When Yellow Diamond's foot came down on him, Tammo blacked out for a few seconds. When he came to again, he was floating in the air. He looked down at his paws and found he could see right through them. "What's happened to me?" he thought. "Have I died and become a ghost?"
Then he looked down at the ground. His gemstone was lying on the sand, but there was no sign of his body. Now Tammo figured it out. When Yellow stepped on him, she had poofed him, just as he himself had done to countless corrupted Gems. Now he knew what it felt like.
The Diamonds were now sitting down on the beach, sulking somberly. Although Tammo could see them, they couldn't see him.
"How miserable," Yellow said. "I knew Pink couldn't handle her own colony. But I gave in. And now, I'm to blame for her fate."
"What good will any of this do?" Blue said. "We could kill every creature on this planet but it won't get us our Pink back."
Tammo floated over to Blue. He landed on her head. "Blue Diamond, please listen!"
She couldn't see him, but she sensed his presence somehow. "What was that?"
"Pink isn't gone!" Tammo yelled. "I can explain everything if you just listen, wot wot!"
"There it is again," said Blue. She could just barely hear him, but she couldn't quite make out the words he was saying.
"What are you jabbering about?" Yellow asked.
"A presence!" said Blue. "It feels like…"
Yellow cut her off. "Please, Blue. You're being hysterical. More so than usual."
Tammo floated over to Yellow and landed on her head. "Listen, Yellow! Pink's fate is different than you think. She faked her shattering!"
Now Yellow sensed him too. "This feeling. I know it! It must be a trick! Show yourself, foe!"
"I'm not your foe," Tammo said tiredly. "Please, just listen to me. We aren't enemies, we're family. I need you to know… WHO I AM!"
He didn't know how he did it, but all of a sudden, a wave of pink aura energy blasted out from his ghostly body, emanating in all directions. The pink light enveloped both Diamonds, much to their shock.
"Impossible!" gasped Blue Diamond.
"This aura," said Yellow Diamond. "It's…"
The light got brighter and brighter, so bright that Tammo couldn't see anything. He scrunched his eyes shut.
When he opened them again, he was back in his body. And Yellow and Blue were staring down at him in surprise.
Blue Diamond wiped tears from her eyes. "It's you! Pink!"
