AN: I use a mod that turns all Imperial Legion Armor and weapons into Roman-like armor. I also included one weapon from a mod that uses some Byzantine weapons as well. I also gave the Orochi a weapon he doesn't use in the game to even things out.
Shows Matthew Roth, Dr. Ronald Mack, and Jesse Jacobs standing by a table filled with two sets of weapons. Behind them are two dummies, one with Roman-style armor while the other is Japanese style armor.
"Today's matchup is going to be a good one, we have two warriors who fought for Empires and are said to be the best of the best," Matthew said.
"The Dawn Empire Orochi is a rare breed of warriors within their peoples' ranks and is said to be equal to one hundred soldiers of their enemies," Jesse stated.
"But they are taking on the Imperial Legate of the Tamrielic Empire," Dr. Ronald said, "They fought for their position and are said to be tough as nails."
"Well, I say we get this started," Matthew finished with a smile.
(Shows a Japanese looking man in Japanese style armor slashes at the screen with a katana)
The Dawn Empire Orochi, the quick and deadly warriors of the Myre, who are said to be the match of one hundred soldiers.
(Shows an Orochi slice the neck of a Viking Raider before turning around, deflecting a blow from Knight Warden and slicing off his arm.)
VS.
(Shows a white man in chainmail and a steel helmet, who stabs at the screen with a sword of his own.)
The Imperial Legate, killer commanders of the Imperial Legions, who prowess on the battlefields of Tamriel is legendary.
(Shows a legate run through a Thalmor soldier with his sword, pulls it out and then turns around and slices another who tried to sneak up on him.)
WHO...IS...DEADLIEST?
To find out, the history of war and modern science collide, as Biomedical Scientists MatthewRoth applies 21st-century technology to unlock new data on some of movies, video games, and comics' greatest weapons. ER doctor Dr. Ronald Mack will assess the damage made by these dangerous weapons of war. And Computer Whiz Jesse Jacobs will input the data in the battle simulation that will determine the winner. Two of media's greatest warriors will be put into the battlefield. History will be written. But only one will be crowned:
DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
Welcome to the fight club, where we've set up a high tech battle zone. We've gathered scientists, doctors, computer experts, and combat specialists. All to simulate a battle between two different warriors who served two different empires.
First up, the Dawn Empire Orochi, the deadly fast assassin of the Myre, who is said to roam the battlefield like ghosts to slay their enemies.
Dawn Empire Orochi Stats:
Appearing From: For Honor
Class: Assassin
Height: 5'6
Weight: 140lbs
Loyalty: Emperor of the Dawn Empire
Armor: Wood and leather
The Orochi's new opponent is just as dangerous.
The Imperial Legate, The tough and steely field commander of the Imperial Legion, who fought their way through the ranks to get where they are.
Imperial Legate Stats:
Appearing From: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Race: Imperial
Height: 5'9
Weight: 175lbs
Loyalty: Emperor of the Tamrielic Empire
Armor: Imperial segmentata and Galea helmet
(Show an Asian looking man in black and red samurai looking armor. He is practicing sword techniques with a sword.)
Representing his order, Akio is a master at the weapons and tactics used by his brothers and sisters in arms.
"These Legates are no trouble for us, I've taken on more heavily armored opponents and slain them," Akio said confidently.
The Orochi's are the Imperial Assassins of the Dawn Empire and often served as bodyguards to the Emperor. Using traditional samurai techniques along with some from the then thought to be mythic Ninja clans, these warriors will often scour the battlefield like shadows and strike unaware opponents. It is said that every Orochi is trained to match one hundred of their enemies' regular troops.
"My people will show our honor and strength and defeat this enemy, just like the rest," Akio finished.
The Orochi comes in with a deadly arsenal of weapons that slew their Knight and Viking enemies:
Short Range: Katana
Mid Range: Yari
Long Range: Yumi Bow & Arrows
Special Weapons: Kunais
(Shows a slightly tanned man wearing Roman-like armor. He is shown thrusting a sword into a dummy's stomach.)
Representing his fellow Legates, Marius Draco is a Legate himself who fought in the Skyrim Civil War. He knows the weapons and tactics used by the Imperial Legion.
"I seriously doubt these Orochi are a match for us, we have the experience because we actually fight in the front rather than run around like cowards," Marius said defiantly.
Legate is an officer rank within the Imperial Legion, one step below General. Legates are chosen for their battlefield experience and success and are known for the toughness in battle. Some of them are battlefield commanders who give out orders to those out in the field while others act as garrison commanders in fort and cities within the empire. They are expected to fight in front line combat when needed and are known to inspire the fellow legionnaires.
"I see the Legate killing this assassin and then will march into his swamp and conquer it for the Empire," Marius said.
The Imperial Legate comes in with a cache of weapons they use to destroy their opponents:
Short Range: Imperial Spatha
Mid Range: Imperial War Hammer
Long Range: Imperial Bow & Arrows
Special Weapons: Imperial Dolabra
But how would the tough and steely Imperial Legate fair against the quick and deadly Orochi?
"This could go either way, so we need to run the tests to get the data we need to run the simulation," Jesse said.
When it came to short-range weapons, both warriors come in with deadly blades to kill their enemies. The Orochi comes in with their most iconic sword:
The Katana, The legendary sword of the Orochi.
(Shows an Orochi quick drawing his sword at a charging Viking warrior and killing him as his belly opens up and his guts fall to the ground.)
"The Orochi's katana is exactly like the one wielded by the samurai of our world. It has a fine steel blade that is somewhere around 24 to 29 inches long with a hilt made of wood and leather," Weapons crafter Danny Tochigi explained as he showed off a replica of the sword.
(Show the group standing nearing poles of mats and a gel dummy fitted with Imperial armor and helmet. Akio stands with them armed with his katana.)
"So here is your test Akio, since you Orochi are known to slice your opponents as you quick draw, we have these mats to test the sharpness of your blade and the speed of your quick draw. Next, we have a gel dummy fitted with Imperial segmentata armor and Galea helmet. We want to see the slicing and stabbing power of the katana, so you get a slice to the head, and a slice and stab at the chest," Matthew explained, "Are you ready?"
"Hai," Akio stated.
Akio soon took his position in front of the mats and puts his hands on his sheathed sword, ready for the signal to start.
"On your go!" Matthew yelled!
With blinding speed, Akio unsheathed his sword and cut all three mats in a half in one swift motion. He soon turned to the dummy and went for an overhead strike but his sword was deflected by the helmet. He soon slashes across the chest of the armor but was met with a loud clang, the blade leaving a dent in the armor. Soon Akio takes his sword and thrusts into the armor and manages to penetrate the armor and the blade going through the chest. As he yanks the blade out, Akio uses the crook of his arm to clean the blade and then sheaths his sword. Soon Dr. Ronald comes in to take a look at the damage.
"From what I can see from the armor, the slashes to the head and chest didn't do anything significant, maybe stunning them at best," Dr. Ronald said as he and Matthew soon take off the chest plate, "The stab, however, managed to go straight through the armor and hit the aorta, which is an instant kill."
"And from the hi-speed camera, that slash you did that cut these mats was impressive itself, it would be very hard to react too, either dodging it or deflecting it. Plus these mats are thicker than human bone and tissue, which means anything unarmored will be easy to cleave through," Matthew explained.
"A fine blade indeed but I will stick with my blade instead, it is a proven killer of men, mer, and beastfolk," Marius said with a confident grin.
The Imperial Legate comes thrusting in with their standard-issue sword:
The Imperial Spatha, a long-bladed killer that slays enemies of the Empire.
(Shows a Legate run through an Aldmeri Dominion soldier with his Spatha before ripping it out of him and whirling around as slashing the throat of another.)
"The sword that the Legate and the Legion would carry is similar to a Spatha that the Roman's used later on in their empire. These swords had more of a point that made it easier to thrust into an opponent but it was double-edged so it could slash as well. The blades of these swords could be anywhere from 19 to 34 inches long but the common length for these seemed to be 30 inches," Danny explained
(Shows the test reset with now only one pole wrapped in a mat and a gel dummy fitted Orochi armor and helmet. Marius stands by with his sword ready.)
"Alright, we have the same test for you Marius but with only one pool this time seeing as you don't have a technique like Akio's that can do that," Matthew explained. "Are you ready?"
"I was born ready," Marius replied as he walked up to the mat with his sword drawn.
"On your go!" Matthew yelled.
Marius raises his Spatha and with a single stroke, went straight through the mat like it was nothing. He soon turned to the gel dummy and went for an overhead chop and the blade manages to get inside the leather and wood but gets stock about an inch in. He has to yank out his sword before going for a slash to the leather and wood cuirass, which cuts through the leather but the wood manages to hold well enough. He soon took his sword and stabbed at the chest, the blade going straight through the armor and into the chest of the dummy. As soon as he yanks out the blade from the dummy and sheathes it, Dr. Ronald comes in to check the damage.
"The first blow it seems to have gone in but I see that it did not penetrate more than an inch in, the blow might have disoriented him but no death blow here. Then you have the slash, it went through the leather well enough but the wood managed to absorb most of the blow. The stab however went straight through and hit the heart, which is instant kill city," Dr. Ronald stated.
"The hi-speed camera also showed me that your slash is slower than Akio's but it still did the same job as his Katana, it would slice through any unarmored target," Matthew explained.
"And it will be the slower speed that will be the Legate's downfall, it will only take me a fraction of a second to kill him with my blade," Akio stated.
"Not if your armor can't stand my blade, your helmet was still damaged compared to you blade not doing anything," Marius countered.
"You may have better armor but I have faced knights with vastly superior armor than yours and I was able to slay them," Akio said back.
The Orochi's Katana or the Legate's Spatha, which short-range sword gives their warrior the edge?
"From what I can see from the tests, both blades essentially did the same job with the Spatha managing to deal slightly more damage. But that is offset by the fact that Orochi's tend to have a more mobile fighting style and they have better speed when it comes to attacking, so we are calling this even," Jesse explained.
In short-range weapons, EDGE: EVEN.
Next up, A long deadly spear goes up a bone-crushing, armor-piercing hammer and later both warriors long-range bows. WHO WILL BE THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR.
XXXXXXXXXX
Now we test out our warrior's mid-range weapons, The Orochi comes in with:
The Yari Spear, a brutal spear that can skewer the most heavily armored warrior.
(Shows an Orochi impale a Warden off his horse with his spear.)
"The spear carried by the Orochi is similar to the ones carried by samurai in our world. Though they had many blade variants, the Dawn Empire mostly used what is called a Su Yari, which is a straight, double edge blade about 11 inches long. The weapon itself could vary but the typical yari carried by the Orochi is about five feet long," Danny said as he showed off a recently crafted spear on a table.
(Shows the group standing near a mock-up of a horse and rider. The rider is wearing the Imperial Legate's armor and helmet. Akio is armed with his Yari.
"So here is our test, since these weapons are typically used for anti-cavalry operations, we have a Legate on horseback connected to a track, which will simulate him charging you. We are going to test the penetrating power of the Yari Spear against the armor of the Imperial Legate," Matthew explained, "Are you ready, Akio?"
"Yes," Akio said simply.
Akio walked up to the starting line and got into a combat stance with his spear, waiting for the test to start.
"CHARGE!" Matthew screamed out.
The mechanical horse and its rider soon came after Akio, his Yari ready to strike. Once it got within range, Akio step to the side and stabbed his Yari into the armored dummy, the blade going straight through the armor. Akio is forced to let go of the weapon when the horse goes by him. With his test done, Dr. Ronald comes in to check the damage.
"From what I can see, you most likely hit the abdominal aorta, the biggest blood vessel in the body. Hit that and you bleed out and die in seconds," Dr. Ronald said as he examined the body.
"But he lost the spear once he stabs this poor inanimate object, even if he did get that one, another member of the legion will come in and cut this Orochi down," Marius said in a dismissive tone.
"Even if I did lose my Yari, I would simply disappear and flank my next victim, that's how fast and cunning my people are," Akio responded.
"Well I think I've got the better weapon for this," Marius finished.
The Imperial Legate comes smashing in with:
The Imperial War Hammer, a hammer that can smash with it's a hammer or stab with its pike end.
(Shows a Legate hit a Stormcloak Rebel off his horse with the hammer and then finish him off with a downward overhead strike to the stomach with his pike end.)
"The Imperial War Hammer is based on the Steel War Hammer seen in Skyrim but lacks the intricate patterns in the steel. They have the hammer side that is used to smash in armor and demount anybody and then there is the pike end that can penetrate armor. They are slightly smaller than their Skyrim counterparts at about five feet long and are slightly lighter as well," Danny said as he showed off a completed replica.
(Shows the scene being reset, with the dummy being replaced with a new one armored up with the Orochi type armor. Marius is now armed with his war hammer.)
"Alright Marius, we have the same test for you, since you got two options to which to kill with, I want you to hit that dummy with both ends," Matthew stated.
"Gladly," Marius said with a smile.
Marius soon walked over to the starting line with his hammer and soon got into his combat stance and readied himself for the test.
"CHARGE!" Matthew screamed!
The horse and its rider soon came towards the Imperial as he stared intently at it, once in range, he sidestepped the horse and swung the hammer into the dummy's chest, causing the wooden armor to crack loudly. The force of the blow managed to knock the dummy off the horse and it landed on the ground with a thud. Marius soon walked over to the dummy and took the pike end of his weapon and with an overhead strike, drove it into the dummy's chest, further destroying the armor. Marius soon yanks out the hammer and allows Dr. Ronald to check the damage.
"Yikes, this dummy is all kinds of messed up. The first blow from what I can see not only cracked the leather and wood but as I can see likely broke a lot of ribs and the impact itself like stopped the heart from beating," Dr. Ronald explained as he moved on to the pike's damage, "And here is a no brainer, you hit the heart, he's dead in seconds."
"I think your people should pray to whatever god or gods you believe in because this is the weapon that destroys you," Marius said taunting Akio.
"Your people couldn't even touch us with this weapon, we are like ghosts in the battlefield, we strike when you least expect it and we disappear before you realized we were there," Akio said smoothly.
The Orochi's Yari Spear or the Legate's War Hammer, which weapons give their opponent the edge in mid-range weapons?
"This goes to the Legate, his weapon causes more damage than the yari while also having more options to kill with," Jesse concluded.
In Mid Range Weapons, EDGE: Imperial Legate.
Next up, we test out our warriors' long-range bows, and later, an improvised weapon goes up against a deadly dagger. Who will be THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR?
XXXXXXXXXX
When it comes to long-range weapons, both warriors come in with deadly bows that could kill from afar. The Orochi comes in with:
The Yumi, A bow that is taller than wielder but just as deadly.
(Shows an Orochi aim a Nuxia and fires a shot at her, scoring an eyeshot.)
"Like the ones in real life, the Orochi Yumi is a very tall but thin bow. They vary in size but the one here is over seven feet tall and fires steel-tipped arrows that measure about three feet in length," Danny said as he showed off a model.
But the Imperial Legate also comes in with his long-range killer:
Imperial Bow, the standard-issue long-range killer of the Imperial Legion.
(Shows a Legate take aim at a bandit leader and fire off an arrow, striking the man in the throat.)
"The Imperial Bow is made to exact specifications of the Legion, so they are pretty much mass-produced the same way. They are about four feet in length and fire two-foot, steel-tipped arrows," Danny explained as he showed off a replica.
(Shows the hosts and two experts standing outside with two dummies, one in Orochi Armor, the other in Imperial Armor. Both experts are armed with their respective bows.)
"Here is your tests guys, we have dummies armored up to see the penetrating power of the arrows. So I want to at least see one attempt at the breastplate of the armor, after that it's fair game on where you hit. You will be given five arrows each, do you understand?" Matthew questioned.
"Yes," Marius said simply.
"I will do one better, I will call out my shots," Aiko answered.
"Alright, you will be first then," Matthew said to Aiko.
Akio took his bow and went to the firing line, which stood thirty feet away from the Legion armored dummy. He took out an arrow and notched it up and waited for the go-ahead from the hosts.
"Alright, on your go!" Matthew yelled out.
Akio soon took his bow and aimed downrange.
"Sternum" Akio called out.
He then let the arrow loose and it hurdled towards the armored dummy and hit it at the spot Akio called out, but the arrow bounced off the armor. Akio took another arrow and aimed again.
"Throat."
Akio soon fired again and his arrow flew in the air and it hit the dummy right in the throat as he said. With a satisfied smile, he loads up another arrow and aims again.
"Right Eye."
Akio fires and yet again, he hits his target in the described area. He reloads and aims.
"Left Eye."
Another arrow flies into the air and hits the target again in the area he called out. Akio loads
up his last arrow and aims.
"Mouth."
Akio fires and the arrow screams in the air and strikes the dummies' mouth. With his test done, Akio turns to see the stunned hosts looking on in awe of what he had done.
"That is damn good shooting man," Matthew admitted.
Soon Dr. Ronald came over to the dummy to check the damage.
"Well the shot to the armor did nothing so we'll skip that and got to areas you did hit, and man it is like a pincushion of pain. The first shot is a tracheotomy, this is a kill shot. The one to the mouth would likely cut the brain stem in half, which instantly kills anybody and make them flop to the ground. And the two eye shots are the worst, if this man was hit like this first, he'd feel the arrow go in, wiggle a bit, hemorrhage and die," Dr. Ronald explained.
"Dude, that is the most screwed up way to die," Jesse said in awe.
"A fine demonstration of marksmanship but in a real fight, a Legate would not stand there and allow himself to be shot," Marius stated.
"Well let's see what you can do," Matthew replied.
Marius nodded and soon took his position at his firing line, he loaded up his bow and waited for the signal to start.
"On our go!" Matthew yelled.
Marius took aim at the center of the target and fired his arrow at the target, the projectile flies and hits the leather and wood breastplate and it penetrates it but not much damage occurred. Marius loads another arrow and aims, firing again at the breastplate, only to get the same result. He takes his next arrow and aims again and fires at the head, but his aim was not true, the arrow went sailing past the dummy's head. Cursing his luck, Marius loaded, aimed, and fired again, aiming lower to the less protected stomach. The arrow penetrated the leather and went into the stomach. Taking his last arrow, Marius loaded up and made one more attempt at the head. He loosed his arrow and the projectile gets deflected by the helmet.
With his test done, Dr. Ronald comes in to check the damage.
"I'm surprised that the wood armor managed to hold up like it did but the leather did help, the first two chest shots got in but not enough to cause damage. Then we have this gutshot, it would hurt like hell and bleed out but this is at best a delayed kill." Dr. Ronald explained.
"Then there is the fact that you missed the first headshot and the helmet managed to deflect the other," Matthew piped in.
"Had this been a real fight, the moment you miss and Orochi, you'll have a chance again, because you either have an arrow in your eye or another one has snuck up behind you and cut you down," Akio says in a cool voice.
"Then be cowards then, you couldn't stand up against a full-frontal assault against an armored and armed Legate," Marius scoffed.
The Orochi's Yumi or the Legate's Imperial Bow, which weapons give their warrior the edge in long-range weapons?
"This goes hands down to the Orochi, he was able to call out all of his shots and the ones he did hit were kill shots," Jesse stated.
In Long Range Weapons, EDGE: Dawn Empire Orochi.
Next up, we test a multi-purpose tool vs an improvised weapon and after that, THE FINAL BATTLE. Who will be THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR?
XXXXXXXXXXX
In our last series of tests, our warriors bring out unique special weapons. For the Orochi, he brings in:
Kunais, multi-purpose daggers that can be used in melee or ranged combat.
(Shows an Orochi throw a Kunai into an eye of a Viking Shaman then spin around and stab a Peacekeeper in the throat with another he draws out swiftly.)
"The Kunai is a weapon that the Orochi learned of through the fables of the Shinobi. The ones they use are big enough to be used as melee weapons but were light enough to be thrown. They are roughly eleven inches in length and the Orochi are known to carry multiple ones at once," Danny said as he showed off a completed replica.
(Shows the group standing by a fully armored dummy inside the fight club, Akio is armed with several kunais.)
"Alright, here is your test, we want to see if you can penetrate the armor of the Legate, do as much damage as you can," Matthew stated, "You ready?"
Akio simply nodded in response and got into position, standing several feet away from the dummy.
"Alright, on your go!" Matthew yelled out.
Akio took the kunai in his hand and threw it into the right eye of the dummy's exposed face. He quickly took out another one and repeated the same thing, a kunai going into the left eye. He took up another kunai and rushed the dummy and slashed at the throat, spilling blood on armor. He soon tried to stab through the armored chest but the heavy armor deflected the blow. With nothing left to do, Akio signaled his hand to indicate he was done, Dr. Ronald came in to check the damage.
"Well let's start with the two kunais in the eyes," Dr. Ronald stated as he pulled both of them out, "Yeah you went deep enough to hit the brain so this Legate is dead twice over."
He soon looked at the neck wound.
"This is a no brainer, he cut both the jugular and the carotid, meaning this guy bleeds out in seconds and dies," Dr. Ronald says as he examines the wound.
"I noticed that you stopped after one slash to the armor," Matthew said to Akio, "Why is that?"
"After seeing that I had no chance of defeating his armor, there is no reason to waste my energy," Akio stated, "Besides, we Orochi tend to go for weak spots and that helmet will not protect him from a Kunai going into his face."
"Well that's if you could hit us with that thing, a Legate will not just stand there and let you throw that thing," Marius scoffed, "A Legate would be moving."
"And do you have a better weapon in mind?" Akio questioned.
"I have a weapon you wouldn't see coming," Marius finished.
The Legate comes in a deceptive but lethal improvised weapon:
The Imperial Dolabra, an engineers tool turned hard-hitting weapons.
(Shows an Imperial Legate grab a Dolabra during a Stormcloak ambush in their camp and impale a rebel with the pike end.)
"The Dolabra used by the Imperial Legion is similar to the one used by the Roman in our world. It's a metalhead and pike with a wood shaft. It is used for digging trenches, mining, or as an improvised weapon in case you couldn't get to your normal weapon," Danny stated, showing off a model.
(Shows the group standing by an armored dummy with Marius holding on to his dolabra.)
"Your test is simple Marius, we want to see the damage and penetration power of the dolabra on the Orochi Armor," Matthew said, "Think you can do it."
"This can go through stone," Marius said, "Wood and leather is an afterthought."
Marius got into position and got into a fighting stance, waiting for the signal.
"Alright, GO!" Matthew yelled.
With a war cry, Marius took the blade end and swing into the chest plate of the armor, going straight through it and into the dummy's chest captivity. After pulling the dolabra out of the dummy, he took the pike end and did an overhead strike with it that went straight through the helmet and into the head. After the display of violence, Marius simply backed up without trying to get the dolabra out of the dummy's head. Dr. Ronald came up to check the damage.
"Well I can see that this weapon can go straight through the Orochi's armor like nothing," Dr. Ronald said, "The first blow would go right through the heart, meaning instant death. The shot to the head is another instant kill, all you need is four inches into the brain and you're done for."
"That is a weapon? I see it as a clumsy attempt at defense," Akio stated, "No Orochi would be hurt by that thing, if he or she were, they would commit seppuku rather than live with that shame."
"Whatever, this is a legitimate killing tool," Marius countered, "I've seen this weapon kill hundreds of men and mer."
The Orochi's Kunai or Legate's Dolabra, which weapon gives their warrior the edge in Special Weapons.
"While the Kunai is a neat little weapon that can be versatile, the Dolabra's ability to go straight through the armor of the Orochi whereas the Kunai couldn't give it the edge," Jesse explained.
In Special Weapons, EDGE: Imperial Legate.
Now we evaluate our warriors X-Factor, one defining attribute they alone carry into the fight. The Orochi's X-Factor is they are trained to be a super-soldier.
"There are very few of us after the Great Cataclysm devastated our people. From the day we are chosen, we are trained to be equal to one hundred of our enemies normal soldiers. We are considered the elite of the Dawn Empire, bodyguards to the emperors and during times of war, elite assassins that kill enemies of our people," Akio said, "But as I said, we are few in number, so our influence on the battlefield is limited."
For the Imperial Legate, the X-Factor is that they fight through the ranks to earn their position.
"Every Legate I know of, including myself, have had to fight in battle to get this rank. You have to have at least a decade of experience to be even considered for Legate, with the expectation of special cases," Marius said, "Of course there are those who are appointed Legate due to some political clout, as the son of a Count in Cyrodill or a Jarl's son from Skyrim but most of them are rear guard types or garrison commanders, nothing more. The battlefield Legates are men who have fought and bled for the empire."
Next up, THE FINAL BATTLE! Dawn Empire Orochi or Imperial Legate, who will be the DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
XXXXXXXXXX
With our tests complete and X-Factor evaluated, we are one step closer to determining the Deadliest Warrior!
We tested four weapons that the Dawn Empire Orochi used to slay their enemies: The Katana, Yari Spear, Yumi Bow, and Arrow and Kunais.
We also tested four weapons that the Imperial Legate used to cut down their foes: The Imperial Spatha, Imperial War Hammer, Imperial Bow, and Arrow and Imperial Dolabra.
In Short Range Weapons, both the Katana and Spatha proved to be equally lethal.
EDGE: Even
In Mid Range Weapons: The Imperial War Hammer's devastating damage and versatility beat out the Yari.
EDGE: Imperial Legate
In Long Range Weapons, The accuracy of the Yumi defeated the Imperial Bow.
EDGE: Dawn Empire Orochi
And in Special Weapons, the penetrating power of the Imperial Dolabra outdid the Kunais.
EDGE: Imperial Legate
The battle simulator will be set for five thousand battles. The Fast and Deadly Orochi or the Tough and Experienced Legate.
ONE SHALL STAND, ONE SHALL FALL!
Jesse enters the last of the data in the simulator and hits the enter button.
The Battle:
In a forest that transcends time and space, an Orochi from the Dawn Empire is walking northward, he has been separated from the main army and he was trying to get back to them. The army had encountered a foreign power that was not Viking or Knight and every man and woman was need to fight them off. He is wearing his wood and leather armor, which gave him a perfect blend of protection and speed. He has his trusted katana at his side, carrying his Yari in his hand, his Yumi Bow and quiver of arrows strapped on his back and several kunais on his person.
Meanwhile, a Legate of the Imperial Army is heading southward. He too was lost, searching for his camp. The Empire had found out about new lands that they sought to absorb into their lands. The people there were determined to fight them but he knew it would be a matter of time before the forces of the Emperor would prevail. At his right side is his Imperial Spatha, carrying his Imperial Warhammer, Imperial Bow, and quiver of arrows on his back and his Dolabra at his left side.
As he rounded a tree, the Legate came into view of the Orochi, both of the warriors froze in their spots and stared at each other for a few moments. Soon both men dropped their other weapons in their hands and took out the bows. The Legate is faster in getting out his bow and notches it just as the Orochi gets arrow ready. He draws back and fires his arrow but the projectile goes slightly away from the Orochi.
The Orochi soon aimed with his Yumi and fires at the Legate. The arrow flew towards him and hit him in the chest but it bounced off the heavy armor of the Legate. The blow however made the Legate stumble a few steps. The Orochi managed to notch another arrow and fires, looking to brain the Legate. However, the Legate had moved out of the way, behind the tree for cover but not before grabbing his war hammer.
The Orochi decided to drop his Yumi and pick up his Yari, determined to finish off this opponent. As he made his way slowly towards the tree, his spear at the ready. He soon turned the corner, ready to strike but was met with nothing. Soon his ears picked up movement behind him and he instinctively ducked. Where his head was a moment ago, a large hammer swung past and it the tree. The Orochi backed up to see the legate recover from the blow with his War Hammer in hand, he soon began to menacingly march up to him ready to bash his skull in.
The Orochi stabbed at hi with his Yari but the Legate's armor deflected the blow to his torso. In retaliation, the Legate tried to swing his war hammer at the Orochi but he simply rolled under the powerful swing. The Legate pressed the attack with flipping the hammer to the pike end and trying an overhead strike. Again the Orochi sidestepped the blow and the pike was driven into the earth.
Capitalizing on this, the Orochi kicked at the shaft of the weapon and broke it. This action made the Legate back up and without thinking, he grabbed his Dolabra from his side. The Orochi tried to press his advantage with him slashing and stabbing at the Legate, which were either sidestepped or deflected by his armor. The Orochi tried to stab him again but the Legate managed to hook the Yari and wrest it from his hands.
With his opponent disarmed, the Legate tried to attack the Orochi with his Dolabra, but the Asian-like warrior managed to dodge all of the shots, he soon produced a kunai and threw it at the Legate, it hit him in the chest. The blow was deflected by the armor but the Orochi knew that would happen. The blow made the Legate back up enough for the Orochi to unsheathe his katana. When the Legate saw this, he looked at his dolabra for a second before he tossed it to the side. He soon unsheathed his Spatha as well.
Both men decided it was time to end this, they would fight like warriors.
The two men circled each other for a few moments, waiting for the other to make the first move. The Legate soon let out a war cry before rushing the Orochi. The Imperial slashes at his opponent but the Orochi parries each blow, steel clashing steel each time. Soon the Orochi goes on the offensive, the Legate now on defense. The Orochi tried to get past the Legate's heavy armor but each slash just glances off his armor. The Legate soon slashes at the Orochi's arm, managing to draw blood. The Orochi yelps out in pain and the Legate soon presses his attack.
The two warriors again clash, steel striking steel rings out. However, the Orochi soon noticed something about the man's armor and knew how he could end the fight. When the Legate tried to slash him, the Orochi ducked and made his way behind the Legate. He soon lashed out with his katana, slicing into the Legate's exposed hamstrings. The Legate roars in pain as his feet give out on his and he drops to his knees, his helmet falling off his head
With his enemy incapacitated, the Orochi takes his katana and drives the tip into the fleshy neck of the Legate. All the Legate could do was stare blankly into the middle distance as blood came out of his mouth. The Orochi then twisted the blade, to finish the job. As soon as the Orochi ripped the blade out of him, the Legate fell over dead.
With his opponent dead, the Orochi uses his sleeve to clean the blood off of it and then sheathes it. He soon turns, clutching his wound, and walks away.

"These Legates are worthy warriors, to be respected," Akio stated, "But when pitted against us, the Orochi's, they will meet the Deadliest Warrior."
(The last scene shows the Dawn Empire and the Imperial Legion clashing, the Orochi is seen slaying many ordinary legionnaires with ease.)

Authors Notes:
Damn, it's been over a year since I updated this sucker. I apologize for that. My job keeps me busy but it was my old computer taking a crap on me that did it in for me. I did not have backups in place and I had to go into debt to get a new one. I started on this again only for me to accidentally delete all my files again, forcing me to reboot and restart again. Plus this whole pandemic has been a buzzkill of its own. Hopefully, I can have the new chapter out a lot sooner, luckily I'm less active on DeviantArt due do the new layout not being as friendly as it used to be.
