Chapter 39- The One True God
Throughout a great many of their various journeys and adventures, they gathered many allies along the way and were held in high regard as heroes from the places they had protected from torment of being under corrupted establishment, enduring heavy hardships and bringing meaning to the lives of those who viewed their own as meaningless.
Zero's group came into contact with Falcon of Salvation, a very prestigious organisation who wanted to strike a deal to join forces. Zero accepted the deal once seeing that the two groups had similar goals and agendas, as such the Falcon of Salvation boosted their reputation, greater resources, additional members and peaceful negotiations with allies of the Falcon of Salvation.
However, this was all an act which Zero and his group realises too late. All were brutally massacred unexpectedly with Zero, Kira and Hana as the last surviving members, standing in the pool of their comrades' blood.
The head of the Falcon of Salvation, Waru held Hana as a hostage and would only free her under one condition. "You, Zero! Join our ranks and I might spare your precious friends!"
Zero tries to rationalise a plan to escape, not wanting to accept Waru's offer. Waru countdown for one minute for Zero to respond, the moment he does, Hana is stabbed in the heart by Waru's executioner. Kira angrily charges at the executioner, but gets slashed in half.
Zero freezes in horror at the scene, reflecting upon the time spent with everyone, Waru coldly mocks Zero. "And that is what happens when you pretend to be heroes…brat! You caused this to happen, everything that has happened in your life was because of you! HAHAHAHA!"
Zero unleashes the full might of the Phantom Ruby, manifesting an energised blade. "WHY MUST THIS WORLD BE SO CRUEL TO GOOD PEOPLE…MAMA, PAPA, GRANDPA ROCKY, MY TEAM, AND NOW HANA AND KIRA!"
Zero charged through Waru's forces, savagely cutting them all at high speed with homing spikes piercing through most of them. He made his way for the executioner, as the two lunged at each other. The executioner was slower of the two to deliver an attack, with Zero slicing out his head. Upon reaching Waru, Zero glares at him like he was his prey. "PREPARE YOURSELF, WARU! BECAUSE I AM TAKING YOU TO THE DEEPEST PIT OF HELL!"
With that ruthless declaration, Zero ended Waru's life in cold-blooded fashion. Alone once again, Zero lets out the sadness, the rage, the anger, everything next to the lifeless bodies of the two he considered his family. Ever since that day, Zero disregarded the ideas of peaceful acts and notion, wearing his now silver-coloured mask. He became bitter, cold and calculative, where he was given the moniker as the Malevolent Mercenary.
When at his lowest points, Zero recollects all that has happened in his life and was reminded of his, Kira, Hana and the others dreams to change the world without agony, distress and futility. Having his resolve reignited by the memories of his new family, Zero aims to do so by taking on the name, Infinite.
Infinite sought out powerful allies with similar dreams and ambitions, from a father who went on a violent charge for the perpetrators who took the lives of his wife and children (Kazoku), a young woman whose ability would soon cause her a cold death (Kori), a desperate brat looking for acceptance (Koshinuke), those ostracised for their unusual abilities (Kamereon), and falsely believed to be monsters (Shiki and Kaze).
Infinite named his newly organisation Chronos, with the goal of changing the cruel world into their image. "I need to be more than I am right now, free from the shackles of my humanity, with power above all…I need to be a transcendent being…a God."
Infinite allied himself with Dr. Eggman for a while, before betraying him once he had everything he needed from him. Dr. Eggman scarcely escape from the hands of Infinite, with the latter gaining control over his robots and begins the first stage of his plan…at Station Square.
At Present Time
Infinite wakes up, having drifted into slumber in his throne. Shiki meets with his leader, bowing down before speaking. "Preparation for the final stage of your plan are almost dead, my lord."
Infinite walks to the nearby window, gazing at his fortress and responds back to Shiki. "Very well, dismissed for now Shiki."
Shiki noticed a slight change from Infinite's tone of voice, and questioned this to him. "Is everything right, my lord."
Infinite, still in the same position replies back. "Everything is fine, Shiki. Just...recall the past."
Once Shiki leaves, Infinite looks upon the skies deep in his thoughts. "Kira, Hana, everyone...our dream is a drawing closer and closer upon our reach...it won't be so long for our ideal world to be made"
The final battle begins in the next chapter, along with the last part of this four part story.
See ya!
