Hello all Storm here with a new story! But not a new story by itself, instead the time has finally arrived for the sequel/season 2 of "Chaotic's Resident Shinobi"! Here we'll be seeing new adventures, new Creatures, and new battles, and we'll be starting off with something big. So, without further ado.

'Everything still looks the same.' Thought Naruto as he ported into Prexxor Chasm, taking a deep breath and stretching out as he took in the sight of the Location after so many months.
Having not been able to really take it in during his match against Crellan, but was now glad that he could see Prexxor Chasm again with his own eyes.
"It's good to be back." Muttered Naruto, before looking at his Scanner to get a better idea of where he was in the Chasm.
Only to see two dots on the screen near where he was, making the Uzumaki look around before his eyes widened in recognition and realization. Now beginning to recognize which part of Prexxor Chasm he was in, with it being close to where Ursis and Ariak usually spent their time.
'Crellan must've given me this scan of the Location, knowing I'd find them here.' Naruto thought, smiling that he'd be able to see Ursis and Ariak much sooner than he thought, rather than needing to go find where they were.
Heading towards where the two Creatures were located, Naruto soon came to a stop when he was suddenly surrounded by a cloud of black smoke. Making the Uzumaki tense that Ursis and Ariak may've been in the middle of fighting another Creature, only to realize what was happening when he heard a familiar voice.
"Xenocentric Wrath!"
"Earth Style: Mud Wall!" Said Naruto, going through handsigns before slamming them on the ground, causing a stone wall to rise up in front of him, blocking the barrage of plasma arrows that were launched at him.
"Thunder Shout!" Said a high-pitched voice, before Naruto gritted his teeth and covered his ears when he was hit by a loud sonic wave.
Before Ursis jumped over the stone wall with a roar and slashed his claws across Naruto, only for the whiskered blonde to suddenly be replaced by a log. With Ariak flying down and landing on the ground as they looked around for where Naruto went.
"Wind Style: Flower Scattering Dance!"
Both Creatures immediately jumped out of the way when a large cyclone of wind and flower petals rushed towards them. Only for it to suddenly turn and rush towards Ursis, with the Tribeless Creature digging his claws into the ground to avoid being blown back from the Jutsu. While Ariak let out a yelp when he was soon wrapped in Ninja Wire and unable to move.
"You two didn't think I'd fall for obvious attacks like that, did you." Naruto stated as he jumped down from a tree and picked up Ariak, while Ursis smirked at the whiskered blonde.
"We just wanted to see if you hadn't gotten rusty, playing games in Chaotic." Said Ursis, having wanted to see if Naruto was still able to fight or if he'd gotten soft without any dangers to face.
"Yeah, especially with how long it's been since you were here." Ariak added, making Naruto laugh and smile lightly before freeing the squirrel-like Creature.
"It's really great to see the both of you, too. And actually, you'd be surprised at the challenges I've gone against." Said Naruto, getting Ursis and Ariak to look at him curiously.
"What kind of challenges?" Ursis asked, wondering what's happened since he left with Crellan.
"A lot, I got pulled into problems with the other tribes, but also making some friends along the way…" Naruto said before he began telling them about all the adventures he's been on since going to Chaotic.
Starting with meeting Tom, Kaz, Sarah, and Peyton, his first DromeMatch, the Scan Quests he went on, his overconfidence and subsequent losing streak and break from matches. Getting help from his friends to overcome his losses and become better. Telling them about his match against Klay and how he beat him, making Ursis and Ariak pleased at how he crushed such a player, the former being especially pleased to hear how often Naruto used him in his matches.
Telling them about helping to save Reggie when he was captured by the Mipedians, stopping the crooked players he found that were trying to destroy Hidden Locations, as well as helping expose Van Bloot's plot to take over the UnderWorld along with what he did to Maxxor. And about learning about Dranakis Threshold and Kirvak Mound, how they could act as portals to Ancient Perim, not seeing any harm in telling them about the Locations. Saving Sarah when she was taken captive by the Danians and fighting Odu-Bathax to save her, along with meeting the Danian Princess.
Naruto also told them everything about his CodeMaster Match against Crellan, with Ursis feeling a lot of pride that he's the Creature that won him the match. Even more so that Naruto had defeated Cromaxx, knowing how powerful and dangerous the savage Creature is.
Before telling them about the other friends he's made, with the two Creatures noticing how he seemed to talk the most about Sarah, Intress, Takinom, and Aivenna.
"I've also noticed that Nivenna's been wanting to talk with me more after my match against Crellan." Naruto said, having noticed how the UnderWorld Conqueror has wanted to talk with him more since his CodeMaster Match.
"It seems like thing haven't been as boring as we thought it'd be for you in Chaotic, then." Stated Ursis, with Ariak nodding in agreement, both of them amazed to hear everything the Uzumaki's been through since he left.
"Yeah, it also looks you've grown even stronger, too. Which will be good with all those females chasing after you." Ariak said with a smirk, making Naruto blush at the reminder of Sarah's, Intress's, Takinom's, and Aivenna's feelings for him.
"W-w-we-we're j-ju-ju-just fr-friends." Naruto said, still unsure what to think of having multiple girls interested in him like that.
"For now, anyway. Just be careful, it may not be long before this Nivenna also desires you as a mate, and who knows what other females you'll attract." Ursis said while smirking, only increasing Naruto's embarrassment that Nivenna and even more girls would become interested in him.
"Wh-wh-wha-whatever! W-w-w-we're f-fr-fr-friends, right now!" Retorted Naruto, not wanting to think about that right now, while Ursis and Ariak merely laughed at his embarrassment.
"There's also something else I wanted to tell you two about, involving the M'arrillians." Naruto said, turning serious, getting the two Creatures attention.
Before he pulled out his Scanner and showed them his M'arrillian scans, with Ursis and Ariak frowning as they looked at the Creatures.
"We've never seen any Creatures like those, before." Said Ariak, Ursis nodding in agreement.
"Agreed, there aren't many aquatic Creatures in Prexxor Chasm and the ones that are here are usually avoided, even by Cromaxx, with how they're nearly unbeatable in the water." Said Ursis, all the Creatures in Prexxor Chasm knowing it's not wise to intrude on aquatic Creatures territory, not unless you wanted to become their next meal.
"Well the M'arrillians are pretty much the same, they're basically unbeatable in the water along with being able to control the minds of other Creatures and people. I learned about them when me, Intress, and Takinom ended up teleported to their territory behind the Doors of the Deepmines, we were lucky to be able to escape. All the other tribes have already been told about the M'arrillians and are preparing for when they manage to escape, but they're also planning to open the doors themselves so they can start the war on their terms and not the M'arrillians. And while I don't know where Prexxor Chasm is in regards to the rest of Perim, I wanted both of you to know and be prepared in case any M'arrillians showed up here." Explained Naruto, wanting to make sure they were prepared in the event Prexxor Chasm was attacked by the M'arrillians.
While Ursis and Ariak were both concerned to hear about the M'arrillians and what they're capable of, before nodding in thanks to the whiskered blonde.
"Thank you for telling us about the M'arrillians, we'll be sure to prepare in the event they arrive here when they're released." Ursis said, with Ariak nodding in agreement.
"Agreed, we'll also try telling the other Creatures here too, at least those that'll be willing to listen." Said Ariak, aware that not many Creatures in Prexxor Chasm would care to even hear them out.
"Good, even if a lot of Creatures here are feral, none of them deserve to be turned into the M'arrillians' slaves." Naruto stated before he looked at the two curiously.
"So, has anything happened here since I left?" Naruto asked, wondering if anything's happened in the Chasm while he was away.
"Not much besides the usual, everyone fighting and the ground constantly shaking, opening up more cracks in the ground." Ariak replied with a shrug, since nothing interesting really happens in Prexxor Chasm.
"Yes. However, we have noticed something…different. It seems the ground has been shaking much more frequently lately, and each time seems more intense than the last. Some other Creatures here are getting concerned that something is causing it, rather than it being natural." Said Ursis with a frown, unable to help but notice the more frequent earthquakes they've been getting, wondering if something was causing it.
The Uzumaki also frowned at this, knowing that while earthquakes were common in Prexxor Chasm, it was concerning to learn they were becoming more frequent. Making him wonder if something was now causing them.
"Well since I'm able to port here now, whenever I want, I could see about using my clones to investigate and see if something's happening." Naruto said, wanting to see if something was happening in case these more frequent earthquakes was something dangerous.
"Also do either of you know about the Droskin? Along with any Mugic or Creatures I'd be able to scan?" Questioned Naruto, interested in knowing if they knew anything about the Droskin, or about where he could get any Mugic and Creature scans.
With Ursis and Ariak smirking in response, before the former pulled out the Droskin itself and the latter pulled out a Tones of Tumult, much to Naruto's shock.
"How do you…" Naruto said, not expecting them to actually have the Droskin and Tones of Tumult with them.
"I'm the one who created the Droskin. It was when I went down into one of the chasms that found gems that no matter what I did, none of my attacks even scratched them. It was only after I physically broke them that I was able to collect some, before using them to create the Droskin." Revealed Ursis as he put the BattleGear on.
"And I always carry a Tones of Tumult. While my size and speed help to avoid most Creatures and attacks, it never hurts to make it even harder for them to see and hit me. You'd also be surprised at the Mugic you can find buried down in the crevices, and lucky for me I'm small enough to get to the really hard to reach ones." Ariak said, having managed to get a few Mugic during his times exploring the underground caverns.
"Wow, no wonder it's a one of kind BattleGear no ones else has seen before. Thanks guys, these are definitely going to be useful in matches." Said Naruto as he immediately scanned both the BattleGear and Mugic.
"We would've let you scan them the last time we met, but Crellan said they may be too much for a new Chaotic player and he didn't want you to become reliant on them." Said Ursis, with the Uzumaki nodding in understanding, knowing with just the Droskin he'd have developed an even bigger ego, thinking he's invincible with it.
"Now come on, if you want a Creature, then Proboscar isn't too far from here." Said Ariak as he flew up into the air, while Naruto and Ursis followed him from the ground.
Though as they traveled through the Chasm, the ground shook a few times, making Naruto frown. Seeing that Ursis wasn't kidding when he said they were becoming more frequent, knowing that he'll need to see what may be causing the quakes at a later time, doubting that these were natural anymore.
It wasn't long before they arrived at the spot where Proboscar was, with Naruto seeing that Proboscar resembled a woolly mammoth with four tusks, a snake-like mouth at the ends of its trunk, and a troll-like face underneath its hair.
"That's Proboscar." Muttered Naruto, having heard of the Creature, but this was his first time seeing it up close.
"Yeah. Let me and Ariak distract him first, since if Proboscar sees you he'll start charging and despite his size, he's really fast." Ursis said, with the Uzumaki nodding in response.
"Okay, just be careful not to hurt him, otherwise the scan will be weaker than it should be." Said Naruto, the Tribeless Creature nodding at this, before they saw Ariak diving down towards Proboscar.
"Smokesurge!" Ariak said, unleashing a blast of smoke at Proboscar, the mammoth-like Creature letting out a loud bellow at the sudden smokescreen surrounding him.
With Ursis leaping out into the smoke, knowing where Proboscar was from his scent, tackling Proboscar and pinning him to the ground, being careful not to actually hurt him.
"Vine Snare!" Said Ursis, with the ground breaking open and vines shooting out that wrapped around Proboscar, making him let out another bellow and thrash around to break free.
Seeing his chance, Naruto quickly got close to get a scan of Proboscar, smiling when he got it only with seeing his stats and ability.
'He really is fast, along with having the energy and power to match it, along with decent courage. And his ability to move to any unoccupied space, that'll definitely be useful.' Thought Naruto, knowing Proboscar will definitely be a powerful new addition to his deck, before he then proceeded to scan the surrounding area to get another scan of Prexxor Chasm.
"Thanks for the help Ursis, Ariak! I'll see you next time I port here!" Naruto said, waving to the two Creatures before porting away, which they returned before Ursis roared at Proboscar as he broke free before tackling the mammoth-like Creature, seeing they were now free to attack.
*Port Court*
Reappearing in the Port Court, Naruto headed over to a Docking Table to upload his new scans, pleased at the new additions to his deck.
"Yo-ho-ho-ho! The Phantom has returned! Get any sweet new scans, bro?!" Said Peyton, making Naruto look to see the others coming over to him.
"Hey guys, and yeah, I just got from a Scan Quest in Prexxor Chasm." Replied Naruto, with the four friends quickly gathering around the table to see the new scans he got.
"That definitely explains your good mood. What'd you get?!" Kaz asked eagerly, with the Uzumaki smirking as he showed the new scans he got, much to their amazement.
"No way, a Tones of Tumult and the Droskin! Where'd you get those?!" Said Tom, not expecting Naruto to get both of those on his first Scan Quest in Prexxor Chasm, knowing how useful they'll be in DromeMatches.
"I just got lucky in finding them." Naruto said with his smirk growing, not wanting to reveal Ursis and Ariak had both items, just in case any of his friends ever get the chance to battle Crellan and win, not wanting them to have all the answers in exploring the Chasm.
"I'm more interested in the Creature, Proboscar. Seriously look at how fast it can be, not to mention its ability, being able to move to any unoccupied space on the board. It could basically attack from anywhere." Sarah said in amazement at Proboscar's stats and ability.
"Dude! You have got to let us battle in Prexxor Chasm against these Creatures!" Said Peyton, wanting to get the chance to battle in Prexxor Chasm, with the others nodding in agreement.
"I'm sure there'll be plenty of time to let all of you have the chance to battle me in Prexxor Chasm. But for now, I'm gonna head to the BetaDromes, since I want to get some practice and training in as Proboscar." Naruto replied while grabbing his Scanner.
"Okay. You wanna watch some matches after you're done?" Sarah asked, the Uzumaki nodding in response.
"Sure, it'll be nice to watch some matches rather than being in them." Said Naruto, having been taking a break from taking part in anymore matches after his CodeMaster Match, given how difficult it had been and wanted a chance to relax a little.
Before the whiskered blonde headed for the BetaDromes while the others went to find a table to watch the ongoing matches.
*Later*
"Hey how'd your training go?" Kaz asked when they saw Naruto approaching their table before taking a seat.
"Pretty good, though it took some time getting used to moving around as Proboscar, along with learning to use the trunk. But I'm getting the hang of it." Replied Naruto, having had trouble getting used to suddenly moving on four legs and having a trunk with a snake mouth.
The others nodding in agreement, having had their own troubles before in getting used to moving as Creatures with extra legs, arms, or other limbs like tails. Or even no bodies at all, with Creatures like Drakness.
"Who's battling now?" Naruto asked frowning when he looked at a screen, seeing it was Rothar against Bierk in what looked like Mount Pillar.
"The witch, herself. Surprised she managed to fly her broomstick to a Drome for once." Said Peyton with a frown.
"Krystella is Rothar and right now her opponent just has Bierk left, but they've been putting up a good fight." Kaz said, making Naruto frown as they watched the match.
Seeing Bierk wielding a Torrent Krinth, boosting his water attacks even higher, and seeing Rothar was being backed up to an edge.
"Flood Force!"
"Song of Translocation!"
The group watched Bierk try hitting Rothar with Flood Force, only the UnderWorlder to use Song of Translocation and suddenly they were transported to Iron Pillar, with Bierk's BattleGear no longer working.
"That's definitely not a safe location." Naruto stated, seeing the two were standing on a platform and that one wrong step could get either of them coded.
"Wall of Flame!"
"And that's even worse." Said Tom as a wall of fire appeared between Bierk and Rothar, blocking their view of each other.
"Fearocity!"
Black spirit-like heads with sharp teeth then flew through the wall of fire, with them being ignited by the flames, and rushed towards Bierk. The Danian panicked at the sight of the burning and terrifying spirits, crying out as they attacked him.
"Time to go splat bug! Primal Smash!"
Rothar then slammed his fists down on the platform, forming cracks in the metal to spread out towards Bierk, the Danian being unable to react as the platform broke underneath him. Sending him screaming down to the ground where he burst into code, before it switched back to the Drome.
"The winner of the match UnderQueen."
"I really don't like saying this, but…Krystella is a powerful player and knows her stuff." Kaz muttered, the others reluctantly nodding in agreement as they couldn't deny Krystella is definitely one of the more powerful Chaotic Player.
"Yeah, she is. Now if only she had a better attitude, then I'd actually be glad seeing her win." Said Tom, since while she's a good player, her personality made it difficult to actually cheer her in her matches.
"Yep." Sarah said, nodding in agreement.
"Totally." Said Peyton, nodding as well.
"Don't worry about it guys. Krystella's bound to get her karma, eventually." Naruto said, believing that eventually Krystella will push her luck too far and everything she's done will come back to bite her.
Before the Uzumaki then heard his Scanner beeping, getting everyone's attention as he pulled it out.
"Chaotic Phantom, you have been challenged by Sanjay97 to a match in the Tirasis Drome." Said the Drome Master, making the group frown at learning just who was challenging him.
"I guess they still don't like the fact you were able to beat Crellan." Tom stated, guessing that Sanjay, Nick, and Tank were still upset Naruto beat a CodeMaster and now were having the only one among them to beat him challenge to a Drome Battle.
"That's no problem for me. I'm looking forward to a rematch and stomping him." Said Naruto, knowing this time he had no intentions of losing against Sanjay.
"Just try not to get overconfident again." Kaz warned, the Uzumaki nodding in response.
"Don't worry, I learned my lesson and won't make the same mistake again. I can't say the same for Sanjay, though." Naruto said with a smirk, already having a team in mind to use against the Danian player.
*Later-Tirasis Drome*
It wasn't long before Naruto arrived at the Tirasis Drome, finding Sanjay was already there waiting, smirking at the Uzumaki when he entered.
"Ready for another losing streak Phantom?" Sanjay said tauntingly, with Naruto simply taking his spot across from himand docked his Scanner.
"What's the matter? Not gonna say anything cause you already know how this match will end?" Said Sanjay with a smirk, only to frown in annoyance when Naruto still didn't react.
"Fine, don't say anything, I only care about beating the code out of you and getting one more win to battling Tirasis. But if a loser like you can beat a CodeMaster, then I doubt I'll have much to worry about." Sanjay said, with the whiskered blonde still not responding as he began assembling his team.
'For my frontline, I'll have Borth-Majar with a Pyroblaster to give them stronger firepower, next is Odu-Bathax with a Vlaric Shard boosting his Earth Attacks, and finally Prince Mudeenu with a Skeletal Steed to attack his Creatures in the back. And for the ones in the middle Ursis with the Droskin will be a nice surprise along with Ramarhvir with the Stingblade. Lastly Ariak in the back in case I need to revive any coded Creatures and I'll give him the Deconstructor.' Naruto thought, pleased at the Creatures he's chosen and their BattleGear.
'Next up is Mugic, I'll have Song of Geonova for offense and Fortissimo to give bug boy an even bigger problem to deal with. Melody of Mirage will be good if Ariak is targeted, make him really see double. The Danian Element Choral will also help give Ramarhvir, Odu-Bathax, Ursis, or Ariak access to more Elemental Attacks. And then Song of Resurgence for some extra energy and Canon of Casualty for even more damage.' Thought Naruto while setting up all his Mugic.
'Finally Locations. Definitely want to use my scans of Prexxor Chasm, he'll be more likely to end up coding himself there than me, Iron Pillar too so he can't use any BattleGear. The Hunter's Perimeter would also be a good spot, since he's a Danian player I doubt he knows a lot of Mipedian Locations. Same with Castle Rathwaq and the Numin Voidlands, those are ones no one would be able to navigate. Rao'Pa Sahkk will also be good to boost my Creatures Earth and Air Attacks. Then to finish it off, I'll add Kiru City, Underworld City, and Pouril Forest.' Naruto thought while putting in all the Locations, pleased at how he's set up his team.
"Players, lock your decks." The Drome Master said once the two finished assembling their teams, making them press buttons on their Scanners revealing their teams.
With Naruto seeing Sanjay had Ekuud, Ibiaan, and Valanii Levaan in his front row, Ivelaan and Tabaal in the middle, and Kannen in the back. The Uzumaki frowned, knowing that with Kannen he'll be able to revive one of his destroyed Creatures, but only by sacrificing Kannen.
'Still, I'll have to try and get rid of Kannen to stop that from happening.' Thought Naruto, preferring to not have to deal with a Danian being revived after he codes it.
"Sanjay 97, you have won five matches in the Tirasis Drome, you will have the first attack. Activate the Location Randomizer." Said the Drome Master, making Sanjay smirk as he spun the randomizer.
"The first Location…The Darkened Dunes. Choose your attacking and target Creatures." The Drome Master said once the randomizer settled on a Location.
"Hehehe, perfect. Ekuud attacks Ramarhvir!" Said Sanjay before selecting Ekuud and transforming into him, while Naruto chose Ramarhvir.
"Hope you're ready to see a real Danian fight." Ekuud said with a smirk, while Ramarhvir narrowed his eyes.
"Just try not to burst into code too fast." Said Ramarhvir.
"Let's get chaotic!"
*The Darkened Dunes*
Ramarhvir flew through the air looking around for any sign of where Ekuud could be hiding, narrowing his eyes for any sign of the Danian Noble. Missing Ekuud crouching down underneath one of the dunes, smirking as he watched Ramarhvir fly over him.
"Web Cocoon!" Ekuud shouted, shooting webs out of his hands that impacted Ramarhvir before ensnaring him, making the Hivebringers eyes widen as he fell out of the air.
"Come into my parlor, said the spider to the fly. And then the spider said, Rock Wave!" Said Ekuud, equipping his Vlaric Shard before slamming his fists into the ground, sending a large waves of rocks towards Ramarhvir.
"And the fly said, Cyclone Slam!" Ramarhvir said, surrounding himself with a twist that shredded the webbings around him, before flying back up into the air avoiding the Rock Wave.
"Followed by Lightning Burst!" Said Ramarhvir, summoning his Stingblade and firing a blast of lightning at Ekuud from it, with the other Danian crying out as he was electrocuted.
"Now let's see you handle Airsault!" Ramarhvir said, continuing his attack as he divebombed Ekuud while releasing three vortexes at him.
Ekuud's eyes widened at the sight of attack heading towards him before quickly moving out of the way, grunting as he raised his arms to block Ramarhvir's Stingblade from slicing him.
"What was that about seeing how a real Danian fights?" Ramarhvir said mockingly, making Ekuud scowl before he smirked.
"Like this! Paral-Eyes!" Said Ekuud, firing blasts from his eyes right at Ramarhvir, the Hivebringer having no time to dodge as he found himself unable to move.
"And let's see how you handle this next! Vine Snare!" Ekuud said, shooting vines out of his arms that wrapped around Ramarhvir.
Before the Danian Noble began swinging Ramarhvir through the air, until finally slamming him down into the ground. With Ramarhvir grunting from the impact, feeling his energy take a big hit from that as he tried standing up.
"Now for Power Pulse!" Said Ekuud, launching several energy fists at Ramarhvir.
"You aren't the only one who can do that! Power Pulse!" Ramarhvir said, firing his own energy fists that impacted Ekuud's.
"But I can also do this, Delirium!" Said Ramarhvir before he also fired a blast Ekuud, making the other Danin cry out as his vision started becoming blurry, only to cry out again as Ramarhvir's Power Pulse also impacted him.
"Then this should really help clear your mind, Unsanity!" Ramarhvir said before firing another blast at Ekuud, damaging him further and lowering his wisdom as well.
Groaning as he fell to the ground, Ekuud held his head before looking to try and focus on where Ramarhvir was, seeing the Hivebringer flying towards him through his blurry vision.
"Tr-trigger…Hive ability!" Said Ekuud activating his Hive ability to restore his energy, making Ramarhvir's eyes widen before he flew faster to end the battle, only for Ekuud to smirk as his energy went back up.
"Rustoxic!" Ekuud shouted, spitting out a blast of rust right at Ramarhvir once he was close enough, encasing him in rust and leaving him unable to move.
"Now fry, Lavalanche!" Said Ekuud, unleashing a wave of lava that crashed down on top of Ramarhvir, reducing him to code.
*Port Court*
"Oh man, things aren't looking good so far." Tom stated upon seeing that Naruto lost the first battle.
"Yeah, and now Ekuud's in the heart of his team, Sanjay can target any one of his Creatures." Said Kaz, knowing it'll be dangerous for their friend if he can't defeat Ekuud.
"Don't forget Ekuud's Hive ability will make it even harder to take him out, since he can just keep getting energy from his Mandiblors." Sarah added, before they heard Nick and Tank laughing.
"HAHAHA! Looks your friend is about to be turned into a real ghost, now!" Tank said, pleased to see Sanjay's already taken out one of Naruto's Creatures and gotten into the heart of his team.
"Even if he uses those bugs, at least he'll be crushing Phantom just like one." Said Nick with a smirk, as despite his dislike of the other tribes, he'll still enjoy seeing the Uzumaki be reduced to code.
While Sam could only mentally sigh in annoyance at their behavior, wondering why they seemed to think sending Sanjay after Naruto was a good idea.
"Laugh all you wants bros! Cause the Phantom is about to show why you should be afraid of this ghost!" Peyton said, believing Naruto will be able to win in the end, the others nodding in agreement as they continued to watch the match confident in their friend.
*Tirasis Drome*
"Only the first battle and you're already down a Creature and now I can pick the rest of them off one-by-one. You wanna save yourself the embarrassment and just forfeit now?" Ekuud said mockingly as he turned back into Sanjay, while Naruto rolled his eyes.
"Blah, blah, blah, that's all I'm hearing." Said Naruto before he spun the randomizer, smirking when it landed on Prexxor Chasm.
"The next Location…Prexxor Chasm." The Drome Master said.
"Okay, let's see how confident you are now. Ariak attacks Ekuud!" Said Naruto selecting Ariak and turning into him, while Sanjay scoffed and chose Ekuud.
"Like it'll be a challenge to bury that flying rat." Retorted Sanjay, while Ariak smirked at him.
"Ariak might be small, but he's brought down Creatures stronger than Ekuud." Ariak stated.
*Prexxor Chasm*
"Pebblestorm!" Ekuud shouted firing a barrage of pebbles at Ariak as the squirrel-like Creature moved quickly through the trees dodging his attacks.
"Shriek Shock!" Said Ariak, turning around and unleashing a sonic scream that slammed right into Ekuud, making the Danian cry out and cover his ears from the loud.
"Unsanity!" Ariak said blasting Ekuud, damaging him further and lowering his wisdom.
"Th-th-that won't work this time either! Shadow Strike!" Said Ekuud, causing several shadows to rise up and lunge at Ariak, only for him to quickly fly out of the way of the attacks.
"Well this time I have something else to go with it! Melody of Mirage!" Said Ariak, activating his Mugic, making Ekuud's eyes widen as suddenly he was surrounded by dozens of Ariak's, both from the Mugic and his blurry vision.
"Delirium!" Said Ariak before blasting Ekuud, the Danian crying out as he saw the copies seemed to now triple before him.
"Where are you?! Stop hiding coward!" Shouted Ekuud looking around for where Ariak could be hiding.
"Who's hiding? I'm right in front of you! Velocitrap!" Ariak said, firing a blats of electricity right into Ekuud's face, making him stumble back.
"AH! You little rat! Power Pulse!" Ekuud said, throwing energy fists at Ariak, only for them to pass right through the mirage copies.
"What're you doing?! I'm behind you now! Inferno Gust!" Said Ariak before Ekuud was thrown forward by a blast of burning air.
"That's it! Try dodging this rat! Rock Wave!" Yelled Ekuud, slamming his fists down into the ground, unleashing a large wave of rocks all around him, crashing down and getting rid of the remaining copies.
Panting from the damage done to him, Ekuud scowled as he looked around, seeing that Ariak was still around if they weren't back in the Drome.
"Where are you?!" Ekuud shouted before he spotted something moving in the trees.
"There you are! Skeletal Strike!" Said Ekuud as a skeleton emerged from his chest and lunged at where he saw Ariak, the skeleton slammed into the tree breaking it, only for the Danian to tense when he felt something land on his head.
"I think you got him, and I got you. Lightning Burst!" Ariak said unleashing a blast of lightning down at Ekuud, the Danian Noble crying out as he was electrocuted.
"AAAAAAHHHH! I'm gonna tear you into a thousand pieces of code! Thunder Shout!" Yelled Ekuud, unleashing a loud sonic wave at Ariak, only for the Tribeless Creature to dive out of the way and began scurrying across the ground.
"You aren't getting away from me, rat! Pebblestorm!" Ekuud said, firing barrages of pebbles at Ariak, with him jumping out of the way each time.
"You're gonna have to do better than that if you want to hit me! Airsault!" Said Ariak, unleashing three vortexes of wind that blew away the pebbles fired at him and slammed into Ekuud.
"Then how's this?! Swarm Song!" Said Ekuud activating his own Mugic, making Ariak's eyes widen before he cried out when a blue spiraling swarm of insects slammed into him, sending the Tribeless Creature skidding across the ground, just barely avoiding falling off a cliff.
"Hehehehehe, no where left to run, rat." Ekuud said, wickedly while standing over the Tribeless Creature, as Ariak struggled to get up from being hit by the Mugic.
"Y-ye-yeah…n-no-no wh-wh-where…for you! Sleep Sting!" Said Ariak as he suddenly recovered, showing he was feigning being hurt before firing multiple glowing darts at Ekuud, much to his shock.
"NO! I…I won't…" Ekuud said as he tried dodging the attack, only for the darts to hit him and instantly began feeling tired.
While Ariak quickly scurried beneath his legs as the Danian began swaying where he stood, before the squirrel-like Creature summoned the Deconstructor.
"Have a nice trip!" Ariak said firing the Deconstructor at Ekuud, making the Danian cry out before he screamed as he fell down into the chasm, bursting into code when he hit the bottom.
*Port Court*
"So, what was that about who'll be getting crushed like a bug?" Kaz asked while looking at Tank and Nick with a smirk, while the two players scowled in annoyance at Sanjay losing his advantage just as quickly.
"What do you idiots think you're doing?!" Demanded Krystella going up to the table with a scowl on her face, seeing that Sanjay was battling against Naruto, something she certainly didn't approve of them doing behind her back.
"You're new friends thought it was smart to challenge Naruto, after he's already defeated a CodeMaster." Sarah said smirking at the brunette, making Krystella's scowl intensify as she glared at Nick and Tank.
"And which of you thought doing that of all things was a bright idea?!" Krystella said, not believing they'd do something so stupid.
"At least we're actually trying to get back at Phantom! What've you been doing?!" Retorted Tank glaring at Krystella.
"I have been doing the smart thing and planning what to do! Not rushing in like an idiot, and certainly not expecting Phantom to be defeated by the same person twice!" Said Krystella.
"She's right, you know. Sanjay only beat Phantom before because of his overconfidence, which he no longer has. And right now he's at his strongest right after defeating a CodeMaster that hardly anyone beats. This match was already decided the moment you three challenged him." Sam said, knowing the chance of Sanjay actually winning were slim to none.
"Figures you two would defend Phantom, just like before!" Nick said with a scowl, still angry along with Tank and Sanjay at how they defends the whiskered blonde during his match against Crellan.
"And I've already said, we're thinking smart and not just throwing petty insults against someone that doesn't care what we say. But fine, if you three are so eager to give Phantom another win, go ahead, and maybe this time you'll finally get through those thick skulls to be patient and let me or Sam handle the planning." Krystella retorted before sitting down to watch the match, though now only interested in watching Sanjay get knocked around for doing something this stupid.
While the others glanced at each other, being able to just feel the tension between them, before turning back to the match.
*Tirasis Drome*
"So, what was that about me forfeiting? Why don't you take your own advice." Ariak said as he turned back into Naruto, while Sanjay scowled at losing his advantage.
"I'm gonna enjoy watching you burst into code." Retorted Sanjay as he spun the randomizer before it settled on a Location.
"Ivelaan attack Mudeenu!"
Ivelaan cried out as he sliced apart by Ice Disks before bursting into code.
"Mudeenu attacks Ibiaan!"
Mudeenu rode his Skeletal Steed through Queen's Gate trying to outrun the falling statues, only to be reduced to code as they fell on top of him.
"Ibiaan attacks Odu-Bathax!"
Ibiaan screamed as he was frozen by a Rustoxic before being crushed by a Rockwave.
"Odu-Bathax attacks Tabaal!"
Odu-Bathax laughed loudly as he used Mirthquake as Tabaal tried blocking out the sound, only to soon lose the last of his energy and burst into code. But not before he sacrificed Kannen to revive Ibiaan.
"Ibiaan attacks Ariak!"
Ariak tried flying away only to be crushed by a Rock Wave from Ibiaan.
"Ursis attacks Ibiaan!"
Ursis looked down at Ibiaan dangling from a ledge after he failed to jump over a chasm, before launching an Arbor Smash at the Danian. Knocking him of the ledge and plummeting to the bottom, where he burst into code.
*Tirasis Drome*
"Ready to forfeit yet, or will you let me reduce Valanii Levaan to code too?" Ursis said with a smirk as he turned back into Naruto, while Sanjay scowl in anger and worry that he might actually lose.
"We'll just see who'll be reduced to code!" Retorted Sanjay as he activated the randomizer.
"The next Location…Mount Pillar Reservoir." Said the Drome Master, with Sanjay looking at what Creatures he could attack, before smirking as he saw the perfect target.
"Valanii Levaan attacks Borth-Majar!" Said Sanjay selecting his last Creature while Naruto selected Borth-Majar.
"You must enjoy losing if you're fighting us." Naruto said as he turned into Borth-Majar, while Sanjay turned into Valanii.
"No, I just wanna enjoy coding you twice as much!" Valanii retorted.
"Let's get chaotic!"
*Mount Pillar Reservoir*
Borth-Majar walked along one of the pathways in the Reservoir, looking for any sign of where Valanii could be.
"Any plans Borth?" Majar asked glancing up at the small green Creature, with Borth humming in thought as he looked around.
"Hmmm, I believe…give me a moment." Said Borth as he began drawing on the back of Majar's head and muttered to himself, along with looking around.
"Yes, yes, yes! Hmhmhmhmhmhm! Right then, Majar mark the spot exactly three meters in front of us." Borth said as he finished his plan, while Majar went and marked the spot he wanted him to.
"Now, if my calculations are right, and they always are, our multi-limbed adversary will fall right into our trap." Borth-Majar stated, before Valanii suddenly burst out of the water behind them.
"Don't count on it runt! Sludge Gush!" Said Valanii spewing out a stream of sludge at Borth-Majar, with Borth slamming his hands down on Majar's head.
"Power Pulse!" Said Borth-Majar launched energy fists that disrupted the slime from hitting them.
"Earth Pulse!" Valanii said, slamming his hands on the ground, unleashing a shockwave through the ground, causing Borth-Majar to stumble from the shaking.
"Flashwarp!" Said Valanii holding his hands up and releasing a bright flash, leaving Borth-Majar partially encased in stone and unable to move, before the Danian smirked as he looked up seeing multiple stalactites on the ceiling.
"You said this was a trap meant for me?! Let's see how you like it being sprung on you! Pillar Quake!" Said Valanii, slamming his hands into the ground again, causing the entire Reservoir to begin shaking as rocks and stalactites began falling down, not seeing Borth-Majar smirking at his attack.
"You're under the impression you were the one meant to stand here." Borth-Majar stated, making the Danians eyes widen in shock before he was forced to jump out of the way as stalactites and rocks began falling all around him while missing the UnderWorlder entirely.
"Mind Strike!" Said Borth-Majar firing a blast at Valanii, with the Danian Noble crying out as he was thrown back.
"You aren't going to beat me that easily! Power Pulse!" Valanii yelled, launched several energy fists at Borth-Majar.
"Not yet, anyway! And now for Telekinetic Bolt!" Borth-Majar said as they telekinetically grabbed all the fallen rocks and stalactites around them, lifting them in the air and throwing them at Valanii.
The debris impacted with the Power Pulse before the rest continued on towards the Danian, who quickly dived out of the way to avoid being hit.
"Power Pulse!" Said Borth-Majar, launching more energy fists at Valanii, only for them to completely miss.
"You missed! I guess that pile of rock's head really is empty, to match the runts pea-sized brain!" Valanii said tauntingly, while Borth-Majar continued smirking.
"That's what you think you simpleton. Delirium!" Said Borth-Majar firing a blast at Valanii.
"Rock Wave!" Valanii said before slamming his fists onto the ground, sending a wave of rocks that blocked the Delirium and continued on towards Borth-Majar.
"Oh please, Power Pulse!" Borth-Majar said, unleashing another barrage of energy fists that blew apart the wave, along with missing Valanii again.
"HAHAHA! I've seen better attacks from Bodal! Why don't I just stand still, not that it'll do you any good!" Said Valanii, standing across from the UnderWorlder.
"Yes, could you please do that! But just take another three steps backwards, just to ensure the pillar hits you!" Said Borth-Majar, confusing Valanii at his words.
"Pillar? What pi-" Valanii said only for his eyes to widen in shock as he looked behind him, only to see one of the massive support pillars that kept the Reservoir's ceiling from caving in right behind him.
Noticing how the top of it was now broken apart from Borth-Majar's attacks and the debris launched at it.
"That pillar you fool. Unsanity!" Borth-Majar said, firing another blast that succeeded in impacting Valanii, the Danian Noble crying out as his wisdom went down and his eyes began swirling.
"Now to finish this with, Force Strike!" Said Borth-Majar as he slammed his fists into the ground, with the ground cracking open that rushed towards the pillar behind Valanii.
Once the attack reached the pillar, a blast of energy shot up through it, destabilizing the base before it began falling down towards Valanii. The Danian soon snapping out of his confusion, only to scream at the sight of the pillar falling towards him before he was crushed and reduced to code.
*Tirasis Drome*
"The winner of the match, Chaotic Phantom." Declared the Drome Master as Sanjay scowled while Borth-Majar turned back into Naruto.
"Guess you'll have to wait just a little longer to get another win, here. But hey, let me know if you want another match, I'm thinking of challenging Hotekk next and need to start getting wins in his Drome." Naruto said with a smirk as he grabbed his Scanner and exited the Drome.
With Sanjay scowling at the taunting before exiting the Drome as well and returning to the others, finding Krystella was there as well.
"So, have you three learned to leave planning to the professionals? Or are you eager to be crushed too, Tank? Make it so Phantom has you all beaten three-for-three." Said Krystella, making the trio scowl at the insult.
While Naruto returned to the table his friends were at, the four smiling at him as he returned.
"Way to go dude! Evening the score with Sanjay97! Or should I say Sanjay86!" Peyton said, the others nodding in agreement.
"And nice job winning the match with Borth-Majar. I guess that makes Sanjay a four-times loser against us." Said Kaz with a smirk, happy to see Sanjay being coded by Borth-Majar again.
"Thanks guys, I'm glad I got the chance to put him in his place. Now let's see him try saying anything about beating me before." Naruto said, pleased that he was able to knock Sanjay down a couple pegs.
"That's not all you won. Check it out." Sarah said pointing a screen, making the others look to see Borth-Majar dropping the pillar on Valanii before showing Naruto and Borth-Majar.
"Awesome Naruto! You managed to make the Chaotic Play of the Day!" Said Tom, impressed that he didn't only win his match, but got the play of the Day as well.
"Even sweeter job, bro!" Added Peyton.
"Yeah, nice one. It actually reminds me of when I made the Play of the Day." Kaz said remembering when he made Play of the Day, only to look at Peyton when he started laughing.
"You must have a good memory Kaz, cause that was a looong time ago." Stated Peyton, making the others laugh lightly.
"Excuse me, Mr. Mipedian. But I believe I've won a higher percentage of Drome Matches than you have." Kaz said, standing up with a smirk.
"Uh, Drome Masters don't care about percentages, my friend. They care about wins, I have more wins than you." Peyton replied, while Naruto mentally groaned.
"Okay, let's just calm down now, you're both great players." Said Naruto, not wanting them to get into another competition.
"No, no, let Peyton speak. Because it sounds like he's saying he's a better player than me!" Said Kaz, narrowing his eyes.
"Absolutely not! No point in saying what everybody knows, especially when I destroyed you in the BetaDromes the first time we mixed it up!" Peyton said with a smirk.
"Hey! I have a good idea, why don't you make like a Mipedian and disappear!" Kaz retorted.
"Guys, come on." Said Tom in worry they were going to start another competition.
"Yeah, let's just all calm down." Sarah added, preferring if they weren't caught in the middle of another competition.
"Hey, no problem, we're cool." Said Peyton, with Kaz nodding in agreement as he sat down.
"Totally cool." Kaz said, much to the others relief.
"Oh good. I don't want to go through another Kaz vs Peyton challenge marathon." Tom said in relief, causing Naruto and Sarah to freeze before they slowly turned towards him, not believing he just said that.
"You're on!" Kaz said, shooting up from his chair.
"Bring it on!" Said Peyton, turning to face the redhead.
Tom could only smile sheepishly at the looks Naruto and Sarah were giving him, knowing he shouldn't have said anything.
"What'll it be? First one to win seven matches wins?" Kaz said.
"Why stop at seven? Why not make it a nice round number like uh…seventeen!" Said Peyton.
"You started this; you get to stop it." Sarah stated narrowing her eyes at Tom.
"I can't stop it." Said Tom, knowing it's impossible to stop Kaz and Peyton when they get into a challenge.
"Either you stop it, or we start carrying duct tape." Said Naruto, making the OverWorld player gulp before he suddenly got an idea.
"Actually…guys don't drag this out in dozens of matches. We'll settle it in one shot, with a Scavenger Scan Wuest." Tom said, making the others look at him.
"Yes!" Kaz and Peyton said eagerly to the idea.
"Uh…what's a Scavenger Scan Quest?" Questioned Sarah, having never heard of that before, with the others sharing her confusion.
"Okay listen up. A Scavenger Scan is a test of scanning ability, speed, and strategy. Both of you have one hour to port to Perim and scan whatever you can find for a three-on-three match." Tom explained.
"You mean we can't use our regular decks?" Peyton asked, not believing they'd have to only use what they can scan, right now.
"Exactly. But a couple rules first, you need to scan at least three Creatures and ten Locations or you forfeit. BattleGear, Mugic, and any additional Creatures and Locations are optional. There's also no trading with other players." Said Tom, with Kaz and Peyton nodding at this.
"But wait, the Scanners can only hold one scan of each type of scannable, one Creature, one Location." Sarah said, knowing they'd need to be constantly porting back and forth to upload their scans.
"That's the idea, isn't it. By only being able to get one scan of each at a time, they'll need to keep porting back here and planning on their feet on how exactly they'll make their teams." Naruto said, with Tom nodding in agreement.
"That's right, it's part of the fun. They'll need to strategize on the fly and scan smart on how they build their teams, as there'd be no way of knowing what exactly the other person will scan. All they can do is prepare for anything." Tom said, the whiskered blonde being intrigued at the competition.
"Now that I've heard everything, I think I want to take part in this Scavenger Scan Quest too." Stated Naruto, liking the idea of something like this.
"You're welcome to join us." Said Kaz, not minding if Naruto took part.
"Totally bro! It'll be the wickedest threeway match ever!" Peyton said, liking the idea of it being a free-for-all match between them.
"Why stop at just three? Why don't we make an event out of it, all of us battling against each other at the same time with whatever we manage to scan." Tom said, now wanting to participate himself.
"What about you Sarah, do you wanna join?" Naruto asked, looking at the Danian player, the others doing the same.
"Uh…I think I'm gonna sit this one out, besides you all will need a referee to keep track of time since I doubt any of you will remember while you're busy scanning." Said Sarah, as while she's starting to regain her fire for battling, it's still a work-in-progress.
Especially since she still had some stigma to deal with from the tribes.
"Okay, then it'll be the four of us in a free-for-all match with Sarah as the ref. Let the first ever Scavenger Scan Quest, begin." Tom said.
"What's a Scavenger Scan Quest?" Questioned Kit as he approached the group, having gotten some time away from his duties as a CodeMaster, only to hear something about a "Scavenger Scan Quest".
"Hey Kit. It's this new Scan Quest that Tom just thought of, and it's so cool." Kaz said before they began explaining the Scavenger Scan Quest, with Kit being intrigued by the idea.
"Hmm, before any of you go off, give me a few moments to talk with the other CodeMasters. They might be interested to hear about this." Kit said before heading off to meet with the Council of CodeMasters, confusing the others before they sat back down.
"Dude, you think the CodeMasters would actually want to take part in the Scavenger Scan Quest?" Peyton asked, not sure what to think of that.
"I don't think so, they're probably busy to take part in that. Plus, I don't think it'd be really fair if they all used their rare Location scans." Said Kaz, doubting the CodeMasters would take part.
"Yeah, while it might be fun if they did and showed off their scans, it wouldn't really be fair." Tom added.
After a while, the groups Scanners all started ringing at once, before noticing that everyone's else's Scanners were ringing as well. Before they also looked at the screens, only to see they weren't showing matches anymore, but were shocked to see all the CodeMasters instead.
"To all Chaotic players, after some discussion, the Council of CodeMasters are pleased to announce the beginning the first ever Scavenger Scan Tournament." Crellan declared, much to the groups shock while the rest of the players were confused at what this could be.
"Starting now, over the next three days sixty-four players will travel across Perim scanning any Creatures, Mugic, BattleGear, and Locations they can find, and they will then battle with those scans. With the requirements being at least six Creature scans and ten Location scans, everything else is optional. After the end of the given time period, anyone who fails to have the required number of scans will forfeit, while the first ten players that arrive will participate in the finals." Explained Crellan, with everyone now looking intrigued and interested in this.
"But there are also rules every participant will follow. First, you're not permitted to use any scans you currently have in your decks nor are you allowed to trade with other players, the only scans you can use are the ones you get in Perim over the next three days. And we will be monitoring your Scanners, anyone caught cheating will be disqualified. There will also be no interfering in other contestants' Scan Quests. This is about testing your ability to strategize and plan on the fly, you want to win then make sure you prepare to face anything." Hotekk said.
"And lastly, for the player that manages to win the tournament will receive a rare Creature scan from the combined decks of all the CodeMasters." Revealed Imthor, much to everyone's shock and amazement, along with their growing excitement that they could get a Creature scan from one of the CodeMasters' own decks.
"That is all, with there being a thirty minute entry period for those that wish to compete. With that said, let the Scavenger Scan Tournament begin and may the best player win!" Crellan said before the screens went back to normal.
Not a moment later, players all instantly began signing the entry form that appeared on their scanners, eager to get to Perim and start collecting enough scans to participate in the tournament.
"Sarah, come on! There's no way you can sit out on this now!" Tom said in excitement at how big the Scavenger Scan Quest has become and the prize they could win, having just signed up, himself.
"I'm fine just sitting this out guys, really. Besides, everyone else-" Said Sarah, not wanting to participate in an even bigger event like this, especially as there's no telling who the finalists could be.
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no! You aren't getting out of this one, Sarah! This is a first in Chaotic history, a once in a lifetime opportunity! You have to enter it!" Said Peyton, refusing to let Sarah sit this out.
"Yeah Sarah! You heard the CodeMasters, one of us could have the chance to win a rare Creature scan from the CodeMasters, themselves! There's no telling what it could be or how powerful! There's no way you could miss out on a chance like that!" Kaz added, excited at what kind of Creature the winner would get.
"Sarah, we know you're still hesitant to take part in matches, but you really can't sit this out. This could be your chance to really show everyone what a great player you are, and show that you're still the ChaotiKween." Naruto said, not wanting Sarah to miss this chance.
With the Danian player looking at her friends before eventually sighing, doubting they'll stop getting her to participate until she agreed. And Sarah couldn't deny, she really did like the idea of getting a chance to receive a rare Creature scan from the CodeMasters if she did win. Plus, she also couldn't deny Naruto had a point and that this would be a good chance to show everyone that she's the ChaotiKween.
"Well…what're we waiting for?! We have three days to get all the scans we can get!" Sarah said signing up for the tournament before standing up, making the boys smile before they all ran to the transporters once the thirty minute entry period had ended.
All of them wanting to make the most of the next seventy-two hours to build their teams and enter the finals.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruto returning to Prexxor Chasm and reuniting with Ursis and Ariak, telling them about everything that's happened as well as learning about what's happened in the Chasm, where we get hints of a certain infection that'll be showing up soon. Before he's able to get a scan of the Droskin and a Tones of Tumult, as well as a scan of Proboscar who'll definitely be a good addition to his team, as well as another Prexxor Chasm scan. With Naruto then returning to Chaotic and uploading his scans before getting some training done as Proboscar, then joining his friends to watch some matches, one of which being Krystella winning as Rothar, unable to deny she is a good player but still has a bad personality.
Then we see Naruto being challenged by Sanjay, believing the first person who beat him can do it again, leading to them battling in the Tirasis Drome. With it being a tough battle, Sanjay showing he is a strong Danian player, only for Naruto to also show how skilled he is when not clouded by overconfidence. Leading to Naruto winning the match, while also showing the tension growing between Krystella and her other allies, besides Sam, due to her "defending" Naruto.
Finally we see the start of "Scavenger Scan" only for it to grow into an event with Naruto and Tom deciding to join, only for it to then turn into a tournament after Kit brings the idea up to the other CodeMasters, with the prize being a rare Creature scan from one of the CodeMasters. Leading to the entire group signing up, with Sarah being convinced, before they all head to Perim to use as much time as they can to get the scans they want. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story.
