Awkward Morning to Loving Afternoon

Futayo is moaning in her sleep for a moment until she opens her eyes to see that it's morning with the sun starting to raise from the horizon, and her eyes widen of shock upon seeing Oscar is sleeping so close to her body and something is resurfacing into her mind.

The night of her suddenly kissing Oscar right on the lips.

"Oh no, what have I done?" Futayo squealed softly and quietly so that she doesn't wake him up as she does not want to deal with this right now.

Futayo slowly moves herself away from Oscar and let him sleep in some more and make her way out of the room though decided not to wear her combat clothes, but that strategy didn't last very long.

"Futayo?" Oscar moaned as he slowly starts to wake up.

"Oh, Oscar! Good morning, I was just going for a…" Futayo tried to think of an explanation, but it doesn't help that she is above with her face very close to Oscar's.

Oscar fully opens his eyes to see his guard very close to him and his face becomes very red with the memory of him and Futayo kissing together on the lips, and quickly pull the cover back over his face.

"O-Okay, I'll just be outside!" Futayo quickly moved out from the room.

"My, my, it looks like I'm not the only one feeling like an early bird." Kimi giggled, walking up to Futayo.

"Kimi Aoi, I see you're awake too." Futayo surprised.

"Please, you can just simply call me Kimi. No need for all of that formality and such, otherwise you'll make me feel like an old lady." Kimi stated.

"But it is only proper manners to" Futayo's sentence was cut off when Kimi pinched her cheek hard and hurtful.

"I said just call me Kimi, no need for the full name. Got it? Got it?" Kimi glanced with a sexy and scary look that is making Futayo very nervous of this young woman.

"Y-Yes, I will do j-just that, Kimi." Futayo nodded.

"That's better." Kimi smiled and let's go of the cheek.

"So, were you going to do some early morning training before the others wake up?" Kimi asked.

"Not quite, I've just been thinking about something since last night and now I need a little peace for the moment." Futayo explained without revealing what happened last night.

"I see, a lot has happened for us with the big revealing of secrets from our dead and to fight against some immortal woman trying to destroy the world. Even I'm nervous despite still having my sexy smile." Kimi revealed with a wink.

"Uh, yes… It's something like that." Futayp sweatdropped, not sure if Kimi is being honest right now or not.

Futayo and Kimi make their way downstairs and outside of the house to get some peace and quiet for the morning, then they stumble upon Yang who is also up early in the morning and fully equip with her combat clothing too.

"Oh, hey there, guys." Yang greeted.

"It would seem the Sun Dragon is looking cheerful today." Kimi commented.

"You think so? I just came up to see how's Ruby is sleeping, but she's not in her room and figured she must be outside to enjoy the sunrise." Yang explained.

"Then let us join the rose." Kimi declared as they walk outside.

They spotted Ruby sitting on the ground relaxing and smiling with the sight of the sunrise giving her that warm and fuzzy feeling inside, like all the stress and worries has been washed away from her soul as she hopes this moment would last forever.

"(I wonder if mom ever felt this way too?)" Ruby thought of her late mother.

"You're up early." Yang giggled being above her little sister.

Ruby opens her eyes and look up seeing Yang, Futayo and Kimi looking down at her each with their own friendly expression though Futayo is more blank than the others, but Ruby doesn't mind because she can tell that this girl means well.

"Morning, girls." Ruby greeted with a smile.

Yang decided to be a little playfully by letting her hair down to her little sister's nose and tickle the nose causing Ruby to laugh and starting to feel like they have become little kids playing together like they used to while Kimi and Futayo are watching this letting the sisters have their moments.

"What are you three doing up?" Ruby asked.

"Let just say we all couldn't go back to sleep right now." Kimi answered.

"Me neither." Ruby chuckled.

"I'm out here to get some thoughts out of my mind for a bit." Futayo explained her reason.

"Did you get a nightmare?" Ruby asked.

"No, of course not! I am the bravest of warriors, I do not get nightmares." Futayo proclaimed and look away.

"Though I think we could use a little something for this special moment." Kimi said.

"Well, fortunately, coffee exists." Weiss entered the scene carrying a tray with five cups of coffee.

Yang, Kimi, and Futayo grab their own cups and though Ruby didn't want one because her tongue isn't fancy on the taste of coffee being too bitter taste and weird for her.

"Don't worry, I put in blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar, just for you." Weiss informed, Ruby sigh in relief to hear that and took the cup.

The five girls look onward at the scenery watching the sunrise shining its light over the horizon and onto the city.

"Can't believe we're actually in Mistral." Yang said.

"That's what you can't believe?" Ruby asked surprise.

"Well, yeah! And all the other magic and stuff. But... Okay, you know what I mean!" Yang tried to explain this but couldn't find the right words.

"I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever see you two again." Weiss smiled.

"Well, here's to defying expectations." Yang raised her cup, and they clap their cups together.

"Being Mistral here sort of feels like home to me for some reason, perhaps it's because my family used to live in this kingdom for some time." Kimi mentioned.

"That's right, Musashi wasn't a kingdom at first as it was an emergency safe place in case one of the kingdoms get overwhelmed and it's been floating around Remnant for seventy years, ten years after the war, until Musashi decided to become a new kingdom two years ago and it had been officially." Weiss recalled that history.

"But wait, didn't it take some people a really long time to make that floating city?" Ruby asked.

"Legend says the city was made within the short amount of time using a powerful item and the strength of one man who gave up his life to make that city of fantasy into reality." Futayo mentioned.

"Hmm, the more I think about that part of history the more I think it could be related to one of those powerful relics your drunken uncle told us about." Kimi recalled.

"That could be the case, but we'll have to ask Ozpin about it." Ruby said.

"Perhaps you should hold off on the questions for now. Remember, Ozpin has died and been reborn for countless centuries which also includes a lot of bad memories that he doesn't want to think because of the pain he experienced and doesn't want anyone to go through that as well." Futayo pointed out.

"I guess living for a long time can have the biggest downside." Ruby commented.

"Especially with having to see others die then he dies too only to just come back being alive as a completely different with still some traits of yourself… Okay, now I'm really confusing myself right now." Yang groaned, feeling a slight headache.

"How about we just forget about all that dark stuff for a while and just go back to enjoying the moment." Kimi suggested.

"I just wish Blake could be here with us." Ruby mentioned Blake's name.

Yang suddenly looks upset when she heard Blake and thinking about the day of how she just left her and the others when they were evacuated from Beacon, she didn't even say a single word to her like a goodbye and something else which really sadden and angers her heart from that day.

"Yeah, well, she made her choice." Yang said.

This surprises Ruby and Wiess while Kimi and Futayo just look at her with a plain yet also concerning for their blonde friend.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Weiss asked.

"I mean she could've been here if she just stuck around. It's no big deal though. We'll be fine." Yang proclaimed with bitterness on her face.

"Don't you want her here?" Ruby asked.

"Why would I want her here?" Yang asked back with her face looking a little more upset.

"Are you still mad at her for leaving?" Ruby asked worry.

"Oh, whatever gave you that idea, Ruby? No, I'm totally fine. I'm great." Yang proclaimed, wanting to drop this subject right now.

"No, no, no, you are very upset about this and being stupid to acknowledge this." Kimi stated.

"YOU SHUT UP?!" Yang shouted in rage with her eyes turning red.

This got Ruby and Weiss to feel a little scared from the blonde member's reaction from what Kimi just said and Futayo is calm with cautious being ready in case a fight was to break out, but Kimi reacted very differently.

Her reaction to Yang's sudden burst of anger is more forward as she reels her hand back as far as she can go then instantly unleash a slap so powerful, Yang is sent flying in the air and form inside a tornado from all the spinning.

"A tornado?!" Ruby screamed.

"How is she able to do that?!" Weiss gasped, confusing and scared at the same time.

"Still strong as ever, Kimi." Futayo commented.

Kimi jumps up toward the blonde fighter who is feeling very dizzy and feel like she is gonna puke at any moment right now, she grabs' Yang by the collar of her shirt and pulls her down back to the ground and let go for Yang to fall on her back.

"I hope that taught you a lesson." Kimi said with a smug.

"What… Lesson…?" Yang asked with her eyes still looking dizzy and blurry.

"To never give up on a friend no matter what." Kimi answered before walking away.

"I have to say, that was one harsh lesson to give." Futayo commented walking with Kimi.

"She needed a heart-to-heart reminder of to cherish those you have in your life including friends to never forget." Kimi believed.

"By the way, was there something else you wanted to get away from your bedroom?" Kimi asked.

"Not that I can think of." Futayo said.

"Really, are you sure it has nothing to do with Oscar?" Kimi asked in a teasing tone.

This causes Futayo's face to become fluster becoming almost as red as a tomato with the memory of them kissing has come back into her head again, and her heart is beating very fast.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Fuatyo lied as she got back into the house.

But unfortunately for her, the moment she walks back into the house, Oscar also happens to be up and about that bump onto Futayo's breasts with his head and that instantly moment causing them to blush like crazy.

"AH! G-G-Good morning, Futayo! I was just seeing what we can have for breakfast." Oscar said nervously.

"O-Oh, that's wonderfully handsome of-No, I mean thoughtful of you to do. Are you planning on making breakfast for all of us?" Futayo asked with her face still red.

"Well, huh, I haven't thought of that." Oscar gulped.

There is a moment awkward silence between them for twenty seconds until Oscar shaken turns around.

"Well, I think I'm gonna be at the training room for a bit." Oscar said and quickly walks away.

However, he rushes forward too fast with his foot stumble on the floor causing him to fall down the stairs and crashing at the training room.

"Oscar, are you okay?!" Futayo called out worry.

"Yeah, I'm totally fine…" Oscar groaned in pain and doing his best to hold up a thumb up.

"I have to say, your first realization of crushing on a girl is more than what I have seen throughout my time." Ozpin chuckled.

"Of course, you would know anything about that with the many girls you hung out with." Oscar groaned as he got himself sat up.

"I'm no playboy as you think I am. I have been with the women who were truly loved and strong spirited, some were kind and others were hard as well." Ozpin explained about his past lovers.

"Did that include Salem?" Oscar asked, then felt shocked of the question he just asked.

"Oh fuck, I'm so sorry! I don't know where that question even came from, and it just felt somehow familiar for some reason." Oscar apologized and confused.

Ozpin didn't respond for a moment making Oscar fear that he might've touched something from his personal life that he doesn't know yet since they're not merging much yet, but also felt bad for bringing up bad memory.

"It was no more." Ozpin said.

"Huh?" Oscar confused.

"Let just say what you said was something that happened a long time ago, but that was no more, and she is nothing but a monster that must be stop no matter what." Ozpin determined strongly.

"If you say so." Oscar said but getting a feeling that there is something more than what she is hearing.

"But first, I believe you should try getting closer with Futayo right now." Ozpin said.

"What? Getting closer to… Why are you saying that right now?" Oscar asked shock with his face turning red.

"It's quite clear that you two have grown quite well over the time since she came to your farm and proclaimed herself as your protector." Ozpin reminded him.

"That was an embarrassing moment, my aunt and I had no idea what was happening before we could even ask the girl her name." Oscar recalled that moment and remembered how he almost fainted too.

"Well, I believe it was destiny that you two are meant for each other even if I were to never perish in the Fall of Beacon." Ozpin stated.

"Okay, now you're just sounding crazy." Oscar embarrassed.

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, but the advice I can give you is going to five you and do not wait long because that it may already be too late if you wait for too long." Ozpin advised.

"You're really not going to let this down until I go for it, will you?" Oscar asked, only to hear a chuckle from Ozpin.

Oscar did some thinking about what Ozpin said with some thoughts about Futayo with the time she spent with him back at the family farm, packing and traveling to the Mistral Kingdom, and meeting with the others. That's when he started to feel his heart pounding the more, he thinks about Futayo, and the things Ozpin said about them being meant together like soulmates which is kind of weird.

"Damn it, can't believe I'm really doing this." Oscar said as he decided on what to do.

(Nighttime)

Futayo is walking at the backyard of the house where Oscar is standing there and staring at the broken moon for a moment before he turns around to see her.

"You called me out here?" Futayo asked.

"Yeah, there's something I wanted to talk to you about… That kiss you gave me last night." Oscar mentioned causing Futayo's blush.

"Oh, I see… You must have found it disgusting." Futayo feared.

"No, it's actually… More like I have was really liking that kiss and well, I guess it made me realize that I love you even more." Oscar confessed.

"Huh, you, you, you, you l-l-love me?!" Futayo stuttered gasp and blushing even harder.

"Yeah, so I thought maybe you and me… We should become a couple if you're okay with that." Oscar stated nervously with his face blushing.

"Us, a couple?" Futayo surprised as Oscar walks up her and take her hands into his.

Neither of them have said anything for the next moment or so until Oscar made the first move and kiss Futayo right on the lips, Futyao was shocked at first until she sinks into the kiss sharing this new moment together.

And one Ruby Rose have witness this with her own silver eyes with her cheeks blushing too.
