bit. "But you I knew you had potential and that sword brought it out of you so needless to say I am very invested in you now, She-Ra." Shadow Weaver said as she then offered, She-Ra her hand. "I'm sure that together we enough time can learn the full extent of your powers." Shadow Weaver offered as she looked too She-Ra.
"And then what?" She-Ra asked as she didn't exactly trust Shadow Weaver right now.
"Then we seek more knowledge if you constantly push the boundaries, you'll find that an entire ocean of knowledge and the secrets to magic itself are laid bare." Shadow Weaver said but She-Ra begged to differ.
"So that why you wear that mask because you pushed the boundaries?" She-Ra asked as she looked to Shadow Weaver who then grazed her hand over her mask.
"Regrettably sacrifices must be made sometimes in order for progress to be made." Shadow Weaver said moving her mask a bit to show a brief glimpse of the scars it hides beneath.
"But maybe those boundaries were put there for a reason." She-Ra said as she knew whatever did that to Shadow Weaver was not something she wanted. "I don't seek knowledge unless I need it you seek it just to have it for yourself." She-Ra said as she looked to Shadow Weaver.
"Well Knowledge is power after all." Shadow Weaver said but saw where this was going. "Well it's clear that nothing will come of this." Shadow Weaver said as she moved to the knocked, out Church trio. "I will take these three back with me as far as they know someone had taken the sword long before we got here." Shadow Weaver said as she prepared to go. "If you continue going down that way you'll find one of our horses with a bag full of supplies ready to go." Shadow Weaver said and thus She-Ra looked. "Go to it, don't it your choice in the end." Shadow Weaver said as she was ready to leave. "But my point here is that I am looking forward to watching your career progress, She-Ra." Shadow Weaver said and thus began to vanish.
"Wait!" She-Ra called out but alas it was too late Shadow Weaver was gone and with her the three Church people vanished as well. "Dammit." She-Ra cursed before looking at her sword. "Well only one thing to do now, let the Power Return." She-Ra said and thus in a flash of light She-Ra reverted to Akane. Once Akane was back she proceeded to follow the path Shadow Weaver had left for her while allowing her sword to turn into a bracelet on her main arm.
(Scene Break Later outside the Forest)
Akane eventually arrived outside the forest and much to her surprise a horse with a bag of supplies was waiting for her. Seeing as she was alone Akane proceeded to unhook the horse. Once that was done Akane put her head to its head while rubbing it a bit. "Ok then let's go." Akane said as she then hoped onto the horse. Once she did she guided it away from the forest and proceeded to take out a map. Once she did so she saw the nearest town was on it.
"Ok I need to find the others, so starting at one of the larger cities will be my best bet." Akane said as she guided her newly acquired white Horse down the road. "Well next stop Melromarc." Akane said as she guided the Horse to Melromarc with the hope of reuniting with her friends and family there assuming they had arrived in this world with her. Nut unaware to Akane dark forces were on the rise from deep within the shadows.
(Scene Break Snake Mountain)
In the throne room of Skeletor a portal of shadows opened and from it Shadow Weaver stepped out of it. "Sorry I'm late I had to ditch a few members of the Three Heroes Church." Shadow Weaver said as she found Kronus now with a metal brace on his jaw. "Love the new jaw there Kronus." Shadow Weaver said and thus a new voice was heard.
"Where have you been?" Skeletor asked as his face was hidden by his hood.
"As I said the Church of the Three Heroes tend to get in the way a lot." Shadow Weaver calmly explained to her leader. "You should know right, Keldor?" Shadow Weaver said only for Skeletor's grip on his throne to tighten.
"Actually." He began and leaned forward to reveal his face. "It's Skeletor now!" Skeletor reintroduced as Shadow Weaver saw this.
"Well, I'm sure there is a story there, care to share?" Shadow Weaver offered and thus Skeletor laughed a bit. "Very well Shadow Weaver." Skeletor said and thus he began to regal how he went from Keldor to becoming Skeletor.
