Beginning A/N: Okay, Danny's wives for this story have been chosen! To all those who sent in suggestions for Danny's wives, I thank you all. And I want to give an especially big shoutout to those whose suggestions I decided to use! Or, at least, some of them. Now, the list is confirmed, there is no changing it, so let's move on to the new chapter, shall we?
Disclaimer: I still don't own Danny Phantom, Ranma ½, Legend of Korra, One Piece, Rosario + Vampire, Total Drama, Spy x Family, Dragon Ball Z, Avatar The Last Airbender, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Star Wars, or Totally Spies!
News Spreads to the Family!
Miguel couldn't help but chuckle at what happened. The news that Danny's own mother had won several marriage contracts for her son and that he would be married when he turned eighteen was obviously quite a shock to the lad. He would have been more surprised if Danny hadn't fainted. He decided to just leave him there for a few minutes as he(Miguel) checked his phone and went through his messages. There were a few things that needed to be finalized in order for Danny to meet his future brides.
Twenty minutes later, Danny groaned as he sat up off the floor.
"Ohh, what a weird dream. I met a man who was the bookie at a poker game that my parents won, and he said that my mom won marriage contracts for me." Danny said, mostly to himself.
"Well, sounds like quite the realistic dream, lad. Because that's exactly what happened, albeit a summarized version of events."
Startled, Danny leapt to his feet and turned his head so fast, one would think that it would have snapped his neck. And there, sitting at the table while pouring two fresh cups of coffee, was Miguel Martinez. The same man from Danny's alleged dream.
"...Ah, geez! It wasn't a dream, was it?" Danny asked, though it sounded like a statement.
"No, it wasn't. Though, I don't blame you for fainting. Anyone would have probably done the same had they had such a huge bomb dropped on them." Miguel replied.
Danny just sighed heavily and took a sip of the coffee that Miguel had poured for him, grimacing at the bitter taste of black coffee.
"Great, as if my life wasn't complicated enough, now I have marriage contracts to deal with! I'm not even old enough to get married yet!" groaned Danny.
"Indeed, you are not. But as I stated before your fainting spell, you and the ladies in the contracts will only be married when you legally come of age. This will give you and your future brides time to get to know one another and bond romantically." Miguel explained.
To which Danny responded, "I just don't want any of these girls to be stuck in a loveless marriage if we end up not loving each other in the end.".
Miguel chuckled, feeling proud of the young man before him.
"Which is why there was a clause put in the contracts stating that if you and the girl you are engaged to do not form a romantic relationship upon the time of your eighteenth birthday, then that particular contract is broken, and she is free to pursue whomever she wishes. No honor lost between either party." Miguel explained.
That settled Danny's nerves somewhat, but it wasn't by much. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, or at least it should be, as he knows that people get divorced for a number of reasons. But he hopes that when he gets married to the woman he loves that it really will be, as they say, 'till death do us part.'. He just hoped that he could impress these ladies enough that at least one of them would want to become his wife.
"How many marriage contracts did mom win?" Danny asked, pretty much accepting his fate.
Miguel checked his records and hummed as he read over the information.
"She won marriage contracts with fifteen people. Meaning you now have a total of fourteen fiances." he said.
'Wow, fifteen possible wives. This is kinda overwhelming…' Danny thought to himself.
He was broken from his thoughts when Miguel pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. Danny, being a teenager, was naturally curious about who he could be calling. Especially at a time like this.
"Who are you calling?" Danny asked.
"Why, your parents, of course! They need to hear the good news right away!" Miguel replied with a grin.
Danny couldn't help but grimace. Knowing his father, he would probably scare away his possible future wives with all of his talk about ghosts and start trying even harder to get him(Danny) to become a ghost hunter like he(Jack) and Maddie are! As if he didn't have enough problems at the moment! Miguel put his phone on speaker as it rang a few times before a woman's voice could be heard coming from the phone.
"Hello, Maddie Fenton speaking. Who is this?"
"Hello, Missus Fenton! My name is Miguel Martinez, and I would like to talk to you and your husband about the results of a certain poker game that happened in Las Vegas sixteen years ago. Is your husband there?" Miguel asked.
There was a brief silence before a cry of "Jack, get over here! It seems that trip to Vegas wasn't as simple as we thought it was!" was heard through the phone.
Danny silently facepalmed as he tuned out the banter between his parents that could be heard over the phone. As if they weren't embarrassing enough, but now this whole situation was just getting more and more stressful for him. Danny swore he was going to go grey early if this kept up. And the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it was less how his parents and sister would react to this situation…
And more about how Tucker and Sam would react!
"...Alright, we will see you then! Goodbye!" Miguel said before hanging up. "Well, good news, Daniel. Your parents have decided that they'll be coming home early after hearing the news about their poker game in Vegas. They'll also be picking up your sister so that they can explain things to her on the way. So, I'll just take my leave and find a hotel to check into until your parents get home."
Danny just sighed and sat down as he said, "You may as well stay and get comfortable. Knowing my father and how he drives like an absolute maniac, he, Mom and Jazz will be home in about an hour. Maybe less.".
Miguel simply shrugged and sipped his coffee, knowing that the lad was probably right.
Oh well! Makes what will come next take less time.
***To Be Continued…***
Ending A/N: Okay, that's it for this chapter! What did you all think of it? Let me know in the reviews. I love reading the reviews that I get from all of you out there who read and enjoy my stories. Next chapter, Danny will be meeting his many fiances, which he is most likely not going to be mentally prepared for. Also, once again, I want to thank everyone who sent in suggestions for Danny's wives in this story. As you can see, he's not getting forty-two wives like Cody does in Cody's Totally Dramatic Marriage!, because that would be way too many for me, personally, to keep track of in this story. If this were a Naruto story, it might be a little different because… Shadow Clones. Also, the poll I had up for which stories will be updated next is now closed, so the results are in! The stories that will be updated next are Midoriya's New Family, The Phantom of the Empire, Izuku the Tyrannosaurus, Naruto Frontier, and Jedi or Sith: Protector's Journey, in that order. And that's all I've got for now. Thanks for reading and I'll see you next update, my hatchlings!
