Chapter12
Endgame Taris
Terri woke as the landspeeder came to a stop to the checkpoint to Davik's estate. A Guard stepped from the sentry box and approached the vehicle, keeping clear from the line of fire from the box. The guard stepped closer and tapped the window with his rifle barrel. Canderous lowered the tinted window and the guard flashed a light over the occupants of the landspeeder
"Identify yourselves."
"Get that light out of my face. Do you think this is military checkpoint, and drop that kriffing shield." Canderous barked, shielding his eyes
The guard lowered the light, but made no other movement
"Calo Nord's orders, all identities to are to be checked and vehicle's searched before entry to the estate." The guard replied, defensively.
"Since when is the walking mushroom head of security?" Canderous snarled
"He is not. You are the head of security." The guard replied, unhappily.
"Did I give the order to have the vehicle searched or identities checked?" Canderous continued
"No. you did not." The guard swallowed, thickly
"Then why am I still talking to you and why is that shield still up. Nayc gal an buy'ce" Canderous growled, irritated.
The girl next to Canderous snorted. The guard rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Canderous; you know we don't speak Mando."
"That is my problem; how?"
The guard swallowed.
"Look; Canderous, no need to ride my ass. You know how it goes, you get an order you follow it. Now can I have names to announce to the house or are you rescinding that directive as well?"
Canderous jerked his thumb at the girl
"Melissa aliit Carpenter. Terri Cazor, Carth Onassi. Do you want the designation of the droid as well "
" No. Go ahead and I will announce you to the house."
"We will have a discussion later," Canderous warned
The guard stepped back and waved to the sentry box. The shield to the entrance dropped and Canderous slowly accelerated towards the estate. The guard entered the post. His friends handed him a steaming mug of caf
"What crawled up the Mando's ass." One asked.
"He was pissed of about Nord, nothing new." The guard shrugged, taking a sip
"How long do you think before those two go for each other." The third asked, lighting a nicotine stick.
" Hopefully soon. This job is becoming more of a hassle than it is worth."
"Any bets on the outcome? Tough old school Mando against the current best bounty hunter."
The path up to the estate was lit by discrete lights set at ground level. The dark shapes of real hedgerows denying them a view of the estate. They pulled up to a garage. Canderous input a command on the speeders console and a door lifted. Lights snapped on from within revealing a large room containing several landspeeders and swoop bikes. Tool benches lined the walls and several droids scuttled about the vehicle Canderous moved to a spot marked by a flashing light. Sliding into the bay, he cut the power to the repulsors and the landspeeder settled to the ground. Switching of the engine, he cracked his door open and stepped out of the craft. He walked a few steps to the rear and opened the trunk of the landspeeder. Leaning in he retrieved his favourite weapon from among a small arsenal in the trunk. Rapidly he checked the rotary blaster before holding it in the crook of his arm
"Time is wasting, Let's go"
Canderous led the way from the garage, through a set of doors to the side of the garage. The occupants of the security booth not looking up from their monitors, as they passed. Canderous scowled at their lack of attention to their jobs. They exited into the foyer of the estate. Droids were polishing the floors to a high shine. The only sound was that of the machines and a soft tinkle of water, Several old fashioned marble statues lined the walls to the staircase, modern holographic paintings interspaced between creating a balance between old and new. The white painted room was lit by soft light fixtures, hidden in the ceiling. A medium sized duracrete water feature stood before the stairs, small spotlights within highlighted the main feature of a small naked human boy with wings holding a vase refilling the feature. Their footsteps echoed as the walked to the staircase to the far side of the foyer, T3M4 warbling slightly as they moved, its dome spinning as it scanned around it
"Ah, Canderous. I see you have returned early and with guests." A voice rang out
An elderly well dressed man paused dramatically on top of the staircase before he languidly walked down the staircase towards them, a fake expression of surprise on his face. Calo Nord was following a few steps behind Kang, despite Kang being several steps lower there was no difference in their heights.
"Kang, mushroom." Canderous greeted; briskly.
Nord's hands twitched towards his blasters. Davik shook his head at Nord, the man placed his hands behind his back. Davik clapped his hands
"Gentlemen, please let us not be rude. We have guests, two of them ladies." He stated, genially
Davik stopped a few steps from them.
"Canderous, might I have their names? I am familiar with your actions so there is no need to enumerate them."
"Terri Cazor, Carth Onassi. Melissa aliit Carpenter." Canderous, pointed in turn
Nord looked at the girl, before snorting dismissively. Melissa stared into the reflective glasses. He fidgeted after a moment, looking away.
"That one does not look like a Mando nor does the surname sound Mando either."
"Kaysh mirsh solus." Melissa replied
"Gar serim." Canderous answered with a smirk.
Canderous turned to Nord with a contemptuous look.
"What you know of Mandalorians can be written on a very small flimsy. If I wanted your opinion, I would have asked for it. Our matters are not for aruetti, short stuff"
Hate flashed between the two men and the atmosphere became filled with killing intent
"Carefull, Calo, you might be the favourite Kath hound now, but you are not pack leader yet." Canderous stated menacingly
Davik cleared his throat, drawing the attention back onto himself. He plastered his genial smile back onto his face. A tick of his eyelid betraying his agitation and anger. He continued in false joviality.
"A pleasure to meet you all. However I have to ask why you though it a good idea to enter the house of the man whose family you killed."
Terri gave him an unimpressed look.
"Terribly grief stricken; I see. Look, a contract is a contract and it paid well. Taking out a piece of shit was a bonus."
Davik lifted an eyebrow in surprise. Terri continued blithely
"I am not going to mince words. We are hired guns, but there are lines we don't cross. Fact of the matter he crossed a line and pissed of someone willing to do something about it. If you want to blame somebody, blame the one paying to have the trigger pulled."
Terri gave a small shrug
"As to why we are here, you are currently the highest payer on this planet. Might as well see if a job is available while we are on this rock"
"If not we go back to the city and wait for the mess to settle in the lower city and pick up contracts again. There should be quite a few once the gangs stop squabbling and wanting of the books payback. If you wanted us dead, Canderous would not have walked us in here, we'd be in bags or trussed up like livestock heading for the slaughter house." Carth added
Davik let loose a gale of laughter, pretending to wipe away tears of mirth
"Blunt, greedy and pragmatic." Davik smiled genially; " I can work with that. Come let us get you settled and we can continue this at a more reasonable time."
He turned around and motioned up the stairs. Melissa took one last look at the water feature and Davik noted her interest.
"I see that my decoration interest you."
"It is quite calming, but what is that being? The closest I can think off is Toydarian; but that is not even close." Melissa replied, curiously.
Davik gave a delighted laugh.
"A curious mind is an asset to cultivate, but to be tempered with caution. That; my dear; is a mythical being called a cherub. It is said that they are the protectors of the virtuous and pure."
"Not many of those around here." Melissa replied wryly
"Yes, I find the irony of it delicious too."
"May I take a holopic of it? I may want to have something similar commissioned when I have a big enough place of my own."
Davik waved a hand magnanimously
"Of course, feel free to record any art that passes your fancy. Ah, how I miss the burning ambition of youth and the urge to surround yourself with the best and unique. You will go far, dear, with the right mentorship of course."
"I cannot wait." Melissa replied, blandly
Davik turned fully around and started up the stairs. Nord waited till he passed before turning and following in his wake. There was a flash and click of a datapad camera, before the quartet followed up them up the staircase.
T3 was about to start elevating itself up the stairs to follow the group of humans; when one of the cleaning droids warbled and whistled at it in alarm. Several clicks, bleepsand whistles between the two droids later, it rerouted to a corner next to the staircase and a panel slid back revealing a droid lift. A repulsor push lifted it to the next floor.
Davik led them to the left of the staircase along a wide passage. Pointing to art pieces every few steps. An Aqualish and a Duros stood in front of a door leading to a side passage. Several sentry droids were patrolling the corridors, weapons briefly flickering in their direction before moving on. The Duros opened the door and Davik led the way along a door lined passage, the furnishing much less elaborate, he came to a stop at a door and turned to them.
"Welcome to the guest quarters. I will have to ask you to remain here till our discussion later. I believe that I will not need to tell you not to leave the wing or inconvenience my other guests. Feel free to engage in the services offered by the staff of the relaxation room at the end of the passage. Canderous will stay with you to ensure that you have a pleasant stay, of course."
Davik opened the door and waved them in, before he turned and walked past them. Nord; falling in step behind him. Terri led the way into the room. The door hissed closed behind them as after all of them had entered
Four beds, covered in sheets and a single blanket, stood in it with four open footlockers, a small desk and terminal stood in a corner. There was no window to the outside in the room. Terri pointed to the terminal
"T3 plug in and recharge."
The droid warbled a response.
"Yes I know it takes forever. Do you see a recharging dock? No. Then plug in charge you oversized toaster."
The security office was a flurry of activity. The supervisor stepped between terminal and looked over the shoulders of the technicians.
"Audio and visual up and running, Reception good and clear." The first one reported
"Power drain from the terminal, no data activity. Droid activity, none. It is recharging." The second continued.
"Recheck frequently, start behavioural and movement observation files, Davik will want to have a look later. Do not bother with Ordo, we already have his profile."
The man's voice came over the speakers. His image appeared to be looking around the room in disinterest before dropping a small pack on a bed.
"I don't know about you; but I am going to get a snack and get an itch scratched before I rack out."
"Is that all you can think about. You banged that twi'lek trash before we got here." The older woman replied.
"She talked a good game, but did not deliver results, using my hand would have been more satisfying. Anyway if you got some, you would probably be less of a bitch." He retorted
The younger girl walked to the door. She palmed the controls and the door opened
"Screw it, I am in. Anything is better than listening to you two yapping at each other. Either kriff or shoot each other, get it over and done with."
She strode from the room, the others following. The light blinked out, leaving the droid in darkness, a single receptor on it flashing. Night vision showed no movement from the droid
The supervisor rubbed his chin.
"Interesting not as united as reports would have us believe. Let us see what other weaknesses they reveal." He mused" Switch to relaxation room."
The second technician looked at his terminal.
"No data activity from the droid"
They followed the fours movement along the passage, there was a slight jump in the view when they entered the relaxation room.
There were fourteen females of different races in the room ranging in ages from twelve to twenty, shock collars in place on all of their necks.
"What a wonderful selection our host has given us." Terri remarked neutrally, anger evident in her eyes.
"A kind thing to say, mistress. How may we service your desires? We are at your total command." The oldest stated bowing.
The room had multiple beds screened of by dividers. A sunken bath visible in one corner. Several massage tables filled the far wall. A group of chairs faced a small stage. A kitchen unit was hidden behind a fake trellis.
Terri sat down in an arm chair and pointed to the small stage set against the wall.
"A drink and a dance will do for a start."
" It will be our pleasure, mistress."
A slight fluctuation began to occur in the data stream on the second monitor. The technician did not notice the slowly climbing graph as he was absorbed in the images of the relaxation room as the dancers writhed on stage in ever increasing erotic moves, a heavy suggestive music playing. His colleague equally entranced. The supervisor fixated on the four, now having a slave on their laps each, rapidly entering notes to the files he created.
The graph reached red and an alarm started. The technician looked at it in shock. The door lock slammed and a hissing sound came as xenon gas was being pumped into the room. The occupants was hacking and coughing in moments, clenching at their throats before dropping one by one.
Davik jumped up from behind his desk and approached the door to his study as the door locked. Furiously he tapped the access code to the room on his keypad. It beeped and flashed the message
"Access Denied."
He turned to Nord.
"Get us out of here."
Nord pulled his blaster and fired repeatedly at the wall next to the door. He opened his coat revealing three grenade filled belts and pulled one of his trademark concussion grenades and wedged it into the wall. The explosion ripped through a small section of wall. Calo fired again to create another blast hole.
"This going to take some time." He said over his shoulder.
Davik walked to his desk. From the bottom drawer he pulled out a combat suit and a holstered blaster. He winced at the tightness of the suit as he pulled it on.
"Just get it done, we have some clever kriffers to kill."
The Leviathan
Karath turned as Malak strode into the bridge
"Last ship is in position, we are commencing orbital bombardment."
"Good, leave nothing standing."
Karath turned to the weapons officer, who got to attention. Karath nodded at him. The officer spun around and faced the waiting operatives.
"All batteries, open fire. Sustained fire."
There was a slight shudder on the deck as the guns opened fire. Fire lanced towards the planet surface. A veritable curtain foloowed as the other ships unleashed the batteries
Jero Hermone was having another fight with his father in law on the bridge of the stubborn bastards fishing trawler. The stubborn old man wanted to turn back to port again, complaining of the cost of the fuel and that they could not fish as the holds were packed with supplies and the families of his crew
Jero was about so start swearing at the old buzzard when said buzzard stopped talking looking at the distant shoreline, face paling. Red rain was falling from the skies, no not rain, laser fire. The sounds of impact came to them from miles of shore
Jero turned to the helmsman.
"Hard to starboard, engines full ahead"
The helmsman looked aghast out the window
"Force help us all"
"The force can not help us. We are on our own" Jero replied
The deck tilted and the engines moaned in protest as the ship ran for the hopefull safety of the open seas.
Randor looked up in the sky as the first impacts were echoing in the air. He stepped back into the relative safety of the reinforced sewer system. The warning of possible Sith reprisal delivered by two doctors and their staff as they had been collecting the pods dropped earlier in the morning. The last of the remaining dwellers and refugees from the gang fights above, scurrying past him. The heavy door slid shut. He gave a thought of thanks to the girl who had sent both the supplies and the warning.
"Thanks, Kiddo, take care out there."
The ground shuddered and he stumbled for a moment. Looking up at the ceiling, he hoped that they were deep enough to be safe.
Terri looked at her pad as it beeped a message. She pushed the slave running her hands suggestively across her shoulder from her lap and stood up and pulling her blaster
"T3 is active, the system is ours, Davik is locked down." She said
"Good, I was getting bored." Canderous, grunted arming his rotary rifle
His slave girl standing up from having fallen, when he pushed her. Terri turned to the assorted slaves.
"T3, unlock the collars."
There was a cacophony of beeps and flashes of green lights as the collars deactivated. The girls cautiously touching their necks but making no move to remove the collars.
"If you want to get out of here, follow us." Terri offered
"Davik will capture us and kill us all. It is not worth the risk of helping you or fleeing" The oldest replied
"It is your choice. Stay or go. Just remember you may never get another chance"
The building shook and they fell over from the impact, Cries of shock coming from the girls. They huddled into a group holding on to one another.
"Turbolaser strike." Canderous said, getting up on one knee
" Either the Sith know where we are or they are carpet bombing the surface, either way we need to move now." Carth said, getting to his feet
The slaves girls needed no further motivation to leave. T3 came barrelling into the room and spun in a circle, warbling excitedly.
"Yes, we know the building is under attack." Melissa snapped
"T3. Calm down follow with the girls in two minutes as we leave." Terri ordered.
They stepped into the passage as the doors to the other rooms opened. Several were wearing insignia of either the Vulkars or the Beks, Recognition was immediate and blasters started criss crossing up and down the passage. The door at end opened and two sentry droids were gliding in, the two guards short on their tails.
"Time to leave this place." Terri said, firing into the mass of bolts
The four rushed through the building in a two man leap frog formation. Leaving a trail of dead gansters and destroyed droids in their wake
"Droids front." Melissa called
"Jurkadir." Canderous responded
The fire from his rotary blaster shredded the sentry droid, he swung the still firing gun at the second droid as it dropped when a shot damaged its repulsor coils. It shattered from the continous fire.
"Reloading." Canderous snapped out
"Covering." Melissa confirmed his status
"Advancing." Carth stated
Terri and Carth leapfrogged them. They took position next to a doorway Terri forced access to the biometric scanner and door controls
"Canderous what is in here?"
"Spice lab."
Terri opened the door, partially
"Thermal out." Carth called, chucking the grenade through the gap
She closed the door, multiple screams from within were ended by a series of explosions. A fire alarm started wailing.
They swept the passage to the hangar. A group of mercenaries had set up a barricade and fired on them. Canderous took a step back as a bolt grazed his arm. They pulled back around a corner, a flurry of bolts following them. The building shook again as another near miss struck ground, dust from the buildings permacrete starting to drift in the air. A grating sound came as a crack started running along a wall, plaster falling to reveal the support beams and the grey permacrete
Melissa pulled a small med kit from her utility vest and sprayed the wound with kolto before applying a trauma pad. Canderous gave a small grimace.
"We don't have time for this." He grunted
He got to his feet. Pressing a button on his armours bracer, he activated an energy shield, He stepped out into the passage, firing.
"Pirunir sur'haaise." He called out.
Melissa rolled out onto her stomach and fired rapidly, blaster extended in both hands as Canderous walked into the firestorm of panicked shooting. A mercenary thrown backwards from the barricade as her bolts impacted her. A few hits causing flashes on the shield as Canderous walked forward, scything the blaster to left and right.
"Frag Out." Terri called, stepping out
She threw the grenade underhanded behind the barricade. The crump of the grenade followed by bodies being tossed around in the confined space They swept forward, ears ringing slightly from the grenades blast. Canderous pausing for a moment to fire into a twitching body. They stepped into an office overlooking the hanger. The cargo ship standing ready to go, the boarding ramp down.
"T3,move up" Terri called into her comlink
The droid moved up rapidly, the gaggle of slave girls in close pursuit. They huddled down against the hanger door wall.T3 rolled into office, bleeping was busy slicing into the terminal when Carth noticed movement on the opposite side of the hanger.
"Oh no, you don't." Carth growled
Davik and a group of mercenaries were rushing towards the ship.
" Hurry up." Carth snapped at the droid
"We have to cut them off." Terri stated.
Canderous aimed at the window and opened fire. Plasteel and laser bolts rained down onto the group below. Everyone staggered as a turbolaser eventually slammed into the building
"Damn the Sith. They will bring the building down around us."Davik called out.
Nord stood up, drawing his blasters and fired at the standing Canderous. Melissa pushed Canderous to the side and fired. Nords bolts passed where Canderous's head had been moments before. Nord dropped a blaster with a curse as Melissa's bolt slammed into his shoulder.
Another blast slammed home and a gantry dropped from above. Davik screamed before it pancaked him and two mercenaries. Nord was nowhere in sight as the rubble settled on the group of mercenaries.
The door to the hanger lifted open as T3 detached itself from the terminal. A shaft of light burst into the hanger as the outer door lifted. A rain of turbolaser bolts were slamming down onto the ground. They ran straight to the freighter and to the boarding ramp.
Carth pointed to a terminal and a hose and valve attached to the ship
" Fuel line , we need to unhook."
"T3 on me." Melissa called.
She rushed over and started closing the manual valve while T3 was shutting the pump down from the terminal There was a hiss as the valve detached before she could fully close it and Melissa got drenched with fuel.
She staggered away and started tearing her clothes off; the pungent fluid irritating her skin already. T3 wheeled closer and started spraying her down with suppressant foam. Terri rushed to a manual fire hose attached to the support beam next to the terminal and opened the valve. She hosed Melissa down.
"Turn around constantly and scrub yourself" she called," T3; go help Carth."
Carth had rushed aboard ahead, the girls following closely behind.
"Stay here. Find a place to sit and strap in" He called behind him.
Finding the cockpit he dropped into the pilot seat and began the start up sequence. He flicked the buttons to detach the fuel line and the power cables. The engines whined to life and the warm up sequence started.
Impatiently he watched the progress bar, tapping the control panel
"Come on. Come on. Come on." He muttered anxiously
Terri finally closed the valve to the water stream and rushed forward, ripping of her vest and jacket. She wrapped the jacket around the now shivering girl, who was leaning down to grab her gear.
"Get on, forget all this."
She led the way to the boarding ramp at a run, pulling Melissa along. Melissa wincing as she stepped onto rubble and little of plasteel. Canderous was standing on top of the ramp, his eyes locked on the door to the warehouse. Terri stopped next to him
"Is it worth your life?" She asked
Canderous looked away, and slammed the control panel. The ramp lifting with a whine.
Carth engaged the repulsor coils and the ship rocked slightly. The sound of the landing struts retracting followed shortly. He slowly engaged the sublight thrusters and the ship edged towards the door of the hanger, wincing a small explosion rocked the ship.
There was movement from the rubble pile and Calo Nord pushed himself out. He blanched as he saw that the thrusters were pointed towards him. The fumes from the fuel spill ignited and a fireball blew him back to the far wall. He hit the wall at high speed and felt the crack of bones as he landed. The backwash from the thrusters flushed over him, he felt his skin warming up.
T3 entered the cockpit and rolled up to the data port.
" Lock onto Missions comlink and give me the heading." Carth called
He toggled the internal coms.
"Get to the guns we may have to fight our way out."
Melissa came past and dropped the ladder down to the nose gun. Carth shook his head. Why was she dressed in only a jacket? And why is she leaving bloody footprints? He could have sworn she had been in a combat suit and boots before. He turned his head and closed his eyes before she could turn and climb down to the guns.
"Go quickly." He called
" Thanks Carth."
He heard the clatter of hands and feet on the ladder
"I am in." She called up from the gun well
"Teenagers." He muttered, opening the throttle
Mission was having a near full blown panic attack as the lasers slammed down on the building of Taris. The kids were screaming in panic and fear, holding on to one another or the closest adult She started to hyperventilate. A whine of engines and a blast of air distracted her. A freighter was lowering its boarding ramp in front of her. The mandalorian mercenary standing at the controls of the ramp.
Zaalbar roared and grabbed three of the kids and charged up the ramp dropping them inside before rushing back for the rest. Bastilla was moving up the ramp holding onto two backpacks and a third on her back. Jack was calling on her to move from the bottom of the ramp. The two droids following his girlfriends up as they staggered on carrying their gear.
Zaalbar was in her face next and she felt him pulling her up in the air and onto the ship. She bumped her head on the sill to the ramp. She felt detached from reality and blackness was closing in.
"Everyone strap in or hold on" Carth's voice came
Mission went limp in Zaalbar's hold as he frantically was looking for a seat to starp her into
Carth swore and twisted the controls as a piece of rubble fell towards them. The nose guns chattered as Melissa fired, blowing the rubble apart. The engine screamed as they were pushing towards the stratosphere. Carth grimaced as he barely missed a turbolaser. The shields dropping from proximity to the blast. T3 screeched a warning
"Do something usefull, instead of bitching" Carth called back.
Bastilla pulled herself into the co pilot seat and buckled in.
" Do you know how to fly?" Carth asked
" No." She responded
" Do not touch anything then."
"LEFT NOW." Bastilla screamed
Carth pulled hard to port and went into a spin. A turbolaser flashed through where they had been moments before, the shields taking another hit. There was a slight glow of friction visible on the hull now as they entered the stratosphere.
"Feel free to share if you feel anything else." He remarked
They burst through in the vacuum of space and a new threat pounced on them. Two squads of fighters were streaming towards them
"Incoming Fighters." He called out
The advice was unneeded as the nose and top guns opened up, the dorsal cannon a moment later. He started to spin and weave as to frustrate aim of the fighters
"Set gravity to half." He instructed T3
The droid beeped back at him
"I don't care what standard regulations say, dial it to half I need to feel the ship."
The feeling was immediate and he could feel every small shock and bump and the thump of the cannons. Vaguely he heard the sound of retching from next to him as Bastilla felt the effect of the increased g forces of the manoeuvres
"You throw up on my consoles and I will make you eat it." He warned, spinning to starboard
T3 screamed as it detached from the console. The droid beeping imprecations as it reattached to the port
"Maglock yourself. Was that not in your standard regulations."
A long loud and irritating screech followed
"Whatever, Tin Can. Prep the hyperdrive and inset coordinates, anywhere will do."
Flashes came and a corona followed as a fighter was blown up in close proximity. Another sqaudron was pulling closer
The hyperdrive whined and the ship jumped forward in the comforting blue haze of hyperspace.
Malak was breathing heavily as the ship jumped. Karath was standing behind him. Multiple flashes flowering as Sith squadrons hunted down ships fleeing the atmosphere. The red rain of turbolasers continuing unabated
"You had best hope the Jedi was not on that ship, Admiral. I am growing weary of your failures."
Karath looked impassively at Malak.
"Sir, we have identified the ship." A voice called from the intelligence pit.
Karath strode over and looked down at the officer, he could feel the presence of Malak following him.
"Report."
"Light freighter registered to one Davik Kang, Called the Ebon Hawk. Kang is listed as a person of interest by multiple law enforcement agencies. Registered address on the outskirts of Taris."
Karath was about to ask the operative as to why any of the information was relevant as Taris was now a wasteland when Malak broke his silence.
"Admiral, have a squad dispatched to search for any survivors at that location. Retrieve any electronic data on that ship's movements and post a bounty for information on it."
Carth let go of the controls with a sigh. His hands were shaking and he felt exhausted.
"Return gravity to normal." He breathed deeply.
He heard Bastilla unbuckle herself from the co pilot seat as she swivelled the chair to face rear, leaning forward. This was followed by the sound of copious vomiting. T3 screeched in alarmed disgust. Carth looked at the droid
"It is your job to clean that up."
A voice drifted up from the gun well of the nose guns
"Can someone please throw me some clothes?"
The sounds of hysterically screaming children and vomiting people and the howling of one very disgruntled Wookie came from the rear. He reached for the controls again. He was busy flying, someone else could deal with the mess back there.
