Chapter 18 orange: Paradon

It was now nighttime in kuroyuri as many of its people were asleep. Ruby, jaune along with the others in their group were sleeping rather peacefully dreaming great dreams. However not everyone was sleeping rather peacefully as Rogue tossed and turned in her sleep like she was hvaing a nightmare with swet coming down her face.

"Please….please….stop….don't go"rogue muttered in her sleep because she was turly having a nightmare.

Dream Sequence

Rogue was back in vale more specifically beacon right now as she was at the party they threw before the final round. She was sitting with pyrrha, tanner and zane. The four just talked to each other while she held a picture of her uncle in her hands. But as she sat their for a bit soon enough the iamge of her uncle changed into his corpse.

Rogue gasped as he dropped the picture as the framed shatttered to the ground. She looked up at her three friends standing their staring at her.

"Hey guys…everything alright?"rogue questioned as they stared at her silently.

"Guys…please say something…please!"she shouted with worrie as she backed up a little. As she did a flash went off as she closed her eyes. She opened them to see three spotlights on each of her friends she lost.

But with them were people who took them from her, with tanner tyrian, zane adder and scar, with pyrrha it was bonnie.

"What is going on? Please no…don't take them away again…please"she begged as soon enough it happened.

"Sorry firestarter I gotta go see yah"tanner said as a flash happened.

In his place was an image repeating over and over again of tyrian stabbing tanner in the gut while he smiled evily. Tanner had blood dripping from his mouth as he layed lifeless in tyrians arms.

She then looked toward zane who stood their.

"I'm sorry partner….the monster of Beacon needs to go"zane said as a flash happened.

Then he reappaeared as two version of him stood their. One with adder standing over his corpse as his khopesh blade dripped with blood. Then he took a video of his corpse while he talked.

"Subject omega is dead"adder said coldly as this repeated

The other image was him with his revolver in hand as he layed dead on the ground. With scar smiling above him. Then the image started over as it played out him in his slasher form stabbing penny over and over again. After he dropped her to the ground it flashed to him dead on the ground

"Ah omega you served your purpose but you needed to be dispose of."scar said coldly as he smiled at rogue.

Rogue clenched her fist in rage right now as tears began to well up in her eyes. She shook her head wanting to shout at them but nothing came out. She grabbed her throat trying to talk but to no avail as she watched the two scences play out over and over again. Finally it was pyrrha as rogue began to let the tears escape.

"I'm sorry rogue…i need to do what a huntresses needs to do"pyrrha said

Then a flash went off as she reappeared but in the coffin she was buired in. While bonnie sat atop the coffin kicking her legs with her sctyhe in hand smiling at her.

"Funny how everyone you cared about all died because they wanted to protect you"bonnie said as she walked foward toward rogue. She wanted to scream or say something but nothin was coming out. Along with that she couldn't move it was like her bodie was frozen.

Suddenly a flash went off as rogue opened her eyes going wide eyed. She looked to see her uncle dead bodie laying infront of her with his missing arm.

Then she felt someone place her hands behind her as rogue shook in fear"that day will be your curse because anyone you care about will die on that day…next time it could be your dear sister"bonnie said

Before rogue knew it her eyes went wide as she felt something in her chest. She slowly looked down to see a grimm like arm holding her still beating heart. Without a second throught it was crushed in an instant.

Rouge screamed in a terrible fright as she woke up from her nightmare as she sat up from her bed. She was breathing rather fast and her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest as she tried to calm herself fown but it didn't know what was happening. She might be having a panic attack

Almost immediatly she heard rapid footsteps coming toward her room as , jaune, ruby, mercury, nora, ren and qrow came running in. They all mostly had their weapon at hand.

"Rogue you okay?"ruby asked but she didn't get an immediate response as she noticed what was happening to her. Ruby slowly approahced the side of the bed and sat at the end. Jaune and mercury walked over on opposite sides.

"Rogue are–"ruby begun before rogue suddently lunged at her but not in a threatening way as she warpped herself around ruby for safety as she cried into her shoulder.

This was deifntily awkward because for one her boyfriend was right next to her but now she was suddenly crying like a child that had a nightmare. Carefully ruby placed her arms around her fellow weapon nerd as she placed her hand on her gently on the back of her head gently petting it as she gnetly shushed it. Yang used to do this for her along with her mom and auntie raven when she had a nightmare.

"It okay…everything alright nothing going to hurt you"ruby said calmly as she could tell as rogue was muttering something but outside of the room zuri was their as she was able to hear it.

"Please…please…please come back tanner, pyrrha, zane,uncle dravan….why did you have to die"she muttered as she cired into ruby shoulder. Who also surprsingly heard this as she soften her expression.

Qrow chuckled a little because it reminded him when summer was still around. He recalled how he stayed at the house one time and ruby had a scary nightmare. Summer rushed in with him seeing the girl scared sitting up in her bed. That partner of his walked over reassuring her everything will be alright. Ten minutes passed soon as rogue finally stopped crying as she cried herself to sleep again as ruby carefully removed her hoping she didn't wake her up. She placed her on the bed but wasn't comfortably leaving her their and so was mercury.

"Lets get back to bed. Look like she needs it more than us"nora said as she was about to leave the room.

"Umm i…I think i'll stay with her tonight. You know to see if it happens again"Ruby replied which stopped the group.

"Yeah same here don't want my girl having another nightmare"mercury added

"You sure about that ruby? I understnad mercury but you?"jaune asked concenred.

"Yes are you sure you two will be able to sleep?"ren simply said

"Yeah don't worry. We got this you guys go back to bed"ruby said with a smile they were going to argue but she pulled her trump card. The puppy dog eyes.

Seeing no point in arguing with her cuteness because it would be pointless they all returned to their proper rooms. But zuri was a little curious what extactly happened and she mentioned a bunch of people who died apperently. She didn't know who they were but her master said she seemed to be on a path for her friends but was doing it all wrong.

Morning soon came back yo kuroyuri as the sun rays peered into rogue room. Rogue groaned as she turned away fro the sun because it hurt her eyes. But she figured it worthless and might as well get up now as she removed the covers and sat up stretching her arms. Her feet touched the floor as she rubbed both her eyes to wake up but something caught her eyes as looked toward the head of her bed and saw ruby sitting in a chair as she was still sleeping. While mercury rested his hands under his head while he was on the floor.

Suddenly it she remebred bits and peices about what had happened the night before as it was almost embrassing for her that her boyfreind saw that. She remebred crying her eyes out on ruby shoulder and said young huntresses comforted her.

"Did they….both stay with me all night?"she asked herself as she couldn't help but feel responsible for waking them and everyone else it seems last night. She quickly changed into her outfit beofre the two woke up.

After about fifteen minutes she was finally changed she heard some stirring from the chair ruby was in, as she opened her silver eyes woken up from her sleep. While mercury slowly opened his eyes as he stretched his arms as a pop could be heard as he let out a satsified sigh as he got stood up. While ruby stood up from her chair rubbing her back.

"Ughhh my back"ruby groaned as her back still was uncomfortable

"You get used to it shorty"mercury replied as he looked immedaitly noticed rogue was up and changed.

"Well morning sunshine. Sleep alright?"merucyr asked

"Ummm I guess so"rogue answered which gave ruby and mercury a bright smile.

"Great. C'mon i'm sure everyone already having brekafast"ruby replied as her and mercury were heading out.

"Wait!"rogue called out making the two stop and looked back at her.

"Yeah?"ruby questioned looking at the blonde

"Something up?"mercury added

"Um…thank you last night…sorry"rouge replied as ruby simply smiled at this.

"Anytime. What are friends for now c'mon we don't want nora taking all the good stuff"ruby said as she walked out of the room.

"That we can agree on come on sunshine"mercury added motioning for rogue to come with.

At first rogue was hesitant to head downstairs because they might just integrate her about the nightmare she had. But she sighed as the two were waiting for her as she decided to just go with them. The blonde tinker followed mercury and ruby outside where everyone else was waiting for them.

"You three finally awake. You have to be hunger ren helping make breakfast."jaune said

"For the entire town. Are you sure thats a great idea?"rogue questioned.

"Yeah weren't you running low on supplies?"mercury added

Qing nodded"yes, but luckily we sent a much smaller group to grab the suppiles yesterday last night. Apparently they didn't get attack which is surprisng to say the least. Though the cooks are preparing breakfast with Li son. "Qing said

"Yeah along with that getting prepared for an attack if it does happen, the villagers will get to work on rebuilding the town"viri added

"Thats great though how was the pipe sealed?"ruby aksed looking at zuri and mercury.

"Don't know it looks like someone might have sealed the pipe tight. Not sure maybe a torch or a semblance maybe"merucry replied

"But how is that possible is their anything that can torch something shut while underwater"nora asked

"Oh oh my guess is a plasma torch"ruby declared which wasn't surprising to them.

"A plasma torch? What is that?"jaune asked

"Oh it like a super charged torch that can torch anything while its underwater. But their pretty rare to find and even rarer to find the correct to use. "Ruby answered

"Always a little weapon and tech nut aren't you"qroe complimented as ruby smiled a little.

"Okay so i'm guessing the one that did it was those cutlist"zuri said as they nodded in agreement.

"Lets talk about this later i'm starving"rogue said

"Agreed"nora added as she zipped toward a small building whil the other followed her. The villagers were gatheirng their but they noticed ren making breakfast. While the three kids him and the other saved early were surroudning him.

"Are a huntsman?"the red panda faunus asked

"Yeah is that why your all here?"the boy eagerly asked

"Sort of like a huntsman in training"ren simply replied

"Really because you and that guy with the big sword were really cool"the second boy said while jaune was walking over. He crossed his arms smiling a little.

"Uhh thanks"jaune thanked as the three kids turned to him. They waved to them before eventually their parents came and grabbed them.

"Aww you got a fan club"nora said as she was grabbing a big plate for breakfast.

"Yeah guess the knight and simply mcgee here have some adoring fans"rogue teased

"Come on quit messing with jaune. He already got the name vomit boy"ruby reminded as the group laughed a little at this while jaune hung his head. Soon enough they all headed toward breakfast though mercury and ruby looked at each other then at rogue with worrie.

Their breakfast consited of some eggs, toast, and buttered toast on the side with some milk, orange though they had little seating they made do with it as most of them sat around the place eating close by. Some choose to sit on the steps of the houses that were finished or on large wooden boxes that was neabry. Some of the tribe members had a small brekafast and quickly had their weapon at the ready for anything that might happen.

For rogue she decided to sit on one of the boxes that would at least loooked comfrotable for her as she at her food. As she ate her food for a bit she set it down as she messed around in her back pocket. Then she pulled something folded up frowning at it. The group picture they all took as she sighed heavily.

She just wished that the friends she lost were still here, she misses pyrrha especially everyday. The two were praticulaly like sister along with her own sister. At times she wished she didn't go into that city after train.

As she looked at the picture she looked up noticing ruby, jaune,zuri and mercury coming over, she set the picture down as she greeted them.

"Hey guys…something up?"She greeted they all looked to be done with their meals for the day. While she glanced seeing nora still eating her as koa looked at the orange hair girl with a decent sized plate of food.

"Just wanted to come sit with you"ruby simply replied

"Yeah is that a problem?"zuri asked

"No its fine…you can sit here"rogue replied as she finshed her breakfast and quickly grabbed the picture.

They all took some spots while mercury leaned close by against a box she sat on.

"So….uhh you doing alright since last night"zuri asked

Rogue sighed at those words looking away"i'm fine…you don't need to worrie about it just a bad dream"rogue answered

Ruby looked at her worried"rogue look were just worried about you we just want to make sure your okay"ruby said

"Yeah look I know them being gone is a very hard pill to swallow. But we've all lost someone"mercury calmly added

"You didn't lose several people you cared about on the same dam day at least. I lose my uncle first…then three close friends…quit trying to psycho analysis me"rogue replied

"Really because i've seen those eyes before and i've experience them"zuri said which caught the three of guard by what she was saying.

"What are you talking about?"jaune questioned

"Yeah her eyes are just normal old colored eyes"ruby said as she didn't wanna divulge the fact her eyes can erase grimm.

Zuri had a grave look on her face as she looked down at the ground. This kinda made them feel a little bad for her.

"About five years ago. When I was eleven someone broke into my home and killed my parents. After that they robbed the place and left me for dead"zuri replied as she continued.

"Then after a bit qing found me barely cligning to life, he saved me and nursed me back to health. After that I began to train under him for two years to track those bastards down. I spent an entire year searching for the ones who did it"zuri continued

"A year that kinda sad"ruby said

"Yeah it was. Though when I finally tracked them down I saw something that made me rethink it. I saw that the guy who killed my parents was praticuli homeless. He had three kids and a wife who was sick. Doing his best to get by…and I had my bow notched toward his head. "Zuri continued

"But i didn't do it because i'd be taking away three kids parents. They'd just come after me like I did for him"zuri finished

"So what the people i'm after are monsters who don't deserve to li–"Rogue begun before zuri stopped her.

"You think killing those people will bring them back. It won't, take it from someone who sought revenge and figured out that it'll never bring anything good. Think about what they would do if you passed"zuri said as she got up to leave walking away. The three stared at rogue who crossed her arms in anger as she got up to leave. But before she did jaune stopped her.

"Hey rogue"he called out as she turned around.

"Why don't we get some sparring in later alright"jaune offered as rogue thought for a moment before nodding. They all simply walked away from each other to do their work for the day. Though ruby and mercury seemed to worrie about rogue would do when she found team BRAS.

Meanwhile at the unseen eyes hideout flora was talking with turk and tyrian who seemed delighted for what they would be doing.

"So did our sabotage of their water supply to the town work?"flora questioned as turk kneeled.

"Yes ma'am but apprently they unsealed the pipe blocking all the water into the town. Though I and few of my fellow worpshippers noticed something"turk said catching their interest

"Hmm really what did you find it better be that silver eyed brat"tyrian asked as his tail whipped around.

"Yes we did but along with that several students it seems. They all seem to be huntsman and huntresses in training. Along with one of two branwhen tribe leaders here. Qrow"turk replied

"Hmm did any of those students have any notifying feature for them?"flora questioned as tyrian seemed intrigued right now.

"Two seem to be former inhabitats of the village, one is a boy with silver hair, another a boy with blonde hair carrying a sword, another a girl with a large axe"turk replied as tyrian seemed to go wide eyed but not from shcok but glee.

The scorpian faunus began to chuckle mnaically"that traditor mercury black is here along with that little girl who spouted about me killing someone"tyrian said

"A traditor you say then he should be eliminted"flora said

"Yes but how are your followers coming along with the welcome home present?"tyrian asked

"They both should be their soon here is our plan of attack"flora said gesutring toward a man on the general area. A red circle that was deep in the forest which was their current location and another cirlce was where kuroyuri was. But another close by of a mountain where the kncukleleeve lived.

"I've ordered my men to attack to attack them from the sides. But they might be expecting a attack from us. Even with those huntsman in training and the tribe leader their we may need more support"flora said as she looked at the staff in her hands.

She kneeled down to it as the staff slowly came to life as barbs wrapped around it moved around. Tyrian also kneeled to it as he smiled along with turk. Soon enough from the staff a voice spoke.

"Flora what do you request of me?"a sicking voice spoke which was salem.

"Mistresses your follower tyrian is here with us"flora replied to her.

The barbs moved toward tyrian a little" Tyrian I tasked you to hunt down that silvered eye girl not help flora and her followers. Are you disobeying me?"salem asked with anger slwoly rising in her tone.

Tyrian chuckled"no my queen I tracked them down to the village these two have been trying to take for you"he replied

The barbs halted in place as the seer staff was silent for a bit until a chuckle could be heard"excellent remeber you are to take her alive at all cost I want that girl to know what suffering is like. Just like that mother of her"salem replied

Tyrian bowed his head"yes my queen it shall be done but i'll make sure her companions will die in agony while she watched"he replied as salem seemed to agree with that. Soon enough the glass ball stopped as the barbs around it wrapped around it. They all stood up glancign at each other.

"We understand our mistresses goals we will make sure to not kill the one with silver eyes"turk said

"Good for now we must head to the vilalge to attack"flora said as the three agrred as they started to gather their troops. They all started to slwoly converge on the village while in the distance was the two cultist leading the knuckleeve to the village to destory it once again.

A few hours later rogue was waiting for jaune for their sparring session. She managed to make a few rock walls around certain entrances to the town just incase. Along with that several branwhen tribe warriors were at the ready. They moved some of the injured villagers to a small safehouse they had that is underground just incase.

But for some reason zuri words kinda kept pulling at her because would her friends want this. Shes doing this for them because their gone because of those four. She sighed as she soon was joined by jaune and surprised to see ruby and mercury here.

"I thought it was just going to be us?"rogue questioned

"Oh they just wanted to watch for a bit"jaune answered simply

Rouge looked at the two sighing nodding as her and jaune decided to get some pratice in. jaune and her decided to pratice their sword man ship or axeman ship in her case. They did that for maybe a good twnety minutes before stopping. Then he decided to show her some boxing moves that zane tuaght jaune a little.

Jaune wasn't the best at it though the two seemed to enjoy spending time and reminascing about the good times. They spent maybe ten minutes on that as rogue accidently uppercutted jaune a little too hard. This sent him on his back as they decided to take a small break.

"Heh sorry about that jaune"rogue apolgized while jaune rubbed his jaw making sure it wasn't dislcoated.

"Your okay though kinda funny how a knight is learnign boxing"jaune joked

"Please don't start making jokes now that's yang and zane job"ruby said

But in the distance where yang was as she drove through the dirt road in the anima. She had an itching sucsipion someone was talking about her. She sneezed a little as she rubbed her nose.

"Allergies?"emerald questioned as she held onto yang back.

"No i feel like…someone talking about me"yang replied narrowing her gaze. Bashira shrugged her shoulders at this as the three continued their way toward the branwhen tribes main camp.

"Yeah though its nice to pratice now and then"rogue replied as she looked at the shield in hand at the intial with a somber look.

Mercury looked at this sighing to himself not wanting to do this but he has too.

"Rogue…maybe what zuri said is true"mercury said neerovusly.

Rogue immediatly shot up glaring at him as she tighten her grip on the shield with anger slowly rising.

"Its none of your business what I do"rogue replied looking down at her shield.

"Rogue you need to understand that mindset of yours could get you killed"mercury warned

"He's right we don't want you to throw your lfie away for our friends that we–"ruby begun before rogue stopped her.

"Oh really you said you were scared of him at the bathhouse or am I wrong"rogue countered as ruby visable backed up looking down at the ground. Jaune sighed crossing his arms looking to the side.

"Look it understandable some of us would be scared because of that rogue…i was at first but I relized he didn't have control"jaune added to her surprise because he was praticually her partner first friend.

"Really seriously he couldn't control himself and he kills himself. Then I lose my best friend who i've known for years now who helped me when my uncle died. Their also someone i consider like a second sister to me who died. "Rogue started as she took a breath trying to fight the tears.

"Then their was my uncle who died protecting me and promised to come back"rogue said

"Look rouge i understand that you lost–"ruby begun but rogue stopped her .

"Really at least you still have your uncle and your sister didn't lose her dam leg!"rogue shouted in rage with tears escaping her eyes.

"Sunshine relax we all lost something that day but you need to push that type of mentality back"mercury said with worry.

"Really do you know what happened on that day when the Fall happened. That was the day I lost my uncle who I cared about. Then I lose three people on the same extact day every time during that year. Every single dam time I lose people I care about. And i know who did it and i'm going to get payback for them"rogue replied

"That isn't the answer for everything killing someone isn't right. I know what they did was terrible but you need to–"ruby tried to finished but rogue just turned away from her.

"Look rogue I miss pyrrha everyday to I would want nothing more that to avenge her death. But we need to stop team BRAS from preventing more bloodshed."jaune said but rogue scoffed at him.

Though ruby was slowly getting a little mad how her friend was pushing her away. She just wants to help her from making a terrible mistake. How she said she doesn't know lost, she lost her own mother when she was little. Barely getting to know her and she wished she was still around. But just wanted to support her through her grief right now.

Hearing how she'll kill someone to get payback for their firends it wasn't right. Without a second thoguht ruby walked over turning rouge around. Then she slapped the girl on the side of the cheek. This was a surprise to the three since ruby usally was the calm one of the group.

Rubbing the spot where ruby slapped her rogue looked at her.

"What the hell was–"rouge begun to asked but ruby stopped her.

"For not listening and pushing us away!"ruby shouted as she continued.

"I know you lost alot of people who were close to you on that day. We all lose someone at some point and we all grieve in different way"ruby calmly began

"Ren lost both his parents here and his home. But right now its getting rebuilt and he does harbor hatred toward a grimm. But Nora worries about him about making that mistake i'm sure and wants to stop him from killing himself"ruby continued as she looked at mercury.

"Mercury lost both his parents, his dad protected him with his life till the very end. After that he met with cinder, emerald and amber. Amber and cinder are gone as well i'm sure he's upset about it as well."ruby said

"You aint wrong about that"mercury agreed

Ruby looked toward jaune with a somber look"jaune also lost the same two people you cared about as well. Him and pyrrha loved each other I know for certain, hes hurt right now as well. Right now i'm sure he's still hurt about her and zanes death still"ruby continued

Jaune crossed his arms looking down because she was right that he missed the two deeply.

Ruby then placed her hand on her chest grabbing some of her clothes"I lost my mom a long time ago. At times I still miss her everyday wishing that she was still here today. My uncle and aunt think she's alive, she could be. "Ruby took a breath and a moment to gather herself before she continued.

"But do you really think killing someone will make them happy? I know tanner was like a best friend to you along with perun. Their also pyrrha who you known for so long that you two might be like sisters. I understand zane was your partner and leader, he didn't have control of his actions. You seemed to be in a great relationship with your uncle just like me and uncle qrow"ruby continued taking another breath.

"It hurts when someone dies and the pain can never go away but we don't let that stop us from living. What are you going to do? Are you going to kill someone thinking it'll bring them back or are you going to take the higher path and not end up like them"ruby continued

They stood in silence for a bit until ruby took a quivered breath as she clutched the rose emblem on her outfit.

"They wouldn't want you to become a murderer….please…please don't ruin your life"ruby begged a little.

Rogue just looked away from the three unsure on how she was going to answer but she was right. What she was going was selfish, they wouldn't her to become a murder. She missed them deeply she wonders how they would see her now. They'd probably push her away for declaring something like this. Though she just misses them and wishes they were still here.

She looked back up at ruby with tears escaping her eyes with an answer"your…right we've all lost someone in our lives. But…I just miss them so much I just wish they were still here. But they wouldn't like what i'm doing"rogue replied

Then ruby slowly walked over hugging rouge who returned it as they sat their for a bit before releasing from each other.

"Thats good too hear."ruby said as she quickly bowed several times.

"Also i'm sorry for slapping you across the face"ruby apolgize to rogue.

"Don't be. Payback for socking yang across the jaw back in beacon. I needed someone to knock some sense into "rouge replied

"No problem. Also lets go check with uncle and the others on what were doing when an attack happens actually."ruby replied as her and the others followed wondering what they were doing.

After they all arrived at the house qrow was their along with viri, koe and qing. Ren and nora were their as well along with zuri. They all where their trying to come up with a plan.

"So we know they might be attacking today, but we also need to be prepared for that grimm that could come"koe said as ren scoffed at that. Nora placed a hand on his shoulder which seemed to calm him down.

"Yeah from my expertise as a huntsman that thing is a rare find. Sort of like a horse and humanoid figure if I recall along with that dam things fast along with it being able to stretch its limbs. So watch out for those arms and its scream which can stun you"qrow said wisely.

"Yes, I have too we did research on the beast and It may be far more intellgient than any normal grimm"qing said to their surprise.

"How would you know that?"jaune questioned

"Wait remember in ports class how he talked about some grimm gaining intellgience if they've lived around a long time"ruby reminded

"Hey yeah. So we got a smart grimm actually that just great"rogue added

"Hmm yeah though when me, koa and a few other investigated its home when it left"zuri said as she walked over to a small closet. Then she opened it reaching inside pulling something out.

A green bow that seemed to have a brown and gold paint to it that resembles a fleur de lis. But it looked very worn from years of ageing it seems. Ren went wide eyed at this as he took a deep breath composing himself.

Nora noticed this hugging his arm to try and help him calm down. Though jaune noticed this and guessed who this might be.

"That's your dad bow i'm guessing"jaune asked looking at ren but qing answered

Qing nodded"yes it is his. I remember giving him this as a gift many years ago. For completing his training with me….it's troubling seeing that thing keep it as a simple trophy"qing said which caught their attention.

"Trophy what are you talking about?"mercury asked

The group all looked at each other as screaming could be herd. They all guessed what was happening as all of them grabbed their weapons rushing outside to deal with the attack.

It seems Rogue quest for blood was settled for now but who know when she'll have it again. But the village seems under attack as an old evil will return to the village that destoryed it long ago. Thanks for reading!
