(Shows Amanda Roth, Dr. Ronald Mack and Jesse Jacobs standing by a table filled with two sets of weapons, One side had Roman weapons, the other had a mix of Viking and Native American Weapons.)
"On today's match up, we have two men who came from different lands and different times," Amanda said.
"The first opponent is Ghost, a man who was born to Viking raiders who abandoned him and then adopted by Native Americans," Dr. Ronald stated, "When the Vikings came back, he would go and defeat them to avenge all the deaths they committed."
"Our next warrior is Marius Titus, a man who grew up in predominate Roman family only to see them murdered," Jesse said, "We would go on a journey that was full of deceit and betrayal to finally get those responsible for his family's slaughter."
"So it's the Viking Age vs The Roman Empire, this will be a great match up," Amanda said with a smile.
(Shows a white man with long black hair with hazel eyes. He's wearing a leather armor and fur boots. He swings a long sword at the camera.)
Ghost, the Viking born, Native American raised warrior who would take on his own Viking kin to protect his adopted people.
(Shows Ghost killing a Viking raider by decapitating him with a long sword.)
vs.
(Shows a man with short black hair and green eyes. He's wearing Roman Lorica Segmentata armor and a helmet with a red crest. He uses a square shield for a thrust before taking a short sword and thrusting it)
Marius Titus, the deadly centurion of Ancient Rome who was hellbent on finding those responsible for his family's murder.
(Shows Marius block a barbarian's axe with his shield and then stab him in the chest with his short sword.)
WHO...IS...DEADLIEST?
To find out, the history of war and modern science collide, as Biomedical Scientists Amanda ArcherRoth applies 21th century technology to unlock new data on some of movies, video game, and comics greatest weapons. ER doctor Dr. Ronald Mack will assets the damage made by these dangerous weapons of war. And Computer Whiz Jesse Jacobs will input the data in the battle simulation that will determine the winner. Two of media's greatest warriors will be put into the battlefield. History will be written. But only one will be crowned: DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
Welcome to the fight club, where we set up a high tech battle zone. We've gathered scientists, doctors, computer experts and combat experts. All to simulate a one on one battle between to deadly ancient warriors.
First up, Ghost, The Viking warrior who would fight he own people to protect the people who would take him in after his kin abandoned him.

(Shows a Middle Eastern with black hair and brown eyes. He's wearing a black shirt, cargo pants and tennis shoes. He takes aim at a target with a bow and arrow and lets the arrow lose, scoring a bullseye.)
Representing Ghost is Hakim Eliyahi, a combat expert, who has studied Ghost's weapons and tactics.
"Ghost was a deadly warrior, he combine Viking and Native American tactics and weapons and defeated an enemy that was technological better than him and his people," Hakim stated.
Ghost was born to a great Viking warrior in Scandinavia during the Viking Age. He would accompany his father to Vinland or the modern day east coast of the United States. His father and other raiders would go on a rampage, killing the local natives called the People of the Dawn and stole their goods. When told to join in, Ghost refused. For not being Viking like, he was whipped severely and left to die. After the Vikings left, a native woman would find him in the ruins of a longship full of dead slaves. Ghost would be adopted by the woman and named Ghost due to his pale skin.
Fifteen years later, Ghost would live in happiness with his new family but frustrated by the People of the Dawn not trusting him or possibly never becoming a brave. However his life would change when another group of Vikings would come, killing his family. Ghost, along with a few allies would start a guerrilla war against these "Dragon People" After many tests, Ghost would defeat his deadliest opponent, Gunnar.
"He would go on to name Starfire, his love, the new Pathfinder and he would become the guardian of the coast, watching out for more Vikings," Hakim finished.
Ghost would come in with a mix of Viking and Native American weapons:
Short Range: Stone Tomahawk
Mid Range: Viking Longsword
Long Range: Native American Bow and Viking Arrows
Special Weapon: Sling
Now Ghost will take on the Roman Empires mightiest warrior.
(Shows a white man with black hair and green eyes. He is wearing a white tank top, black combat pants and boots. He takes a square shield and hits a dummy with it, then plunges a short sword in the dummy's chest.)
Wielding the weapons for Marius is Matthew Roth, former host and expert in all forms of combat. He studied the weapons, history and tactics of Marius.
"Marius was the second most deadliest warrior of the Roman Empire, right behind Damocles," Matthew said, "He would never stop until he gained his revenge."
"Marius was born to Leontius Titus, a former legionnaire and Senator of the Roman Senate. His father was a reformer looking to censure Emperor Nero. When Marius visited his family, the city was then attacked by Celtic barbarians, leading to the deaths of his mother, sister and father. Marius was given a chance for revenge by joining the XVI Legion. He would join the fight in Britannia in which he would save the Emperor's son and Commander Vitallion, the man who let him join the invasion.
After watching the brutal murder of King Oswald by Commodus, Marius finally realized his family had been killed by Nero, who instantiated the fight between the Celts and with his blessing. After sacrificing himself in order to allow the Roman fleet to leave after a massive counter attack at York led by Boudicca, the daughter of King Oswald who had been murdered by the emperor's son right in front of her. He was resurrected by a female god and was sent to kill Nero. He would return to Rome, kill the Emperor's son, kill Boudicca and defeat her army and corner Nero. However the God of the North Wind would help Nero deliver Marius a mortal blow. The female god helping Marius would then send both men to their deaths, securing Rome's safety for a while longer.
"He would have to sacrifice his life for his vengeance, but he died a hero of Rome," Matthew said.
Marius will come in with weapons that would serve the Roman Legion well:
Short Range: Pugio Dagger
Mid Range: Gladius Short Sword
Long Range: Pilum Javelin
Special Weapon: Scutum Shield
So how would these two deadly men fair against each other?
"Right now it can go either way, Ghost took on heavily armored Vikings who had better metallurgy than the Romans had and won," Jesse explained, "But Marius has taken on barbarians, who have a fighting style not too dissimilar from the natives of America."
In our first series of test, we test our warriors close range weapons. Ghost brings in:
The Stone Tomahawk, a weapon that is as ancient as the People of Dawn themselves.
(Shows Ghost sneak up on a Viking raider and slit his throat with his tomahawk.)
"The tomahawk is the iconic weapon of the native people of America," Danny Tochigi, the Deadliest Warrior ancient warriors arms crafter said, showing off a replica, "The weapon was made out of any stone that was sharpened and the fixed to a wood shaft."
(The group is standing by a gel dummy clad in Roman armor and helmet, Hakim is armed with a stone tomahawk.)
"Ok, here's our test for you Hakim, we have a gel dummy fitted with Lorica Segmentata armorand Galea helmet, both made out of Spanish steel, the best steel anyone could get at the time." Amanda said, "We want to see what kind of damage you can do to this."
Hakim gets ready with his tomahawk in hand, waiting for the signal.
"GO!" Amanda yelled.
With a war cry, Hakim slashes the dummy's throat, causing a torrent of blood to come out of it. He soon slashed at the arm holding a mock gladius, cutting deep into the arm. After this, he stopped and allowed Dr. Ronald to come in to check the damage.
"Your first blow cut the throat wide open, he'd bleed out quickly and die," Dr. Ronald said, "The other blow would disable his sword arm but it's not a kill shot."
"I noticed you didn't try to go for the armor," Amanda said to Hakim.
"I know that the Stone Tomahawk won't do anything to that armor," Hakim answered, "Ghost will know this as well. Even if it armor he's never seen before, he'll recognize metal armor when he see's it."
"Well that's all nice but I have a weapon that will go straight through your armor," Matthew said.
Marius comes in with:
The Pugio, a lethal dagger that was the Centurion's back up.
(Shows Maruis have his sword knock out of his hand, he shoves the barbarian away with his shield, unsheathes his dagger and stabs the barbarian in the chest.)
"The Pugio is a foot long dagger made of steel that was carried as a side arm of the Roman Legion," Danny said, show off a newly crafted replica, "This one had the symbol of Damocles on it. Legend has it that Damocles was a great Centurion that was betrayed by his own and killed in battle. The goddess Nemesis would resurrect him and he would avenge himself. Centurions in Marius's day would put this symbol on their Pugio's to remind them to stay loyal to their men or risk Damocles the Black Centurion would come after them."
(Shows the group standing by the same area where the stone tomahawk test was at. The gel dummy was replaced with a fresh one with leather armor on it.)
"Ok Matt, you have the same test as Hakim," Amanda said, "It's clad with leather armor that he and his tribe would have worn during this period."
Matthew got into position with his pugio ready to strike.
"GO!" Amanda yelled.
With a war cry, Matthew plunged the blade into the dummy's chest, easily penetrating the armor. He stabbed the dummy a few more times in the chest before he took a swipe with the dagger, cutting the throat. With the damage done, Matthew stopped the test and allowed for Dr. Ronald to check the damage.
"These shots you started with are going to kill several times over since you hit the abdominal aorta, which mean instant kills. The other blow was to the neck, which means he bleeds out and dies in a few seconds," Dr. Ronald explained.
"Also, you went straight through this armor like it was nothing," Amanda said as she took a look at the armor.
"The wonders of technological advancement," Matthew said, getting a dirty look from Hakim.
Ghost's Stone Tomahawk or Marius's Pugio, which short range weapon gives their warrior the edge?
"This goes to the Pugio, if Hakim is right, the Stone Tomahawk won't do anything to Marius's armor," Jesse said, "The Pugio will go straight through the leather armor of Ghost's, giving him a disadvantage up close."
In Short Range Weapons, Edge: Marius Titus
Next up, two legendary swords will clash and later we will determine who is THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
XXXXXX
Ghost or Marius Titus, who would win in a one on one battle to the death.
When it came to mid range weapons, both warriors came in with deadly blades to hack and stab their enemies. Ghost comes in with:
The Viking Longsword, the weapon that killed thousands of people during the reign of the Vikings.
(Shows a Viking Raider go into a pond. Once he gets into the middle, Ghost erupts to the surface and slashes the Viking in the stomach, disemboweling the Viking.)
"The Viking Longsword is a weapon that a lot of Vikings would carry into battle," Danny said, showing off a newly created model, "These swords were double edge straight blades with lobbed pommels. The were capable of slashing and stabbing."
Marius also came in with an equally deadly blade:
The Gladius, a short short that was used to lethal effect by Rome.
(Shows Marius stab a barbarian in the chest with the gladius. He pulled it out, whirled around and decapitate another barbarian that tried to sneak up on him.)
"The Gladius was the main stay of the Roman Legion for years," Danny said as he showed off a completed piece, "It's a 30 inch double edge short sword that was made primarily to thrust but could slash as well."
(Shows the group standing by the test area, there is a gel dummy on a zip line and one static target with armor on.)
"OK here's the test, we have this gel dummy on a zipline to simulate a charging target," Amanda explained, "We're going to test Sword on Sword for this test, so no shield for you Matt. We also have a static target clad in our warriors armor. Hakim, your first with the long sword.
Hakim got into position and readied himself.
"RELEASE THE PIG!" Amanda shouted.
The pig came screaming towards Hakim, when it's within striking distance, Hakim swung his sword. The blade cut straight through the pig, leaving a huge gash wound. He then stabbed it with his sword and pulled it out. With the pig shredded, Hakim turns to the gel torso with Lorica Segmentata armor on. He tried to slash the chest but the sword was deflected by the armor. He then used an overhead strike to hit the Galea helmet, causing a huge dent in it. Hakim then takes his sword and thrusted into the chest, managing to penetrate the armor. With his damage done, Dr. Ronald walks up to check the damage.
"The first slash damn near cut this pig in half, he would bleed out in seconds and die," Dr. Ronald said before moving on to the stab, "The stab went straight through the heart which would kill instantly."
The doctor would then walk over to the armored dummy, Amanda already removing the armor.
"That first strike glanced off the armor but we had a pressure senor in the helmet, you caused enough force to stun and maybe cause a concussion," Dr. Ronald stated, "The thrust however managed to penetrate the armor and cause an instant kill."
"Guess that armor isn't gonna save you," Hakim said to Matthew.
"Whatever, with your armor, I can just one shot you all day," Matthew scoffed.
The test was reset and Matthew stood by with his gladius in hand.
"RELEASE THE PIG," Amanda yelled.
The pig came charging at Matthew as he got into a combat stance. When it was in range, he stabs the pig in the chest. He follows this up with another stab to the chest and finishes up with a few deep slashes. After finishing up with his pig target, Matthew turned to the leather clad dummy and stabbed it in the chest, the sword going straight through the armor. Matthew than took his gladius and slashed across the chest, causing a large wound and then finished with a cut to the throat. With his damage done, Dr. Ronald came in to check the damage.
"Your first two strikes killed this pig instantly, the slashes would also killed," Dr. Ronald said before moving on to the dummy, "And for this poor guy, the stab and the slash to the throat would kill. The other slash would love to bleed, but it isn't a kill."
"Yet again I show that Ghost will not survive this encounter," Matthew said with a grin.
"You are underestimating your enemy, Ghost took on Viking who had weapons more advance and armor than the Romans did and defeated them," Hakim countered, "As for your weapon, while deadly, my sword is a foot longer and can keep opponent's at a distance."
Ghost's Viking Longsword or Marius's Gladius, which sword gives their warrior the edge in mid range weapons.
"It's a close call but Hakim has a point," Jesse said, "With a greater length and the ability to penetrate Marius's armor, it take the edge."
In Mid Range Weapons, EDGE: Ghost
Next up, a deadly throwing projectile goes up against an accurate bow and later we decide who is the DEADLIEST WARRIOR.
XXXXXX
Marius Titus and Ghost, two deadly warriors who will collide in a one-on-one death match. Now we test the long range weapons both men would come in with. Marius will come in with:
The Pilum Javelin, a deadly projectile that the Roman's would rain down on their enemies.
(Shows Marius throw a pilum at a barbarian on top a building, hitting him straight in the chest.)
"The Pilum is a heavy javelin that the Roman's would use in formation attacks, throwing multiple ones to strike as many enemies as they could," Danny said as he show off a recently created on, "They had a two foot metal blade and four foot wooden shaft on it."
(Shows the group standing outside, several armor clad dummies are set up. On a table is five Pilium's.)
"Alright Matt, your test is simple, we have five dummies clad in leather armor and we want to see the penetrating power of the pilum. You'll have five of them to work with," Amanda explained.
Matthew nodded and picked up one of the pilum's and got ready for the signal.
"GO!" Amanda yelled.
Matthew threw the first pilum at the dummy, hitting it in the stomach. He grabbed a second on and threw it again, hitting the chest. Picking up the third pilum, he threw it and hit the shoulder of the dummy. He picked the fourth one up and threw it, scoring a shot to the mouth. Picking up his last pilum, he threw it at the last dummy, getting hit in the chest. With his test done, Dr. Ronald came in to check the damage.
"I can see that four of these would kill, special attention goes to the shot that hit the mouth," Dr. Ronald pointed out, "The other pilum hit the shoulder which would disable his arm but not kill."
"The only weakness of this weapon is that you can only throw this so far, with my weapon, I can hit him out of the range of the pilum," Hakim countered.
Ghost's long range weapon of choice is:
The Native American Bow and Viking Arrows, a lethal bow armed with even more lethal arrows.
(Shows Ghost sitting in a tree with his bow notched with a metal tipped arrow, when a Viking looks up, he gets an arrow to the eye.)
"The bow that Ghost used was a D-style bow common to the Native American's of the time," Danny said as she showed off a completed replica, "The arrows he used were metal tipped ones that he would take off of dead Viking warriors."
(Shows the group still standing outside, Hakim had his bow in hand and a quiver of arrows on his back. A gel dummy was set up with a Lorica Segmentata and Galea helmet on it.)
"OK, here is your test Hakim. You get five arrows to do as much damage as possible," Amanda said.
Hakim walked to the firing line, which was farther away than the Matthew's test. He got an arrow ready to fire.
"FIRE!" Amanda yelled.
Hakim drew the string and took aim and fired, hitting the dummy right in the left eye. Grinning at his prefect hit, Hakim notched another arrow and fired again, hitting the arm. Another reload and he fired again, hitting the chest but the arrow bounced off. Not deterred, Hakim reloaded again and fired, hitting the left eye. Reloading his last shot, he fired and hit the mouth. With his test done, Dr. Ronald came in to check the damage.
"The armor did hold up against the shot to the chest and the arm shot disabled it, but the rest killed instantly," Dr. Ronald. "The bad thing is with the eye shots, you would live long enough to feel the pain, then hemorrhage and die."
"That's the most screwed up way to die," Jesse said.
Marius's Pilum or Ghost's Native American Bow and Viking Arrows, which long range weapon gives their warrior the edge?
"This goes slightly to Ghost, while his armor won't withstand a hit from the pilum, his bow and arrows can hit a range. Plus he'll be accurate and he can dodge the pilum."
In Long Range Weapons, EDGE: Ghost
Coming up, we pit the ancient world's most used weapon against the shield that protected many a Roman soldier. Then we will see who is THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
XXXXXX
For our last series of tests, we test the warriors special weapons, Ghost comes in with:
The Sling, a weapon that has been used since time immemorial.
(Shows Ghost tied to a bunch of Vikings on a narrow cliff. He twirls a sling and throws it at the Viking last in line. This cause him and most of the other to fall off the cliff.)
"The sling is a simple yet effective tool. It just to strings connect to a square cloth that is used to load your chosen projectile," Danny said, showing off a created version, "As for ammo, you can carry specifically made stones or any you found on the ground."
(Shows the group inside the fight club, Hakim is armed with his sling.)
"Alright
Hakim, here is your test, we have several blood filled skulls to hit and a gel one with a Galea helmet, you've got six stones, three that are shaped for maximum accuracy and three regular ones that you would pick up off the ground," Amanda explained.
Hakim simply nodded and got into position, loading up on of the shaped rocks first into his sling.
"GO!" Amanda yelled.
Hakim twirled the sling of his head and released the rock, which went straight over the his intended targets head. He loaded another shaped rock and twirled it again before releasing it, this time he got a skull right in the face. Hakim decided to load up a regular stone and twirled, releasing it and hitting the Galea helmet but causing little damage. Taking his last shaped stone, he loaded it and twirled, release and hit the Galea, causing a dent. Hakim then loaded another regular stone and twirled it, hitting nothing. With his last stone, Hakim repeated his actions but hit nothing again. With his test done, Dr. Ronald came in to check the damage.
"The shot that hit the bare skull would cause a compress skull fracture and would likely result in a kill," Dr. Ronald said as he went over to the helmeted skull and removed it, "I see nothing here to indicate that any damage has been done."
"Please, this not really a weapon. It might work against rival tribe in Ghost's neck of the woods, but against a fully armored centurion, it's an annoyance." Matthew scoffed, "I bring in a shield that can be used as a weapons as well."
Marius comes in with:
The Scutum Shield, a shield that all soldiers of ancient Rome used.
(Shows Marius bash a barbarian in the face with the shield the whirl around and block another barbarian's axe.)
"The Scutum shield that Marius used was the rectangular type that was used by the legion," Danny said as he showed off a newly constructed one, "It was made of three sheets of wood glued together with a cover of leather. It also had metal boss on it that could be used as a weapon."
(Shows the group surrounding a gel dummy clad in leather armor. Matthew is holding his scutum.)
"Alright Matthew, our test is simple, beat the hell out of this gel dummy with your shield," Amanda said.
"Gladly," Matthew said with a grin.
Matthew got into position and readied himself for the signal.
"GO!" Amanda yelled.
Matthew came in with a ferocious roar and hit the dummy with the metal boss. The struck a few times more before taking the edge of the shield and cracks the dummy right in the face with it, cracking the skull. With his damage done, Matthew stepped back and allowed the Dr. Ronald to come in to check the damage.
"The first couple of strikes to the body, the first one would likely stun, the other could possibly kill," Dr. Ronald said, "The shot with the edge of the shield, that caused a fracture to the head, which would kill."
"While this shield is proven, I doubt it could stand against the longsword," Hakim stated.
"Sounds like a challenge," Matthew said.
(The team set up the new test, a scutum shield with a load cell to measure the pressure coming down on the shield. Hakim is standing next to it with a Viking Longsword.)
"Alright Hakim, your job is to see if you can penetrate the shield and we have a load cell to see what kind of pressure you bring down," Amanda said, "Start when your ready."
The team cleared out as Hakim stood in front of the scutum, sword at the ready. After a few seconds, Hakim let out a war cry and swung the longsword and hit the shield but it managed to deflect the blade. He tried a few more times but never managed to do any slicing damage. Hakim then went for an overhead chop and sunk the blade into the top edge of the shield about an inch in. He managed to get the blade out and then went for a thrust, which managed to got through but not by much.
After he got the blade, the team came in to check the damage.
"Well from the load cell, you got slightly less than you needed to break a bone, so his arm will be sore, but not out," Amanda said, "The two shots that managed to get through however, while they did penetrate, they wouldn't get to the man on the other side."
Ghost's Sling or Marius's Scutum Shield, which special weapon gives their warrior the edge?
"This hands down goes to the Scutum, it is a weapon for offense and will prove useful against defending against the Viking Longsword," Jesse explained.
In Special Weapons, EDGE: Marius Titus.
Throughout the Show, we tested Ghosts Leather armor against Marius's Lorica Segmentata armor and Galea Helmet.Which armor gives their warrior the edge?
"The only real strength of the Leather armor is that it allows for greater freedom of movement and speed but can be easily penetrated," Jesse said, "The Lorica Segmentata is able to withstand more punishment and despite being heavier, it still allows Marius to move around at a decent speed."
In Armor, EDGE: Marius Titus
Now we gauge our warriors unique X-Factor, one defining attribute they alone carry into the fight. For this episode, we look at the training of these two warriors. First up is Ghost:
"Ghost had two types of training, when he was living with his father and his Viking brethren, he learn sword fighting and other forms of fighting, that gave him an edge the native people didn't have when it came to fighting the Vikings when they came back. After he was abandon, he learned from the People of the Dawn and became a skilled archer and learned their hit and run attacks and unconventional way of war, which took the Vikings by surprise. He used this hybrid style of fighting and beat those Vikings who wanted to kill his adopted people."
Next we analyze Marius Titus training:
"Since the day he could hold a sword, His father Leonitus trained his son to be a master of all weapons of the Roman Legion. Swords, shields, spears and throwing weapons had become an extension of him. Though Romans fought in formations, Marius was known to fight by himself and could fight off multiple men at the same time. He became a legend after his death when he faced off against the barbarian warrior queen Boudicca and managed to decapitate her, sending her barbarian army fleeing."
Next up, the final battle between Ghost and Marius Titus, who will be THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!

With out testing completed and x-factors evaluated, we are one step closer to determining the Deadliest Warror.
We test four weapons that Ghost used to defend the People of the Dawn: The Stone Tomahawk, Viking Longsword, Native American Bow and Viking arrows and the Sling
We also tested four weapons that Marius Titus use to slay those who had wronged him, the Pugio Dagger, Gladius Short Sword, Pilum Javelin and the Scutum Shield.
In Close Range Weapons, the Pugio ability to go straight through the leather armor outdid the Stone Tomahawk.

The Battle:
In a forest area that transcends time and space, Ghost walks through the forest looking for a good spot to hunt for some game, with him is his adopted little sister. She is helping her older brother looking for tracks, Ghost is armed to protect him and his sister if a rival tribe comes. He has a Viking Longsword on his side, a bow and some arrows that his family had gather from one of the "Dragon Peoples" boats, a stone tomahawk and a sling with a few shaped stones.
As they approached a rocky outcropping, Ghost looked up to see an armored clad man come into view. Said man is Marius Titus, having come to this new land to extend the boarders of the Roman Empire. He had his Scutum Shield in hand, Gladius at his side, Pugio dagger on the small of his back and three pilum's on his back held there by loops. At first he doesn't see Ghost or his sister, just scanning the area. However his gaze falls on them and he gives the armed man a vicious glare.
Ghost tells his sister to run back to the village and warn the tribe of the danger. She simply nods and runs off, Marius stare never leaves Ghost's and Ghost himself pulls out his bow and readies a bow. Marius sees this and readies his Scutum just as Ghost draws his bow back and takes a shot. The arrow comes at Marius, who jumps from the outcropping as the arrow nears, hitting the shield. Marius hits the ground, after recovering, he takes out a pilum from his back and then takes a running throw, however the pilum goes over Ghost, who gets ready with another arrow.
As Marius pulls another pilum, Ghost fires another arrow but yet again Marius gets his Scutum up and it hits the shield. Marius the throws his pilum but it's slower movement allows Ghost to dodge it. Realizing that his pilum's are not working on this enemy, he takes his last pilum and uses it to break off the arrows on his Scutum and then drops it. Unsheathing his Gladius, he charges at Ghost with his shield up. Ghost notices his opponent's charge and aims his bow but couldn't get a good shot at him. Ghost decides to aim low and fires at Marius's feet but the shot goes right between the charging Roman's legs.
Marius closed the distance and tried to ram Ghost with his scutum but the faster warrior managed to jump out of the way. Ghost dropped his bow and unsheathed his Viking longsword, the two men circled each other for a few moments, see which one would make the first move. Finally, Ghost came in with a swing with his longsword which was deflected by Marius's shield. Marius tried for a stab to the chest but this was met with a parry from Ghost's longsword.
Soon the two men were clashing steel with Ghost gaining ground. When he goes for an over hand chop, Marius counters with a powerful blow to the body with the scutum. This blow managed to knock Ghost off his feet and made him drop his sword. Marius tried to finish the fight with a stab to the chest but Ghost managed to roll out of the way. Realizing that the shield was important tool for the Roman, Ghost decided to take the fight elsewhere, he grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it into the eyes of Marius.
Letting out a cry of pain, Marius tried to get the dirt out of his eyes. However he was too close to Ghost's sword for him to retrieve it without the risk of being stabbed by his opponent's sword or hit by his shield. He decided to run deeper into the woods, taking out his sling while running. As Marius finally got the dirt out, He looked around to see Ghost had disappeared. He then saw the tracks left by his opponent and followed them.
As Marius continued to follow the tracks, they finally stopped around a lake. Marius senses went into overdrive, fearing an ambush. As he began to follow the edge of the lake, he heard a faint whirling noise from behind him. He turned around and brought up his scutum just in time to have a shaped rock bounce off of it. As he lowered his shield. Marius saw Ghost take off deeper into the woods. Determined to finish off this suborn opponent, chased after him despite knowing their could be traps or other barbarians around.
As Marius came into a clearing, he was on his guard. He heard the whirling noise again but when he turned around to face the noise, he misjudged the direction and was hit in his exposed part of his sword arm. While he was lucky his arm wasn't broken, the sudden pain made him drop his Gladius. Out of nowhere, Ghost appeared and kicked the shield out of Marius's hands. For the first time, Ghost had the advantage and tried to slice at the neck of Marius with his stone tomahawk, knowing that his opponent's armor was metal and the stone couldn't penetrate that.
Marius managed to back away from the slice, but Ghost then dropped kicked him full in the chest, making Marius fall backwards to the ground, his Galea hemlet coming off. Seeing his chance to end the fight, Ghost strode up to his enemy to put his stone tomahawk in his head. However Ghost didn't notice Marius draw something from his back as he got to one knee. As Ghost raised his tomahawk to make the killing blow, Marius lashed out and stabbed Ghost in the stomach with his pugio dagger, putting every inch of the blade in his opponent's gut.
This made Ghost drop his tomahawk and go to his knees, spitting up blood. This gave Marius time to grab his gladius and when Ghost looked up, the last thing he saw was Marius thrust his Gladius at him. The Roman centurion put his blade through Ghost's neck, the blade coming out back. Marius removed the blade from his dead opponent and allowed his body to drop. Marius stood there for a moment and then gave Ghost's corpse a nod, acknowledging him as a great warrior and worthy opponent.
Marius then thrusts his bloody gladius in the air and yelled:
"ROMA VICTOR!"
