In the last chapter rogue and jaune did some research on Team BRAS learning some interesting things about them. Along with that they have a week to prepare before they enact their plan.RWBY belongs to Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. I own the OC's, AU. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 6 Orange:Blonde Delinquent

It was almost a week and a half later from when Rogue and the others came up with their plan. For the past week it has been interesting to say the least. Her father Jaki apparently has been working hard in his workshop to help rogue with her little projects.

He tried to help her work on them by doing them himself. But she stopped him telling him she could do it and he allowed it. The past week and a half has been a little interesting. Eria seems to still be hurt from their friends death.

But Weiss,neptune and Perun have been helping her with recovery it seems. Though she did help a few times by taking breaks from her projects to help Eria out too.

Her father suggested she get a prosthetic leg but that idea was quickly shot down by her sister. She felt like she wasn't ready it seems for a prosthetic leg and wanted to give it more time. Jaki seemed to understand it and decided to not bring the topic up again for he apperently made her something recently while in the hospital.

Thetis has been coming by the house alot lately to check in on the group along with talking with her mother calida. The two would just sit in the living room as they reminseneced about all the good times they had with pyrrha her daughter it seems.

But right now the hayley household was pretty busy it seems. Calida was in the kitchen with mercury surprisingly as they were making lunch for everyone. Mercury wore his usual outfit he had on as he looked clean it seems.

While in the living room Eria and Emerald were watching some tv while they waited for lunch. The green haired girl was flicking through the channels to see if anything interested them. While Eria seemed a little upset as she just kept staring at pictures on the wall.

But meanwhile in the workshop Rogue was hard at work as she had a welders mask on. She was working on right now. Jaki was close by watching his daughter to make sure she at least got something to eat.

Rogue kept looking up from the workbench at a set of blueprints on the wall. She kept looking back as she was working on a small circular like device. It looked to a shield more importantly Akouo, pyrrha shield.

After a bit of time jaki slowly walked over looking over her shoulder.

"Hmm so what pray tell are you making here?"jaki aske knowingly.

"Oh you know a shield what does it look like?"rogue asked

"A frisbe maybe…I don't know you always make something interesting it seems."jaki replied smiling.

"Really like what dad, because I've made alot of impressive things here"rogue replied

Jaki narrowed his gaze at her"Really what about that time you tried to make what was it….a elmental dust flamethrower"jaki said as rogue tensed up a little.

She vividly recalled that day because she wanted to make a flamethrower that took all dust types. But she wanted to combine two of them simutansoeusly at once. Though she also recalled desroying a tree in the local park.

Tanner and Perun along with Eria helped her with it. Pyrrha was their too trying to convince her not to do it. But tanner was for it the entire time telling her to shot above him and Perun. Perun was just scared the entire time while it just sat by at the ready incase something happened.

She tested it and it indeed did work….for like ten seconds. After holding the trigger down it blew up in her face covering her in smoke. But the flamethrower shot out fire and eletrcity dust at the same time. It burned the tree down and they got grounded for an entire two weeks.

"Ohhhh yeah that….it worked though"rogue replied smiling as jaki chuckled at her.

"It did indeed work , but you did make the city pay for the damages. Which was about six hundred lien"jaki replied

"Heh sorry"rogue aplogized but jaki quickly waved it off.

"Don't worrie sweetie, its in the past right now. "Jaki reassured her as rogue kept working on her little project. As she did soon enough she was finished and she look at her work proud it seems. Their in her hands was her new shield that seemed to collapse in on it self. It was decorated with gold and red accent to it. It was all ciruclar now with her emblem in the center of it. It had some strapped on it so she could tie it too her wrist.

But behind the shield where the straps were four initials it seems. One was a P for Pyrrha, another was a T for Tanner, a third a C for Cinder, and finally a Z for her partner Zane. She smiled at her work and set it down gently.

Soon the door next to them opened as she looked over to see her mother their.

"Hey you two lunch is ready why don't you come out of your little den"calida said

"Its not a den mom…its where art is made"rogue replied joking.

"Really your art involves making weapons of mass destruction"calida retorted as jaki shook his head.

"How else will we pay for out house dear, along with many other things"jaki said as he walked over kissing his wife on the cheek. Calida rolled her eyes as she motioned for the two to come with her.

They did as Rogue turned off the blowtorch that was on while picking up some of the tools she used. She fianlly got down with akouo after two days of hard work. Jaune sword was already finished along with his sheild. Later her along with merucry and emerald were going to meet him at a local cafe.

The blonde soon finished picking up the workbench making it look relatively clean. Then she left the workshop to see everyone already sitting down. Eria was in a wheelchair still as they cleared a spot for her at the table.

Rogue smelled the air and something smelled good, she sat down as she looked down seing roasted potatoes, with some small pieces of steak, and some green beans.

"Thanks mom"rogue said as everyone took their seats.

"No problem dear"Calida said as she took a seat with everyone.

Emerald took a bit of her food as her eyes lit up. She let out a satisfying hum which made calida smile.

"Seems you like my cooking"calida said.

Emerald took another bite"yeah…reminds me of the stuff amber made for us back then"emerald replied as calida raised an eyebrow.

"Whos Amber, is she your mother?"calida innocently asked as Mercury and emerald looked at each other.

Mercury sighed"no…she was cinder adoptive mom. But she pretty much took the two of us in"mercury answered

"Really…if you don't mind me asking where is she?"jaki asked calmly.

Emerald ate another bite of her food as she swallowed it before answering"shes..not around anymore right now…though she must be happy to have cinder with right now"Emerald said smiling a little.

Calida looked at the girl as she was close to her. Then the mother placed a hand on emerald shoulder motherly it seems.

"I'm sure they both are in a better place dear. Just remember the good times you all had"calida said as emerald smiled a little.

"Though despite that what will you two be doing?"jaki asked wondering were their two guest will be heading off to.

"Don't know probably somewhere we can stay. Heard most of the students are continuing their studies in vacou"mercury replied

"Really, hmm I wonder what Cardin and the others are up to?"rogue asked wondering what the former bully was up to right now.

"Who knows with him, ever since that punishment he went through he changed"eria added as rogue smiled.

Calida raised an eyebrow and so did the others. What type of punishment would change someone to change from a bullie to a nice guy.

"Hmm what do you mean by that?"jaki asked curiously.

Rogue rubbed the back of her ehad"Well you see cardin…kinda bullied our team for a bit. But don't worry he apoligized"rogue quickly dismissed any ill intentions.

"Really you never mentioned this before…what did he exactly do?"calida asked concerned as her motherly instinct kicked in.

"Don't worry about just some common things harassment, fighting, a few choice words. But he got a decent punishment"Eria replied hiding the fact from them that he pratiully hurt their entire with almost killing rogue with her allergies.

"Really what type of punishment did he get?"mercury asked

"He had to wear a sexy nurse outfit as his punishment for two weeks"rogue said as the room got silent. Calida chuckled a little at this as soon she went into a full out laughter. While Mercury just smiled shaking his head at that. Next time he saw the guy he was definitely going to ask him about this.

Emerald and Eria just chuckled a little while Jaki the ever emotionless just smiled a little as he rubbed his eyes. Rogue just smiled remebeirng that day it was pure comedy gold seeing him in that outfit.

"Seriously he had to wear that as a punsihment their? Thank god I never got in trouble."emerald added happy she never got in trouble when Beacon was still around.

"Oh my god…you two seemed to have alot of fun their"calida said as she wiped a tear from her face.

"Yeah we did…though I wonder how my partner is holding up right now"eria said as her face had a look of worry on it.

Jaki looked at his daughter understanding her worry. He sighed as he set a coffe cup down he was about to drink out of.

"Don't worry about your friend she got out just fine."jaki said surprising the group. Especially Rogue how does he know onxyia got out okay. Did he see her leave or something.

"Wait how do you know dad?"rogue questioned as they waited for him to answer.

The weaponsmith took a deep breath as he looked at each of them. Then he spoke"last I saw a man in a large truck carried her off alongside several others. They apparently went to a hospital from what winter said. "Jaki replied

"Thats great, though that news report last week didn't show with some others on that list released for those who died during the fall"mercury added

"Yeah but i'm worried about her…I just hope shes doing okay mentally along with velvet"Eria replied as rogue understood what she meant. She recalled onxyia,velvet and zane being close to each other at the same time she hoped the wolf faunus was alright too, along with the bunny

"Don't worry i'm sure she'll be alright she has blake with her"emerald added

Eria smiled at that"yeah, though I wonder how everyone else is doing right now"eria mentioned.

"I'm sure they're fine"mercury replied as they continued to eat their lunch. Soon after ten minutes they finished their lunch. Calida was cleaning the dishes while jaki sat in the living room with Eria.

Though Mercury,Emrald and Rogue were getting ready to head out. But Rogue had a large sheath in hand along with a couple shields wrapped up. Eria looked at her sister wondering what she was doing.

"Where are you three off too?"eria questioned.

Emerald turned around"oh were going to drop off the shield jaune wanted work on. "Emerald replied

"Oh here i'll get dressed and come along"eria said but rogue stopped her.

"Its alright sis…i'm sure perun coming by later. Shouldn't you two have a little me time to yourselves"rogue replied

Eria sighed at her"look I know me and him haven't been with each other much this week. But…please just be careful"eria said with worry as Rogue nodded to her. They soon headed out the door leaving the wheelchair bound girl their sighing.

As they walked out of the house they began heading down the street since she knew most of Argus as they walked along the path. Emerald and mercury have barely been here but they got the lay of the land before. The cold wind blew slightly as it sent shivers up Emerald spine as she wrapped her arm around herself.

"Jeez why is it so cold. Is it normally cold this time of year?"emerald asked

"Well winter sometimes approahchs a little early here than most of the other nations. It'll be more likely be snowing by early november that'll we'll get snow so don't worry. "Rogue said as they pressed on toward the cafe.

Another twney minutes walk and they now were infront of a rather medium size building. Their were table outside for people to enjoy their hot drinks. While the outside of the building was colored dark green mixed with brown. On the top of the building it read "Whole Latte Love Cafe".

A pair of glass windows where their with some doors. The group looked through already seeing jaune their waiting for them to join him. The three walked toward the door opening it. Inside the cafe were some booths off to the right with tables decorating the center of the place. Their was a couch and a small table off to the right .

Not many people were here right now since most of the workers were hard at work behind the counter. As they walked in a small bell ding letting people know they entered.

Jaune looked up over at the three with a smile. He had a cup of coffe it seems as it was half gone.

"Hey jaune how it going"mercury said as they walked over taking a seat with him.

"Alright…though how are you guys?"jaune asked

"Eh could be beter right now if it wasn't for the cold"emerald replied

"You get used to it"rogue added

"Though i'm doing alright right now, good old helped me tune my legs up"mercury said as he tapped his metal legs with a thud being heard.

Rogue narrowed her gaze"hmmm I thought you didn't want someone messing with them?"rogue asked

Mercury smirked"i'll have a professional do it not someone who might put grenade launcher on my leg"mercury replied

Rogue groaned it was just a suggestion, she thought it be cool to have legs that could launch explosives at people.

"That was one suggestion…but lets discuss why were here"rogue said getting their attention on the task at hand.

"Right, so for our transportation tonight. My aunt Terra is sending me back to Vale tonight on a bullhead. I told her i'll be visiting someone in the patch there. "Jaune said

"Okay thats our ride covered but what time are you leaving?"emerald asked

"Midnight saphrone will be seeing me off since terra has to watch adrian. "Jaune replied

"Perfect. Though I found some info about our good old friend team BRAS"mercury said with hate in his voice.

"Really what did you find?"Rogue questioned wondering what he found.

"Well apparently if I recalled while we were with them. Rosemary was adopted by one creepy maniac we all know and hate"mercury said as he meant Tyrian.

Rogue went wide eyed at that as she clenched her fist"that nutcase is her father?"rogue exclaimed surprised as they told her to shush and she did.

"Yeah along with Scar being watts son which is obvious. Seems those two are in the family business. "Emerald added

Jaune cupped his chin"okay but what about the other two? Why are they even helping them?"jauen asked

Mercury shrugged his shoulder"don't know we tired looking at the library for anything about Bonnie. But nothing its like she never existed. "Mercury replied

"Though apparently Adder from what I got from Weiss, seems he hates all schnee. "Rogue added

"That makes sense, maybe they promised him that he get to kill the schnee family"jaune suggested as he drank his coffee.

But then he looked at the items the three brought with them. The sheathe especially since that was his sword and he knew they were done with them.

"So are you done with your little project?"jaune asked knowingly.

Rogue smiled at him as she grabbed the sheathe pulling it up. Then she placed it on the table in front of her. Jaune carrassed the blade for a second before looking at Rogue. He was asking if he could look at it and she nodded yes.

Jaune soon pulled his sword out of his sheathe looking at it and relized a few new addition to blade looked brand new as it shined in the sunlight from the window. Along with the guard and hilt being a little heavier. But gold and rec accent decorated it as decorated the blade hilt. Along with two initials on it for him which was his first initial and Pyrrhas.

He looked up smiling at her"thanks rogue…what does it do?"jaune asked as he sheathed it.

The tinker smiled at how he was happy with her work. She put in those initials to help remind him of those two time together.

"Well for your sword I added two new modes for it actually"rogue replied surprising the three.

"Wait so his sword isn't just a normal butter knife?"mercury asked

Emerald hummed"interesitng what are they?"emerald asked as she leaned back in her spot.

Rogue cupped her chin"Well you have your regular sword, but when its in your sheathe. You can extend the blade into a longsword for wider area of attack"rogue replied

"Really? Thats cool but i'm guessing theirs more?"jaune asked knowingly.

"Yep along with that you can use dust crystals to enhance it. Took the idea from my partner, it's near the hilt is a dust caritage loader"rogue said pointing toward a small hatch on the hilt. It looked like it can be slide open.

Jaune smiled as he looked at the shield next"alright what did you do to my shield?"jaune added

Rogue smiled as she brought the covered shield up placing it on the table. She slowly undid the sheet to reveal the jaune shield Pyrrha got for him. It wasn't any different except for some small slot of the side of the shield. But instead of the rounded shield like before it was his old heater shield. On the front it had his emblem on it along with pyrrha circlet in the front of it.

"My old shield…I thought I gave the one pyrrha made me?"jaune asked

"You did but I messed with it a little…thought press the button"Rogue said as jaune saw two buttons behind the shield straps. He scratched his head as he pressed the one above it. Then from the side of shield two hardlight dust wall appeared from the sides knocking stuff off their table.

A loud crash could be heard as a employee looked over at the group. They turned to the employee who glared at them.

"Your paying for that"the employee said as jaune nervously laughed. Soon he pressed the button again as the hardlight dust shield deactivated.

"Okay maybe next time tell him their are two buttons"emerald said as rogue smiled shrugging her shoulder.

"Sorry slipped my mind, though guess you saw what I added to it"rogue replied

"Yeah, how'd you manage to do that?"jaune asked with wonder in his voice.

"Oh it wasn't hard dad got contacts all over atlas. I asked him for some capacitors and hardlight dust. He got it and I implemented that into the shield, had to move a few parts around so it could fold up. I used most of the original shield for it to work.I would have added elemental dust to it but one was enough."rogue replied

"Jeez that sounds like alot of work how long did this take?"emerald jokingly asked

"Three days"rogue casully replied as she put her hands together.

The three went wide eyed at this because how exactly did she get this thing done in three days. It would have taken forever for her to do this, because doing something like that would require expert mechanic skills and engineering.

"Wait what?"Mercury asked, surprised even know he's known her to be a tinkery.

"Yeah seriously did you not get any sleep or something?"jaune asked

Rogue waved her hand at him"of course I did….for a bit, but besides that you like em?"rogue said trying to divert the topic. The girl hasn't been sleeping great lately. She had some nightmares a few nights sometimes and they were not pleasant.

She found herself at Beacon Academy facing down their fallen friends. Blaming her for their deaths or saying stuff they never usually said to her before. But she didn't want to burden them with her problems.

Jaune looked at her for a second before examining his new sword and shield. He smiled as he looked at rogue with a smile.

"Yeah…their great thank you for doing this"jaune answered and rogue appreciated it. The four sat their for a bit before they finally decided to head their separate ways and prepare for the night.

They walked back to the house and sat with Calida and Jaki for a few hours. Later Eria came back to the house with Perun after they went off somewhere it seems. Though the three were waiting for tonight to commence their little plan. The group had some dinner for a bit and just talked until everyone was ready for bed later in the night.

Hours past as it was now close to eleven at night right now in Argus. Everyone was sound asleep right now. Jaki for once was in his bedroom with his wife as the two slept soundly tonight. While in the guest room Emerald and Mercury were already up grabbing some clothes and other necessity ready for their trip.

Emerald packed her bag with some spare dust and clothes she had. As she did she looked at mercury as he packed a duffle bag for their trip.

"Hey merc"emerald asked mercury who was packing but answered her.

"Yeah whats up emerald?"mercury replied

Emerald thought for a second before sighing"you think Neo alright right now?"emerald asked

Mercury stopped packing for a second as he looked at emerald. He closed his eyes thinking to himself about their teammates. They don't know where she is right now especially after the fall. Though he hopes the mute girl is somewhere safe right now.

"Don't know mayb shes at her aunts place or something"mercury answered.

"You could be right…just feel bad about what happened to her family"emerald replied

Mercury sighed"look Emerald it aint our fault roman died. Those four goons of hers threatened him to helping in their schemes."mercury replied

Though emerald didn't really believe him because roman helped them out. Then his family got involved in something much bigger than them. Which resulted in them losing their father and becoming separated maybe.

"Merc its just I feel bad…we should have kept a better eye on her for lazuli. Their family did so much for us"emerald added

Mercury looked at her before stopping his packing before walking over to her. Then before she knew it the guy hugged her in a loving embrace tight. The girl then returned it as the two sat their for a second before they let go.

"Don't worry about it right now Emerald, we can't change the past. Lets just hope we can find Neo to make sure she's ok"mercury stated as emerald looked down before nodding to him. The two continued to pack for their trip.

In the hayley sister room rogue was busy getting changed into some new clothes and gear. She already packed her bag for their trip and it was filled with dust, ammo, medical suppiles, snacks and other items.

But she had changed her attire now to something different. She wore a pair of lightish black jeans with no holes in them comapred to her last pair of jeans. But she has a orange belt wrapped around her to keep her jeans up. But their was another belt that looped around some pouches on her side that were dark brown in color. Along with a small caribenner on her hip attached to a pouch. And connected to it was Embers gaunlent.

She traded out her t-shirt for a red long sleeve athletic shirt that seemed tight around her bodie. It pressed against her chest slightly showing her bust. But she decided to replace her jacket with something else. She now wore an orange hoodie that was a zip up. The zippers were silver in color along with it being zipp up halfway. Around her neck she wore her signature orange choker along with her signature flame earring on her left ear. She wore her signature red sneakers but they were a little worn now. But she also wore some vambraces and greaves for armor that had brown straps and the paint on them were faded and colored orange.

Rogue laced up her shoes tight as she stepped on them making sure they were okay. After a couple good taps they seemed fine. She soon got up as she looked at the small staff carrying her axe. Rogue then reached behind her back as it clipped on. A magnetic harness was on her back now.

"Alright thats done, now all we need to do is meet jaune"Rogue thought to herself as she picked up her bag placing it on her back. She walked slowly over to the door ready to leave but as she grabbed the door.

The girl turned back as she looked at her twin sister sleeping soundly in bed. She narrowed her gaze because she might hate her for doing this. But their friends needed justice for what happened to them.

She sighed as she opened the door to the hall quietly saying"I love you sis, be safe"rogue said quietly as she walked into the hall. Once in the hall she was met by emerald and mercury who were waiting for her.

They all silently nodded as they made their way downstairs quietly. Once down their mercury headed for the front door. While Emerald was behind him Rogue pulled out a small envelope from her hoodie pocket.

She looked at it and it was a red envelope saying its for her parents and sister. Rogue closed her eyes as she placed the envelope down and silently hoped they wouldn't hate her for what she was doing.

Soon enough she joined the other two by the front door as they left the hayley residents. Emerald slowly shut the door as they made their way toward the docks. It took them about a half hour to get their.

But before they did Rogue stopped by a small post office. She had another envelope with her as she deposited it into the mail slot before continuing their walk to the dock.

But once their the three were met by jaune standing their waiting for them. He wore his black hoodie from his usualy attire. But his chest palte seemed to be modified as it covered a bit more of his upper abdomen now. It was trimmed with gold lining and similar colored bracers he had as well. He also wore a pair of black glvoes with gold colored metal armor over his fingers. But around his waist he had a brown pouch wrapped under a single brown belt. Along that he wore dark brown laced boots. But wrapped around his waist was a red sash similar to what pyrrha had.

He smiled at the group"hey their you are guys I thought you weren't coming for a second"jaune stated

"No way were coming with you, not after all the work we put in for this"emerald replied

"Yeah, plus it'll be nice to see those two sisters again"mercury added

Rogue looked at jaune waist noticing something the red sash.

"Whats with the red sash?"rogue questioned as they all looked at it.

"Oh this…it's from pyrrha old combat gear…thetis gave it too me"jaune replied rubbing his arm.

Rogue smiled a little as she tapped him on the shoulder"it looks great on you"rogue complimented as jaune smiled a little from the complement.

"Thanks"juane thanked her.

Soon a pilot came toward the group with saphrone following him. She looked at the group a little surprised to see them all here.

"I thought you were just going jaune?"sahprone questioned her little brother.

"Oh well umm…I thought they would like to come see Ruby and Yang."jaune replied

Saphrone studied his posture for a bit"really, are your parents okay with this?"Saphrone asked looking at rogue.

The blonde tinker sighed at this because she might stop them from heading off to the patch. But she thought of something that might work in their favor.

"Yeah they're fine with it, were just visiting some friends is all"rogue replied simply

"Uh huh why are you bringing weapons then?"saphrone pointed out as the three along with jaune were all packed for a expedition it seems.

"Oh these we don't know how bad it is in vale. Never know if grimm invaded the patch"mercury simply replied as he kept a straight face.

Saphrone looked at the group as they were doing their best to keep their cool right now. Soon enough the older sister of jaune seemed to buy their little story. She sighed heavily as she looked at her brother.

Then she embraced him tightly as jaune returned the embrace. He was a little taller than her but she had her head turned to the side.

"Just promise me you'll be somewhere safe right now"saphrone said

"I promise, thank you for letting me stay here sis"jaune said as saprhone let him go from the embrace.

"Don't mention it have a safe flight"saphrone said as she nodded to the pilot who nodded back to her. Then she began to walk off away from the docks back home it seems. The four looked at each other before they began to board the bullhead.

"Alright terra says you all are heading to the patch. "The pilot said as she began a flight check for all the controls.

"Yep how long will it take?"rogue asked wondering how long until they get their.

"About a couple days, get comfy for now. "The pilot said as rogue nodded, she headed to her seat as she sat next to mercury. While Jaune and emerald sat next to each other. Soon enough the bullheads engines roared to life. It began to ascend into the sky as the engines hummed to life.

Then it turned slightly as it shot off in the night sky toward its destiantion. The four teens were getting comfortable for their long trip ahead of them. They just hoped they didn't run into any trouble right now. But they also hoped that their friends would help them on this journey of theirs.

Their off to vale to try and recruit ruby and yang on their mission. Along with some of them getting an outfit change for their journey to the patch. Though it seems rogue journey might hurt her family more than she thought. Till the next chapter!
