Chapter 2 Orange:Resentment

They sped through the streets of Argus toward the Agus General hospital. A miltary truck sped through the queit and not so busy streets of Argus. Several people were up right now still trying to rack their minds about the events from Vale.

The truck kept going down the road for a good ten minutes until it finally arrived at a hospital. The medics from the bullhead soon exited it as they quickly rushed inside with Eria in tow. As they did the others soon left the truck joining them.

The receptionist saw the girl on the stretcher and immediately pressed a call button.

"Any doctors available right now their is someone in need of urgent care and sugrery now"the receptionist said as several medical staff where joining the soilers as they were checking over Eria.

Rogue watched her twin sister who was passed out on the stretcher in front of her. But she saw the tears streaming down her face. The blonde clenched her fist at this because she couldn't stand seeing her crying.

But right now she was furious, upset, and heart broken right now.

Jaki walked by the stretcher looking over Eria with worry.

"Whats happening? Is my little girl going to be alright?"jaki asked the doctors worried.

"Sir calm down we'll handle this"a nurse answered as they were slowly moving Eria onto a gurney. They picked her up as they placed the slightly paler girl on it.

"We need someone to prep her for surgery"a nurse said as several of them crowed the girl as they moved through the halls.

"Shes lost large amounts of blood, prepare a transfusion state to stablize her."a male nurse said.

The rushing of footsteps through the hospital halls toward a pair of double doors. They said surgery above them and the doctors rushed through them. The others stood their watching her go through as they silently prayed Eria would be okay.

Perun was ringing his hands together nervous right now as they stood their. Emerald was taken away from them as a doctor took her to get her leg check out. The piece of rebar in it was successfully removed but she was still limping a little.

Though the weaponsmith just stared at the surgery rooms doors nervous and worried right now. He couldn't help but lose his composer as today was a stressful. First its revealed their are grimm hybrids that exist in the world. Along with the city of vale falling under attack by this myserious queen.

Now both his daughter have experienced several terrible things in the span of one day. They both lost three dear friends that were close to them. But his own little girl lost her leg due to some crazy girl.

Jaki couldn't help but have a mental breakdown right now. He walked over to a nearby wall planting his head against it as he looked down.

"Why does this have to happen this time of year. It's already bad enough."jaki thought to himself as he clenched his free hand.

"My own brother died during this time of year, if that wasn't bad enough my little girl just lost her leg"jaki thoughts continued

Then he thought about how he's going to explain this to his wife. Shes probably freaking out right now about today event. But he also thought about Thetis, she just lost her only daughter today. She going to be devastated after today, it was terrible when she lost her husband.

The young assassin known as mercury black was doing his best right now to comfort rogue. She was balled up against a wall with her face obsecure. The girl sat their silent not evening moving it seems.

Soon he took a spot next to her as he looked at the wall across him.

"Hey blondie"mercury asked looking at rogue. But she didn't answer which worried him.

"Rogue…come on please talk to me"mercury said again

Weiss was close by watching this because she felt like she needed to say something at least. But from what Rogue said early it seems she doens't even wanna hear her speak right now. Winter was with the group making sure her little sister was alright.

Winter looked at weiss who was sadden right now, who wouldn't be after today.

"Weiss, are you okay?"winter softly aksed

This made Weiss look toward her and gave a simple head shake telling her no. Winter sighed heavily as she took a seat in the room they were in. They were in a waiting room near the emergency surgery room.

"Why don't you sit down"winter said placing her hand on a seat next to her. Weiss walked over taking the seat sitting their silently. She just sat their staring at the ground with a disheartened expression on her face.

The older daughter of the schnee family looked at her little sister worried if she was alright.

"Look Weiss…can you please talk to me"Winter asked as everyone else in the room just sat silent.

"About what?"weiss softly replied as she still seemed sad.

"Look Weiss, its not your fault for what happened."winter said as this got rogues attention. She looked up from her spot glaring over at the two.

"Seriously its not her fault….her and Ruby should have protected her"rogue said with annoyance.

Weiss sighed sadden by that comment as winter narrowed her gaze at the girl.

"Look Rogue, they did their best to protect each other. Their opponent were–"Winter begun but rogue stopped her.

"Their opponent that doesn't matter right now, maybe if she wasn't some weak brat from a well off family."rogue begun as mercury and jaki tried to stop her.

"Rogue chill out your going to regret this"mercury said trying to get her attention but she wasn't listening.

"Maybe if she didn't have all of daddys money, maybe then she'd be stronger. Along with being a better huntress. Then maybe my sister wouldn't have lost her leg or maybe helped Pyrrha before she died!"rogue shouted in anger.

Jaki got up trying to calm rogue down as he placed his hands on her shoulder. But she pushed him off her as she wasn't finished with what she saying. Right now she was trying to find someone to blame.

"Thats enough! You weren't their you don't know what exactly happened"winter retorted as Weiss looked down as she began to wrap her arms around her body. She was crying a little hurt by those words and even believing some of them.

"Oh shut up, you and those Ace Op were the ones who killed Zane probably"rogue retorted getting in the atlas specialist face.

Winter shook her head"those weren't our orders, we were to detain and return to atlas. I'm very sorry for your friends' loss. I truly am but blaming someone else isn't going to help you"winter said as calmly as she could.

Rogue glared at her before spiting in the womans face. Winter felt the spit hit her on the cheek and she lifted her hand up. She wiped the spit off glaring at the girl. Jaki soon came over pulling Rogue by the arm and placed her in a seat.

"Don't touch m–"Rogue begun but Jaki stopped her.

"Dammit Rogue, I understand your upset right now. But please don't start a fight right now"jaki said looking at her.

Rogue scoffed at this as she leaned back in her chair"what ever like they care"rogue retorted as she turned away from her father.

"You need to straighten up right now I understand your hurt right now. But you need to calm down and be here for your sister right now"jaki stated as rogue looked away from him .He tried to speak to her again but she just went silent again.

Mercury looked worried at this but glanced over to Weiss. She was crying as she choked a little on her sobs it seems.

"Hey Weiss you alright?"mercury asked walking over.

Weiss looked up at him and her eyes were red from crying. She had tears streaming down her face as she sniffed a little.

"No…she right its all my fault"Weiss softly replied as she looked down at the ground.

Though mercury shook his head"it aint your fault look, shes just really upset right now. I'm sure she didn't mean those words"mercury reassured.

"Really…because it sounded like she meant every word."weiss replied as she looked down.

This made mercury sigh because he hoped that wasn't the case right now. He understood why rogue is acting like this right now. It's been a pretty tough day right now. But right now they just needed to pray everything will be alright.

It was a couple hours later now as everyone was still waiting for eria to be finished in surgery. They all sat in silence not wanting to speak to each other right now. Because Rogue seemed to be fumming with anger and was upset right now.

Though soon enough several footsteps could be heard coming toward them. Rogue looked up slightly to see her mother Calida along with the Mckays family, the crosby family, and Thetis pyrrha mom.

All of them had worried looks across their faces but Calida looked over at her husband and rogue smiling a little. She rushed over as she went over embracing her husband tightly. He returned it as she separated from him.

"Ok thank remnant your okay"calida said as the two looked at each other.

"Yes I'm alright dear"jaki replied as he looked down.

Perun was sitting down as he glanced up to see his little sister running over to him. She hugged him tight as he returned the embrace holding her.

"Hey melody"perun said softly as his voice sounded sore like he was crying for hours.

"Oh thank god your alright son"Appollo added as he joined in an embrace with his son. Tempstas walked over smiling a little happy her son made it out.

"Sweetie everything will be alright"tempstas said as she took a seat next to her son. She placed a hand on his back gently rubbing it to help him. But Perun was upset as he leaned his head against his mother with a sadden expression.

"We saw what happened during the match. Did that thing get you?"tempstas asked as the students went wide eyed by that name they called rogue partner. She gritted her teeth as they mentioned that.

"Umm no…he never hurt me…why?"perun replied as his mother sighed relieved it seems.

"Oh thank remnant we were worried that those grimm or whatever those hybrids attack you all. "Appollo said relvied.

Melody just hugged her brother with a few tears in her eyes happy it seems. That he's here alive and well. The mckay family looked around the gorup wondering where someone was. Because Jaki called his wife telling him they were at the hospital.

But he didn't tell them about what happened yet.

"Why are you all near the surgery waiting room what happened?"gasper asked as he took a seat collapsing his hands together worried.

Jaki sighed heavily as he took a seat putting his hands on his head. Calida looked at him as she took a seat next to him wrapping an arm around his back.

"Yes, did something happen to tanner, pyrrha or Eria?"deborah added worried.

Rogue sniffed a little at the mention of those names. Because two of them weren't here anymore. And right now she just wanted to keep crying but she ran fresh out of tears,

"ummm…Eria…Eria is in surgery right now"weiss replied queitly as everyone looked at her.

Calida went wide eyed at the mention of surgery wondering what happen. She got up immediately walking over to the girl putting her hands on weiss shoulder.

"What do you mean shes in surgery? What happened to my little girl?!"calida shouted with fear in her eyes.

Weiss looked at her as she cired a little shaking her head. Winter looked at her little sister with worry. Rogue words must have struck her wrong making her think it might be all her fault.

"She…she lost her right leg"weiss simply said as Calida eye sunk.

The mother of the hayley household covered her mouth as she shook her head not believing what she was hearing. Some of the others in the room went wide eyed by the mention of that.

"Is she alright?"thetis asked shocked at hearing what happened to Eria.

"Oh Jaki man, how long has she been in their?"appollo asked

"About four hours now I don't know how bad it is…I just hope she lives"jaki replied with worry in his throat.

Thetis walked over as she placed a hand on calida who had a few tears on her face. She then guided her over to a seat as they took a seat with each other.

"Don't worry dear i'm sure everything will be alright. Your little girl is tough"Thetis reassured as she grabbed calida hand holding them together to comfort her.

Calida sniffed a little"I know…but why didn't you tell me about that thing on your team?"calida asked looking over at Rogue.

The blonde clenched her fist as mercury sat close by trying to comfort. He was trying to make sure she didn't get mad again and avoid another fight. She might push everyone away with how shes handling this right now.

"Don't call him that"rogue spat back.

Gasper rolled his eyes"kid that what was it….grimm knight caused this entire thing. He made your sister lose her leg"gasper replied

"How did something like that even get into Beacon ? They do background checks on everyone"tempstas added a little anger by it too.

"Yeah he probably would of killed your kids if given the chance"apollo snarky added

Rogue couldn't stand it as she walked over to perun father geting in his face.

"Shut the hell you dirty hippie!"rogue shouted as apollo went wide eyed.

"That is no way to act right now Rogue, I understand your worried about your sister. "Calida said as she walked over placing her hands on her daughter. She turned her around as rogue had an anger look on her face as tears streamed down her face.

She clenched her hand trying not to start a fight, but with pyrrha, zane and tanner death it wasn't really helping her keep her emotions under check.

"Your mothers right, sorry if you were friends with some murderer"gasper added as Rogue glared at him. She pushed her moms hands off her getting in tanners father face.

"He coudln't control his actions, some nutcase mind controlled him"rogue retorted

Calida shook her head"I don't care sweetie that thing deserve to be locked up or killed for what he is"calida said not relizing what she just said. Winter and Weiss alongside Jaki and mercury went wided eyed.

"Umm dear you shouldn't be–"jaki said as Calida interrupted him.

"Why shouldn't I there are people out their that are part grimm and it was on our daughters team"calida said

" How is that even possible?"calida addlooking over to the atlas commander in the room.

They all looked at the Atlas specialist who sighed"look right now we don't know where these knights are but the twelve of them–"winter said but gasper stopped her.

"You mean those thirteen, what every that kids name was is one of them."gasper added

Mercury got up walking toward the man anger"hey lay off man he aint one of them"mercury said

Gasper scoffed"Really you're all defending a monster now or something?"gasper said

"Yeah I am because she was right the guy couldn't control his actions so quit calling him a monster"mercury retorted.

Gasper pushed the boy back from him as mercury glared at him. He clenched his fist tight wanting to sock the old guy right now. But he hasn't heard what happened to his son yet probably.

He relaxed his fist as he stared at Gasper who glared back at him. Rogue couldn't handle it anymore as she couldn't stand hearing this.

"Stop talking about my friend like he's some monster!"rogue cried at the man rushing past the group. Then she ran down the hospital halls as her footsteps echo as mercury looked at her. The boy then took off running after her as the group sat their quietly.

"Whatever…hope they killed the kid"gasper said as Weiss flinched a little at this.

Winter noticed this and glanced up staring at the man. Then she got up with her hands behind her back walking toward the man. Gasper turned to her with crossed arms.

"What do you want atelsian?"gasper asked

Winter cleared her throat"sir, I suggest you stop talking about something you do not know."winter stated

"Really why should we our kids could have been killed by that thing"appollo said as Perun went wide eyed. Tempstas was near him and looked at him. Perun hugged his little tight as tears came down his face right now.

"Perun sweetie why are you crying?"tempstas asked

Perun choked a little as he spoke"its tanner…he…he…didn't make it"perun said simply as everyone in the room went silent. Gasper and Deborah looked over with sorrow in their eyes at hearing this. The diner owner just stood there in disbelief at what he just heard.

Deborah just sat down as she covered her face as she began to weep. She just sat their not really believing what she just heard.

"No not my son…please tell me you're lying?"deborah asked looking toward perun.

Though the lighting rocker wasn't lying as he began to cry more as his mother tried to console him. Gasper clenched his fist in anger as he walked over to a wall. Then he punched it as three of his knuckles busted open.

"Dammit! You dumb idiot, why didn't you play it safe"gasper cried as he looked down on the ground as tears began to stream down his face.

Jaki sighed heavily because another one of the family children was lost as well. Calida looked at her husband who seemed worried it seems as she went wide eyed.

"Dear where is Pyrrha, is she in surgery?"calida asked the obvious question on everyone mind especially Thetis.

"Yes where is my daughter is she alright?"thetis asked as the weaponsmith got quiet.

He gripped his seat tight right now as he took a deep breath. The man didn't have the heart to tell her what happened to her little was looking down upset right now because she looked over at thetis.

"Miss nikos"weiss said getting thetis attention as she turned to look at her with worry in her eyes.

"Yes dear what is it?"thetis simply asked

Weiss rubbed her eyes as she collapsed her hands together"Pyrrha…she…she….died '' Weiss said as she choked on her words. Thetis' eyes buldged out of her head as she seemed shocked right now hearing the news of her daughter's fate.

Her legs soon gave away as she fell to the ground as she began to weep for her only daughter. Calida rushed over as she began to cry too at the sudden news of this. She wrapped her arm around Thetis as the two started to cry for the former champion of sanctums who left the world too soon.

Gasper was still mad and seemed to throw the blame toward someone"if that dam freak didn't kill that girl then all our kids would still be here"gasper said

"Thats enough! Your blamiming someone whos unable to take responsibility for his actions right now"winter replied

"Oh why that because he still their killing people?"appollo replied

"No…because he's dead….he killed himself"Weiss said as the adult looked over at her. They went quiet a little as a few of the people got silent. Winter sighed as they thought it be a good time right now to let everyone grieve in silence right now.

Calida went a little wide eyed at the mention of that wondering what her daughter is going through right felt a little awful for all those words she said and the thoughts she had a little.

"Good one less monster in the world"deborah added as Weiss glared a little at her and the women noticed this. Gasper did too as he crossed his arms.

"What are you looking at brat"deborah spat.

"Stop calling our friend a monster"Weiss replied as she soon got up to leave the room. As she did deborah rolled her eyes as everyone sat their grieving it seems. Thetis was crying her eyes out at the sudden news of her daughters passing along with the mckays. Calida and Jaki were too as they prayed their daughter was alright.

Outside in the streets of Argus Rogue was walking down the street looking down at the ground. She was walking on the side walk of the capital nto exactly having a destination in mind right now but just kept walking. Right now she was will with so many emotions right now she couldn't think straight. She wasn't physically hurt but her heart was very torn that she witness her best friends death, her partner death and name being slander, along with seeing her big sister figure dead.

As she kept walking for a while as several people littered the streets. All of them worried about today events trying to prepare for the worse right now. But the images was still clear in her head today as she saw tanner get gutted in front of her, then seeing Zane goodbye message, then finally seeing pyrrha dead coming off the stretcher.

Though after a bit of walking she soon ended up infront of Sanctum Academy. The academy where her, Eria and pyrrha trained at with Perun and Tanner and graduated at.

The place was locked up right now but could remember something her and tanner did one night back in argus before they left for Beacon. A memorie soon came back to her almost like it was only yesterday.

Flashback

Rogue was carrying some sound equipment that was a speaker through the streets. Someone behind her undid a cord as they followed her through the streets to the front gates of sanctum. As they did they dropped it down as it feel to the ground flat.

"Alright wires set up you sure this will work?"the person asked.

"Come Slater have some faith"tanner said from the side smiling.

The boy known as slater rolled his eyes"sorry T we don't know if this could work. These speaker looke weird"slater said because the speakers in question where strange.

They looked to be heavily modified with a small dust capsule ontop of it. Along with that several wires and circuits stuck out of it. They looked half hazordly put in and suggesting once it was turned on it would blow up.

"Come on man, firestarter here got a magic touch with machines like her dad"a girl voice said joining in.

Rogue smiled a little from the compliment"thanks Orchie"rogue thanked the girl named Orchie.

Tanner smiled as soon enough Perun walked over with his guitar along with another guitar in hand. He handed it to Orchie who took it as the boy known as slater was busy now messing with a set of drums.

"Their you are perun you ready to get this started?"tanner asked as Perun nodded.

"You know me man i'm always with you"perun replied as he tapped tanner on the shoulder.

"All right lets do this thing Rogue you think these speakers will work?"tanner asked

Rogue hummed at his question"yep, don't worry those speakers from the music store will be fine"rogue reassured

Perun looked at her worried"it better or i'll have to pay for them with my weekly lien allowance"perun added worried as he didn't want to lose the five hundred lien speaker.

Tanner and the other soon got into place as they readied their instruments. Slater tapped his drumsticks together while Perun tunned his guitar. Tanner grabbed a microphone stand ready to sing till his lungs gave out. While Orchie just wiated patiently for the group.

Then Rogue went to the speaker as she turned a dial on it turning it on. It came alive as a small static noise came from the speaker it seems. The blonde sat their paitnelty waiting for her friends to play their song.

"Ok 3….2….1!"tanner siad as Perun strummed his guitar hard. The speaker emitted a loud guitar riff from them that seemed to go for people around them covered their ears especially some of the faunus around them.

The four started to strum and play their instruments for a good couple of minutes while a crowd started to gather around them. Some of them seemed to be enjoying the music being played right now as they sat their listening to the melody.

Tanner was smiling tapping his foot to the beat because the speaker actually worked and he glanced over at rogue. Rogue noticed this and the guy gave a thumbs up with a smile thanking her it seems.

This made her smile for the complement it seems as she hummed a little to the music being played right now. She sat their happy to be here with her friends.

End Flashback.

Rogue was sitting on the ground humming softly to herself the song those four played that day. It was so much fun getting that speaker suped up for them. It wasn't hard for her since she had her fathers tinking blood in her.

She simply just remebered that day was also funny because after playing for ten minutes. The police showed up as everyone started to scatter from them. Rogue along with Tanner and Perun were running like their lives depended on it.

But soon after they ran for about five minutes they ran into Eria and Pyrrha. Eria had an annoyed expression on her face that night because it was pretty late at that time. Her and Pyrrha came looking for her and then noticed the two with her.

They concluded they were in trouble and soon the cops came around the corner. The two cops caught tanner, perun and rogue as they knew the three along with the other two in the band. They sometimes would play in public places without a permit.

That night all three of them were left with a warning since they didn't cause any damage like last time. But their parents grounded each of them for a whole month of no horseing around. Though apollo like what she did to the speaker making it crank out more decibels than before.

But Rogue then looked at the night sky sighing heavily. She then started to cry a little as tears fell freely from her face.

"I'm sorry Tanner. I-I should't have gone after that dam scorpian faunus. Then maybe you would still be here…along with Pyrrha and Zane."rogue cried as she couldn't contain the amount of hurt she was feeling. She was anger right now but relized all the stuff she said to Weiss early probably made her hate her guts right now.

She was so caught up in her feeling she didn't hear the pair of footsteps coming toward her until they were right above her. She looked up and saw that it was Mercury and Weiss standing their with concerned looks on their faces.

Mercury kenlt down and offered a hand"need a hand?"he asked as wiess stood next to him.

Rogue still tears in her eyes as her lips quiver she lunged at the two embracing both of them as she cried into their shoulder. Taken a little by surprise by this the two returned the gesture as they held her close while she got it out of her system.

Five minutes later the three sat their on the sidewalk as they sat their silently. Weiss was looking down at the ground as she had her arms wrapped around her knees.

"Weiss"rogue said as this got the ice queens attentions.

"Y-yes?"wiess quickly replied

Rogue looked at her with a sadden expression"i'm sorry….I didn't mean what I said back their"rogue said as she buried her face into her knees

Though Weiss looked at her concerned as she walked over sitting next to her.

"Its okay…I understand your going through alot right now…but were all here for each other"weiss reassured as Mercury smiled at the two.

"Yeah, no matter me, emerald, Perun and Weiss along with everyone else will be with you every step of the way."mercury added

Though rogue sighed as she dug through her pocket to pull something out. As she continued to dig she pulled out the group photo they all took yesterday. She looked at noticing a few people missing from it.

As she stared at she began to weep some tears for a bit as they hit the picture. Rogue was crying agains relizing how she'll never see her friends again. She deeply missed them as she buried her face into her knees. Weiss and Mercury comforted as they sat their with the blonde for what seemed like forever. The three soon were joined by her parents alongside emerald who had a banaged around her leg. Winter was also with them alongside Thetis.

The group then headed back home for the night wondering what will happen next. But it seems Rogue has a goal in mind it seems.

Thats another chapter down, it seems that the hayley family and their friends aren't on the best terms right now. But rogue seems to be pushing those who are trying to help her away now. Hope you liked this chapter.
