Eric and Fiorayne, riding ther Palamutes, soon came up to a cave enterince at the edge of the forest. Eric sonn got off his Palamute as he then walked twards the Pukei-Pukei tracks he was following. Although, they werent the only tracks at the entrance of this cave. He looked around to see some older human sized foot prints with what appeared to be many small monster foot prints.
"Is everything alright Eric?" Fiorayne asked, getting off her Palamute as well to see what Eric was looking at.
"Not entirely sure. The Pukei-Pukei definitely went in here, but wat are some of these smaller steps." He said pointing at one set of old foot prints that appeared to be some kind of lizard foot print with three claws. "That for example. You know any small monsters with foot prints like that?"
Fiorayne looked at the tracks, hard for her to spot do to how she isnt much of a hunter but knew a little to spot them and where they where going. "No I dont. I would suspect a Jaggi tho?" She asked while also trying to awnser.
"Thats what I would guess to but they mostly travel in pacts. Sure there are other tracks here but none like this." He said as he examined some more foot prints, each one different from another. "Theres something in this cave system. And a lot of creatures in here." He said before standing up, soon noticing his Palamute sniffing around the cave enterince.
Eric soon went to his Palamute side and patted his head, although the Palamute whined and got close to Eric. "Hm, dont worry boy. This is an investigation, not a hunt." He said before noticing some faint tracks of a large monster leaving the cave. He soon dismissed it tho as he entered the cave.
Fiorayne followed behind Eric with her Palamute by her side. The cave becoming quite dark the further they go in. "This cave seems pretty big. Have anything to light this place up?"
"Why of course! One of a Hunters greatest assets!" Erics yell echoed as he then grabbed a round small case. It glowed green with small dots floating inside it. He then opened it as a swarm of green glowing bugs came out and illuminated the cave walls. "Scoutflys. They help you by tracking a mosnter, finding material or-" He then looked to see the cave now bring with the Scoutflys illuminating it. "Make cave systems more navagatable." He chuckled.
Fiorayne did a small wow to herself as she say the small bugs brighten up the cave. As she looked around she noticed something on the ground. "Whats this?" She asked as she went over to what appeared to be a broken leg for a chair.
Eric soon noticed it as well and looked around. Seeing deeper into the cave some broken furniture. He walked twards a table that was snapped in half, examining it to see a Pukei-Pukei prints over it. "Yep. We are definitely in the right direction, but why is there furniture here?" He asked himself.
Fiorayne also thought it was strange as they both looked at everything. She walked to a bookcase that was knocked over on its front side with some books scattered around it. She picked one of the books up and opened a page but, she couldn't read it. She turned to the next and again the same thing, nothing. Although, this time, it had a drawing of a girl with her legs being of a fish, gills on her kneck, and her fingers appearing to be webbed together, but most strange of all is how sexy she looked. She continued going throught the book to see all types of girls with monster parts on them, but one thing was the same about all of them, they where all lustfully beautiful in there own way.
As Eric was looking around the destroyed furniture, he noticed Fiorayne looking at a book, blushing hard. Eric raised an eyebrow before asking, "Hey, you have a fever?"
"What?! No!" She said jumping up as she dropped the book. "U-Ummmm, I was jist ready that book." She said blushing red before clearning her throat. "Say, not all monster are just girls with animal parts right?"
Eric gave Fiorayne a weird look, not really knowing how to respond to a question like that. He then grabbed the book she was reading and opened it to a page and was shocked. "Holly molly! Do they really get that big?"
"No!" Fiorayne awnsered before slapping the book out of his hands.
"Ok ok! No need to be so mean." He said as he saw some other books lying on the ground next to the fallen over book case. Although one stood out the rest, partially sticking out from under the book case. "Hey, mind lifting this up for a second." He said, about to lift the bookcase.
Fiorayne nodded, soon getting out of her embarrassed state and helping Eric lift the book case. As soon as they did, they saw several books with a launguage that didnt make sense to them, except one.
Eric soon picked it up and opened it to its first page. "We hunters shall keep the peace in the ecosystem. We hunters shall help the ecosystem grow. We hunters will not hunt out of greed. Finally, we hunters will respect the ecosystem, and everything that lives in it." He said, reading the first page of the book. "Our Oath as hunters." He said looking at the signature at the bottom of the page. "Does the name James Everwood ring a bill?" He asked Fiorayne.
Fiorayne took a second to think about it before nodding. "Yes, I think thats the name of one of the missing hunters. So he was here then?"
"Looks that way." Eric then started to look threw the notebook before sighing. "This is his note book." He then turned to a page of a Great Jaggi on it. "Looks like his first hunt and how he killed it." He then turned to another page showing a Great Wroggi. Eric continued going through the note book till he reach to where he made it to Elgado out post. "Hmmm, looks like he made it to Elgado with his sister three weeks ago. Everything seems normal till-" He stopped himself reading a page about an encounter with a girl with wings for arms, feet like claws, and a tail that kept attacking. "He was attacked, by a wyvern girl?"
Fiorayne was puzzled for a second before coming to a realizing shock. "I saw a girl like that in the book earlier!" Then Fiorayne started to think for a second. "If I remember correctly, there is a girl back at the outpost with the last name Everwood. She's in the infirmary with the other sick hunters."
Eric thought for a second before closing the notebook. He then nodded to himself. "That wyvern girl may have some kind of toxin that affected her. If we find her we could find a cure. But that leaves the question, why kidnap a hunter?" He asked himself before the Scoutflys started to buzz back to Eric.
The Scoutflys retreating where turning red, as they where coming back, more and more turned red. "Crap! Somethings comming!" He said before oppening the small case again, the Scoutflys returning to it as the cave got dark.
"Wait, what are you doing? Shouldnt we!-" Eric then put his hand over Fiorayne mouth and ran behind some broken furniture. Eric Palamute knowing what to do started to dig underground, hiding himself. Fiorayne Palamute soon did the same thing after a moment of confusion.
"We dont know what we are up against. Until we have more information, lets try not to fight it." He said in a bit of a serious tone. Fiorayne, a bit eritated, nodded her head and shook her head so her mouth wasnt covered.
"Im telling you! I saw light in here!" A voice soon echoed through the caves. A high-pitched voice that was definitely coming this way.
"That or it could just be my staff emitting that light. Besides, your still young. Your senses will get better." Another said with a small giggle.
Soon Eric heard two sets of foot steps coming closer with a light coming with it. Both Eric and Fiorayne looked around from around the destroyed furniture to see what it was. What they saw shocked them both.
The first person they saw was a dark skinned women with a large chest. She was wearing a dress with a hole around her cleavage, a hole showing off her belly button and some of her stomach, finally her bottom part of her dress was showing off her legs by the dress stopping a little bit below her waist, enough so you couldnt barely see her ass. Her high heals clicking with each step while she was wearing thigh high fishnet stockings. She was wearing a large hat that was was pointed and a large crown around it. Finally her stalf that was darker then the cave with some purple paterns around the staff. The tip of the staff glowing bright white so they could see.
The second person they saw was a small child, but with small horns slowly growing forward. Black wings on her back with a tail to match with it, although the tip of the tail shaped like a heart. But most shocking of all was her outfit, which was next to none. She wore cloves that extended to her shoulders and back. They also covered her nipples but that was it, you could see her breasts that where slowly growing. Her 'panties' was pretty much just a pastie covering her lower parts and possibly some of her ass as well. She wore sandles that looked well made and that was it. To both Fiorayne and Eric, she looked like a girl trying to sell herself.
"How disrespectful! That girl needs to be taught proper manners!" Fiorayne whisper yelled to herself.
"This feels wrong to even look at." Eric said, feeling wrong looking at someone so young like that.
"Hey! My senses are top notch! They dont need further improvement! As daughter of the New Overlord, I command you to apologize!" The tiny girl yelled.
"And, as per order of the New Overlord, im only here to baby sit you till you can run this region yourself." The other one said, booping the little girls nose. "Anyway, Diana! Come out sweetie! We havent seen your progress report in a while." She said before she noticed the ruble area they where in. "Oh my."
The little girl growled to herself before seeing the rubble and everything a mess. "Ew, I know slimes are usally gross, but i thought that human would fix this." She said before flapping her wings so she doesnt step in the area shes in. "Hey slime! Show yourself you flithly pig!" She yelled, with no awnser. She then slowly got angry and yelled again. "Hey slime! Show yourself or ill burn everything!" She said as then the other girl spoke up.
"Now now! I know your still short tempered and impatient, but this may not have been her doing." She said as she then tapped her staff of the floor. The light from her staff then started to hover in the center of the area they where in. "Oh boy, looks like a monster got in her." She said seeing some large foot prints.
The little girl then sighed thinking for a bit. "Sooooo, no gross slime creature here then?" She asked, not getting the situation.
The other girl then sighed before nodding her head. "That so called 'gross slime', helped mark who was entering and leaving this cave. Without her, there could be intruders, and we wouldnt know who left the cave without her." She said, trying to explain the situation.
The small girl not listening then made a raspberry noise and made a thumbs down. "Booo. Paper work again. I want to rule this land like my sister! Come on! Lets just rule this world already!" She said with excitment.
"Even tho we know nothing about this world." She said before clicking her tongue and nodding her head no. "Your father would be disappointed in you."
"Bah! Men only serve as sperm banks!" She said laughing and crossing her arms with a smug look. "Besides, what could they do? Fight back? Haha!" She boasted.
The other girl shook her head again, sighing as there bickering started to go on for a while. Eric and Fiorayne hearing this all started to get eritated, Eric most of all. He clenched his Switch Axe ready to fight out of emotion, hearing the small girl down talk his fellow hunters and how the monsters of this world are all just usless creatures with no purpose in this world.
"Eric, im mad as well but calm down. Like you said, we know nothing right now." Fiorayne whispered to Eric. She then placed a hand on his chest to help him calm down.
"I know- But I hate people like that! Thinking monsters serve nothing to the ecosystem. They serve everything!" He accidentally yelled the last part.
The cave went quite for a bit as then one of the two girls started to listen for something. "Did you hear that?" The dark skinned girl asked.
Soon the smaller girl awnswred with a chuckle. "Im sorry, my senses are still apparently 'too young'." She giggled, ignoring the noise she heard.
The dark skin girl then sighed, tapped the floor again with her staff. The light returning to her staff. "Lets go, I will find another person to replace Diana." She said starting to walk back, although soon stopping. She noticed a small bug, glowing red flying around both her and her partner.
"Yea yea yea. Another gross slime to take her place? Just put a cat here. They will both do the same thing. Nothing!" She said flying away. The other girll following as well as she held the small bug in her hands.
After a bit of time has passed, both Palamute dug themselves out of the ground. As they came out of the ground, both Eric and Fiorayne came out of some ruble and looked around the dark area they where in.
"We need to report this back at Elgado at once. Something bad is happening here and we need to stop it at once." Fiorayne said, turning around ready to head back. Although Eric wasnt following. "What are gou doing?"
Eric had apparently took out his Switch Axe and started to look at it intensely. "I became a hunter so that I could understand the monsters around me. Not so I could be some wepon to kill innocent monsters." He said talking to himself. His Palamute had its ears down and got close to his side.
"Eric, what are you going on about? Where are you going with this?" She asked, getting closer to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Simple, these guys are just like every other person out there. They think monsters are just blood thritsy monsters out there to kill people, but thats not true." He said before sheathing his Switch Axe on his back. "And Im gonna make them pay fo-" He was then stopped by Fiorayne stepping infront of them.
"I know your angry. I now understand your frustration, but this isnt how you show your message." She said, looking at Erics eyes. "And your not in a the mood for something like that right now. Now lets head back. We have all the information we need."
Eric sighed to himself as he then looked around the broken furniture. He then grabbed a near by book and gave Fiorayne the hunters note book and another book filled with these monster girls. "You head back. I still need to figure out why that Tigrex was here." He said before traveling further into the cave.
"What? Hey wait!" Fiorayne yelled, trying to stop him. "You cant just go in alone. We still dont know whats here."
"Thats why I have to find out." Eric said as he then sighed. "Listen, when we enterd the cave I saw a set of tracks leaving the cave, but not entering." He said remembering what he saw at the entrance of the cave. "I have a theory but im not sure about it. Just, let me find out what it was first."
Fiorayne looked at Eric for a while before sighing. She then put both books in her bag. "Your not going alone. There are still many things we dont know about this place or those girls." She said with a determined look.
Eric looked at Fiorayne for a couple of second before chuckling and giving her a playful bump on the shoulder. "You know, you sure do have the determination of a hunter sometimes." He said, making his way through the caves. Although this time, he made a tourch out of the rubble and cloth, as to not cause to much attention. Hopefully.
Fiorayne and Eric travel the cabe system for a while, there Palamutes following by there sides. They didnt speak to each other much as Eric was following the tracks, before stopping. Soon thy come up at a slpit, footprints leading in both directions. "Well, This is definitely different." Eric said puzzled.
"Yea, theres only two ways to go from here it looks like." She said as she then brought her tourch close to one of the caves path. "Hmmm, which way should we go?"
Eric looked at the tracks some more but still felt puzzled. The tracks seem to be going twards one end at of the tunnel none stop till it abruptly turns to the othere enterance. "The tracks say there going to the left... but in a weird way." He said before slidding his finger across the footprint and licking it. "Interesting."
Fiorayne grossed out by that turns away. "Warn me next time you do that! Ew." Shs said before taking a deep breath. "So, should we follow the tracks?"
Eric paused for a little while before thinking. "Maybe, I want to do one last check." He said before pulling out a green feather that he had grabbed earlier. "Come here boy!" He called over to his Palamute.
His Palamute barked with glee as he then got really close to him. Eric pat his Palamute before showing him the green feather. "Hey boy, wanna see if that sniffer works?" He said as his Palamute barked and smelled the flower. The Palamute then started to smell the floor, soon the tracks as well. Soon after a while, the Palamute barked and started to spring down the entrance where there was no tracks.
"Wait, where is he going?!" Fiorayne asked in confusion.
"Simple! He found out where the Pukei-Pukei went! Come on!" He said soon chasing his Palamute, Fiorayne running after him next with her Palamute.
Soon after running a while, the tracks slowly come back to place. Eric raised an eyebrow to this before noticing a bone pile approaching twards them. Soon they all slowly stopped running and stopped infront of a Pukei-Pukei skeleton. "What in the world?" Eric asked as he then examined the skeleton.
"Wow, ive never seen a Pukei-Pukei skeleton like this before. Must have been here a while." She said as she stood infront of the skull, examining it.
Eric didnt say anything as he then rubbed one of the skeleton ribs. "No, this was recent." He said, looking at his hand that had some slume residue on it. He then flicked it off as he looked around to see the walls covered in slime.
Both the Palamutes looked at the slime covered wall and growled. Eric soon started to take a couple of steps back away from the wall as Fiorayne soon followed his actions. "Is this where that slime girl came from?"
"Not sure, but It looks like we are about to find out." Eric awnsered as he then looked at the ground. The tracks they where following definitely led here. 'So why did it look like they went in a different direction?' Eric thought to himself before the slime wall started to move.
Soon Fiorayne took out her Sword and Sheild while Eric took out his Switch Axe. "Say, you wouldnt happen to have any smoke bombs right?" Eric asked Fiorayne.
"Why of course. I packed almost anything that would be useful for this investigation." Fiorayne said with a smirk.
Soon the slime wall slowly started to open up. As the slime wall opened up, foot steps where coming from the opening. "My, your just a darling miss Violet. Although I do have to see wh-" Soon the person stopped as it looked at the two strangers and there pets with wepons drawn. "Oh, Miss Sharla didnt tell me there where human guests here. Did you know about this?"
The person that came out had dark skin and was wearing some revealing armor. She may have look protected but if a knight ever saw her, she looked like a hooker. Her chest peice only covered her breasts and shoulders while she wore gloves with small peices of armor on them. She wore a skirt that had some armor pieces on them, but nothing to really protect her. She wore some high heel armored boots that went up to her knees, the rest of her legs showing. On her hip she had a whip that she looked eager to use.
Although, what confused both Fiorayne and Eric was that this looked like a female Wyverian to them, her legs looked human.
Soon the slime wall began to move again, although this time part of the wall turned into a beautiful women. "No. Diana didnt give us a report yet. Although Scarla and Raven went to check on her." The slime coming out of the slime wall said.
"Oh? And any word from them yet?" The person said with a grin. "That means I can act on my accord right?" The dark skinned girl asked, her hand ready to grab her whip.
"You have the smoke bomb ready?" Eric whispered to Fiorayne. Fiorayne nodded, her smoke bomb ready for use as she slowly got ready for whats about to happen.
"Hmmm, well according to our Queen, we must protect our reasurch at all costs. So as-" All of a sudden, another part of the slime wall moved, another beautiful girl popping out. Although this time, covering the other slime girls mouth. "Silence! There are intruders here and you want to tell them whats happening?!" "Ah! I-Im sorry. I didnt realize."
The scene confused bother Eric and Fiorayne as the slime girls talked to each other, although they are part of the same wall. "Ok, now thats probably the third most weirdest thing I have ever seen." Eric said before clearing his throat. "Anyway, what are you guys doing in this cave? And what reasurch?"
The dark skinned girl giggled. "Oh my! The Human man knows how to speak. Thats a surprise. Most men I meet are too scared of me to even look at me." She said smirking at Erics stare at her and the slime wall. "Oh, youll be fun to break!~" She said grabbing her whip.
"Oh wait! Shouldnt we awnser hi-." "No we shouldnt! Gosh I cant believe we come from the same slime." The slime wall girls talked to eachother again. "Listen Dark Elf, take care of these two and make sure they dont leave the cave! Ill inform Raven and Scarla." One of the girls on the slime wall said before it went back in the slime wall.
"Well, looks like we have no other choice Eric. Give me the signal when your ready." Fiorayne said as she held her shield infront of her.
"Oh, you think you two can get away hm? Well we will see about that~" The dark skinned girl said as she then cracked her whip.
"Well, I never fought a person before, but a gain slime monster? Im willing to do that." He said looking at the slime wall as it then grew two gaint hands with its finger tips sharp as a sword. "Let wear them down and run for it. Kind of like chasing a monster out of its den." Eric grinned.
"Hm. Alright then. Been a while sense I have spared with someone. And with a whip as a weapon? This shall be interestin." Fiorayne said already in battle stance.
"Oh, lets try not to harm them to much. They could be useful to us." The slime wall said, acting bit intimidated.
"Pffft, please. I think I got this is the bag. Ill make you two pay for coming here~" The dark skinned girl said as she got into her battle stance.
'Hmm, another dark cave. These humans sure do like capturing monsters. But none of them are worth my time.' She thought to herself as she then raised an eyebrow. 'She? Wait no im a- oh whatever. It doesnt matter.' She thought tinking about the experiments she went through. 'Eh, it was painful but ive been through worse... Why am I here anyway?'
Soon she heard two voices talking to eachother again. The noisy flying brat and the dark skinned staff lady. Well, thats what she and some of the other trapped monsters call them. "Ahhhh! How do we even know there are intruders here? Could have been our echo."
"Because I sensed something off about that area. And there was this." She then heard a small buzzing sound and saw a faint red glow in the distance. She instantly scowled.
'Stupid bugs. Helping those warriors. Hmmm, wait are warriors here as well? Hmmm.' She thought to herself as she then tried looking outside her cage, but saw nothing. She then lit her tail a purple flame to see. She couldnt see far as she then tried wallking to the bars of the cage, before tripping and falling. The purple flame dieing out. 'Ah! Stupid legs. How do these creatures walk on two legs.'
"Ahahaha! Did you see that?! Its like it never even ran before!" The flying brat laughed and presumed pointed.
"Well she was just turned recently with the other two in here. Hmmm, did the-" Just then she heard some weird wet noises that she didnt even both trying to make sense of.
"Raven! Scarla! We have intruders at the entrance of the slime door! Its two human hunters it looks like." She heard this news and raised an eyebrow. She was paying half attention before but now this has her full attention. 'Some warriors are here? Interesting.'
"What!? Raven! You said your Illusions will make them come this way! Whats the deal huh?!" The flying brat yelled.
"Impossible. My illusions trick even most demons. Hmmm, quickly, we must protect ev-" Just the a loud scream was heard that shook the cave. The third voice shricking in the same way.
"What the? Why slime! You may be big but that doesn't mean you can destroy my cave!" The brat yelled.
"I-I dont get it... Its like a peice of me was just chopped off." The thrid voice said.
"Quickly, what kind of weapon did he have? If it has magic in it, I can dispell it." The dark skinned staff lady said.
"I dont know, it was like a axe with a golden design- Ahhhhh!" Just then the cave shook again with a loud shriek.
As the three tallked, she heard two other monsters that where also apperintly in here growling and roaring. 'Hmm, they also went through the same treatment as me. A axe with golden edges hm?' She thought to herself as she tried to remember anyone with a axe with gold on it. Then a memory came to her mind.
She remembered following a Warrior with some staff with blades on each end and a bug on her wrist for some reason. She also had some other people surrounding her. A big man with a big sheild with some kind of stick that exploded every once and a while. A girl with a blade possibly bigger then her body. Then finally, another man with some kind of axe that could also turn into a sword. She thought deeper to see if that was possibly the man they where talking about, but only one thing came to mind. Thr strange symbol on the Axe. Although, the only clear thing she remembers from that memory is the girl with the staff and the bug.
She then heard another loud scream. Once again possibly the monster fighting the Warrior the three where talking about. She didnt really care about all the other noises surrounding her do to how they where breaking her train of thought. 'Stupid idiots. Hmmmm, could it be the same Warrior?' She thought again, only this time one particular memory comes to mind.
A Warrior she had fought with before she turned into this thing. They where both fighting a large serpent like creature that controled both wind and lightning. They had eventually won but sadly she had a scar on her face now and lost one of her horns. But the Warrior she had fought with died during that battle. The Warrior only said one thing to her during his final breath. "Spirit of Kamura- Please protect my daughter." She remembered.
At first she didnt understand his words until she smelt a small little girl that smelt almost like him. She followed and protected her from some predators but after a while, she found out that she no longer needed protecting. 'Hmmm, Warrior friend? They where all together.' She thought, before finally coming to a conclusion.
'If they smell like her, I will help. If they dont, Ill leave.' She said as she once again tried this, 'standing' thing. This time she let out a roar herself, purple flames coming out of her mouth, her tail lighting ablaze, and her blades on the side of her arms lit up.
"Hey, what is the purple cat thing doing?" The brat asked.
Before the dark skinned girl could awnser, she then used her blades to cut an opening in her cage. It only took two strikes before she then jumped out of her cage. She tried running on two feet before giving up on that do to how unatural it felt to her, soon sprinting on all fours.
She heard voices coming from behind but didnt listen as she sharged towards where the commotion was. 'It would be nice to see her again if that Warrior is a friend.'
