Rising of the Masters of the Universe
ESKK: Well, here you guys go the new chapter of this story. I hope you all enjoy it.
Naofumi and his party was currently helping Naofumi out as he currently had spikes from a porcupine inside him. "Serves you right for not paying attention." Akane said as nearby in the tall grass Raphtalia and Catra's tails were seen.
"Ok I get it I'm sorry!" Naofumi defended as Akane yanked out another spike while Hajime healed him.
"As you should be!" Akane scolded and thus pulled the final spike out giving Hajime all the room needed to heal the wounds.
"Wait! Come back here!" Raphtalia cried out from the tall grass as she chased after the monster who did this.
"Yeah, sure talk to the monster maybe it will move its spikey ass for tea!" Catra snapped as she chased after the monster.
It's been a week since the battle in the mines where Naofumi had begun is path to recovery. To start he and Hajime have been meeting weekly to basically just talk. In other word's Naofumi gets whatever he needs to off his chest and Hajime just listens while offering him her two cents every now and again. So far, they were making progress as for Naofumi it was a good way to handle his problems which was to just rant about them. Naofumi joked that Hajime should open a clinic she'd make a fortune helping those with similar traumas.
Anyway, Ayato and Akane told Naofumi what has happened and needless to say Naofumi knew to be wary of the church thanks to Akane. Plus, what he found out about Keldor and the fact his sister is in charge did not leave a good image in his mouth. Daito had joked it may give them someone to go to if the King gets out of line. Catra agreed since she heard that the King was terrified of his wife when she was angered. It was a plan but one they would explore later if the need should arrive. But if the Royal Family by blood birthed those like the bitch and Keldor Naofumi didn't have high regards for the Queen.
"Hey bozos focus!" Catra was heard and thus the group looked to see the monster coming at them. Acting fast Naofumi quickly got to work on dealing with this monster. "Shield Prison!" Naofumi invoked and in turn trapped the monster inside the Shield Prison. Once that was done Raphtalia jumped in with her sword raised high ready to take down this foe. She sliced the monster in two causing its blood to spill as it was clear she didn't fear blood anymore or at least not as much as she used to.
Once it was done Ayato sighed and looked at the blood stain on their outfits. "Well guess it's time to upgrade our equipment." Ayato said more to himself then anything.
"Yeap." Daito agreed as he saw they were all do for an upgrade.
"Guys!" Raphtalia called as Ayato and Daito looked and saw that Raphtalia was becoming quiet the beauty thanks to the leveling she had done. "I did it!" She called out while smiling and holding the dead monster in her hands as Catra crossed her arms and had a cocky smirk on her face.
(Scene Break Snake Mountain)
"Now we have everything we need." Skeletor said as he came in ready to begin their next phase while carrying a snake themed hammer. "If you want a taste of power... give me your weapons." Skeletor said as he had his hand out and thus Evelyn and R'Qazz passed to Skeletor their weapons.
Once this was done Kronis stepped forward. "You forgot mine Lord Skeletor." Kronis said as he took out his hammer only for Skeletor to grace his finger on Kronis jaw brace.
"Oh, I'm chewing on something else for you." Skeletor said as he then grabbed Kronis' jaw brace. Evelyn and R'Qazz then cringed when they heard the snapping sound and with it the scream of Kronis as Skeletor tore off Kronis' jaw brace. Adding it to the pile with thunder booming outside Skeletor tossed the jaw brace with the others and thus got to work. "Oh, dear sister if ONLY you can see what I'm doing right now." Skeletor said as he began to slam his hammer onto the forge as the dark energy melded with the ore and in turn spread to that which he would infuse the power into. "I who had kept giving and giving for our country and kept giving and in the end, I was denied my rightful place!" Skeletor said remembering the scars of war he bore. "I sacrificed everything, and you swoop in and stole it all from me!" He yelled slamming the hammer and continued the forge.
"But with the next Wave and all waves after the world will come to fear and respect the name of Skeletor." Skeletor continued as he slammed the hammer onto his task at hand with the full intentions of sharing his Havoc with his minions unaware of Shadow Weaver watching the event play out. Evelyn was suspicious as to why Shadow Weaver would reject the power of Havoc so easily. It made her suspicious of her but so far, she had proven to be an excellent double agent for them. But the Witch still could not shake the feeling something was amiss with her. As Keldor continued his work Evelyn mind was on not only her plans but also her suspicion of Shadow Weaver.

"Wow I hardly recognized you," Erhard said as he looked at Raphtalia as she grown into a woman she is now as he went on saying, "You turn into a pretty little lady."
"I've haven't seen you in a while, what have you been up too?" Erhard asked with Raphtalia said to him, "I finally learn correct table manners from the Inn keeper. I wanted to eat my food properly like master Naofumi and his friends and relatives does."
"Is that so huh? You've really grown up. You're nothing like the pipsqueak you used to be." Erhard said, earning a giggle from Hajime and causing Raphtalia's cheeks to puff up and blush in embarrassment while Naofumi continued looking at her in confusion.
"You think?" Naofumi asked as he looked to Naofumi in confusion.
"What are you talking about Naofumi?" Ayato asked as he looked to Naofumi in confusion. "I mean look at her she'd be in high school if she was in our world." Ayato added gesturing to Raphtalia.
Of course, Naofumi looked to him in confusion and then back at Raphtalia with that same look. "Still a touch a go." Hajime said as she knew Naofumi was still going through some shit here.
"I guess there still a lot of work to be done," Akane said as she knew it would take time for Naofumi to recover to whatever happen to him as Ayato said, "Anyways then we're here to get better gear now, as well as Naofumi."
"That's right, we're here to get master Naofumi some armor," Raphtalia said as Naofumi looks at her and said, "What are you talking about we're here for your equipment."
Raphtalia gotten up to Naofumi's face as she said to him with a passion, "I appreciate the thought master Naofumi, but its time you protected yourself for once!"
Naofumi was confused on that as Yumi said, "In case you forgot, you're the one getting hurt the most out of the entire group due to taking the hits from monsters and enemies."
"Not to mention all the hits you took from helmet girl," Catra said as she did enjoy those moments as she sees the shield hero defending against a monster only to get by Yumi when Naofumi accidently gotten in her way a lot of time as Daito said, "Yeah still working on that."
"Hey, it's not my fault he gets in front of a monster like a moron," Yumi said as Hajime said to her, "You should at least control where you are aiming or avoid him."
"I remember those very well, but we're here to get…" Naofumi started to say until Raphtalia pointed a finger at his face as she said to him, "Master Naofumi stop messing around with your life."
At that moment Raphtalia picks up a sword from a nearby table and drew it from its sheath as she held up the blade with her finger, as he started to get worried as Raphtalia went on saying, "OR you will die."
"Well… she is getting bolder," Akane said as Ayato said to his sister, "No kidding, I guess her body isn't the only thing that matured when leveling."
Raphtalia looks at the sword she has in her hands more closely as she soon said, "Boss this sword seem really sharp."
"Yep, that's magic iron, you feel like trying it out?" Erhard said as Raphtalia asked, "What kind of discount can you give us?"
"Oh, don't worry about that miss, anything for you, and the others," Erhard said as Raphtalia said, "Thank you so much."
"Anyways, now that I think about it, I got something for you as well miss cat," Erhard said as Catra look to the guy as she pulled out some unexpected for her as to her surprise to see Erhard pull out a chain whip out for her.
Putting it on the table Erhard let Catra go wide eyed to it while walking over. She began to pick it up with the chain and mace like part in her left hand and the handle in her right admiring its craftsmanship. "So, what do you think?" Erhard asked to which Catra had summarized it to one world.
"Beautiful." Catra sighed while looking at the newly acquired whip.
"Trust me it was not that easy to make don't know why just had this sudden rush of inspiration and had some spare material, so I thought why not." Erhard explained as Catra gripped the weapons handle in her right hand and spread the chain between her hands. Once she did, she let the length free and smiled at her new acquisition. "It's made from Magic Iron just like that sword so should be hard to break had to be careful since it needed to be light as well." Erhard said sounded like he was bragging about his craftsmanship.
"How much?" Catra asked as she wanted it bad.
"Oh, don't worry about it you can keep it if you can let me know how it works for you." Erhard said and thus Catra smirked and would have cracked the weapon if it wasn't for the fact they were indoors.
"The most we can pay is about 300 Silvers between all of us." Raphtalia said as she looked to Erhard wondering what he had to offer.
"Well in that case." Erhard began as he gestured over to the large suit of armor in display. "How about something like this." Erhard offered and thus the group all had one thought on this.
"It's not really my style actually." Naofumi said as he saw the armor.
"Nope too heavy and bulky for day-to-day use." Ayato said as he did not want it.
"Pass." Daito said showing he did not want it either.
"It will take away all of Master Naofumi's individuality." Raphtalia said and thus Erhard chuckled seeing they weren't takers of that armor.
"No problem then I whip up something that's made to order." Erhard said getting everyone's attention as Daito gained a huge smile with those words.
"Made to Order seriously?!" Daito asked with a huge grin on his face.
"If you guys don't mind me using whatever materials I've got on hand I can finish by tomorrow." Erhard said and thus Raphtalia jumped in grabbing his hands.
"Please, please do!" She cried out as she clearly wanted the best for Naofumi.
(Later at the Pub)
The party of 8 later arrived at the pub as Raphtalia was holding her brand new sword in hand while Catra was admiring her new chain whip. "Wasn't it nice to give us a discount on this sword?" Raphtalia asked as they got to the table in the back. "He was so sweet to help us like that, don't you think?" Raphtalia asked as she walked with the group.
"No kidding." Catra said as she could not wait to try out the new whip.
"I'm not convinced." Naofumi said as Akane sighed to this.
"Naofumi..." Akane began but Naofumi then cut her off.
"But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt." Naofumi added and thus Akane nodded in approval as there was progress being made for Naofumi.
Just then stomachs began to growl and in turn Ayato sighed a bit. "Seriously where is that waiter?" Ayato asked as they needed food or else Yumi would start complaining.
The waiter came around as he came up to the large party as he asked, "Are you ready to order?"
"We'll take the cheapest lunch set you got for the table." Ayato said as Raphtalia nodded to this.
"Hey, don't you think it's a bit too big for her?" Naofumi asked and thus Ayato sighed to the group.
"Naofumi just roll with it for a bit, like we figured earlier your trauma is messing with your perception of the world so we're acting as your eyes for the things you are unable to see." Ayato said as he was calm about it but inside, he wanted to hunt down the bastards who did this to Naofumi.
(The next day)
Coming back to Erhard shop, as Naofumi got his special-order armor while the group had gotten new gear for themselves. "Doesn't this make me look like a typical villain?" Naofumi asked as he looked himself over.
"So cool." Raphtalia gushed as Catra rolled her eyes to the sight of this. "It's really perfect you look amazing." Raphtalia said as Naofumi was currently looking himself over.
"I call it barbarian armor you rock kid you look like a real bandit." Erhard as the group heard this.
"Yeah, that doesn't sound like a good thing." Daito said as he was a bit skeptical on that.
"He's right I'm supposed to be a hero you know." Naofumi argued as he clearly wanted to look like a hero somehow.
"It's dashing." Raphtalia said as she smiled at how Naofumi looked.
"Well, you did make it for me it be a shame not to wear it." Naofumi said until Ayato spoke up next.
"By the way you have any shields on sell?" Ayato asked as he looked to Erhard.
"Huh what for?" Naofumi asked as he looked to Ayato.
"For you of course." Ayato said and thus Naofumi was confused by this.
"But I already have the shields from the monster farter." Naofumi said and thus Akane raised a brow.
"So, you're a shield hero... and you can't copy other shields to add to yours..." Akane said and thus Naofumi was about to argue until Daito spoke up.
"Dude have you even tried?" Daito asked and thus Naofumi's words were stopped. Going wide eyed at the implications Naofumi face palmed himself realizing he didn't even try to copy the shields before or after that bitch tricked him.
"Wait your joking you never even tried!?" Yumi asked shocked as they thought it was the most basic thing here.
With a sigh Ayato took out his wallet. "Erhard how much will it take for Naofumi to copy your shields?" Ayato asked and thus Erhard was wide eyed by this.
Not even waiting for an answer Naofumi went back into the shop to start his attempt. Once inside Naofumi quickly picked up one of the shields. Almost immediately, his Legendary Shield copied the other shield's appearance and unlocked a new Bonus Skill.

"It worked!" Naofumi gasped when he saw this.
"'It worked' my ass!" Erhard yelled clearly not liking what Naofumi did just now. "Why did you have to go and suggest this?" Erhard asked as he glared at the party who all shrugged as Catra just enjoyed the show.
"T-That was so cool!" Raphtalia chimed as she saw what had happened.
"No, it's not! It's a crime!" Erhard argued as Ayato was pulling out his coin pouch knowing how this will end up going.
"Relax, old man. I got money, so I'll pay up. Just as soon as I find two more shields. That's about as much as I can afford." Naofumi said as Ayato was coining his Silver to see how much this was going to cost them all.
"Hey!" Erhard couldn't do anything about his shields practically being stolen from him right in front of him.
(Later back outside)
Naofumi was smiling as he walked out with three newly copied shields to his name. He had copied The Siderite Shield, the Moonlight Shield, and the Shadodite Shield and thus now had a bit more shields to fight. Finding out feeding monster parts was just one of two ways to unlock new shields for him to use he was clearly happy about having an edge now.
"Well at least it could have been worse." Akane said as the entire party were in agreement seeing as they all felt their wallets drop a few pounds after Naofumi's little shopping spree. But before they could go any further suddenly there was a sound of a horse calling out, with everyone turning to see knights, guards, and some adventures preparing for the wave as it drew near with Raphtalia said, "It clear it see everyone in town is on edge now."
"Sure the wave is nearly here," Naofumi said as it is clear to see that everyone is preparing for the wave as some people were gathering up their best gear and equipment, some people were boarding up their shops and houses, and the knights were no doubt gathering for it too as Naofumi said, "If only I knew when and where the damn thing is going to begin, I can come up with some kind of plan."
"WE all could, in case you forgot, we're here to help you out cous," Ayato said as Akane adding in her two cent as she said, "That's right, you have us, our friends, and our adorable furry fighters too."
"I am not adorable," Catra said while sounding annoyed by that as Daito said, "I'm sure I can come up with a few gadgets to help out."
"Who needs gadgets when you have lots of power right here," Yumi said as she pounded her fist into her chest a bit as Hajime soon said, "And I have learned plenty of magic spells from some books we had gotten from that old castle."
The sorceress of Castle Grayskull had given Hajime some books on magic to learn from, basic spell of attack and defend, not to mention some new elemental spells she wanted to try out as Naofumi said, "That good and all but we still need to know where the wave will be at."
"I can't believe it, I mean no one told anyone of you guys about the clock?" Erhard said as that catch everyone's attention as the masters all said at once, "The Clock?"
"You know that church you can see from town square? There's a huge hourglass inside," Erhard said as to the group as they listen closely as he went on saying, "When the last grain of sand falls, the heroes and their party will be sent to where the wave will begin, at least that's what I hear."
"Well, it's better than nothing," Hajime said as Ayato said, "Then let's head to the church and see this hourglass ourselves."
(Later at the church)
The entire party came to the church with a nun leading them as they try to enjoy the sites of the church itself, and it no doubt there were similarities and different between the church of that world and the churches back in their world with Catra said, "Why are we even bothering coming here anyways? Why not just wait until it happens?"
"Because this way we'll know when the wave would start and we could prepare better than wait around for it to happen and be unprepared," Akane said as Ayato said, "Yea but in a way, it felt like we're also getting prepared for test at the last minute as well."
"You're the one that does that, I other hand did study for the test and Aces them well, while you only get B's or C's," Akane said as Ayato said, "Is it too much to say I had a lot on my mind at the time and I could barely study as is?"
"No," Almost everyone said at the same time, as soon enough they arrived at the hourglass room as the nun said, "Come this way."
Soon enough the group came forth into the room as a set of stairs lifted up to the center of the room where the hour glass was being kept, as to their surprise to see it, as to the look of it seems to be more than a simple hour glass as there were many more parts to it than anyone would thought as Naofumi said, "Whoa, is this the dragon hour glass the king was talking about?"
"I never thought to see something this complex before to count down something," Hajime said as she never saw anything like this back at Castle Grayskull as Yumi said, "Well we're in a magical world, something gotta be complex somewhere."
"She does have a point," Ayato said as at this moment with Daito was already drawing up sketches of it thinking of making his own hour glass to help countdown to future waves, with Naofumi walk up closer to it, suddenly his shield started to glow as everyone looked at it for a moment before flash a blinding light for a moment, then suddenly a beam of light shot out towards the hourglass itself as it soon connected with it and reviling Naofumi the count down to the wave as it will be happen within the next 20 hours as he thought, "Is this really counting down to the wave?"
Before anyone could say or do anything, a voice spoken up saying, "IS that Naofumi I see?"
Akane knew that voice right away as she remember that cocky tone of voice anywhere, as being the one who she meet at the first weapon shop she went to before kicking him in the balls when he call her a crazy bitch, she didn't turn around as she didn't want to look at the guy but with everyone else did as they look towards the Spear hero Motoyasu, and his party with Malty with him as Ayato thought, "So this is the one who screw Naofumi over."
"Hey what's this? You're not still fighting with that flimsy equipment, right?" Motoyasu said as Naofumi didn't say a word to him as Raphtalia came up and asked, "Do you know who these people are Master Naofumi?"
"I think it's better that we don't, let's get going Naofumi," Ayato said as Naofumi couldn't agree more as he soon walk away with some of the group following as Malty said to him, "Hey, sir Motoyasu was talking to you Naofumi."
"That doesn't mean he will answer him," Ayato said as suddenly Naofumi stop as he saw the other two heroes before him, as Ayato saw them as he could guess who they were Ren the sword hero, and Itsuki the bow hero.
The look on Naofumi face was enough to tell Ayato that his cousin was going through a painful moment, but before he could do anything he hear Motoyasu started to say to the girls, "Hey there I'm Motoyasu Kitamura, the Spear Hero. Nice to meet you lovely ladies."
"Oh boy," Yumi said as she hates the guy already as he suddenly came up to her, thinking she was a cute girl as he said to her, "So got a name, sweetheart?"
Yumi glared at him for that sweetheart commit, but she took a breath and put on a smile as she said, "I'm called many things."
"But you can call me." She began to say as she soon walked up to the spear hero. Yumi then suddenly reached her hand over his Groin area, as Motoyasu thought he was about to get lucky until she gripped it really hard with a twist as she said to him, "Sir!"
Motoyasu cry out in a high pitch from his family jewels abuse for a moment before Yumi said to him, in a low yet loud enough tone for him to hear her clearly as she said, "If you ever call me sweetheart again, I'll rip off Jr. here, capiche?"
Motoyasu nodded before Yumi squeezed his ground harder causing the Spear Hero to cry out more. "Y-yes." Motoyasu squealed only for Yumi to squeeze harder.
"Yes WHAT?" Yumi asked and thus Motoyasu got the memo.
"Yes Sir!" Motoyasu yelped and in turn Yumi let off of him as she walked pass him while looking at her hand while saying, "Now I need to wash my hand with boiling water."
AS the spear hero try to recover from that moment with Yumi, he turned his attention to Hajime seeing how attractive she is, he came up to her and said, "So… how about you miss? Got a name, and maybe a boyfriend?"
Ayato hand twitch a bit as he felt like reach for his sword for talking like that to Hajime but keep his cool and calm himself a bit while Hajime said to the spear hero, "I'm Hajime, and for the boyfriend part… not really."
"Really, then how about you join my party, and we get to know each other better?" Motoyasu said as Ayato was slowly reaching for his sword now until Akane stop him as she gran his hand and lower it as she said in a low tone, "Wait for it."
"As flattery as that is, I will have to say no," Hajime said taking Motoyasu by surprise as she started to walk by him as she said, "And besides, I have someone else in mind."
That took Ayato by surprise when she said that as he thought, 'Who does she mean?'
Akane look at her breath before rolling her eyes a bit at this as she thought, 'Can't believe he's this dense.'
Motoyasu soon recover from Hajime rejection before he turned his attention towards Raphtalia and Catra as they were standing next to each other seeing them as a sexy beast-girls as he walked up to them and said, "And what's your names?"
"Ah, Raphtalia," Raphtalia said to him as Catra gave him a bit of a glare as she said to him, "Catra."
"So cute!" Motoyasu, he said while looking at them, like he was having some sort of weird fetish thing going on with animals girls with Akane seem to be ignored, either the guy remember and wanted to avoid her, or he never taken his eyes off of the others when he first saw them, as suddenly Myne came up to her hero as she said, "Sir Motoyasu, why are you complimenting these filthy Demi-humans."
Akane looked at the redhead bitch as there was a thought in her head as it went, 'Bitch is asking for a shanking.' but that thought stop when Motoyasu said to them, "Girls as Adorable as you two shouldn't be wielding weapons. I'll protect you both."
"Excuse me," Catra said in an upset tone as the spear Hero suddenly found a knife pointed at his groin which made him freeze in place with everyone were surprise by this as Catra said to the guy, "I don't remember talking to you, let along asking to protect me, and sense no one told me not you hurt you, I got free range on you to cut the very thing that make you a man."
"Catra, put away the knife, he's not worth it," Akane said as Catra sighed and did so as she was order to as it was no choice but to do so or else, with the spear hero heard her, suddenly turn as to his surprise as he saw her, he said, "I-it's you!"
Before Akane could say anything else the Demi Human girl pulled away from Motoyasu, as she said to him, "I'm sorry. I've sworn to fight with Sir Naofumi!"
"W-with Naofumi?" Motoyasu said as he went on saying while Naofumi was walking up to him with Ayato stop him suddenly as he walked up there himself instead, "You can't. If you stay with him, you'll be in danger-"
It was at this moment Ayato chose to cut in against Motoyasu. "Okay Mr. Spear hero I'm going to stop you right there," Ayato suddenly said gaining the Motoyasu attention as the spear guy said, "And who are you?"
"Ayato, Adventurer, and the twin brother to the sister you tried to hit on a couple weeks ago before she kick you in the nuts when you called her a bitch," Ayato said as, with Motoyasu started to sweat a bit as he could feel Ayato aura of anger coming off of him, and Naofumi is surprise to hear what the spear hero call Ayato's sister his cousins a bitch before Ayato went on saying, "First you dare flirt with my sister, then your flirted with our friend here, and this guys' friend even insulting them when you basically called them helpless."
Ayato wasn't done as he continued with his scolding bit. "But judging by her sword and how strong she looks she far from it, and our friend Catra is terrifying in combat when she fights." Ayato said as he was clearly not in the mood to deal with Motoyasu's crap right now. With a calming breath Ayato then went on to continue his talk with Motoyasu. "Look Motoyasu was it? I don't know what your beef is with our cousin, but word of advice dropped it." Ayato said which made the red-haired spoiled harpy and Motoyasu go wide eyed to this.
"COUSIN!?" They both yelled as Ayato nodded to this.
"Yeah, our mom is the sister to his mom." Akane quipped as she then gave a sinister grin to Malty with a look that promised the redhaired bitch endless pain. "We've known him since we were in grade school and not once has, he ever done anything to me before or after puberty." Akane said and thus began to make her way to Malty. "Now I'm going to ask you something why did you lie about what happened to you?" Akane asked as she glared at Malty straight in the face.
"I did no such thing." Malty snapped only to go wide eyed when Akane slapped her in the face knocking her down.
"Myne!" Motoyasu gasped when he saw this.
"Did you just slap me?" Malty asked shocked over being slapped like that.
"Yeah, something you dad should have made a habit of doing when your mom told him the stuff you've done." Akane said as Malty was wide eyed to this. "Why I slapped you that was for lying." Akane said as Malty then got back up and glared at Akane.
"WHY YOU IMPUDENT LITTLE!?" Malty began only to get another slap to the face which knocked her down.
"That was for backtalking me." Akane said as she looked down on Malty as Catra snickered to this. "Where I'm from that's called parental discipline something your parents should have done more of to, curve your pathological lies." Akane went on as Malty glared at the Princess of Power.
"Why you." Malty began and thus Akane raised her hand again causing Malty to flinch back to avoid another slap to the face.
"That's what I thought." Akane said and lowered her hand and thus began to make her way back over to Motoyasu. "Also... you owe Naofumi money for the armor Malty gave you that night." Akane said as she got the information off of Erhard earlier.
"I don't owe him anything!" Motoyasu snapped and thus Akane smirked to him.
"But you already paid him back." Akane said and thus left it up in the air. "Have a nice day." Akane said and in turn the group took their leave of the room and the heroes.
At least until Motoyasu saw Akane and Catra stop. "By the way, Spear boy." Catra began as she licked her knife while Akane was putting a bit more notice on her feet.
"Till next time." Akane said as both held promise of pain for the Spear Hero should he instigate them.
(Later in Town)
"Did you really have to do that?" Daito asked as the group left the Church.
"Hey, she was asking for it." Akane said as she then cracked her neck a bit. "Besides I wanted to do worse." Akane said as Naofumi had to ask.
"Which reminds me what did you mean when you said Motoyasu already paid me back." Naofumi asked and thus Akane nodded to Catra.
"I swiped this from him and left a bag of rocks in its place." Catra said as she took out Motoyasu's wallet much to Naofumi's shock. "Should be enough to pay you back for the purchases and lost money Malty caused you." Catra said as she tossed it over to Naofumi.
"Wait when did you?" Naofumi asked but then went wide eyed as he thought about it... she must have swiped it when Motoyasu was flirting with her and later when she had him at knife point. "Cleaver girl." Naofumi said as Catra grinned no doubt she just enjoyed making Motoyasu squirm.
"Well come on we should head to the Inn we're going to need our rest." Ayato jumped in and thus they were all in agreement on this.
(Scene Break the Inn)
Naofumi and Akani were blending potions and medicine for the Wave. Daito was crafting toms extra fear for them as on the bed Catra was curled up like a cat sleeping. Akane was currently getting some salves and potions made for what may be the last time. Tomorrow every adventurer in town would be facing the Wave of Catastrophe and she wanted to be ready. They got the gear, and they got the skills so now they just had to put it all to use. As she worked on the potion she smiled as she admired her latest concoction.
"Naofumi." Akane spoke which got her cousin's attention. "Why didn't you try to defend yourself?" Akane asked as she looked to Naofumi with concern for him.
"Huh?" Naofumi asked as he looked to Akane.
"At that moment back at the Hourglass you could have argued and defended yourself that you didn't do it. Why didn't you?" Akane asked as she looked worried for Naofumi both unaware that Raphtalia was still awake while she and Catra shared a bed.
"Even if I did, they wouldn't believe me." Naofumi said as Akane sighed to this and finished up her blending.
"Just because they won't believe you doesn't mean you need to just roll over and take it." Akane said as she then spun around to look to Naofumi. "Honestly if I didn't lose my grip when we were being summoned, I could have." Akane said and thus Naofumi saw what Akane felt at that moment.
"You couldn't have known if anything that bitch would have tried to get rid of you first chance she got." Naofumi said as he didn't want his friend and family to feel like they were responsible for this. "Look I know you feel like I should have fought back against those accusations, but I tried in that damn trial, and no one believed me." Naofumi said as he looked to Akane.
"Because they view you as the Devil." Akane said as Naofumi looked to her. "This, countries religion views you as the Devil so they let their prejudice get in the way of logic." Akane said and thus leaned on her chair and looked up to the ceiling. "I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to sabotage you every chance they get." Akane went on as she looked solemn to this.
"If that's true, why should I try to fight?" Naofumi asked as he wondered where that logic was.
"Even if it's a losing battle... it sure as hell beats just letting them walk all over you. If you go down at least you went down swinging." Akane said sitting up and looking to her cousin. "Anyway, Naofumi just be sure to remember after the wave we need to sit down and have another session." Akane said as they have been doing what they could to act as therapy sessions for Naofumi and even with all his progress he still wasn't 100% mentally. But even with their sessions Naofumi may never truly be 100% ever again but sure as hell didn't stop those who cared for him from trying to help.
