Author's Notes - I found an interesting challenge on TTH. You all probably seen some stories where Mary Winchester of Supernatural is reincarnated as Buffy. The Challenge I found it the same deal. Except instead of Mary Winchester it would be Patty Halliwell from Charmed. I'm thinking of trying my hand at doing it.
Chapter 137: Oh My Goddess Pt. 1
Buffy is standing at the front door staring at Giles. Giles goes straight to Buffy. They hug. She holds him tight.
"My God, Buffy. You're alive. You're here. And you're still ..." Giles says, strained. "Remarkably strong."
"Huh? Oh. Sorry." Buffy says as she backs off. Then hugs him again, just as tight.
"Piper told me, but I didn't really let myself believe ..." Giles says.
Buffy nods, "I take some getting used to. I'm still getting used to me."
"It's ... you're a ..." Giles says.
"A miracle?" Buffy asks.
Giles nods, "Yes. But then, I've always thought so."
They move into the living room and sit down.
"So ..." Giles says as they just look at each other, smile.
"I can start. How was England?" Buffy says. "How was life?"
"I'm not sure how to answer that. I arrived home. Met with the council." Giles says.
Buffy nods, "Tons of fun."
Giles nods, "Other than that, there wasn't much to report. I keep a flat in Bath. Saw a few old friends and almost made a new one, which I believe is statistically impossible for a man my age."
"And now you're back." Buffy says.
Giles nods, "Yes."
"Wow. Giles, are you miserable about it, or just really British?" Buffy asks.
"I can't lie to you, Buffy. It was difficult leaving San Francisco. And coming back was..." Giles says.
"I'm guessing the word is 'inconvenient.'" Buffy says.
"You know that doesn't matter." Giles says as he gazes at Buffy. "And how are you? Really. You look tired."
"Me? Nah. Fine." Buffy says. "I mean, yeah, sleeping's hard, but just because of that whole waking up in a box thing. So maybe it's waking up that's the problem. But only for a second. I sleep okay. Great even, except, you know ... for the dreams ..." She trails off, looks away, haunted.
Giles gently reaches out to put his hands on her shoulders. "You seem to be doing remarkably well under extreme circumstances. I'm proud of you."
"Well, actually, it wasn't me. Willow brought me back. I just lay there." Buffy says.
"Yes. I only meant-" Giles says.
"I know what you meant. Just a little post post-mortem comedy..." Buffy says.
Later Buffy has gone with Dawn to take Celia to the park. Willow walks into the Manor to find Piper and Giles waiting for her.
"Hey Giles." Willow says. "Hey Piper."
Piper closes the door. Giles looks a bit grim.
"You have a good talk with Buffy?" Willow asks Giles.
Giles nods, "Yes, now that she's back."
"Isn't it awesome?" Willow asks.
Piper shakes her head, "Willow tell us about the spell you performed."
"Okay. First of all - so scary." Willow says, excited. "Like, the Blair Witch would have had to watch like this." She covers her eyes. "And this giant snake came out my mouth and then there was all this energy crackling and then this pack of demons interrupted but I totally kept it together and the next thing you know ... Buffy."
"You're a very stupid girl." Giles says.
Willow blinks, re-grouping ... "What? Giles ..."
"I have to agree, Willow." Piper says.
Giles nods, "Not only was what you did a personal gain spell. But do you have any idea what you've done? The forces you've harnessed? The lines you've crossed?"
"I thought you'd be ..." Willow swallows. "...impressed, or something."
Giles shakes his head, "Oh, don't worry, you've made a deep impression. Of everyone here – besides Piper and her sisters, you were the one I trusted most to respect the forces of nature."
"Willow there is a reason witches swore an oath not to do exactly what you did." Piper says.
"Are you saying you both don't trust me?" Willow says.
"Think what you've done to Buffy." Giles says.
"I brought her back!" Willow says.
Giles shakes his head, "At incredible risk."
"Risk? Of what? Making her deader?" Willow asks.
"Killing us all. Unleashing a hell on Earth. Shall I go on?" Giles says.
"No! Giles, I did what I had to do. I did what nobody else could or would do." Willow says.
"Oh, there are others in the world who can do what you did. Piper and her sisters likely have the power to do it and they know better than to mess with personal gain spells."
"I brought Buffy back to the world and maybe the word you should be looking for is 'congratulations.'" Willow says.
"Having Buffy back in the world makes me feel indescribably wonderful…" Giles says.
"Phoebe, Paige, Dawn and I are happy Buffy is back also."
"But I wouldn't congratulate you if you jumped off a cliff and happened to survive." Giles says.
"That's not what I did, Giles! Piper!" Willow says.
Giles nods, "You were lucky."
"I wasn't lucky, I was amazing. How would you know anyway? You weren't even there." Willow says.
"I was, Willow." Piper says. "But you didn't even come to me, Phoebe, Paige or even Dawn to ask our opinions on this. You have know idea where Buffy was really at. Willow what if she was in heaven not hell?"
"But she wasn't." Willow said.
Piper shakes her head as she sighs, "We don't know that Willow. We don't know where she was."
"And I'm far from convinced she's come out of all this undamaged." Giles says.
The next day Dawn, Piper and Phoebe are in the conservatory.
"So what are we doing about Willow?" Dawn asked.
"I don't know." Piper said. "It worries me that she has cast personal gain spells not once but twice in the last two years."
Phoebe gets up to open the doors to the backyard. "Should we be considering binding her powers?"
Piper shrugs, "I don't know."
"With the love that is everything good and pure, why have we nEvar bothered to get air conditioning?" Phoebe said.
Piper smiles, "Because we live in San Francisco where the temperature rarely goes above 75º."
"Okay, well, it's at 90º now, can we get one today, please?" Phoebe asks.
"Yeah, we could if it was not for this little expenditure here." Piper says handing Phoebe the phone bill.
"Uh-oh. Yeah, that's a lot of phone calls to Hong Kong." Phoebe says looking the bill over.
Dawn shook her head, "Between all the baby stuff and the phone bill. It's a wonder we can even afford electricity."
Piper nods, "Yes, it is."
"Okay, before you start yelling, let me just explain to you I'm trying to figure out where Jason and I stand, and to do that it requires a lot of phone calls. You're gonna throw that glass at me, aren't you?" Phoebe says.
Piper shakes her head, "No, honey, I get it. You know, it is a very big phone bill, but if you have to choose between true love and air conditioning, I'd say it's a no brainer."
"Who are you and what have you done to my sister?" Phoebe asks.
"What? She can't be in a good mood?" Dawn asks. "Especially with Buffy back and all."
"Not that I'm not happy to have Buffy back and all. But Mary Poppins wouldn't be in a good mood in this kind of heat." Phoebe says.
"Well, Wyatt and Celia are finally sleeping through the night and my hormones are back in wack and, you know, Leo and I are finally..." Piper says.
"Back in the saddle." Phoebe says.
Dawn rolls her eyes. Not that the sex talk phases her anymore. She remembers when she and Buffy had first moved into the Manor there had been talk about Prue's sex life in regards to Andy. Oh how she missed Prue.
"So to speak." Piper says.
"Yay you. God I miss sex." Phoebe says.
Piper looks at Dawn who smiles before she looks back at Phoebe, "I gotta tell you, life is feeling pretty damn good at the moment."
"So where is your lucky husband, my perfect nephew and niece and our sister?" Phoebe asked.
"They are shopping for a present for Darryl's son." Piper said. "I made Leo take Buffy. Get her out of the house. I don't know if it's the memory of being in hell that still plagues her or what. I can tell she's putting on a brave face for us."
Phoebe sighs and nods, "I know. I've seen it too. She seems to want everything to go back to normal but it's like she's not sure how to do it. How are we going to fix the exposure problem, Willow caused though? Didn't we file a death certificate for Buffy?"
"Yes we did." Dawn says. "I had to show it at school so they could put Piper down as my legal guardian."
Piper sighs, "I don't know. The University has it also on file as well. I had to give it to them so we could get Buffy's tuition back for this semester. We'll think of something I'm sure. Hopefully something normal will pop up that explains it."
Paige walks in to the conservatory right at that moment. "There is nothing normal about this heat."
"Good morning, sunshine." Phoebe says.
"Oh, save the quips and pass the caffeine. I have work to do." Paige says.
Phoebe hands Paige a glass of iced tea.
"What are you gonna do? Scry for mother nature and have a wiccan word with her?" Piper says.
"Okay, you're way too perky, alright, and you're frightening me. I'm just saying." Paige says.
"So you think this weather is demonic?" Dawn asks.
Paige shrugs, "I don't know, there's just something weird. I keep waking up all week long with these fiery dreams. What am I supposed to think?"
"Uh-oh, you're not getting like a god complex or something, are you? 'Cause, you know, they've got medication for that." Piper says.
Paige shakes her head, "I didn't say my dreams caused it, I'm just... I don't know what I'm saying."
"Honey, maybe you need to get out of the house a little more." Phoebe says.
Paige sighs, "Well, this isn't just me being obsessive... okay, maybe a little bit. But it's not just psychological or emotional, I really, really think there's something..."
"Magical." Dawn says, nodding.
Paige nods, "Yeah, for lack of a better term. Listen, I don't wanna be a downer but I'm gonna go hit the books so I can go figure out what the hell is going on." She leaves the room.)
"Should we be worried?" Phoebe asks.
Piper shakes her head, "I don't think so. Especially when we already got stuff to worry about."
Phoebe sighs and nods, "Buffy."
"Yeah," Piper says.
Later that day at a park there is a birthday party going on. Buffy, Dawn, Piper and Leo are sitting on chairs with Wyatt and Celia beside them in their strollers. Darryl is cooking some sausages on the barbeque.
Darryl's son, Eli, runs up to him. "Daddy! Daddy! Show us your trick!"
"Trick? I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about." Darryl kneels down in front of Eli. "Hold on a second, wait, you have something in your ear."
Eli smiles, "I do?" Darryl reaches behind his son's ear and pulls out a coin. "Yeah!" He gives Darryl a hug before running off.
"You call that magic?" Leo laughs.
Piper playfully hits Leo on the arm.
Buffy rolls her eyes.
Darryl's wife, Sheila, walks over to them. "Okay, who wants hot dogs?"
Leo puts his arm around Piper and they cuddle happily.
"Let me guess. First time both babies slept all night, huh?" Darryl asks.
"How'd you know?" Dawn asks.
Buffy looks at Celia, she isn't really paying attention to anything."
"First few months after my kid was born was rough, you know. No sleep, no time for each other." Darryl says.
"Sounds familiar." Leo says.
Sheila nods, "Yeah, but right about three, four months, things started to level off. Really good again."
"'Til they hit two." Darryl says.
Dawn rolls her eyes.
"Oh, don't scare them." Sheila says.
Dawn nods, "Yeah don't scare us, Darryl."
The Elders call Leo.
"Uh, Piper, Buffy, Dawn, I have to go." Leo says.
"But we just got here." Piper says.
Leo nods, "I know, baby, but it's the Elders."
Piper looks at Darryl.
"Don't worry, she knows." Darryl says.
Buffy lets out a sigh, "Everything?"
Darryl nods, "That you were well…" Buffy nods. "Yes. I asked if she could think of any way out of your predicament. Sorry no luck other than to think of the movie Cast Away."
Sheila looks to Piper and Leo, "Ah, secret's safe with me. Argue away."
Buffy nods, "Cast Away, Tom Hanks movie right? With him stranded on a deserted island?"
"Honey, I'm sorry, but it sounds urgent." Leo says.
Dawn nods, "That's the one, Buffy."
"Okay, well, then I need to express to you that this is going to make me feel a little abandoned." Piper says.
Leo smiles, "Alright, well, I understand, I acknowledge your feelings and I want to let you know that I love you, even though I have to go."
Darryl laughs.
"Darryl, stop." Sheila says.
"What's so funny?" Piper asks.
"Nothing, um, just marriage counselling, huh?" Darryl says.
"Honey, we did it too. We recognise the tools." Sheila says.
"I think I hate the tools. I'd rather just snipe later than be honest and open about my feelings now." Piper says.
Buffy rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, we felt the same way." Darryl says.
"But you know what? Turns out the tools really helped." Sheila says, smiling.
"Piper, I have to go." Leo says.
Piper nods, "Fine, go. I mean, thank you for considering my feelings and I love you and I will see you later at home."
Leo kisses Piper, "Okay." He then turns and leaves.
"Very good." Sheila says.
Later back at the Manor in the attic Phoebe has a blanket wrapped around her and she is shivering. Buffy sits on the couch looking at Celia.
Piper walks in carrying a box followed by Dawn. "Okay, I know it's cooled off a little bit since this morning but what are you doing?"
"Defrosting." Phoebe says.
"Is this them?" Paige asks
Phoebe looks at the Charmed Book of Shadows and shakes her head, "No."
"Who's them?" Buffy asks as she looks from Celia to Paige.
"We're not sure yet. How was the party?" Phoebe says.
"Oh, just super fun. Leo got called away and I got to use my tools." Piper says.
Buffy shrugs, "It was fine."
"What?" Phoebe asks.
"Is that them?" Paige says showing Phoebe another page.
Phoebe shakes her head, "No, they looked a little bit more... ancient."
"Will someone please tell us what's going on?" Piper asks.
Leo orbs in. "Ah, a Whitelighter's disappeared."
"A Whitelighter? Like from a Darklighter?" Dawn asks.
Leo shakes his head, "No, a Darklighter's poison is slow and painful, this was more instantaneous and the Elders have no idea what it could have been."
Paige nods, "It's all connected."
"What's connected?" Buffy asks.
"Whatever it is that escaped from the ice cave." Paige says.
"You were in an ice cave?" Leo asks.
"Heat wave, earthquake, my dreams, this is way bigger than any one Whitelighter." Paige says.
"I'd better drop out of that charity benefit." Phoebe says.
"Yeah, maybe we should cancel counselling, honey." Leo says.
Piper shakes her head, "Hold it, wait a minute, no. This is exactly what we're supposed to be learning in therapy. When to put our lives on hold and when not to."
"But Piper, a Whitelighter was killed." Dawn says.
Piper shakes her head, "We don't know that. He could've just clipped his wings and he's in hiding."
"Is that possible?" Buffy asks.
Leo nods, "Yeah, I guess."
"Look, people, we just need to manage our lives our little bit better. Dr. Berenson says that needless worry and panic serve absolute no purpose except to prEvant the possibility of happiness." Piper says.
"I am all for the possibility of happiness." Phoebe says.
Buffy lets out a sigh and then nods.
"Good, so we need to address the immediate the problem at hand and circle the wagons only when we have to." Piper says.
"Okay, Leo, maybe you should get the Elders to put a ban on Whitelighters orbing until we figure out exactly what's going on." Paige says.
Leo nods, "Okay, I'll meet you in therapy."
"Okay, don't be late. Is it safe for you to orb up there right now?" Piper says.
Leo smiles, "Yeah, no worrying remember?" He kisses Piper and orbs out.
That night in a park a stone statue is there. A witch is unconscious on the ground with a wound on her forehead. Meta is standing nearby.
A woman Whitelighter orbs in. "Krista!"
Meta smiles, "It's about time you came to heal your charge."
Woman Whitelighter frowns, "Who are you? What do you want?"
"A Whitelighter." Meta's eyes glow and turns the Whitelighter into stone.
At the Manor Dawn and Paige are in the attic looking at the Titans page in both Book of Shadows.
"Phoebe! Hey, Phoebe!" Paige says.
Phoebe runs in. "Did you find something?"
"Do Titans ring a bell?" Dawn asks.
Phoebe frowns, "Titans like from Ancient Greece? You have got to be kidding me."
"No, ancient gods who were entombed because it was the only way to stop them." Paige says.
"Okay, well, Evan if it is them, how'd they get out? And why go after the Whitelighters? And are we talking about gods like glory or gods like Osiris?" Phoebe says.
"Probably more gods like Osiris." Dawn said. "These are not gods from other dimensions but gods from out own. Doesn't mean they are any less dangerous than Glory though."
"We don't know why they might need a Whitelighter. Maybe one of them was hurt maybe they needed healing powers? I do know that because of the Elders' no orbing edict, that the only way they're gonna get another Whitelighter is if one..." Paige says.
Phoebe shakes hers head, "Oh, no way, Paige, forget about it."
"I have to agree, Paige." Dawn says.
"Why not? If I'm right, they will come right to us." Paige says.
"And you're saying this like it's a good thing?" Phoebe says.
Paige nods, "It is. This is why I haven't been sleeping. This is what I've been preparing for all year. I have got potions here that are stronger than the ones that we used on the Source."
Dawn shakes her head, "Okay, devil's advocate, until we figure out how powerful they are, we shouldn't use you as bait."
Phoebe nods, "I agree with Dawn."
"Witch's advocate, there are evil gods running around on the loose that we should eliminate before Wyatt and Celia gets home." Paige says.
"Yeah and if their as strong as Glory. How do you expect to vanquish them?" Dawn asks.
Phoebe shakes her head, "Mm, that's dirty. Why do I feel like you're making me choose between my sister and my niece and nephew?"
"Because you're slightly overdramatic?" Paige says.
"I'm a little overdramatic?" Phoebe says.
"Well, can we just do this please?" Paige asks.
Dawn and Phoebe sighs.
"Okay, fine. Bring on the earthquake causing gods." Phoebe says.
"But if their like Glory don't come crying to us when you die. You remember what happened last time we faced a god… Buffy died." Dawn said.
Paige sighs and nods, "Duly noted, Dawnie. Watch this." She orbs out and orbs back in.
They hear a rumble and Meta appears. Paige throws a potion at her. Meta's eyes glow. Dawn and Phoebe throws another potion at Meta but nothing happens. Meta uses her power and sends Dawn and Phoebe flying across the room. Suddenly, a 20-year-old guy orbs in in front of Dawn and Phoebe.
"Don't look into her eyes!" The guy throws three potions at Meta but doesn't harm her. Meta disappears. The guy helps Phoebe and Dawn up. "Are you alright?"
Dawn and Phoebe looks over at Paige who has turned to stone.
"Oh my god, Paige." Phoebe says and then looks at Dawn. "Looks like you were right."
"Don't worry, she's alright." Dawn and Phoebe gives him a look. "Well, I mean, she's not completely alright, obviously, but she's not dead."
"Are you sure she's not?" Dawn asks.
Guy nods, "Frankly, you see this a lot. Museums, universities, town centres... Most of those statues, not really statues. They're people like your cousin…" Dawn rolls her eyes "…here who have been, uh, turned into stone."
"Who are you?" Phoebe asks.
"Chris. Chris Perry. I'm from the future."
Buffy and Piper walks in.
"Oh! My god, tell me that's just a really good likeness of Paige." Piper says.
Dawn shakes her head, "Oh, it's Paige."
"Titan turned her to stone." Chris said.
Buffy frowns as she looks at Chris, "Who are you?"
"That's Chris. He's from the future." Phoebe says.
Chris nods, "Yeah, but just like twenty years or so."
"Uh-huh. Friend or foe?" Piper says looking to Dawn and Phoebe.
"Not so sure yet." Dawn says.
"What do you mean? I saved Paige, didn't I?" Chris says.
"Oh, you call that saving, do you?" Phoebe says.
Chris sighs, "Hey, I'm the one that put my life on the line here. I didn't have to drop everything I was doing just to orb in and save her butt..."
"You orb? You're a Whitelighter?" Buffy says as she has a flash, she's talking to an Elder. Just as quickly as the flash happens it is gone. She shakes her head.
"Look, where I come from, history shows Paige didn't get turned into stone on this day... she died. And with her death the power of five died too, allowing Titans to rule and create a world you don't wanna see, trust me. I'm hear to alter history. To help you save the future." Chris says.
"Who sent you?" Dawn asks.
"I can't answer that." Chris says.
"Why not?" Dawn asks.
"Because anything I tell you could risk changing the future in ways we don't want." Chris says.
"Who's we?" Piper asks.
"All I gotta say is, is that if I hadn't got here when I did, Paige would have been the third Whitelighter victim." Chris says.
"Wait, third? I thought only one was missing?" Phoebe asks.
Chris shakes his head, "Not anymore."
"Leo! Leo!" Piper calls out.
Leo orbs in. "Honey, I'm sorry I missed counselling but..."
"Forget that, we've got bigger problems." Piper says.
Leo looks at the Paige statue, "What happened?"
"Forget that too. How many Whitelighters are missing?" Piper asks.
"What?" Leo asks.
"She said how many?" Buffy says.
"Uh, two. That's what the Elders just called me for." Leo says.
Chris nods, "Believe me now?"
"Who's he?" Leo asks.
They hear a crash coming from downstairs.
"What was that?" Dawn asks.
Buffy, Dawn, Piper, Phoebe and Leo walk downstairs. A fairy flies past them as they look down into the parlor where there are dwarves, leprechauns, wood nymphs, elf nanny and other creatures.
"Sorry, we'll pay for that. (He points to the broken vase on the floor.) So long as you can keep the world from ending." Dwarf says.
Piper and Leo herd everyone into the conservatory. "Come on, come on, prance this way. Here we go. Here we go. Move it, move it, move it. Today." Piper says.
"Hey, quit manhandling us. We're not your pets." Dwarf says.
Piper shakes her head, "No, you're just a pain. Now, go on. And don't let the neighbors see you."
A muscly man wearing no shirt, holding a crystal ball walks into the conservatory.
"Whoa, check out the size of that Oracle's... ball." Phoebe says.
Piper closes the conservatory doors. "Phoebe, focus." She gasps. She has the fairy stuck in the door. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." She opens the door and the fairy flies away. "Stay away from those windows." She steps into the parlor. "What the hell is going on around here?"
The Elf nanny walks in, holding onto a drumstick. "If you haven't noticed, the world's a mess out there. Something terrible's going on. Everyone senses it."
"The Titans?" Buffy asks.
Leo nods, "Must be."
"So you guys just all came here figuring that we would stop them?" Piper asks.
Elf Nanny nods, "Well, you are the Charmed Ones, aren't you?" Celia and Wyatt cries from upstairs. "Do you always leave the little ones unattended?"
"No!" Dawn, Phoebe and Piper says.
"Well, it just sounds like they need to be changed. I'll take care of it." Elf Nanny says and she turns for the stairs.
"Hold it! You are not the nanny. Buffy and I rejected you." Piper says.
Elf Nanny shakes her head, "No, I rejected you. But I suppose I can fill in, just for a bit." She faces the stairs and disappears.
"Did she just hire herself?" Dawn asks.
Piper looks to Leo and Dawn, "Go watch her."
"What about the Elders? I need to let them know the Titans are back." Leo says.
"Can't Chris tell them? I mean, he's a Whitelighter, isn't he?" Phoebe asks.
"Wait a minute. Where is he?" Piper says.
"Upstairs with Paige." Buffy says.
"And the book." Leo says.
Piper looks to Leo and Dawn, "Alright, you two, to the Elf." Leo and Dawn goes upstairs. She looks to Phoebe, "You keep an eye on our magical house guests. Herd them into the basement or something. Buffy and I are gonna go see what future boy is up to."
Upstairs Chris is flipping through the Charmed Book of Shadows as Buffy and Piper walks in.
"What are you doing?" Piper asks.
"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm trying to find a way to free stone-cold Paige over here." Chris says.
"Step away." Buffy says.
"Please, like I haven't looked in this before. By the way, you should update your goblins entry. It'll come in handy some day." Chris says.
"Goblins?" Piper asks.
Chris nods, "Yeah, trust me. It's gonna get ugly. Look, obviously you don't trust me, but I touched the book, right? And the book thinks I'm good. Shouldn't you?"
"Well, maybe you found a way around that." Piper says.
"Yeah its not like evil hasn't managed to get their hands on the books before." Buffy says.
"Buffy…" Chris says.
"Payson." Buffy says. "Only family and friends call me Buffy and your neither."
Chris sighs and nods as he remembers this was just after Willow returned Buffy from the dead. So he has to make allowance for that, "Payson, Piper, come on. I'm just trying to help."
"Well, then if that's true, why don't you tell us how to vanquish the Titans?" Chris says.
"Except you can't vanquish them." Chris says. "And their not like Glory. Glory as you know had a weakness, the Titans don't."
"You mean, not without the power of five." Piper says.
Chris shakes his head, "Maybe not even with that. The only way the Elders could stop them three thousand years ago was by infusing some mortals with a hell of a lot of power. Way more than you guys have."
"So they can do that again." Piper says before looking at Buffy. "Wish they had done that with Glory."
Buffy nods.
"Not after what happened last time. When the mortals trapped the Titans, the power went to their heads. They declared themselves gods and forced the world to worship them. The Elders swore they would never allow that to happen again."
Piper sighs, "First Glory then Osiris and now the greek gods. Wait the greek gods were mortals?"
Chris nods, "Mythology left that part out. Not the only inaccuracy by the way. Now the Egyptian gods like Osiris were real gods. They were the predecessors to the Elders and the Titans."
Phoebe, the dwarf and Finnegan the Leprechaun walk in.
"Phoebe, what are you doing? You're supposed to be..." Piper says.
Phoebe nods, "I know, I know. But I thought they could help us free Paige. After all, a leprechaun's luck has helped us before." She pats the dwarf on the shoulder.
"He's the leprechaun, I'm one of the seven dwarves. Try to keep it straight, will you?" Dwarf says.
"Sorry." Phoebe says.
Finnegan walks over to the statue. "It's gonna take a lot more than just me luck to free this one. We're gonna need some pixie dust too. Might now have a Slayer help out also."
"I can go flame Faith here." Buffy says.
"I'll get a fairy. Left my axe downstairs anyway." Dwarf says.
"Buffy." Piper says.
"I'm kidding." Buffy says though it's obvious she wasn't.
The dwarf leaves the attic.
"Okay, so where are we?" Phoebe asks.
"Screwed. Possibly. One thing I'm still not clear about. If the Titans are roaming around, why are they killing Whitelighters?" Piper says.
"Because they need their orbing power." Chris says.
"Their orbing power? What on earth would they wanna do with... oh my god. Leo!" Piper says as she races out of the attic.
"What'd we miss?" Buffy asks.
"What did she just figure out?" Phoebe asks.
Chris shakes his head, "Nothing good."
In the nursery Dawn, Leo and the Elf Nanny are watching a crying Wyatt in his bassinet. She uses her magic and a blanket appears wrapped around Wyatt.
"How'd you know he was cold?" Leo asks.
Elf Nanny smiles, "Babies are what I do."
Piper races in. "Leo? The Titans are after the Elders."
"What?" Dawn asks.
"You have to go warn them but don't stay up there too long. Hurry." Piper says as she looks to Leo.
Leo orbs out. Piper looks down at Wyatt and smiles slightly.
In the heavens Leo orbs in and sees the Elders' bodies lying dead on the floor. There are black scorch marks Evarywhere. Leo sees Cecil's body near by. "No." He falls to his knees.
In the attic the fairy throws magic dust on the Paige statue and Finnegan holds out his gold nugget, hitting the statue with good luck.
"Now, laddies!" Finnegan says.
The dwarf hits the statue with his pick as Buffy throws a fireball at it but nothing happens.
"Don't know what else to try." Dwarf says.
Finnegan nods, "Running out of gold too, I'm afraid."
"Okay, well, there's gotta be something we can do. Just keep trying." Phoebe walks over to Chris who is looking at some things on a shelf as Buffy follows her. "What are you doing over here?"
Chris shakes his head, "Nothing. You guys keep this stuff forever, you know that?"
"You knew the Titans were after the Elders, didn't you? Why didn't you tell us?" Buffy says.
Chris sighs, "I told you, there's some things I can't tell you. Some things you need to figure out on your own."
Phoebe shakes her head, "Even at the risk of making things worse?"
Piper walks in. "Alright, what's going on? Leo is not responding to any of my calls and it's been over five hours."
Chris shrugs, "I really don't know."
"Well, I really think you do." Piper says.
"Look, you're the one who wanted him to go up there in the first place, not me. Alright, fine, maybe I do know. And if I'm right, he's gonna need some serious alone time." Chris says.
"You know what? Cut it out with the cryptic crap. You need to go up there and bring him back now. No more games." Piper says.
Chris nods, "Okay, fine, I'll go. But if I were you three, I'd focus on freeing Paige because you're gonna need her. Soon." He orbs out.
"I swear to god, if he does not come back with Leo, I'm gonna blow his ass back to the future, orbs and all." Piper says.
"You know what? Why don't you go be with Wyatt and Buffy and I'll take care of everything up here. We will call you if anything happens, I promise. You're not breathing." Phoebe says.
Piper nods, "Nope."
"Breathe." Phoebe says as Piper leaves the attic. "Okay, next sister." She looks to Buffy, "You alright?"
"Are you guys ever going to stop asking that?" Buffy asks. "I'm fine."
Moments later the fairy sprinkles magic dust on the Paige statue.
"Now." Phoebe says as Finnegan holds out his gold nugget, hitting the statue with good luck. Phoebe throws a potion at the statue. "Hit it!" The dwarf hits the statue with his pick as Buffy throws as fireball. The stone crumbles and frees Paige. "Honey, hi!" Phoebe hugs Paige. "Oh, I'm so happy to see you. Are you okay?"
Paige looks around, "What happened? Where's the Titan? What the hell are these guys doing here?"
"Paige, you should start charging folks about asking are you okay." Buffy says as Paige rolls her eyes.
"Long story, I'll tell you on the way." Phoebe says as she, Paige and Buffy leave the attic.
"You're welcome!" Dwarf says.
Downstairs Piper is sitting on the couch next to Dawn. Buffy, Phoebe and Paige walk down the stairs.
"There you two are." Phoebe says as they walk into the living room.
"Okay, I get the whole epic Titan thing, but what I'm not getting is the Chris thing." Paige says.
Phoebe nods, "Yeah, we're still trying to figure that part out. They seem to have more power than Glory did."
"That's because Glory was not at full strength more than likely. If she had been we probably couldn't have stopped her." Dawn said.
Phoebe nods, "Look who's not stoned."
"Welcome back. You've missed a lot." Piper says.
Paige nods, "Yeah. I can't help but think it's kind of all my fault though. I'm the one who lured the Titans here. Insert I told you so."
Phoebe smiles, "Done."
"I just kind of was obsessed with the whole weird dreams thing and... but I am so sorry for any distress I might have caused you, Piper." Paige says.
Piper shakes her head, "Don't worry about it. I should've listened to you in the first place. Just trying not to worry or to panic. I've just got this terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach."
"What kind of feeling?" Buffy asks.
Piper sighs and looks at Buffy, "That Leo's not coming back. After losing you I don't know if I could take it again."
Buffy nods.
"Oh, sweetie." Phoebe says as she sits opposite Dawn, beside Piper. "Of course he's coming back. How could he not?"
Piper shakes her head, "I don't know, it's just something that Chris said about Leo having to go through this alone. I don't know. What the hell is he doing up there?"
The dwarf walks in. "Sorry to interrupt but we're all leaving now."
"Wait, why?" Dawn asks.
Dwarf smiles, "Didn't you hear the distress call? The surviving Elders have all been flushed out and they need protection."
"Surviving?" Paige asks.
Dwarf nods, "The Elf will stay behind to take care of the kids while you five battle the Titans. Ciao." He leaves.
"Wait, who said anything about us battling the Titans?" Phoebe asks.
"Leo." Piper says.
In the heavens Piper's voice rings out, "Leo!"
Some doors open and Leo walks in holding an urn. "Piper."
Chris shakes his head, "No."
"But she needs me." Leo says.
"Not as much as the rest of us do. You need to stay here, even afterwards, to coordinate." Chris says.
Leo sighs, "Alright. Then you should go otherwise the girls won't understand."
Chris nods, "Good luck." He orbs out.
Leo takes the lid off the urn. "Ekre oh-gee, akman minento."
A bright light rises out of the urn.
"Leo! Leo!"
In the living room of the Manor…
"Leo, for god's sakes, if you can hear me." Piper says as Chris orbs in. "You? Where's Leo?"
"He's safe. For now. Paige, hi." Chris says as he sees Paige.
Paige smiles, "Hi."
"Forget that. What do you mean for now?" Piper says.
"What is this about us supposedly battling the Titans?" Phoebe asks.
Chris smiles, "You're about to find out."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Dawn asks.
A tornado of light swirls around the Buffy, Dawn, Phoebe, Piper and Paige. It disappears and reveals them wearing outfits from ancient Greece. Phoebe has extremely long and thick blonde hair. Paige is holding onto a trident. Phoebe gasps.
Chris smiles. "That's what that means."
"What happened? What are we?" Paige asks.
"You're gods." Chris says.
