Q/A: Regarding Angel, he will not be seen in the story again. Will he meet his daughter, more than likely yes. I'm sure that Buffy at some point will likely take their daughter to L.A. so Angel can meet her. But any such scene won't be seen in the story as Angel does not make another appearance. In fact at Buffy's funeral in 'Loss' (an OC chapter) Angel is mentioned coming to pay his respects after the sun goes down, but he is not actually seen doing so. Angel at this time has no further place in this story. If someone was hoping for a Bangel pairing, then your reading the wrong story. My Bangel pairing happens in Charmed: The Last Halliwell, in the partially written eighth season.
Chapter 125: Baby's First Demon
Piper, Phoebe, Paige and Leo are looking down at Piper's baby who is in his bassinet.
"Ooh, I could eat him up! I swear I could with a little ranch dressing." Phoebe says.
"Okay, but let's not, okay?" Piper says.
"I can't make that promise." Phoebe says.
"Okay, don't listen to your aunties, okay, they're a little kooky. Us guys gotta stick together, don't we, Peter?" Leo says.
"Peter?" Piper asks.
"Peter. I'm just floating it." Leo says.
"Hmm, is your name Peter?" Piper asks.
"Well, for what it's worth, I dated a Peter in high school and he wasn't very nice." Phoebe says.
"Yeah, you know, for what it's worth, it's kind of the name of the appendage that he has that surprised us all so much. It might get him teased at school." Paige says.
Leo nods, "Okay, no Peter, but we're running out of P's."
"I can't believe you two never thought of P boy names." Paige says.
"Well, when Buffy, Prue, Phoebe and I went to the future I had a little girl and obviously that has changed, as have a lot of things. Such as Buffy having a daughter when she didn't in the future we went to. But, um, I'm still having trouble letting go of the name we settled on." Piper says.
"Yeah, well, Prudence Melinda might get him in trouble at school too." Phoebe says.
"I'm thinking that's probably true, although he could just zap them onto a roof like Harry Potter would or something." Paige says.
"Besides, Prudence is already taken." Buffy says as she and Dawn walks into the room. Dawn is carrying Buffy's daughter in her arms.
"God, I hope not." Leo says.
"Aren't you excited to see what his powers are?" Phoebe says. "What about you Buffy?"
"Excited, terrified. I mean, after seeing what the kid can do inside the womb, he's no muggle." Piper says.
"I'm in agreement with Piper." Buffy says.
"So you've decided on a name?" Phoebe asks Buffy.
Buffy nods, "Celia Prudence Halliwell."
"Celia?" Piper asks.
Dawn smiles, "It's the name of of our cousin on Dad's side of the family. She and Buffy were best friends till they were eight. Celia passed away in the hospital not long after her eighth birthday. Buffy was grief stricken for a week afterwards, they were very close."
Buffy looks at Dawn, "How did you know? You were only two years old when Celia passed away."
"That you wouldn't come out of your room for a week?" Dawn asks as Buffy nods. "Mom told me when I asked her who Celia was. I saw the picture in your room and was curious."
"Oh I didn't know you had any family other than your dad on his side of the family." Piper says.
Buffy sighs, "We have an aunt and uncle but that's it now since Celia passed away. Anyways I wanted to name Celia after two of my cousins who are no longer with us, Celia and Prue."
"I think Prue would be very proud to have your daughter named after her." Piper says.
"I know she would." Buffy says.
"Hey, what about Potter? Potter Halliwell. Or is it Wyatt?" Phoebe says.
"No, it's definitely Halliwell. Demons fear it, good magic respects it. I want what's best for him. That's why I'm gonna say no to Potter." Leo says.
Both babies start to cry.
"Oh, somebody's getting very sleepy. Come on. Shh." Piper says.
Phoebe hugs the bassinet. "We love you, we love you, baby, so much. Love you, love you, love you. Bye, baby." She then kisses Celia on her forehead, "We love you, we love you, baby, so much. Love you, love you, love you. Bye, baby."
Dawn rolls her eyes and takes Celia back into hers and Buffy's room as Phoebe and Paige leave the room also.
Piper tucks her baby in with a blanket embroidered with the triquetra symbol on it. "You're perfect, you perfect little creature."
"They're both perfect." Buffy says before she and Piper head out into the hallway.
"It's too bad with all the powers both of your babies have; sleeping through the night is not one of them." Paige says.
"Yeah, Buffy and I are sorry about that, you guys." Piper says.
Buffy nods in agreement.
Phoebe walks into her room.
"Maybe we can cast some kind of sound proofing spell around both Piper and my bedrooms so you don't have to deal with..." Buffy says.
Paige shakes her head, "No way, it'll interfere with both babies alarm system."
"Which works how exactly?" Piper asks.
"Ah, pretty basic stuff. I just enchanted a few cowry shells." Paige says.
"Well, it's not going to shock anything, is it?" Leo asks.
"In the nursery or Buffy and Dawn's room? I'm not a total idiot. It'll just alert us to the presence of evil so we can all sleep a little sounder and both sets of shells will emit a different sound so we know which room to go to. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I need to apply some under eye makeup to these dark circles that your sweet babies caused." Paige says as she goes into her room and closes the door.
Phoebe sneaks out of her room, heading for Piper's.
"Where are you going?" Piper asks as Dawn comes out of her and Buffy's room.
"I'm just gonna go watch him sleep for a little while." Phoebe says. "Then for a little while more go watch Celia sleep."
"Phoebe. You must go to work." Buffy says.
"Yeah, aren't you supposed to meet the new owner of the paper today?" Leo asks.
"I know, but it's so hard to leave him. Shouldn't there be some sort of maternity leave for new aunties?" Phoebe says.
"Phoebe, the club is not raking in the dough these days and Paige is unemployed, the cost of diapers for two babies... We kind of need you to keep your job." Buffy says.
Phoebe sighs, "You're right, you're right, I'll go." She looks to Piper. "Just, no Peter, okay? And no Patrick. And I really think you should consider Potter because it's a great name. Okay. Just don't make any decisions until I get back, please."
"Time to go." Piper says.
"And do me a favor and kiss his and her little toes for me when they wake up." Phoebe says as she leaves.
"When are you going to talk to her?" Leo asks.
"That's a good question." Dawn says.
"Oh, she's just excited." Buffy says.
"Excited, obsessed." Leo says.
"Why? Because she wants to watch her nephew and niece sleep?" Piper asks.
Leo shakes his head, "No, because yesterday she was giving you and Buffy breast feeding advice and now she wants maternity leave."
"Well, she knows a lot about breasts. And she's an aunt, that's what they do. It's family, you know." Piper says.
"Okay, well, how are the mommies doing?" Leo asks as he puts his arms around Piper.
"Well I don't know about Piper. But I'm tired, and happy." Buffy says.
Piper nods, "Pretty much the same."
"Wanna try and get some sleep?" Leo asks.
"How about you, Buffy?" Dawn asks.
"Mm-hm." Piper and Buffy says.
Suddenly, an alarm goes off. Paige runs out of her bedroom. "The baby!"
"What?" Piper asks.
"The baby!" Paige says as another alarm begins to sound. "Both babies!"
Paige runs in between them and heads for Piper's bedroom. Piper and Leo follow.
Buffy and Dawn runs into their room. Two demons are standing over Celia's bassinet.
"Hey!" Dawn says.
Celia's flame shield appears around Celia's bassinet and knocks the demons backwards. Buffy powers up a fireball throwing it at a demon and vanquishes him. Dawn powers up an energy ball and gets ready to throw it as the other demon shimmers out.
"Son of a...!" Dawn says.
"Language, Dawn." Buffy says.
The flame shield vanishes as Buffy and Dawn walk over to Celia who is crying.
"Well at least we know Celia still has her flame shield." Dawn says.
"Yeah thank goddess for small miracles." Buffy says as she picks up her baby and she and Dawn walks out of their room and into Piper's room as Piper picks up her baby.
"Are you okay? No, you're okay, it's alright, you're okay." Piper says.
"Did they scare you?" Paige asks.
Buffy smiles, "They're okay."
Moments later Dawn, Buffy, Piper and Paige walk into the attic.
"It just pisses me off. I can't believe they would come in the house and and try to steal both babies." Piper says.
"Piper, demons aren't exactly known for their moral compass. At least they'll be safe with the Elders until we can figure it out." Paige says.
Piper and Paige walk over to the Charmed Book of Shadows. While Buffy and Dawn walk over to their Book of Shadows.
"But they're just babies. They're small and little and innocent." Dawn says.
"It's okay. They both got that invincibility thing going on. Hey, do you think that's permanent or is it like a baby teeth thing?" Paige says.
Buffy sighs, "I have no idea but the demons saw both his and Celia's shields, they're gonna find a way around it."
"Unless they can get up to Elder-land, they're gonna be fine." Paige says.
"Well, they can't stay up there forever." Piper says.
"That's what we're here for. No one is going to steal them. I promise you that." Paige says.
Leo orbs in with both babies.
"Leo?" Piper and Buffy says.
"They wouldn't keep them." Leo says.
"What? Why? Did you tell them what's going on?" Piper asks.
Leo nods, "They want us to prove to ourselves that we can protect them like your mom and grams did for you. And like Patience did for you Buffy."
Both babies start to cry. Buffy and Piper takes them from Leo.
"Oh, no, it's okay, we don't need them anyway. It's alright." Piper says.
"Shh! It's ok, pum'kin belly." Buffy says.
"That's my nickname." Dawn says.
Buffy smiles, "Where do you think I got it from. Mom always called you pum'kin belly. I think it's time you handed that title to your niece."
Dawn smiles, "I'd be happy to."
Piper sits down on the couch.
Leo sits beside Piper. "Are you okay?"
"I'm having some severe separation anxiety issues." Piper says.
"We can do this." Leo says before he looks to Buffy, "All of us."
Buffy smiles and nods.
Paige turns to a page in the Charmed Book of Shadows. "Hey, here he is, the Hawker Demon."
Dawn walks over to Paige and looks at the page, "Yep that's the one that was in our room also. A breed of demon known for hawking magical goods at the demonic market."
"Magical goods? Our babies are a magical good? That is sick and twisted." Piper says.
"I have to agree," Buffy says.
"The question is who would wanna buy them and why?" Leo asks.
Later in the conservatory Paige and Dawn walks in through the door and walks into the parlor where Buffy, Piper, Leo and both babies are. Buffy, Piper and Leo are looking at the family tree.
"Well, the neighbors who don't already think we're crazy now officially do. But the house is surrounded by apples and sage." Paige says.
"Thank you. I know you think it's a waste of time but..." Piper says.
"Well, you know, if it worked we would've done it already." Dawn says.
Buffy nods, "Every little bit helps."
"Alright. How's your ritual coming?" Paige asks.
Piper shakes her head, "It's not."
"What? I thought you were gonna try to call the baby's fairy guards." Paige says.
"Well we did for Celia. But not for mine and Leo's baby. To perform the ritual properly you have to have a name for the baby first." Piper says.
Leo nods, "So we busted out the family tree hoping to find some new ideas."
"Let me see." Paige says as she sits beside them. "Okay, right away I'm gonna say I'm against the name Herbert."
"Yeah, we already vetoed Clarence and Milton as well." Piper says.
Paige looks at the bottom of the paper. "Not to be too self-centred but where am I on the tree?"
"Oh, uh..." Leo says.
Piper nods, "Well, we haven't had a chance to update it lately. The last time we updated it was when Buffy and Dawn came to live with us. Which was over four years ago."
"Oh, right." Paige says.
Leo nods, "Yeah, neither Celia nor our baby's is on there either."
"Well, yeah, that's because he doesn't have a name yet, Leo. Why not put Celia's down, she has a name." Paige says.
Buffy sighs, "We were at the moment more interested in trying to find a name for Piper and Leo's baby then updating the family tree. Don't worry we'll get you, him and Celia down soon."
"Anyway, wiccan rituals and fairy guards notwithstanding, I think it's time we bust out some serious ammo." Paige says.
"As in...?" Piper asks.
"As in a good old fashioned demon hunt. I say we bypass the Hawker and go for the jerk that hired him to steal both babies in the first place." Paige says.
"How?" Leo asks.
"Not so sure just yet but I will say this. Once we find him, we use him to send a message, If you come after this baby you will die in the cruellest manor possible."
Piper's baby starts to cry as Piper goes over to the bassinet.
"Well, I like the message. Um, you know, except..." Buffy says.
Piper picks up her baby and carries him to a change table.
"Except?" Paige says.
"Except for the part where Piper and I have to leave our newborn children to go demon hunting. I don't think either of us is ready." Buffy says.
Paige nods, "Okay, fine, I can understand that. I'll just, uh, I'll take Phoebe."
Piper changes the baby's diaper.
"Except that she's got a really big day at work today and we kinda need her money right now." Leo says.
Paige sighs, "I'll go by myself."
Dawn shakes her head and glares at Paige.
Leo shakes his head, "No way, you don't even know what kind of demon we're up against."
"Fine, but I am your baby's godmother, Leo, Piper. It's my job to protect him and if I don't stop him, the Hawker will come back. Talking about godmother, have you decided yet Buffy who you want for a godmother for Celia?"
Leo nods, "Alright, then let's get ready for him."
Buffy shakes her head, "No I haven't. It's hard to choose between, You, Piper, Phoebe and Dawn."
"So we'll lay a trap for him. Maybe we'll kidnap him and sell him to the highest bidder." Piper says as she picks up her baby and puts him back in the bassinet. "What do you think? That's a good idea."
"Then we can find out who hired him and force him to take us to them." Leo says.
"No, it sounds risky." Paige says.
"I have to agree with Paige." Dawn says.
"Well, he and Celia both have their own force fields and your alarm system, Paige. It's no more risky than you going off on your own on some wild goose chase." Leo says.
Buffy nods, "He's right, you should go get the crystals for the trap."
Paige sighs, "Fine." She goes upstairs.
"I'm going to go help Paige," Dawn says and she follows Paige upstairs.
The phone rings. Leo answers it. "Hello?"
"Shh!" Piper and Buffy says.
Leo walks into the conservatory.
Later Leo is back in the conservatory as Buffy, Piper and Leo are looking at the babies.
"Why would somebody want to hurt something so innocent?" Piper asks as Leo points at Dawn and Paige who are asleep on the couch. They walk into the parlor. "Poor Paige and Dawn. They're getting all the hassles of parenthood with none of the rewards."
Buffy nods, "I should find a way of showing Dawn I appreciate everything she's done."
"I think a smile from their nephew and niece is all they'll ever want. It's gonna be okay, Piper… Buffy." Leo says.
"How?" Piper asks.
"Because babies are resilient and ours and Celia have a little extra of that." Leo says.
"But even so, I mean, it can't be good for them. Even if they can handle the demons, they must sense the tension which means at the very best; we end up with two neurotic infants." Piper says.
"Look on the bright side, growing up with your sisters; they were bound to be neurotic anyway." Leo says.
Piper, Buffy and Leo laugh. Leo hugs both Piper and Buffy. Suddenly, Paige and Dawn come flying in the room. Both baby alarms go off. Buffy, Piper and Leo run into the parlor to see the Hawkers and another two demon there. The demons have red beams of light hitting the bassinets which is causing them to float in mid-air.
"No!" Piper and Buffy says.
Buffy and Piper dives on the bassinets and pushes them out of the beam's way. They land on the floor. Leo tackles one of the Hawkers and one of the other demons. Dawn comes running in as she powers up two energy balls, one in each hand, and sends them flying vanquishing the other Hawker and the other demon.
"Leo!" Paige says as Leo gets out of the way and Paige puts down a crystal near the other Hawker and the last demon creating a crystal cage. Both the Hawker and the demon scream and they are vanquished, leaving only a knife. "I guess I over charged it." She picks up the knife.
Dawn and Leo rush over to Buffy, Piper and the babies. Both babies cry.
"I got you, bub. You're alright." Piper says.
Buffy picks up Celia and gently rocks her, "It's ok my little pum'kin belly."
"How's my little buddy doing, huh?" Leo asks his son.
"I think we need a little bit of healing here." Piper says.
"Well, he looks fine to me." Leo says.
Piper shakes her head, "Not him, me." She looks down at her leg and falls back unconscious.
Buffy, Dawn, Paige and Leo look at the broken bone sticking out of Piper's leg. They wince at the sight.
Paige props Piper's head onto her lap.
Leo is about to heal Piper's leg. "Okay, now, easy, watch her head. Dawn would you hold her hands, we don't want her blowing anything up."
Dawn looks to Buffy who nods and she moves over to Piper and holds Piper's arms. "Ok."
Leo heals Piper's leg and Piper sits up quickly.
"Where's the baby?" Piper asks.
"It's alright, honey, he and Celia are both okay." Leo says.
"They knew about the force fields, they almost blew him and Celia out of the window." Buffy says.
Leo nods, "Yeah, but they didn't, and right now our concern is about Piper."
"Me? Why? I'm healed." Piper says.
"Yes, but the fact is that you needed to be healed, that's what I'm talking about." Leo says.
"Yeah, I guess I'm not so invincible anymore, huh?" Piper asks. "Which also means you likely aren't anymore either, Buffy."
"I figured that." Buffy says.
"Well, it makes sense since you both got the power from them and they're not inside either of you anymore." Dawn says.
"I was just hoping he would've left a little bit behind for mama and Celia would have left some for you Buffy." Leo says.
"Well, the theory did occur to me but neither Buffy nor I have had a chance to test it out." Piper says.
"This is serious, Piper. You need to learn how to be careful again now that you're vulnerable." Leo says. "As you do also, Buffy."
Piper sighs, "Buffy and I don't have the luxury of being careful now that half of demonville is after both of our babies."
"Um, what do you think about using the athame to scry for the demonic market? I mean, it makes sense that the Hawker demon got it there." Paige says.
"Yeah?" Buffy asks.
Paige nods, "We can disguise ourselves as demons, infiltrate the market and pretend that we know how to get the Charmed Ones' babies."
"It's a smart plan. Then we could find out what sicko is in the market to buy him." Piper says.
"Right, then we vanquish them, everyone they've ever met, and proceed with our original demon killing, message sending plan." Paige says.
"It's a very wordy, very good plan." Buffy says.
Leo nods, "Oh, it's a good idea to send the mother of my child and my niece into the hornets' nest because you overcharged the trap?"
"Oh, gee, one little mistake, man." Paige says.
"It's okay, she's right, we can go." Piper says.
"Right." Paige says as she gets up. "You sure you're okay to do this? How about you Buffy?"
Piper thinks for a moment. "No, I can't go."
Buffy looks at Dawn and sighs, "I think right now I would be better staying here trying to protect Celia and Piper and Leo's little boy."
Paige nods, "Okay, I'll just go check the Book of Shadows, see if I missed anything. They'll be okay. Dawn would you like to help me?"
"Sure." Dawn says as she gets up and follows Paige out of the room.
"I think it's time we called Phoebe." Piper says.
Buffy nods in agreement.
"I called her; she said she was on her way home. I'll call her again." Leo says as he gets up and goes to the phone.
"You're okay, little guy, we're not gonna let anybody steal you." Piper says.
Upstairs Paige comes out of Piper's room holding Piper's baby blanket with the triquetra symbol on it. Dawn comes out of hers and Buffy's room carrying a matching blanket.
Moments later Paige and Dawn are wearing tight short blue dresses and blonde wigs. They both hold a baby blanket.
"It's okay, Paige, it's okay. I fought fairytales earlier this year, you can do this, you can do this." Paige says.
"Well it can't be any worse than having a hell god after you." Dawn says.
Suddenly, an energy ball flies out of nowhere and hits Dawn and Paige in the chest. They fall flat on their faces. Two demon guards literally walk out of two trees.
"Lost, little girls?"
Dawn and Paige get up.
"You have a really messed up idea of customer service." Paige says.
"What?"
"We are dissatisfied customers." Dawn says as Paige pulls a knife out from under the blanket she's holding. "We bought this athame here at the market. It's supposed to flame. It doesn't. They got eighty-sixed, so we didn't even get a pay day."
"Who are you?"
"She told you, we are dissatisfied customers." Paige says as she stabs one of the guards in the stomach and vanquishes him. "See? No flame."
The other guard waves his arm and a portal-like door to the market appears between two trees. Dawn and Paige walks through into the market. The guard waves his arm again and closes the portal door.
At the Manor Buffy and Piper are with the babies when Leo orbs in with Phoebe.
"I don't understand. Why didn't you just orb for me when they wouldn't put me through?" Phoebe says as she rushes over to the bassinets.
"Because I didn't want to leave the house unless it was absolutely necessary." Leo says.
"Oh, right. Okay, so there was another kidnap attempt?" Phoebe asks as she reaches in to pick up Piper's baby but Piper stops her.
"Yes, shh." Piper and Buffy says as Piper, Buffy and Phoebe move away from the bassinets.
"I can't believe they didn't put you through." Phoebe says.
"They said you were in an important meeting and the boss said that you shouldn't be disturbed." Leo says.
"Unbelievable. And he says I have my priorities mixed up?" Phoebe says.
"Who?" Buffy asks.
"Jason Dean." Phoebe says.
"Jason." Leo says looking at Piper. "Jason Halli..."
Phoebe shakes her head, "Oh, don't even think about it, mister."
"Please tell me you didn't get fired." Piper says.
"No, I didn... I don't think I did." Phoebe says as both babies wake up and starts to cry. Both baby alarms go off. "What the hell is that?"
"Baby alarm." Buffy and Piper says.
"What?" Phoebe asks as she rushes over to the babies and picks Piper's son up. Buffy rushes over to Celia and picks her up. The alarm stops. "I know, so much excitement. What was that alerting us too exactly?"
"Demons, there's supposed to be demons in the house." Leo says.
"Look at that, they're not even crying. You both are so brave. You both are like little brave soldiers." Phoebe says to both babies.
"Maybe the alarm is faulty." Buffy says.
"Paige would know. Where is Paige? For that matter where is Dawn?" Piper says.
They walk upstairs into the attic.
"Oh my god, they're not here." Piper says.
"Okay, why is that an 'oh my god'?" Phoebe says.
Buffy and Piper puts their babies into the attic's bassinets.
"The scyring tools are out." Leo says.
Piper looks on the table. "The hand grenade potion is gone."
"Will someone please tell me what's going on here?" Phoebe says as Buffy picks up a piece of paper. "What is that, a spell?"
Buffy shakes her head, "No, it's a note. "Gone to market. Back soon.""
Phoebe smiles, "Okay, well, that's good news, right? They went to the market. Right?"
Buffy and Piper sighs.
At the Demonic Market, Dawn and Paige are walking down the busy street with a large demon.
"Come on, guys, this is top of the line. The power to throw fireballs twenty yards. Now let's hear a serious offer." Demon Saleswoman says.
"Now, if you need any powers, there's where to go." Large Demon says.
Paige laughs. "You're such a great tour guide."
They pass a demon selling tonics.
"Looking for that little something extra? You didn't become a demon to just stand on the sidelines. Now, watch and see what my permutonic can do for you." Demon Salesman says as he drinks the tonic and becomes a large muscular demon. The crowd is amazed.
Dawn, Paige and the large demon stop.
"I think up there's the guys you're looking for. The parasites." Large Demon says.
"Oh, parasites? Should we be frightened?" Dawn asks.
"Nah. They were bad-ass once but some witch cursed them, took away their powers. Pitiful little bastards. Even a couple girls like you could take them." Large Demon says.
"Oh, really? A couple girls like us? Then we might just have to. Well, thank you for the tour. I suppose you'll want your payment now." Paige says.
"You know I will." Large Demon says as he reaches for Paige.
"Fireball!" Paige says as a fireball orbs out of a demon woman's hand, which she was throwing up and down like a ball. It orbs into Paige's hand and she throws it at the Large Demon, vanquishing him.
"Hey!" Demon Woman says.
"Sorry, he was getting a little grabby." Dawn says as they head for a building ahead.
Inside the building the Parasite demons are feeding off a gypsy's powers as Dawn and Paige walks in.
"Excuse us. Anyone here interested in two Charmed One's offspring?" Paige says.
"Who are you two?" Parasite Demon #1 says.
"We are the reason you're not gonna need that food anymore, not after you hear what we have to say." Dawn says.
"The food is dead. You were saying?" Parasite Demon #2 says.
"Just that the Hawkers who hired us to grab the babies screwed up the job and got themselves dead. They didn't say who hired him but we heard it was you." Paige says.
"So what if it was?" Parasite Demon #2 asks.
"Don't get nervous. We're just here for the bounty. The offer still stands, right?" Dawn says.
"First, tell us why you two are still alive." Parasite Demon #1 says.
Paige looks to Dawn who nods, "We'll take that as a yes." She and Dawn pull out a couple grenade potions from behind the baby blankets and throw them at the Parasite Demons. They feed off the power from the explosion and then start to feed off Dawn and Paige. Their blonde wigs are blown off their heads and they fall to the floor.
In the attic Phoebe is scrying for the demonic market. "Come on, people, talk to me." The crystal points to a spot on the map. "Bingo. We have a location of the market."
"Yes." Piper says. "Anything on Paige and Dawn?"
"I can't sense them at all. But that doesn't mean we should panic. Their signal might be blocked by the magic of the marketplace." Leo says.
"Right, there's no reason to panic. I mean, both of our sisters went alone to demonville, they had no idea what or who they're up against, so there's no reason to panic, right?" Phoebe says.
"Phoebe, it was our fault. Piper or I should've gone with them." Buffy says.
"I would have gone with them had Paige or Dawn called me." Phoebe says.
"Well, I told them not to bother you 'cause you were trying to impress your new boss." Piper says.
"I was not trying to impress my boss, thank you." Phoebe says.
"You weren't? But this morning..." Leo says.
"We- I... Okay, maybe this morning I was trying to impress him but I'm not, so can we talk about anything but Jason Dean, please? Thank you very much." Phoebe says.
"Yeah, let's talk about how we're gonna find Paige and Dawn." Buffy says.
"Oh. Well, we're gonna write a spell that's gonna carry us to the market. Can I have some paper?" Phoebe says.
Piper picks up Paige's note and hands it to Phoebe. Phoebe gets a premonition. In the premonition, the Parasite Demons are sucking Paige and Dawn's power out of them. "Are you okay?"
Phoebe shakes her head, "No. It's time to panic."
"We don't have time to wait for a spell then." Buffy says. "One flame express coming up."
"Buffy." Leo says.
Buffy nods, "I know what you're thinking. But they shouldn't be able to tell when I flame compared to a demon since their similar powers."
Both baby alarms go off.
"Oh my god!" Piper says.
"Oh my goddess!" Buffy says.
At the Demon Market inside the Parasite's building Dawn and Paige are tied to a table. The Parasite Demons stand beside them.
"I say we suck them dry, nice and slow." Parasite Demon #2 says.
"Tempting, but..." Parasite Demon #1 says.
"But what? You forget that is was one of their kind that cursed us to this life?" Parasite Demon #2 says.
"Please..." Paige and Dawn say.
"Say we kill them, get revenge on yet another witch. Then what? We're still parasites. Nothing will have changed." Parasite Demon #1 says.
"They'll be dead. That's change." Parasite Demon #2 says.
"We'll still be bound to this trivial existence. Think about it. They both are Charmed Ones, their sisters will sense them if we keep them alive. And then they will come for them." Parasite Demon #1 says.
"Then when they do, both infants will be left vulnerable." Parasite Demon #2 says.
"No..." Paige and Dawn say.
In the Attic Buffy is holding Celia and Piper is holding her baby as Leo walks in.
"Anything?" Piper and Buffy asks.
Leo shakes his head, "Unless they're invisible, there are no demons in the house."
"Then why does the alarm keep going off?" Piper asks.
"We'd have to ask Paige." Leo says.
"Oh, we'd better hurry because from what I saw, she and Dawn don't have a lot of time." Phoebe says.
"You want me to leave Celia and Piper to leave her baby when the alarm designed to sense evil is going off every ten minutes?" Buffy says.
"Believe me, Buffy, I don't wanna leave the babies either, but the alarm is broken, there is no evil in this house." Phoebe says.
"But we've gone up against invisible demons before, you know, demons that morph into lamps, lamps that morph into demons, demons in the walls." Piper says.
"But don't you think if they were here they'd be attacking the baby by now?" Phoebe says as both babies gurgles and smiles at their mothers. "Oh, look at them, they're smiling! Oh, you both are so brave."
"He's smiling?" Leo asks.
"Either that or they both have gas." Phoebe says.
Leo gets an idea. "Buffy, Piper, put them down."
"What?" Buffy and Piper asks.
"They were crying when the demons attacked." Leo says.
"So?" Piper says.
"So just put them down a minute and come over here. You too, Phoebe." Leo says.
"Why?" Phoebe asks.
"Trust me." Leo says.
"Okay." Buffy says as she and Piper puts the babies into the bassinets and walks away. "What are we doing?"
"Just wait." Leo says.
"For what?" Phoebe asks.
Both baby alarms go off as Buffy, Piper and Phoebe race over to the babies.
"That's what." Leo says.
"I don't get it." Phoebe says.
"They're doing it; they're both using their powers to set off the alarms." Leo says.
"Because they've both figured out when it goes off, that we'll come running." Piper says.
"Oh you're a smart girl, Celia. Yes you are." Buffy says.
Phoebe nods, "They're just trying to get attention. They're geniuses." She looks at Piper's baby. "Oh, you're a genius!"
Leo smiles looking at his son, "That's my boy, using your powers."
"Are you two trying to give your mommies a heart attack? Is that what you're trying to do?" Piper says.
"So I guess it's safe to say you can go help Paige." Leo says.
"Right." Piper says.
"Are you two gonna be okay?" Phoebe asks.
Piper nods, "Yeah, okay. Grab some potions. Because if we're going to that market and leaving them here, we're not taking any prisoners. Right, Buffy?"
"Right, Piper." Buffy says.
"Well, just be careful." Leo says.
"I will." Piper and Buffy says.
Leo nods, "You're both not invincible anymore."
"We know. It's just so hard to leave." Piper says as Phoebe hugs Piper's son's bassinet. "So hard to make Phoebe leave."
"Well, just make sure you come back." Leo says.
"You take care of him. I mean, one hair out of place on the head, you and me, issues." Piper says.
Leo nods, "I will. At the first sign of trouble I will orb him and Celia out."
"You sure you don't mind watching Celia, too? I could get Willow to come over and watch her." Buffy says.
Leo smiles, "I'm sure. She's my niece after all."
"Okay. Phoebe, here we go, here we go." Piper says as she and Phoebe take Buffy's hands and they flame out of the manor and into the woods.
An energy ball comes out of nowhere and flies past them. The Demon Guard literally walks out of a tree.
"Where's the market?" Phoebe asks.
"Who are you?" Guard asks.
"We're the mothers." Buffy says as Piper tries to blow up the demon and he goes flying through the market door. They stand in front of the door, looking in on a crowd of demons. "Which one of you dirtbags put the bounty on my baby and my nephew?
A demon in the crowd throws a stream of fire towards the girls. Piper blows it up and then blows the demon up.
Inside the building screams and explosions are heard. Parasite Demon #1 looks out the window as Buffy and Piper makes their way through the crowd, vanquishing everyone in their way. Buffy, Piper and Phoebe head for the building.
"They're here." Parasite Demon #1 says
Parasite Demon #2 nods, "It's baby time."
They disappear.
Buffy, Piper and Phoebe walk in.
"Where are they?" Phoebe asks.
"Piper." Paige says.
"Buffy." Dawn says.
"I know you two are very happy to see us." Piper says.
"The babies." Paige and Dawn say.
"They're fine, they're with Leo." Buffy says.
"The Parasites, they'll absorb Leo's power." Paige says.
They untie Paige and Dawn.
"What? Can you orb? Dawn can you shimmer?" Piper says.
"No. No, they took our powers away." Dawn says.
Buffy sighs as they help Paige and Dawn up. "One flame express coming up. Make sure you guys have a good hold on Paige and Dawn."
Piper picks up both baby blankets. "These are ours." She hands them to Paige and as Buffy flames them out, Paige drops one of the blankets.
In the Parlor the Parasite Demons are sucking the power out of the babies.
"Do you feel the power?" Parasite Demon #1 says.
Parasite Demon #2 nods, "It's fantastic. But how will we get them out of here?"
"Keep draining the magic. Their force fields will falter and then they'll be ours." Parasite Demon #1 says.
Leo wakes up and gets up. He grabs a lamp and smashes it over them. He weakly kneels beside the bassinets. The Parasite Demons continue to suck their powers.
In the attic Buffy, Dawn, Piper, Phoebe and Paige flame in. Buffy, Piper and Phoebe sit Dawn and Paige down on the couch.
"Go. Don't let them put their hands on you." Paige says.
"No!" Leo shouts from downstairs.
Buffy, Piper and Phoebe run down the stairs. Piper blows up Parasite #1. The other one disappears.
"He got away." Piper says.
"It's okay, let him go." Phoebe says.
Buffy shakes her head, "Piper said no prisoners. And I agree with her."
"Are you okay?" Piper asks Leo.
Leo nods, "Yeah."
"Then we're going back." Piper and Buffy says.
At the Market in the Parasite's building; Buffy, Piper and Phoebe walk in.
"And I enjoy using them." Crone says as she points her fingers at the Parasite Demon and a tunnel of sand surrounds him. He screams out and turns to dust. Crone turns to Piper and Phoebe. "Both of your sister's powers have been restored."
"Who are you?" Phoebe asks.
"I represent those in power. Rest assured a law will be passed forbidding any further attempts on either of your children." Crone says.
"Why? What do you stand to gain?" Piper asks.
"Nothing. You have proven that the costs of a war will far outweigh the benefits. Consider this our white flag." Crone says as she hands them the baby blanket that Paige dropped. "Now I suggest you rest well and preserve your energies. From what I've foreseen you're going to need them." She disappears.
"Way to send a message, warrior moms!" Phoebe says.
Buffy shakes her head, "I don't know about that."
"You didn't believe her?" Phoebe asks.
"Well, partially, but I think this had more to do with Celia and him than anything we did." Buffy says.
"What do you think she foresaw?" Phoebe asks.
"I wish I knew." Buffy and Piper says.
Back at the Manor; Buffy, Dawn, Piper, Phoebe, Paige and Leo are standing around the bassinets. Phoebe has her head in Piper's son's bassinet making baby voices. Dawn holds Celia in her arms.
"Oh, I could eat you! Yes, I could! Yes, I could." Phoebe says.
"Pheebs, after the demonic Parasites that did actually kinda wanna eat him and Celia, not so cute." Buffy says.
Phoebe nods, "Gotcha. Ooh, I could smush you! Ooh, I could just smush your little face! Ooh, la, la, la, la."
Dawn rolls her eyes, "Much better."
"Is that his new name? Smush-face Halliwell?" Paige asks.
"It's about as good as everything else we've come up with." Leo says.
"No new ideas, huh?" Buffy asks.
"Actually..." Piper says.
"Uh, no, you know, we've been so busy with the alarm and the demon fighting and the sister saving." Leo says.
"I'm sorry." Paige and Dawn says.
"Oh, don't be sorry, Paige… Dawnie. You two were brave and you inspired me and Buffy to fight and you both made the world a safer place for our babies. So I decided to take a page out of Buffy's book and break family tradition. I would like to give the baby the middle name of Matthew, in honor of his super protective Aunt Paige." Piper says.
"I think that's a great idea." Buffy says.
"What do you think?" Piper asks.
"Yeah." Leo says.
Paige smiles, "Thanks."
"And I also have an idea for his first name. Wyatt. In honor of his very protective daddy." Leo says.
"Really? Well, it doesn't start with a P." Leo says.
Piper smiles, "Ah, so like Buffy did with Celia we break the tradition."
Phoebe picks up Wyatt. "Happy baby. Why don't we ask him? W- That's probably your job." She hands Wyatt to Piper.
Piper smiles, "Wyatt Matthew Halliwell. Is that your name? What do you think? It's a good one."
"Hey, Buffy did you ever decide who would be Celia's godmother?" Phoebe asks.
Buffy nods, "It was a hard decision but yeah I finally did decide. I decided to go with a very protective aunt for Celia's godmother… Dawn."
"Really?" Dawn asks smiling.
Buffy smiles, "Yes."
