Author's Note: I re-did Chapter 133: Loss (Buffy's Funeral). I re-ordered some of the scenes. Such as the funeral home scene as well as the scene about the program which now happens before Dawn's attempt to bring Buffy back. It just made more sense to have those two before Dawn's attempt to bring Buffy back. I also removed Paige from Dawn's attempt to bring Buffy back. As I went back I realized it didn't make sense Paige being there trying to help bring Buffy back. Why would she, I could see Dawn yes, especially when in canon she had tried bringing Joyce back, so its in character for her. I also rewrote the chapter a little, it's now a thousand words longer.

Chapter 166: Bad, Bad. Bad World Pt. 2

Evil Payson's P5

Payson's P5 in this reality had obviously been turned into a strip club. There were scantily clad women dancing up on stage. Darryl sat on a seat getting a lap dance from one of the girls when Paige, Phoebe, Buffy, and Dawn walked up to him. "Well, it looks like everybody's enjoying themselves," Paige said.

"Including Darryl," Phoebe said.

"Just remember, we're used to this," Dawn said. "Especially you, Buffy, since you own the place."

"Right. Think mean," Paige agreed, shaking her shoulders and loosening them up. "Think nasty."

A man walked up to Buffy, fully intending to pick her up. Buffy rolled her eyes and pushed him away from her, sending him flying back. "You would think they both customers and employees would know by now that I'm gay," she said.

"And married," added Dawn as they continued to make their way toward Darryl. "I think Buffy should be the one to address Darryl."

"Probably would make more sense," Phoebe agreed.

Buffy cleared her throat and a couple of officers walked up to them to block them from reaching Darryl. "Excuse me this is my club," she growled. "You can either let us by or you can leave."

Darryl waved the officers away. "It's all right. Let 'em through. I knew you'd show up sooner or later."

"How's Sheila?" Phoebe asked.

"It's all right, honey. I'll be here all night." Darryl patted the stripper's bottom and she climbed off of his lap and walked away. "Sheila who?" He looked at one of his buddies and they shared a laugh, knocking knuckles in some sort of manly gesture.

Buffy had had all she could take. She stepped forward and kicked Darryl backward, chair and all tumbling to the floor. The back of his head hit the floor with a thud. She reached up, grabbed a nearby bottle of liquor off of the waiter's tray by its neck, broke it, and held the jagged edge up against Darryl's throat.

"So," Buffy said, "I've learned a few things over the years and one of them is how to slit a throat so you die very, very slowly. Now tell me: Leo and Chris, where are they?"

Darryl gulped, careful not to nick his neck on the broken bottle. "Last time I saw them was at the police station. Me and my boys tried to give Chris what he deserved. But Leo orbed him away. I've never seen him run from a fight before."

"Where'd they go?" Dawn asked as she hid her hand so only Darryl could see it. In it she held an energy ball.

"If I knew, do you think I'd be here waiting for you?" he asked. "Where you been anyway? Undercover in the underworld?"

"Why?" Buffy wondered.

"Bright, happy colors? Not exactly your style. Get away from me. I don't want Sheridan to see me with you. She's been all over my ass." Buffy glanced in the direction of Darryl's gaze. Up on the stage, dancing on a pole, was Sheridan.

Buffy gave Darryl a hard shove on the floor. "Don't get up." They turned and headed for the door.

"Now what?" Paige asked.

"I think maybe we're looking at this all wrong," Phoebe admitted. "Maybe we all are."

"Come again?" Dawn said.

"If Darryl won't help Leo and Chris because he's evil, then they'd have to go to someone who's good, right, to help them?"

"Ok, yeah, but who's not evil here?" Paige asked them. "Where are the good guys, they hiding?"

"They're in the underworld," Dawn answered. "Demons are good here. And if I know Leo, he would have gone after the most powerful good demon there is."

"You're right." Phoebe said. "So, who's that?"

"I would say Barbas since Cole's dead and so is the Source." Paige said.

"Bingo." Buffy said. "Let's go." She flamed out with Dawn as Paige orbed out with Phoebe.

Good Underworld

Leo and Christ stood in the midst of a colorful garden. Barbas, dressed in white, addressed Leo and Chris with a smile plastered on his face. "I know the truth of all your hopes because I can feel your greatest hope inside here, the hope that one day to return home."

Leo and Chris glance at each other. They can't believe that Barbas was like that.

"Oh, and of course, your presence here gives me great hope, the hope that someplace there really is a different kind of world, a world where the greater good ... the, uh, the goodness of the heart prevails," Barbas said as he walked past them. He placed a hand of support on Leo's shoulder.

"Is he for real?" Chris said suspiciously.

He must be," Leo admitted. "Demon of Fear in our world must be the Demon of Hope here." He turned and looked at Barbas. "Question is, do you have enough power to send us back?"

"Oh, alas, no, I do not, not if you were brought here by the Power of Five. But, however, hope springs eternal, so I may be able to persuade the sisters of my world to help us simply by relying on their greatest hope, the hope to reunite with your counterparts ... and then ... maybe ..." Barbas waved his hand slowly and looked at his palm, reading Chris's greatest hope, "... you will be able to return to your time before it's too late as you hope." He moved his hand closer to touch Chris.

"Whoa," Chris said brushing Barbas hand away. "Don't touch me."

It was at that moment that Buffy flamed in with Dawn and Paige orbed in with Phoebe.

"Oh, thank god," Paige said, causing Leo and Chris to turn around.

"Quickly, orb away," Barbas said. "I will deal with them. I've done it before."

"No, it's ok. They're the good ones," Leo said.

"Trust us. They're not evil," Chris added.

"No, but we are."

Magic School

Piper lay on a bed hugging a pillow for support while Mrs. Winterbourney helped her through her contractions. "Breathe, dear, in long, out short," the woman said. "One in ... three short." She puffed out three short breaths of air. "In ... three out." She puffed out three short breaths of air again.

"Where are my sisters?" Piper grunted.

"Gideon's trying to find them, dear," Mrs. Winterbourne said. "Just try to focus on the breath. In ... " She puffed out short breaths of air as Gideon walked into the room.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Her water's broke," Mrs. Winterbourne answered. "She needs to get to a hospital."

"Did you find them?" Piper asked hopefully.

"No, not yet, but you can't wait any longer. It's not safe," Gideon answered. He looked at Mrs. Winterbourne. "Go. Hurry."

"Somebody has to stay with Wyatt and Celia," Piper said. .

Gideon glanced over at the children playing quietly in the playpen. When Wyatt and Celia turned to look at him he turned back to Piper. "Don't worry. I'll take care of them," he said as he glanced back at the two of them.

Good Underworld

Buffy, Dawn, Leo, Chris, Piper and Phoebe turned to see Evil Phoebe, Paige, Buffy, and Dawn stepping out into the open. They were all dressed in some seriously bad ass, black clothing. Evil Buffy had heavy black eyeliner rimming her eyes and making them look opaque blue. Dawn was in tight black leather pants and black silk shirt with the same eyeliner as her wife.

"Wow, I look bad ass," Dawn said as she smiled at her doppleganger.

"Thank you," evil Dawn said appreciative of her doppleganger's compliment.

"Just out of curiousity," Dawn said are you and your Buffy…"

"…married?" evil Dawn finished. "Yes we are. I assume it's the same in your world?"

"Yep," Dawn said. "Though I assume it was easier for you than it was for us. In our world it's unthinkable for sisters to be in love let alone married to one another."

"No such problem here," evil Dawn smiled.

"As much as I am finding this conversation interesting," Buffy said. "And believe I actually am. And I have to agree with my Dawn you do look bad ass, both of you."

"Thank you," said evil Buffy.

"Anyways, we came here for our Leo and Chris," Buffy explained.

"So did we," said evil Buffy.

"Fine. You give us ours, we'll give you yours," Paige said.

"Right, like we can trust you," evil Paige said. "You're good."

"Wait, you can't trust us? Who are the evil ones here?" Phoebe asked.

"Come on, ladies." Barbas said. "Have some hope. We can work this out peacefully."

"Shut up!" Everyone yelled at the demon.

"We'll take care of you later," evil Paige added.

Phoebe, Buffy, Paige and Dawn turned around for a brief strategy conference as their evil counterparts also took the opportunity to discuss their strategy. "Ok, we're gonna have to make a move because the longer the worlds are out of balance the worse the damage is," Phoebe said.

"We have to get everyone back to where they belong," Buffy said.

"Problem is, there's no talking to those witches. I wish I could just vanquish them," Paige said.

"Me, too, but that'll really screw up the balance," Phoebe said.

"We're gonna have to settle for knocking them out so we can get Leo and Chris out of here," Dawn suggested.

"Good." Paige said. "Phoebe, you and will orb out and Buffy, you and Dawn will flame out and we''ll grab them from behind."

"Perfect," Phoebe said.

They all turned around immediately orbed and flame out. The evil counterparts black orbed and black flamed out at the same time. Their orbs and flames rose up and collided into each other causing a loud and powerful explosion mid-air. Each group fell back to the ground, landing on their backside as they re-animated into their selves. They get to their feet, all of them groaning.

"That sucked," evil Phoebe said.

"All right, I'll take mine, you guys take yours," Phoebe said, stepping away as evil Phoebe stepped forward to join her.

Evil Paige held out her hand and a Darklighter's crossbow appeared in her grip. She hoisted it up and pointed it straight at Paige. Evil Paige fired, but Paige held up her hand. The arrow orbed out and fell to the ground. Evil Paige fired again, but Paige orbed the arrow out and it too fell harmlessly to the ground.

Dawn and evil Dawn stepped up together. "Do we really have to?" Dawn asked.

"It would be fun, don't you think?" answered evil Dawn.

"True it would be," Dawn agreed. "In a way I envy you. At least here you don't have to hide behind lies that you and Buffy are sisters and married."

"I take it, you have to do that," evil Dawn said with a sigh. "I feel sorry for you. No one should have to go through that. What's love is love. It shouldn't matter if it's platonic or romantic. Between total strangers or siblings."

"I completely agree," Dawn said as she and evil Dawn smiled. "I guess we got to do this." They both attacked.

Buffy and evil Buffy watched their wives for a moment before turning to each other. Buffy smiled. "I like your outfit. Not quite my style, but I still like it."

"Thank," said evil Buffy. "So Celia. Is she…"

"A damphir?" Buffy said as evil Buffy nodded. "Yeah. Sometimes I hate that our daughter has that destiny hanging over head."

"I know what you mean," agreed evil Buffy.

They glanced over at Phoebe and evil Phoebe. They were deep in an evenly-matched hand-to-hand combat. Dawn and evil Dawn were slinging energy balls at each other left and right. Evil Paige was still shooting arrows and Paige was still orbing them out. It was like watching two mirror images fighting against each other. Each move was matched and countered.

"You know if we fight each other, we're going to be the same as them," Buffy said looking back at evil Buffy.

Evil Buffy shook her head and said, "That's why I'm not going to fight you. Though I do admit it would be an interesting fight either way given what we are."

"True," agreed Buffy. "Slayer and witch. Multiple sets of powers on each side."

"On top of that we can read each other's minds and anticipate each other's attacks," added evil Buffy.

Evil Paige and Paige had the same idea at the same time. They each orbed a small boulder and hurled it toward the other. In the center, Leo yelled out a warning. They ducked and the two Buffys tackled their respective Dawns out of the way just as the two orbed boulders collided mid-air with the other causing a small explosion. Pebbles and other debris rained down on them.

"This is nuts. No one can win," Leo said. "They're too evenly matched."

"Well, they think alike," Chris said. This time, Paige and evil Paige orbed larger rocks. Everyone but the two Phoebes scrambled to find some cover.

"We don't have time for this," Leo said. "I gotta get back to Piper. We gotta get you home."

"When Gideon said something can go wrong with the portal, I don't think he knew how wrong." Buffy said.

"You said Gideon?" Barbas asked.

"Yeah," Dawn said. "Why?"

"Because just maybe he did know how wrong it could go," Barbas answered.

Magic School

At last, Gideon was alone with Wyatt and Celia. He slowly walked around the bed toward the playpen. As he approached, Wyatt and Celia both put up their shields.

"That won't protect you two for long," Gideon said. "Not for long." He spread his hands around the shield, palms flat facing the surface. He took a deep breath and concentrated as bolts of electricity emit from the palms of his hands and connect at the top of the shields.

Gideon started to glow white as Wyatt orbed out followed by Celia who flamed out.

Good Underwold

"Say what?" Buffy said surprised.

"What do you mean?" Leo asked. "Gideon is after Wyatt?"

"Not just Wyatt," Barbas answered.

"Celia," Buffy, Dawn, evil Buffy and evil Dawn said simultaneously.

"He was desperately hoping to eliminate them," Barbas said.

Both Buffy's cell phones rang. "It's Piper," they both said after checking their caller ID. "Hello?"

"Where the hell are you? I'm in labor, for Christ's sakes. Get your ass down here," Piper said.

Both Phoebes looked over at their Buffy. "Is she ok?"

"She's in labor," both Buffys answered.

"Who's that?" Piper asked. "You've got an echo. What the hell is going on?"

"We're on our way." Both Buffys hung up. "We have to go get Piper."

"And Wyatt." Leo added.

"And Celia," both Dawns said.

Halliwell Manor

Gideon, eyes closed and arms spread, stood over the Charmed Ones' Book of Shadows and read a spell out loud. "Wanton powers in this blade, yield, penetrate that which would shield." He looked up at the athame that hovered over the book. As soon as the spell was complete, the athame glowed gold as it was infused with power.

He reached up and picked the athame out of the air. He exhaled deeply as he held the athame in both hands. He turned and saw Wyatt and Celia sitting on the floor in the center of the carpet still protected within the walls of their shields.

Gideon took the athame and walked over to Wyatt and Celia. He knelt down beside the shields and touched the athame to where they shields met. Immediately, the power from the shields was sucked into the athame. When it was done, Wyatt and Celia were completely unprotected.

"I'm truly sorry, but this is for the greater good," Gideon said regretfully. He held out the athame in his hands intending to finish them, when the athame started to half orb, half flame out of his grip.

His eyes widen as he lost his grip on the athame. The white orbs and red flames rose up and hover near his chest. Suddenly, it plunged deep into his chest. He cried out in pain as the athame solidified. He reached for the athame and pulled it out of his chest.

He readjusted his grip on the athame intending to plunge it down into Wyatt, when he's overcome with pain.

Evil Halliwell Manor

"I'm truly sorry, but this is for the greater good." Gideon held out an athame in his hands, intending to kill Wyatt and Celia, when it flamed out of his hand. Evil Buffy suddenly appeared, the athame in her hand. Gideon's eyes widened as he realized what was happening. Without even hesitating, evil Buffy plunged the athame deep in his chest. He cried out in pain and reached for the athame, pulling it out of his chest.

He started to swing it at evil Buffy, but Buffy kicked his hand away just as both Dawns moved to flank their wives. Just then, both Phoebes and both Paiges started chanting as Gideon cried out in pain. "We call upon ancient lore to punish with the power of four, strike down this threat from both there and here, make him suffer, then disappear."

Gideon black orbed out, disappearing completely from the attic. Both Dawns reached down to scoop up Wyatt, while both Buffys reached down to scoop Celia up. Buffy and Dawn stopped and glanced over at their evil counterpart. They backed away to allow evil Dawn to pick up her nephew and evil Buffy to pick up her daughter just as Leo and Chris rushed into the attic. Leo picked up the athame. "This isn't going to stop," he said.

"What?" Dawn asked.

"Gideon's one of the most powerful Elders. If he wants Wyatt and Celia dead, he'll find a way."

"I can't believe it was Gideon all along," Chris said.

"Not only that but didn't he also change the future you came from?" Dawn asked.

"He did," Chris said realizing what Dawn had. "Celia wasn't attacked when Wyatt was turned. Which means he could create an even darker future than the one I came from."

"Which means we need to find him," Buffy said. "If he wasn't vanquished here, he wasn't vanquished in our world, either."

"So what we need to do is get everybody back in the right place," Paige said.

"Yeah, fix this whole nutty balance thing," evil Paige said at the same time.

Paige nodded. "I'm with ya."

"The problem is we don't have the Power of Five to open the portal." Leo said.

"No," Dawn said. "But we do have…."

"The Power of Eight," evil Dawn said.

Leo smiled as he realized what the Dawns had. With both sets of the four current Charmed Ones. They could have a power strong enough to get them back.

Magic School

Gideon and evil Gideon stood in front of their respective mirrors, hands spread, palms flat against the mirrors. They're both cast in a gold glow as they heal themselves.

"At least we're still alive," Gideon said as evil Gideon turned away.

"Only because we barely made it back here in time," evil Gideon said angrily and frustrated.

"Still, we healed each other and we can try again, especially now that we can breach Wyatt and Celia's shields," Gideon reminded his counterpart.

"But the sisters know about us now. Worse, the imbalance has caused a shift in both worlds," evil Gideon reminded his counterpart.

Which we should be able to use to our advantage to distract them whilst we complete our task." Gideon said calmly. "We created the imbalance. We should be able to repair the shift, and when we do, we'll make sure that the sisters forget everything."

Evil Gideon turned and glared at his counterpart. He then turned his back to Gideon before heading out of his study.

Halliwell Manor

The quinquetra portal appeared on the attic wall, glowing white. Buffy, Dawn, Leo, Paige, and Phoebe stepped out of the portal and into their world. Wyatt and Celia were sitting calmly in the center of the attic.

"There's my brave little guy." Leo said.

"And my brave little pum'kin belly," Buffy added.

"The portal's closing. We gotta get their men back through," Dawn said.

"I'll get 'em," Chris said as he orbed out.

Chris orbed out and Leo headed toward Dawn and Buffy who had picked Wyatt and Celia up.

"Hey, buddy. Aunt Dawn's got ya," Leo said looking at Wyatt.

"And mommy has you, my little pum'kin belly," Buffy added.

"Ok, so if Evil Piper's in labor, that means our Piper must be, too. We gotta get to the hospital," Phoebe said,

"Ok, we have to get the bag," Paige said.

"Go. We'll meet you at the hospital," Leo said. Paige and Phoebe rushed out.

"We're taking Wyatt." Buffy said.

"I'm going to leave him with the two of you and Celia while I'm in the room with Piper. Buffy you are the strongest. Even Gideon wouldn't be foolish enough to take you on."

"They have magic," Dawn said confused.

"True," Leo agreed. "But Buffy was the Charmed Slayer, remember, long before she was a Charmed One?" He looked at Buffy. "You already had multiple powers from the outset, remember? You had several powers given to you by both sides of who you are."

"Telekinetic flaming, fireballs, premonitions, augmentation, and let's not forget my super strength and all of that," Buffy said in understanding.

"Exactly."

Phoebe and Paige step out of the house and into a completely different world than the one they left before. Phoebe stopped and stared at what she saw. The sun was shining, the sky was clear and a beautiful rainbow painted the picture-perfect sky. The street was pristine clean and yards were neatly trimmed. Children shout and played nearby. Neighbors are out in their yards, a worker walking by sees them and waves.

"Ok, this is really ... strange," Paige said as she and Phoebe look around and notice more cheery, happy people smiling and waving to each other.

"Yoo-hoo! Yoo-hoo, ladies! Yoo-hoo!" Mrs. Noble called as she made her way toward Phoebe and Paige. "I've been waiting for you "

"Mrs. Noble," Phoebe said. "Hi. I was just coming out to move the car."

Mrs. Noble smiled. "Oh, I know. You're a busy, busy, busy girl!"

"Yeah, see, it's our sister Piper. She's in labor, and we're all a little crazy," Paige said as a patrol officer made his way leisurely up the walk toward them. The neighbors gather around on the sidewalk to watch.

"And I won't park there again, I promise," Phoebe said.

The patrol officer smiled. "That's right. I know you won't," he said pulling out his gun and firing point blank at Phoebe, who fell backwards into Paige's arms. "Wrongs must be righted."

The crowd shouted out their agreement and encouragement.

"Help!" Paige called out.

"Have a super day!" Mrs. Noble said.

"Help?!" Paige called out again as she slowly lowered Phoebe to the ground. "Help! Somebody, help!"

The patrol officer smiled and nodded his head. He holstered his gun as he walked down the front walk.

"Please, someone!" Paige called out as Mrs. Noble, satisfied with the judgment, turned and headed back to her house. "Someone, help!" She looked down at Phoebe, who was completely unconscious, the bleeding wound in her chest getting bigger. "Please, someone?! Someone?! Help! Someone, help!" She glanced back toward the house. "Leo?! Leo?!"

In the attic Dawn gasped clutching at her chest.

"What?" Buffy said as she looked at her new wife.

"I think I just go a new power," Dawn answered. "I'm an empath like Phoebe was before the Tribunal stripped hers." She looked at Leo and Buffy, trying not to scare Celia or Wyatt with what she was feeling from Phoebe's chest wound.

They rushed downstairs and Leo opened the door to the bright, sunny street. They found Paige holding Phoebe. Leo picked Phoebe up and carried her into the house with Paige hot on his heels. He headed for the living room where he put Phoebe down on the couch. Buffy and Dawn walked over to the playpen and put Celia and Wyatt inside.
