Meeting New Friends

*Sally & the Nutcracker found themselves in a village full of half destroyed gingerbread houses*

Nutcracker: It's what's left of the gingerbread village. The Mouse King's work, no doubt. *they walked through the village, looking at the damage* I don't know things has gotten this bad.

*Just then, Sally noticed a doll on the ground & picked it up, looking sad. Just then, they heard the sound of a horse neighing. They followed the sound until they found a pink horse with blue eyes & a blonde mane & tail (look up "Marzipan" on "Barbie Movies Wiki"), attached to a carriage, in a pen*

Sally: Steady. *she went up to the horse & petted it* We won't hurt you. *suddenly, a snowball hit her in the back* Ow! Hey!

Nutcracker: It's an ambush! Take cover! *they ducked down behind a wall. they peaked over it & saw an orange male fox with blue eyes, a white muzzle, two tails, & wearing a brown hooded suite with a thick white fur trim & a criss-cross pattern in light brown, thin white fur trims across the top and a white bow at the front to secure it, two white, furry pom poms down the chest, white furry cuffs on the sleeves, a white fur braid with the same criss-cross pattern on as the hood (from his shoulders to his cuffs), brown mittens, & brown boots (look up "Gingerbread Boy" on "Barbie Movies Wiki") & a cream female rabbit with Princeton orange markings around her blue eyes, a white muzzle, Princeton orange markings on her head & at the ends of her ears, & wearing a pink & white striped, glittery hat with a black jewel on the front & white, glittery trim, a silver/white pom-pom on the top, a white ruff (circus collar) with a silver edging, a striped pink & white bodice, glittery material with a pink band around her waist, long & white sleeve with pink dots, a pleated light pink & white skirt, pink & white striped tights, white shoes with a pink flower & a black jewel in the center (look up "Peppermint Girl" on "Barbie Movies Wiki"), throwing snowballs at them* It's alright. They're just children. *suddenly, one of the snowballs knocked his hat off & they ducked back down* With very good aim.

*He put his hat back on. Sally picked up the doll she found, held it over her head, & slowly stood up*

Sally: Wait! We found this. Is she yours?

*The rabbit stopped what she was doing & looked at the doll*

Cream: Patty!

*She ran over to them. Sally gave her the doll & she hugged it tight. The fox looked hesitant at first, then slowly walked over to them. Nutcracker kneeled down to their level to speak with them*

Nutcracker: What happened here?

Cream: We went out with Marzipan to gather candleberries.

Tails: We came back and everything.

Cream: And everyone.

Tails: Were gone.

Cream: It was the Mouse King's army.

Tails: This is all Prince Sonic's fault!

Sally: Who's Prince Sonic?

Nutcracker: The nephew of the King who ruled before the Mouse took over.

Tails: Yeah, but he wasn't much of a Prince.

Nutcracker: The King left his throne and the golden scepter to his advisor.

Cream: The Mouse.

Nutcracker: Until the Prince could prove himself worthy.

Sally: Let me guess, the Mouse decided he liked being King. But what happened to Prince Sonic?

Tails: Don't know, don't care.

Cream: We're better off without him.

Nutcracker: It's dangerous here. We'll travel together until we can find you a safe home.

*They all got in Marzipan's carriage & drove out of the village*

*They traveled until they came to the edge of a forest. They got out of the carriage & looked down over ledge. They saw something on the path leading to the castle*

Sally: The Mouse King's army.

*A group of Mouse Soldiers were pushing carts full of candy*

Cream: Carrying what's left of our village.

*Suddenly, the turned towards some noise they heard & saw two Mouse Soldiers trying to take away Marzipan. But she got free & ran away. Then one of the soldiers looked up at them*

Mouse Soldiers: There they are!

*They started to run towards them. Then the rest of the soldiers abandoned the cart & ran towards them as well*

Sally: Come on! Into the woods!

*They all started to run into the woods with the soldiers still behind them*

Cream: They're getting closer!

*Suddenly, a rope ladder dropped in front of them from above*

?:*off-screen* Up here!

*They all started to climb the ladder. The Nutcracker came up last*

Nutcracker: Is everyone alright?

*They were surrounded by villagers pointing pitch forks at them*

Sally: I'm not really sure.

*Just then, a white male tiger with blue eyes, gray stripes, peach skin, & wearing a tall, dark green hat with a white & yellow candy cane band above the peak of the helmet, a golden star on the front of the helmet and another candy cane pattern on the top in the form of a spiral, a monocle with a gold brim with a chain that leads to the button on the right side of his collar, a red coat with gold, fringed shoulder pads, white cross belts on the front & back of the coat edged in yellow, two lines of gold braiding around the cuffs with two gold buttons in between the lines of braid, dark green trousers, & red, well-polished boots (look up "Major Mint" on "Barbie Movies Wiki") & a silver male hedgehog with golf eyes, peach skin, & wearing a white & blue turban with a rainbow feather on it, a blue sash over a white shirt with a gold button on the collar, white loose fitting trousers, & blue boots (look up "Captain Candy" on "Barbie Movies Wiki"), stepped up to them with pointed swords*

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Well, well, what have we here.

Captain Candy (Silver): A wooden spy. Some new kind of Mouse King trap?

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Kidnappers as well.

Cream: No! They helped us!

Captain Candy (Silver): If you have nothing to hide, you won't mind answering a few questions.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Come, children. Georgette will take care of you. *he motioned to a violet female walrus with green eyes, peach skin, & wearing a light blue bonnet, a light blue apron over a golden yellow dress, & brown shoes (look up "Masha" on "Barbie Movies Wiki"). Sally & the Nutcracker followed the hedgehog & the tiger into a tree, where an office had been set up* Let's start with who you are and what you're doing here.

Nutcracker: I'm Nutcracker. This is Sally. We're both victims of the Mouse King's magic.

Sally: We're trying to find the same only one who can defeat him. The Sugar Plum Princess.

Captain Candy (Silver): The Sugar Plum Princess.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): I've never heard such a ridiculous story.

Nutcracker: It's the true. Told to me by Prince Sonic himself.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Prince Sonic. He's the reason we're in this mess. If it weren't for that reckless boy, the Mouse King wouldn't be turning everyone into nick-nackes!

Nutcracker: You make the Prince sound pretty awful.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Awful? That's a compliment. He was useless, lazy, and irresponsible.

Captain Candy (Silver): Major Mint. You're forgetting that Prince Sonic was my friend.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Captain Candy. You're forgetting that I am your superior. *Captain Candy rolled his eyes* I had high hopes for that boy. Well, no matter. I've got more important things to think about. Like keeping what's left of our subjects safe from the Mouse King!

Sally: Then perhaps you should be looking for the Princess too.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): I don't have time to search for some Sugar Pie . . .

Sally: Sugar Plum.

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Well, she's an imaginary Princess.

Captain Candy (Silver): Wait, Major. They may be telling the truth. I once overheard the King telling Prince Sonic about this powerful Princess. The King himself believed in her magic. And we've tried everything else to defeat the Mouse.

*The Major thought about it*

Major Mint (Colonel Tig Stripes): Do you know where she is?

Nutcracker: We've learned she's on an island across the Sea of Storms.

Major Mint (Colonel Stripes Well): Oh, very well. We'll all go looking for the Sugar Plum Princess. But I'll be in charge of the expedition!

Nutcracker: Of course.

*They started to leave, but Captain Candy stopped them*

Captain Candy (Silver): Do you know what became of Prince Sonic?

Nutcracker: The Mouse King destroyed him.

*The Captain became sad as the Nutcracker & Clara left*

*Meanwhile, at the castle, two Mouse Soldiers stood in front of the Mouse King, terrified*

Mouse King (Dr. Eggman): So, you're telling me that the Nutcracker, a wooden utensil, managed to escape a well armed fighting squadron, unharmed. And instead of fleeing into the hills, you chose to return to me and report your incompetence!

*One of the soldiers nodded, shaking with fear*

Snively: Why don't you just blast them with your scepter, sire?

Mouse King (Dr. Eggman): I suppose I could. *he turned his scepter into a sword, making the soldiers flinch* But I find it's power to transform the incompetent much more gratifying. The trick is making you useful. *he turned the sword back into a scepter* Snively, how are we doing with statuary?

*Snively opened a door, revealing a room full of statues*

Snively: Full up, Your Lordyness.

Mouse King (Dr. Eggman): Lawn ornaments?

*Snively pulled back a curtain, showing a lawn littered with statues*

Snively: Too much ornament, not enough lawn.

Mouse King (Dr. Eggman): Paper weights?

*Snively flew to a cupboard full of tiny statues*

Snively: Covered.

Mouse King (Dr. Eggman): Oh, what does one create for the palace that has everything?

Snively: How about bookends, since there's two of them?

Mouse King (Dr. Eggman): Wonderful idea, Snively. I do believe I'm starting to rub off on you. *the jewel on his scepter started to glow* Since other tasks posed a challenge to thee, you shall be bookends for eternity. *he zapped the two soldiers & they turned into bookends. then he went over to a table & opened a book* Here it is. The Sugar Plum Princess. Kind, and clever, and brave. That's it? *he got frustrated & threw the book at a pillar* Where is she!? *then he smirked* I suppose I'll just have to reduce the Nutcracker to pile of splinters before he can find her. Rock that will walk, destroy who I seek. Carnage and havoc will be your to reek! *he pointed his scepter at the pillar & it broke apart. then it turned into a giant made of rocks (look up "Rock Giant" on "Barbie Movies Wiki"). it roared, making Snively scream, run, & hide* Find the wooden hedgehog and crush him! *the Rock Giant stomped out of the castle* Follow him, Snively. He's a bit rough around the edges and may need some guidance.

Snively: You want me to babysit a rock? *the Mouse King held up his scepter, threateningly* Alright, alright! Better than being a rock.

*He flew after the giant*

*That night, Sally tucked Tails & Cream into bed*

Cream: What about Marzipan?

*Sally sat on the bed next to them*

Sally: I'm sure she'll be fine. And you'll be stay here with Georgette until we get back. Okay?

Cream: Okay.

*Sally started to leave*

Sally: Good night.

Tails & Cream: Night, Sally.

*She went outside & found the Nutcracker sitting on a ledge*

Sally: Can't sleep?

Nutcracker: I'm a Nutcracker, sleep seems kind of pointless.

Sally: You're more than a Nutcracker. Prince Sonic. *he looked at her in surprise* Why haven't you told anyone?

Nutcracker: I . . . Didn't want to be the Prince when I had the chance. Now I don't deserve to be.

Sally: That's not true. You're risking your life to save your Kingdom. Isn't that what Princes do?

Nutcracker: But my subjects think less of me than they do the Mouse King. My hope is to find the Sugar Plum Princess so she can help me restore me people's happiness. I owe them that.

*He got up & went inside. Sally stayed outside & looked at the moon, thinking*
