Haven Battle of Strength and Emotions
"I thought Pyrrha's death would have scared you, but it would seem this "friendship" nonsense has only strengthened your resolve a bit." Cinder clutched her fists.
"More than you know." Kimi smirked.
"Come, husband, let us show this bitch how strong we are together." Kimi said.
Jaune couldn't help himself but smile how courageous and awesome Kimi is right now like she was meant to be the center of attention, almost like a main character of an anime or story and he gets to share that with her.
"Let's do this!" Jaune smirked as he transformed his Crocea Mors into its two-handler.
"Prepare yourself!" Kimi said.
Kimi and Jaune charge at Cinder together at the exact same time and with great speed that almost caught Cinder off guard as she quickly forms two swords to block their combined attack, the collusion causes a small shockwave.
But to Cinder's surprise, the combined attack from the married couple was able to push her back almost crashing onto the statue and lost her balance for a second there. This surprises her dark comrades that she was pushed back like that.
"If you thought that was cool, we still got more to show you!" Kimi said.
"You won't destroy Haven for a repeat of what happened to Beacon, that's an Arc Promise." Jaune stated, pointing his sword at Cinder.
"Fools… You have no idea of what you're getting yourself into." Cinder growled.
"We do, we just want to mess up that already ugly face of yours." Jaune smirked.
"Oh, good smack talk, honey." Kimi impressed with that one.
Jaune and Kimi charges at Cinder again to begin the Battle of Haven, Ruby wants to go in and help them consider that the evil woman has the power of the Fall Maiden within her, but just as she leaps, a chain is wrapped around her and pulls her down to the ground.
"You're not getting near her." Emerald smirked.
Kimi clashes her sword against Cinder's two swords with a strong assault to force the dancing girl to move back, but Jaune came in to swing up both blades to the air for Kimi to kick her away.
Yang was about to go help her little sister, but Mercury steps in and grinning at the blonde young woman.
"Hey there, Blondie. I'm thinking you owe me an apology for my leg, don't ya think?" Mercury said sarcastically with a smirk.
Yang remembers that day at the Vytal Festival, how everything fell apart starting with framing her for injuring Mercury on the leg which was actually a trick to make everyone think she had gone crazy, no one believed her except for her team. And turns out that trick was to make people release some negative emotions to attract the Grimms closer to Vale.
Yang hated how things turned out since then, and now she is going to back some payback starting with Mercury.
"Take out the heiress. Don't bother wasting your power, she's not worth it." Raven ordered.
"Well, if you're going to retrain her like that… Futayo, go take out that woman! She might be the Spring Maiden we're looking for." Oscar ordered.
"As you wish." Futayo nodded, then quickly gave him a peak on the cheek.
"And do careful, for me and Ruby." Futayo smiled as Oscar blushes.
"Does she have to do that right at the start of the battle?" Oscar asked, feeling embarrassed.
"(Well, love can happen at any moment even in the mist of battle.)" Ozpin pointed out.
Futayo bend her knees and ready her spear as her ready starts to glow a fierce sapphire blue that is almost flame-like aura, she glares at Vernal who saw this and prepared herself to fight.
"You know, I was looking forward to beating that Schnee bitch to an inch of her life, but I suppose a little warmup wouldn't hurt." Vernal smirked.
"Then this will be a quick warm." Futayo said.
Before Vernal could get into her stance, Futayo blitzes right next to her on the right and swings her spear to slam the side onto her body and sends her flying about over several feet away.
"Damn it!" Raven cursed under her breath, but she quickly brings out her sword to block a strong strike from Qrow who is very angry.
"Running away was one thing, but this... you've crossed the line!" Qrow said with a fierce glare.
"Sorry, brother. Sometimes family disappoints you like that." Raven stated as she pushes back a little.
"We're not family anymore." Qrow declared, now seeing Raven as nothing but a selfish woman who believes getting things by force is the only way to survive, which is stupid.
"Were we ever?" Raven asked, believing their family ties were served was when Qrow abandoned the tribe.
"I thought so, but I guess I was wrong." Qrow said before pushing Raven back.
The Branwen siblings start clashing their swords and countering each other, Qrow duck to dodge a slash from Raven and threw an upper slash that she quickly blocks then kicks him away.
The scene changes to Nora and Ren as they got themselves ready for their own fight against the tall muscle man known as Hazel.
"I don't wish to fight either of you." Hazel stated, hating pointless fights like this when they should just surrender.
"Nor I you." Ren responded, sharing the same motion but doesn't back down.
"But we will if you're with her!" Nora glared at the tall man.
"And believe me, we will avenge those who have fallen in Beacon." Weiss glared as she steps in behind Hazel with her sword ready.
"Very well then." Hazel said as he cracks his neck and his knuckles.
"(So, I'm going to be facing the headmaster of Haven Academy and who is supposed to be your friend.)" Oscar thought walking up the stairs to Lionheart.
"(With everything that just happened and the theory about him being a betrayed is true, we have no choice.)" Ozpin said, dishearten of this event happening right now.
Oscar thought about this may not have been the first time that someone close to Ozpin has betrayed him in the past, but he can ask about that later and needs to focus on this fight if he wants to be of help to his friends.
Lionheart nervously watches the fight then notices a boy with orange gloves walks up to him.
"Young man, I don't know who you are or what you think you're doing, but for your sake, I suggest you leave. Now." Lionheart advised, not wanting to see someone so young get caught in this fight.
But Oscar didn't leave, he just kept walking up to Lionheart with a strong determination look on his face.
"I'm warning you!" Lionheart said as he pointed his wrist-mounted shield at the boy.
Oscar kept walking to the scared lion man as he reaches his hand to bring out The Long Memory weapon from behind on his waist.
"That's enough!" Lionhearted screamed a little.
Lionheart activate his weapon, the Stalwart, to conjure a flaming rock using the combination of fire and earth Dusts together and launch it toward Oscar to knock him away, but the boy stood his ground and protected himself with his Aura.
Lionheart is surprised to see that someone so young has a strong Aura to defend against his attack like that.
That's when Lionheart started to realize who exactly this boy is once Oscar draws out the cane and extend it to the full length.
"Ozpin!" Lionheart shocked.
"Not quite." Oscar said with a grin.
Oscar goes in to swing the cane attacking Lionheart who quickly defends against the assault though he couldn't react fast enough to Oscar's other attacks, he landed several hits on the old lion man and goes in for a rapid attack on the chest.
Lionheart tries his best to defend against this child, but he was knocked down from the balcony though still standing.
"This can't be... I knew you would be back, but... you made it here! You found Qrow! How?" Lionheart asked in fear.
"(Leo, what happened to you?)" Ozpin asked in Oscar's head.
Oscar goes in to attack with a thrust that Lionheart was able to block, but the farm boy moves the shield away and smacks him across the face.
Lionheart stumble back a few feet, he started to realize something.
"Wait. You can't have had this form for long. You're... not really Ozpin right now. Boy. Child. If I deliver you to Salem, she'll have to be pleased with me, and I can finally get out of all of this! I can finally be free!" Lionheart determined and ready himself for battle.
"What do I do now?" Oscar asked.
"(Fight.)" Ozpin answered dryly.
Seeing there is no other choice and fearing that Lionheart cannot be convince to which sides back to the good guys, Oscar will have to beat this old man into submission.
Lionheart prepare to fire another attack only for Oscar to charge in faster than he could react striking the headmaster of Haven in the head.
Back the battle below, Vernal goes in slashing away at Futayo who easily blocks every strike with the pole of her spear twirling around and parry them to the side for her to smack the bandit the woman and throwing in a few kicks.
"Your moves are to straightforward, sloppy, and savage on the side with no honor." Futayo scolded.
"Oh, like you would know better." Vernal chuckled.
Vernal unleash a yellow laser of her weapons to slice the woman's aura way though she was moving faster just like before, the bandit woman couldn't land a single hit on Futayo.
"You have sold yourself to the very woman who is planning to destroy all of Remnant!" Futayo stated.
Futayo started using her Blue Lightning speed Semblance again to strike around Vernal and even jiggle her around a bit, but Vernal was able to get herself out of the jiggling with a spinning slash and lands on the ground.
"It's survival to the fittest, bitch! There's no room for all that emotional weakness like love and caring shit!" Vernal stated.
"That may be true but having the strength of others and those strength in the heart is stronger than you think!" Futayo believed strongly.
Futayo blitzes around to attack Vernal from behind and slashes at her a few times then kick her into the air, she used her Slicing Dragonfly spear to launch herself after the bandit woman and the two clashes their weapons against each for a moment until Futayo starts to overwhelm her with speed.
"You're a fool!" Futayo slammed her spear onto Vernal to knock her down and crashes onto the ground.
Vernal was about to get back, but Futayo stop them with a strong stomp on the chest.
"That woman will just kill you too, do you really want that?" Futayo asked.
"Oh, shut up! It's not like we're completely in that Salem's plan. We have our own plan and we're gonna be the ones to survive on top of the food chain!" Vernal stated.
"If you truly believe that then your life will be nothing as your hearts will always be empty!" Futayo scolded.
"And I told you to shut up!" Vernal shouted as she shot lasers from her weapons to force Futayo off.
Ruby got back up and saw Emerald transform her weapon into guns now.
"Why are you doing this?! Salem's—"
"I don't care about Salem! But I owe Cinder everything. You want to fight her that bad? Be my guest." Emerald said before using her Hallucination Semblance to make several Cinders appeared in front of Ruby.
The scenes to Cinder throwing down a slash attack at Jaune who quickly grabs that arm for a strong judo throw to slam the evil woman's back on the floor.
"Nice try!" Cinder growled and raised one hand at Jaune to unleash a bursting to burn the Arc boy, but he was able to move back barely feeling the fire touching him.
Cinder circles her body and flips herself back up to conjure several glass daggers from the ground then sending them flying at Jaune.
"Shit!" Jaune gasped and block most of the daggers with his sword, but two of them hit his leg and shoulder.
That's when Kimi jumps in with a downward swing at Cinder who blocks them with her swords and the two started clashing their blades, Kimi is able to fend off against the two swords though Cinder is trying to mix things up with a jump to form a bow to fire three arrows.
Kimi parries off two and one stabs the ground on her right and that arrows exploded to push her away, Cinder goes in to her only for Jaune to intervene with a spin slash to knock her back a little and swings down to barely make her bend her knees a little.
Jaune goes in for a charging thrust attack at Cinder who ready herself with a cross slash to knock the sword down, but he uses the momentum to push himself forward some more and threw one headbutt against her face to make Cinder stumble back a few feet.
"Don't think you've gotten the best of me!" Cinder angered and smack Jaune with her hand and kick him away.
Cinder goes in to slash him fiercely, but Kimi got in the way to use her defense Semblance to protect her husband and reflect the attack right on Cinder causing her to gasp in pain.
"YOU BASTARDS?!" Cinder screamed and unleash a giant stream of fire at Jaune and Kimi that seems to have consumed them both.
However, a pair of hands grabs onto her hands separating them to stop the fire and revealing them to be Kimi Arc-Aoi herself giving off a smirk to the surprised evil Fall Maiden before receiving another headbutt to the face by her enemy.
"Kimi, are you okay?" Jaune asked.
"Yeah, I was able to make my Aura strong enough to withstand all that heat." Kimi answered.
"That was really reckless of you to do that. Pushing me out of the way to get the hit, what if something bad happened?" Jaune asked.
"But I'm still alive and kicking as ever!" Kimi smiled with a little twirl.
"Oh yes, now I remember…" Cinder smirked as she got herself back up.
"I read a little something that my mad scientist friend got when he made his secret visit to Vale, that two freshman students suddenly got married sometime after the Fall of Beacon. That was you two, wasn't it?" Cinder asked with an evil chuckle.
"So what? What does that have to do with now?" Jaune asked with an angry glare.
"It just made me think… Are you trying to forget about what happened in Beacon, trying to forget about Pyrrha like she's nothing to you?" Cinder asked evilly, trying to use a little mind game on those two since they appear to be close to Pyrrha as well.
"Don't you dare speak her name!" Jaune shouted in rage.
"Pyrrha means more to us than you know and as long as we're alive, then she'll always live inside of us!" Jaune stated with strength in his words.
"Is that right?" Cinder chuckled again.
"Then what will happen if one of you die?" Cinder asked sarcastically.
Ren and Nora are fighting against Hazel though he is overpowering them a little with his brute strength, but that has been matched by Weiss and her Summon power to have the knight fight against Hazel as Ren runs up to him with some slashes on the back, yet Hazel wasn't faze by this.
"Take this!" Nora shouted as she jumps and brings down the hammer right onto the big man's head, but he grabs the hammer even after it landed on his head and made him bend down.
"Good hit, I'll say that much." Hazel commented.
Cinder continues fighting against the married Arc-Aoi couple, but the evil woman is trying to fight off Jaune more since he's the weakest fighter of the two except he's showing some skills and strength to keep himself in the fight as Kimi jumps in with a slash that force Cinder back.
"You are getting a big spanking for all the bad things you have done!" Kimi stated.
"And you won't take any more people dear to us again either!" Jaune added.
"Is that right?" Cinder asked.
Cinder looks over to see Hazel just injected a lightning Dust in his arm to give himself a boost in strength to punch at the summoned Knight and slams him down hard, then he charges at Weiss who tries to get away, but he grabs her arm to slam her down hard enough to make her Aura depleted.
"Then you should…" Cinder released a big fire attack at the two and they dodge.
"Try protecting them!" Cinder conjured a scourging spear and threw it right for Weiss.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The Battle of Haven has begun with the heroes doing a little better like Futayo overwhelms Vernal with her speed and skills, better than Weiss did in the original. But now it looks like Cinder is gonna try and take out Weiss. Will the spear reach the Schnee girl, or will something happen to stop it? You'll have to wait and see in the next chapter.
