This was not the situation I was expecting today. It honestly was flooring me, but here we were. The entire League of Villains, sitting on chairs around the bar, as two UA students professed that they wanted to join us. It was bewildering to say the least.
To their credit, they didn't seem all that bothered sitting surrounded by villains. Shinso looked slightly bored, though it was hard to tell if that was normal for him or if he was actually bored. Mina seemed pretty happy to be here, for some strange reason. While from my memory she was one of the bubblier girls, it didn't usually apply to obviously dangerous situations like this. The bravery made her look pretty cute, maybe even cuter with a little red- Nope not going there right now.
I didn't bother hiding my confusion as I swung my feet back and forth, having taken a place next to Shiggy, who seemed just as perplexed as I was, though it was of course filtered through his usual grumpy expression.
It was deadly silent in the room, and I scanned the place to see how everyone was taking this weird situation. Dabi seemed the most irritated, glaring daggers at the poor kids, and the air around him feeling slightly warmer. It made me start to sweat a little bit. He was sitting right next to me, after all. If he burst into flames, I would probably get fried too.
Wildfire and Mr. Compress seemed nonplussed, with the former leaning against his little spot at the far wall, and Mr. Compress leaning casually on his cane. Plunder was next to Compress, and he shifted anxiously on his feet, seeming nervous.
Spinner and Twice were both clearly curious about the arrivals, though spinner hid it better, as Twice was staring at both of them unabashedly, while spinner was only sparing glance at them frequently.
Magne seemed suspicious of them, though it was hard to tell with her, and Kurogiri? He barely acknowledged them, still cleaning a glass behind the bar.
The silence dragged on, and I couldn't help but groan and break the silence.
"Why would you guys wanna join us? We're villains, you know that, right?"
Mina smiled and nodded.
"Yep, and we wanna be villains too!"
Shiggy seemed to finally snap out of whatever funk he was in, finally speaking.
"And why would two two hero students want to do that, exactly? To rat us out? How'd you even find us?"
Shinso spoke up this time, offering a sardonic smirk at Shiggy.
"Wouldn't you like to know, Mr. Crusty?"
I giggled slightly at that.
"Funny, but still doesn't answer his question, purple guy."
Shinso just cocked his head slightly in response. Shiggy sighed and scanned the room, before looking back at the two kids.
Aren't we only like two years older?
Right, we're kids too. Or you are, and I'm not? Or is it the other way around?
Ugh, this identity merging stuff is confusing!
That we can agree on.
Ignoring my internal dialogue, Shiggy motioned toward the door, and stood up.
"I'm gonna interview them alone. The rest of you, do whatever."
He trudged out the door without another word, followed by Shinso, then Mina, who waved at us, smiling lazily.
"Nice meeting you guys."
And with that, the door slammed, and the rest of us didn't know what to do. After about ten seconds or so, I clapped my hands together, and smiled.
"So, anyone want to do some icebreakers?"
Dabi glared at me, but I was used to it by now.

Ben/Shigaraki
Okay, what the fuck.
No, seriously. How the shit had things gone down like this?
I mean, it wasn't as if I had everything planned out and then two damn UA STUDENTS decided to waltz into the bar, acting as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
I of course showed none of my internal freak out on my face as I led Shinso and Mina toward one of the unused rooms in this place. There I could actually figure out what was fucking happening.
I opened the door, and walked in. This room was kind of dusty and smelled a little, but it had a few chairs and shit, plus All For Dick didn't put any monitors or listening stuff in here.
I pulled one of the folding chairs up and sat down, looking at the two students got the hint and sat down in chairs, facing me. Mina was sitting criss-cross, neither of her legs touching the floor, while Shinso laid back casually in his seat, seeming very at ease for facing down someone who could disintegrate him a second.
What a bunch of noobs
Insightful commentary, Tomura.
Like you could do better.
I ignored the manchild in my head and looked Mina dead in the eyes.
"How did you find us?"
Mina hummed as if in thought before her eyes widened slightly. She looked over at Shinso, who gave her a look that seemed to say 'I'm not bailing you out'. She sighed and her look turned serious.
"We…we're from the future."
I raised an eyebrow at that. The silence in the room was thick for about ten seconds before Shinso started cracking up, and Mina gave him an offended look.
"Really, Hitoshi?"
Shinso started laughing harder, before he managed to speak.
"Heh, I'm,*huff*, sorry Mina. It's just…really? That's the best excuse you could come up with?"
Mina huffed in irritation.
"Well it's not like we practiced this! What was I supposed to say?"
I coughed into my hand, and they both turned back to me.
"You're hilarious. Now please, tell me how you managed to skip from world one all the way to world eight. No warp whistle can do that."
Mina huffed.
"It's hard to explain."
I just gave her an unimpressed look.
"I have time."
Shinso piped up at that point.
"We've got knowledge we shouldn't have thanks to some sort of quirk accident."
I cocked an eyebrow again. That sounded a little too rehearsed.
"Like the location of our hideout."
Shinso nodded, before he continued.
"And how rotten society is. We want to help you tear it down, and build something better. We could be your inside men."
I tilted my head as I considered what they were saying. It made…sense, but it felt weird. They were definitely not here to actually join us. Shinso would never become a villain. It would prove everyone who said he had a villain's quirk right. So how did they know?
Maybe they're like you. They got glitched into the bodies of people here.
That…actually makes sense.
Without saying another word, I took off my glove and showed them the tattoo on my right palm. Their eyes widened, and Shinso seemed to whisper his question.
"You're like us?"
I smirked to myself as I heard a 'called it!' from inside my head.
"Yep. Now then, Names."
Shinso sighed, then looked at Mina, who nodded. They spoke one after the other.
"Anne Illyanovich."
"Jake O'Hara."
I shot up from my chair immediately and grabbed them, pulling them into a hug. It was like my body moved before I'd even fully registered what was happening. But it was alright. My friends were here. All of them.
"Can't…breathe…"
I let go quickly and backed off.
"Sorry, just so fucking happy to see you guys. It's me, Ben!"
Mina, or Jake, smiled and punched me in the arm.
"Same. Glad you're alright."
She paused, seeming to think of something.
"Though, I guess this might not classify as 'alright'."
I smiled sadly at them. Yeah, alright was relative. I shuddered as I remembered the animals, and All For Dick's lessons…before I snapped out of it. Shinso, or Anne, gave me a concerned look.
"You okay?"
I shook my head.
"Okay is relative."
They seemed to figure out not to push and moved on. Mina seemed worried about something.
"Well, we're here. What about Evan? I hope he's okay."
Shinso snorted.
"Okay? He's probably freaking out."
I smirked slightly.
"He's fine. I know he is."
Mina cocked her head, seeming curious.
"You know something, Handy?"
I scowled at her before shaking my head and continuing.
"Evan here, right now. Not in the room, but in the bar. I'll introduce you in a minute. But first…"
I sat back down and gave them a serious look.
"What was your plan in coming here, you dumbasses?"
Mina chuckled and rubbed the back of her head.
"Take the League down from the inside."
I raised an eyebrow. That couldn't be the only part of their plan.
"That's it?"
Shinso shook his head.
"Nah. Mina's just oversimplifying."
He smirked and began looking at his hand, beginning to list out the steps of the plan.
"The first part was to infiltrate the League. The second part was to gain you guys' trust. The third was to start leaking information on your activities. The fourth? Plan a raid to take you guys in. And the last part was to lure you guys into that trap and help capture you."
I snorted. Not bad, if they hadn't been totally fucking obvious in trying to act mysterious. Still, it was definitely the kind of thing that my friends would try. They were dumbasses, but they were my dumbasses.
"Sounds like something you'd do. So what now?"
Mina shrugged lazily as Shinso seemed to start thinking.
"What are your plans then?"
I smirked slightly.
"Well, I've got a few things to do. Front and center though? Kill All for Dick."
Shinso smirked right back at me.
"Sounds like you might need someone who can control people's minds for that."
Mina seemed to think a moment before giving me a smile.
"I dunno Shinso. He might need someone who can melt through obstacles too."
I shook my head at them. Fucking idiots. But I also had to do my best to keep a smile from my face.
"You guys are insufferable, but whatever."
I got up.
"Come on, I have to introduce you to the rest of the League. You guys are gonna need villain names, you know."
Shinso nodded, grinning slightly.
"Trust me, we've got that covered."
I shrugged as we made our way back into the bar, and gestured with a sweep of my hand to the rest of the League.
"Guess what? We've got two new members. Everyone welcome the UA brats."
Everyone had pretty varied reactions. Dabi had started drinking again, and didn't give more than acknowledging unhappy grunt. Mr. Compress had taken it in stride, simply giving a bow like he did to most everyone he met for the first time. Magne had raised an eyebrow, but otherwise didn't comment. Wildfire did the same, and Spinner seemed apprehensive, but curious. Twice still seemed pretty out of it (guessing that's what happens when you find out your dumbass niece joined a villain group). Plunder though…
"Yes! More people my age!"
The Pirate rushed over and immediately stuck out his hand.
"Nice to meet you guys! You're the really cool first years from UA right?"
Shinso smirked slightly as he returned the handshake.
"Nice to hear my greatness acknowledged. Shinso Hitoshi."
Plunder stopped a moment, seeming to think of something.
"Oh! If we're talking about real names, then…"
They trailed off a moment as he removed the tricorn hat and then his mask, revealing the face of a teenager, looking maybe 16 or 17. Short, curly brown hair framed his face, and he gave them an eager smile.
"My actual name's Oma. Oma Kizuchi."
I coughed into my hand, and he seemed to finally notice that I was still standing next to the two brats. He flushed slightly, then looked around in realization, only now seeming to realize he'd revealed his full name to at least 12 people, all of which were staring at him (aside from Kurogiri. Nothing ever seemed to faze them. Then, that was probably part of his purpose. All for One was getting a kick in the balls for that one).
"Eh, sorry. But hey, there isn't much of a point to keeping my face hidden, ya know? We're gonna be spending a lot of time together, so might as well get to know the names, right?"
Most of the league looked unconvinced, though Wildfire spoke for the first time in quite a while.
"Ryoma."
Magne whipped her head around and stared.
"Did you say something dear?"
Wildfire's eyes opened, red eyes looking around at us seemingly coldly, but I could see a spark of warmth there. Guess frosty the fire man wasn't as much of an edgy loner as I thought.
"My name is Ryoma Tanaka."
Himiko was the next to say something.
"My name's Himiko, if you didn't know! Himiko Toga!"
Mina smiled at that.
"Mina Ashido! Nice to meet you guys!"
She made her way inside and plopped down near Himiko, who giggled and smiled at her. Shinso plopped down on one of the seats near Spinner, who mumbled something into his glass. It only took another prompting from his new seat neighbor before he spoke louder.
"Shuuichi Iguchi."
Twice shot up from his seat, seeming pretty recovered.
"The name's Jin Bubaigawara! I'm gonna blow you away! You'll be pretty disappointed!"
Mr. Compress chuckled and looked around at the others, seeming to consider something before he spoke again, though his mask remained in place, unlike Plunder.
"A magician usually keeps his secrets close to his chest, but even he has to trust a few people. Atsuhiro Sako, at your service my dear fellows."
Magne smiled at everyone else.
"I prefer to be called Magne. It's the name I chose for myself, and I much prefer it to any…other names I have been called."
She frowned lightly at the last part, but seemed to regain the smile. The air in the bar had seemed less awkward now, and I chuffed slightly.
"Well, now that everyone but staples over there has shared their names,"
Dabi just glared at me, and I ignored him.
"I think it's about time we talk about what we're here to do."
Everyone's eyes were on me now, just waiting for my little leader's speech. I locked eyes with Himiko, who mouthed a 'you can do it' at me. I sighed, before I straightened up and gave a serious look to them all, aside from Stain, who like he had been the past weeks, wasn't there. But then, he'd gotten basically this speech from me when we recruited him, so he didn't need to be here. I cleared my throat, took a look at that damn screen in the back and began speaking.
"You guys know we're called the League of Villains. That's for a very good reason, aside from me not being very creative."
Himiko snorted.
"It's because most of us here have been wronged by the world, and for fighting back, we were labeled villains. The world didn't want to hear what he had to say, didn't want to acknowledge our pain, so we were called evil."
I saw Dabi look up from his drink, and Magne's face twist into a grimace.
"Society pushed us to our breaking point, pushed us down, and oppressed us, and yet they call us monsters."
Himiko and Spinner, or Iguchi, both made faces that said they knew what I meant, and though I couldn't tell under the mask, Twice seemed saddened.
"And yet despite talking of heroes and helping people, of justice, the ones at the top are just as rotten as the people they label villains."
Both Plunder and Ryoma shared a look, pain sneaking into both of their gazes. I filed that away for later, and continued.
"So what should we do if the world rejects us?"
I let the question hang in the air for a few moments. The air seemed tense as I had most everyone's attention now. Even Mina and Shinso were enraptured, though they knew this was partially for show. Not all of it, but a bit. Had to keep up appearances.
"We keep fighting, we fight until there's an end to the world that made us the way we are today, that drove us here. We tear down the system that keeps rotten people in power and denounces those trying to fix things as villains. But until that time, we should wear the label of Villain proudly."
I smirked as I looked around.
"Welcome to the League. Now let's get to work."
