Kushina survived the Nine-Tails attack and now been a mother to her only beloved son, loving him, nurturing him, training him, doing her best to be a mother. Now an unexpected turn of event happen that they end up in another world were Naruto is chosen as the new Shield Hero, she will do everything in her power to protect her son from those who wish to harm him. 10. Chapter 10

AN: Man, it's over halfway in May, time sure run fast that I didn't notice it. Sorry that it took this long but I like to tell you all that I'm working on Chapter 10, and I like to ask you some questions.

Chapter 10: The Parent-Royal Conference

In the throne room the three heroes await their just rewards, though only Naruto and the rest of his team aren't present; Kushina and Tsunade are in his place to seemingly take the money, they didn't know that there's another reason why they're there. Motoyasu looks okay but have bandages covering up his injuries; he is still recovering from the horrific beat down inflicted by the Senju. Soon Aultcray addresses them with pride. "As promise, all of you will now be rewarded for your victory over the Waves and other heroic endeavours," A servant with a bag fat with silver approaches the Spear Hero. "For your part as well as completing my request, Sir Motoyasu will receive four thousand silvers."

Before Motoyasu can get it the bag is yoink out from the servant's hands, Tsunade let out a sweet satisfied smile. "Thank you very much,"

"Hey, what are you-" Motoyasu stops as he stares into Tsunade's face, she have a smile but her eyes say otherwise.

"What, you forgot what you said last night? You said that you'll give Naruto your reward if he wins, which is why he agreed to duel you in the first place."

"But that brat didn't even win!" Malty tries to argue, using technicality which isn't helping since her chosen champion still lose the duel.

Tsunade retorts. "If you didn't interfere then Naruto will not have to switch out with me, but if you insist then this silver will go to me."

"The-That Shadow is wrong, no one else saw it happened! Ask, Papa, ask everyone here, you'll see!"

"That's because your "papa" ordered them to be silent about it during the duel, but that won't even matter the referee saw you cheating for his advantage and acted accordingly."

"Now hold on a minute-" Motoyasu starts to protest but she is quick to interrupt him.

"Are you going back on you own words," Tsunade gives him a glare that sends shivers down his spine. "Well since you look well enough then you have to duel me for this."

The bloody beat down he received and suffered last night is still fresh on everyone's mind the whole ordeal leaves a lasting effect in the Spear Hero a deep mental scar, resulting in Motoyasu developing a fear of this woman. Not wanting to start a conflict nor even an argument with her he immediately concedes. "I- uh – y-you're right, I did agree to that."

Aultcray would've reprimand this woman but unfortunately for him he don't have any authority over her, even if he decides to ignore his wife's decree none of the knights present would dare fight her, they don't want to engage in combat with the woman who dominated the Spear Hero in a duel with just her bare hands and feet.

"Papa, can you order her to return the money. That money rightfully belongs to Sir Motoyasu!"

The king sighs and shakes his head. "I'm sorry, Malty, but there's nothing I can do, she is ensuring that Sir Motoyasu is honouring the agreement, and even if I try to threaten her with arrest none of the knights dare to even approach her."

Malty glares at the Royal Knights and Guards all have nervous or fearful looks on their face. "Damn cowards." She cursed.

After that the king continues. "Now, both Sir Ren and Sir Itsuki shall receive three thousand and eight hundred." Once the two Heroes receive their just reward he turns to Kushina. "And finally I set aside five hundred silvers for the Shield Hero… However, to offset the cost of medical effort for both Sir Motoyasu and Malty, the Shield Hero will not receive any funding at this time."

Kushina isn't faze by this, she and Naruto may look like a family with an average income but they're actually wealthy, Minato's family fortune including the money he earned from his mission and his time being Hokage all went to her and Naruto. Five hundred silvers can be considered pocket change to her. Before she could address the king about a much more important issue Itsuki raises his voice in protest.

"Now hold on a moment, that's not gonna fly, it's not Naruto's fault that Motoyasu got seriously hurt, it is a duel after all and injuries tend to happen, including grievous ones. That's not really fair for him."

Ren adds more to the conversation. "He's right, if Malty didn't cheat on Motoyasu's behalf he wouldn't have fought Lady Tsunade, and speaking of which her attacking Malty is just retaliation for the Wind Spell that struck her… twice by the way."

"I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about, Sir Ren." Malty tries to deny any wrongdoings, though it is very futile as she did it in plain sight believing that the Shadow somehow would miss it. "The nobles had not said anything about me."

"As Lady Tsunade said the king ordered them to be silent, but even then it doesn't really matter." Ren countered. "What's important is the Shadow acting as the referee, she saw you cheated and acted accordingly."

It irks Malty so much, having to be reminded that she have no authority over that damn Shadow.

"And besides, Naruto and his party had protected the village of Lute from the Wave monsters; he at least deserves payment for that." Itsuki stated.

Seeing that two of the venerable Heroes are now vouching for the Shield, Aultcray have no choice but to relent. "Fine, he shall receive the agreed upon amount, nothing more." When servant gives Kushina a bag of coins the king booms. "Now, begone."

Kushina just stands there staring at the king. It is now that she decides to speak. "No, I haven't given an important announcement for all of you yet." Everyone listen in to what she has to say. "Last night, a despicable crime had happened. Armed goons had taken many of Naruto's friends against their will with the intent of selling them off to slaver, placing them in cage wagons set for Siltvelt and Zeltoble." The nobles on the balcony are quite surprise by this news, but Kushina isn't finish. "Appallingly, the masterminds behind this crime are the king and princess!"

This accusation is shocking and very scandalous, the nobles whisper at each other at this massive accusation, looking at the royal pair awaiting their reactions. Malty's calm face is slowly crumbling into an irritated scowl, not only was the plan a bust but they also discovered the people behind it all.

Trying to save face Aultcray outright denies it. "Such outlandish claims, what proof do you have to support your conspiracies?" Though inwardly he is panicking a little, if they manage to give a convincing proof then this will be another scandal losing the confidence and support of the people and nobility on him.

"We already have, we have captured the conspirators and interrogated them." Kushina explained. "Five in fact, three knights and two Shadows, these men tied the victims and loaded them into carts."

"I shall deny any accusations," Roared Aultcray, hoping to make them back down. "It is an obvious smearing tactic, and so I will not listen more to your ramblings. Now, guards, take them away!"

Unfortunately for him, the guards and knights stood rooted in their place, terror overtake them. The source? Tsunade is present glaring at anyone who would like to have a go with her.

Kushina then responds. "One of the victims is Sasuke Uchiha, heir to the Uchiha Clan. The Uchiha Clan is one of the main founders of our village, as well as one of the powerful clans, producing many strong fighters like Shisui and Fugaku and the Legendary Madara. His mother Mikoto Uchiha is the current Head of the Clan and one of the best shinobi I know."

Letting this information sink in Kushina and Tsunade can hear the loud chatter among the nobles.

"One of the Main founders, this boy can be considered royalty then."

"This is bad, so very bad, what was the king thinking?"

"The blame falls on his feet along with the disgraced princess, they should clean this mess they made."

But the redhead isn't done yet, she went to explain more about the victims. "The next victim is Hinata Hyuga, heiress to the Hyuga Clan. The Hyuga Clan is one of the Noble Clans, prominent and also strong like the Uchihas. A kidnapping attempt on Hinata had happened before as such this recent attempt will be met with a massive backlash especially from her parents Hiromi and Hiashi." She is enjoying the looks on their faces as she reveals just who they are dealing with. "Of course I will not forget Kiba and Shino from the Inuzuka and Aburame Clans respectively; they're formidable in their own right having special skills and unique abilities to fight their enemies." She pauses letting them process the information she'd given. "It is in your best interest to compensate them for your actions."

"D-D-Do you think y-you can just bully us into-" Malty exclaimed but is immediately interrupted by Tsunade.

"Deny the crime all you want, ignore all the evidence you like, but that doesn't change the fact that this nation's royalty had conspired to kidnap children from prominent Shinobi Clans, this alone is tantamount to a declaration of war with the Leaf Village and the rest of the Land of Fire! They're already been notified and are preparing to fight in a potential war between us."

Worried murmurs and whispers fill the royal hall; many of the occupants do not want a war especially in times of crisis with the threat of the Waves is still present. The Heroes are also worried, Ren and Itsuki will definitely won't help Melromarc in this especially that they're in the wrong, another reason why they'll back out if a war happen is that they don't want to face Tsunade in the battlefield, even Motoyasu who will no doubt side with Melromarc wouldn't want to be horribly beaten up by the Senju again. In fact Tsunade alone is the reason why many of the nobles are so worried.

They are silence when Kushina speaks again. "Later on, in the afternoon, representatives and envoys from those Clans will arrive to seek an audience with you about the incident, it would be wise that you listen to them and give them what they want."

"Now that we said the things that need to be said, we will take our leave." Without further ado the two women disappear without waiting for the king to have a word.

Hope fills the three Heroes and some of the nobles, there's a chance to avoid such a conflict. Some of the nobles who are fanatics of the church or a war hawk or simply hate the Shield Hero are tempting to shout to the king to deny and start a war but wisely keep their mouth shut knowing that a war will very likely weaken them allowing Siltvelt and other countries to have an advantage over them. They now gaze on the king waiting what he's next course action.

The advisor whispers to the king in an urgent and worried tone a silent argument ensues, seeing the annoyed look on Aultcray's shows that he didn't like the idea lay before him. "…With all due respect, we must hear what they have to say and reach a compromise."

"Fine, I will allow them to enter and give them an audience." Not only the plan failed miserably they now earn the ire of powerful and dangerous Clans from the home world of the Shield Hero. It's still amazing that they're able to bring people here. "And prepare for their arrival."

As the nobles and the three Heroes leave Malty went to her father's side. "Papa, please tell me you have plan?"

He shakes his head. "I'm sorry but the best we can do is to continue to deny the crime, but if they somehow have convincing evidence then we'll give excuses and try to downplay the severity of the plot."

"But can't you just force them to drop it or threaten them?"

"I wish it is that simple, Malty. However if things go bad then perhaps we can have them arrested and use them as hostage." A simple idea in mind, although this is very risky especially with the news of the failed plot is spreading throughout the castle. Though this will be the last resort, if the talks fail to reach a compromise then conflict will surely be inevitable.

Malty also comes up with a similar idea "If they want money for compensation then let's make sure it is the minimum amount. If they are being greedy then they should be arrested for extortion and potential threatening the royalty."

The father and daughter then plans for a potential breakdown of the upcoming negotiations, the advisor who is listening nearby is shaking his head in disappointment he'll be sending a message to the Queen to hurry back to the Capital lest war and chaos ensues. Though the two shouldn't be so loud and bold about their plans to capture them especially that there's a toad just sticking at the back of the throne with a mini audio recorder, when the king and princess are done talking and left the room so too the toad disappearing into a puff of smoke.

Sure enough word of the failed kidnapping attempt spread throughout Castle Town, many of the people are naturally appalled, you would think with the farce trial of the Shield Hero that ended in a scandal Aultcray would avoid a second one. The first is simply embarrassing accusing a twelve year old boy of forcing himself on a young woman almost twice his age, but this second one seems more grievous, attempted kidnapping with the intent to sell them as slaves, children from noble and powerful families no less. Some of the nobles who are very loyal to Mirellia send frantic messages to her about the current situation and that they fear that the king and princess might push for an unwanted war.

The common folks are very uneasy about the news; the street is abuzz with gossip.

"Now I understand why Queen Mirellia chose Lord Seatto as her right hand man and regent instead of her husband."

"No kidding, what happened to the great wise king we all know?"

"Princess Malty also share the blame, making schemes and spreading mischief."

"Yeah, remember all the previous victims she accused? I'm starting to doubt those as well."

"Thank God that she's no longer the heiress to the throne."

"I don't know why, but I'll leave this place if war broke out."

"I'm with you there; I may be a soldier but I don't want to face Lady Tsunade, have you guys seen the duel?"

"Yeah, she utterly wiped the floor with the Spear Hero like he's nothing."

"She almost killed him until the Shield Hero intervened."

"And somehow the king thought that action was cheating."

Itsuki hurries through the street followed by his companions, waving at some of the people and accept the praises. They went inside an inn where they're staying and he began giving them instructions. "Alright then, I want all of you pack all of your belongings, count your money, and buy some provisions and supplies, be prepare to head out in case the talks go south."

"Flee," Mald said incredulously, shock that the great Bow Hero is talking of fleeing a potential battle. "Lord Itsuki, why should we flee when we can stand and fight?"

Welst also joins in hoping to change his mind. "Sir Itsuki, you're asking us to abandon our country Melromarc in her time of need, I don't think the rest of us here wanted to be called traitors."

His green haired companion Rishia is conflicted, on one hand she agrees with her fellow peers and she don't want to disappoint and bring shame to her family, but on the other she cherished her Hero and want to support and help him at all cost.

The Bow Hero sighs as he went to explain his reason. "I understand why you all wanted to stay and defend your kingdom but I cannot fight for Melromarc especially that they're in the wrong, attempting to kidnap children from prominent and powerful clans with plans to sell them off to slavery, I can't find myself siding with the guilty party. But if you want then you can all stay here and fight. Just know that I will not get involve in a conflict."

"But surely with the combined forces of the three Heroes we can defeat them," Mald argued. "It'll be enough to even defeat that Tsunade woman."

There is hope in his voice but Itsuki doesn't share his enthusiasm, he saw the duel between Tsunade and Motoyasu, she didn't just beat him – no – she outright dominated him, he didn't leave a single cut on her and she leaves him all broken on the floor. This woman is a monster in battle and he's very doubtful that they have a chance. "I hate to admit it but I highly doubt it. Just pray that talks between the king and the envoys go peacefully."

At the other parts of town in the circus tent that act as a front for Beloukas' shady activities, men hurriedly carry crates and cages around, loading the goods on carts ready for departure. "Be fast but also be careful, I want all of the merchandise in a safe location in case a war breaks out."

He was once in a city under siege before during a war between Melromarc and Siltvelt, doing his usual business; selling food and medicine accepting every payment including people who offered to sell themselves as slaves in exchange for feeding their family, history books rarely record that the main cause of civilian casualties is not the fighting itself but rather starvation. He witnessed it all, a noble lady giving away her most valuable jewelleries in exchange for a few sacks of potatoes, a thief being skinned alive just because he stole a single apple, an innkeeper cooking rats and crows, and if things goes bad enough the poor and the hungry start eating each other.

He's replacing all the slaves and spices with empty cages and crates of food, in case a war did broke out and a surprise siege happens. Not to mention gather himself a significant number of guards. He went back to his office and hears a familiar voice.

"Everyone's really busy around here."

The merchant sees the Toad Sage standing there by his desk. "Ah, Sir Jiraiya, good to see you again, how can I help you?"

"Same as before, do you any useful information for me?" He got a purse of silvers for him if the info is good.

"Of course, regarding the event this morning the king did in fact planning to capture the envoys and held them as hostages, threatening to sell them to Siltvelt, that is if the talks devolve into hostilities."

"We're already aware of that and are well prepared." Jiraiya stated.

"That's good to hear." Beloukas walks to a table, picks up files secured in packaging paper, and hands it to Jiraiya. "As you requested, here is the documents detailing every persons of interest, regarding about the death of the previous Shield Hero."

The two made the exchange, money and intelligence. Jiraiya wastes no time reading through the documents about the cold case, going through every individuals and their part. One person catches his attention. "The "Heart Taker"?" (1)

"Yes, the Heart Taker," Beloukas said grimly. "That name have been floating around the underworld society for years now ever since he slain the previous Shield Hero Homura Shirono who was the descendant of the first Shield Hero Mamoru Shirono and is quite skilled in the arts of Fire Magic."

"Tell me more about his killer."

Beloukas take a sit on his comfy chair and drinks some tea. "He is a very skilled assassin it's no easy feat to kill Hero who is not only powerful in defence but also have a considerable offensive capabilities, Siltvelt government is fully aware of his existence but kept this information a secret in fear that the accusation of Melromarc could be true that some religious fanatics of theirs could've hired him. As for why he have that particular nickname is because a guard had actually witnessed him killing the Hero by ripping out his heart and… consuming it for lack of the better term."

"Hired, so he's an assassin for hire?"

"Yes, whoever is behind the Hero's death was cautious enough to ensure that the crime cannot be trace back to them."

"Any clue in where he is now?" Jiraiya asked hopeful to get a straight answer.

"That's the thing, the man is a total mystery, as soon as he finish the deed and took the money he vanished, never to be seen nor heard from again." He takes another sip. "It's quite confusing really with all the conflicting three theories."

Jiraiya reads the rest. "Scarlet Cross, a code name for the leader of the church of the three heroes' shadows, leaked to be the one who hired him. This should be easy, I'll just have to sneak in and find that person."

"Just to be sure, you should investigate the other; conveniently two people of interest are in Siltvelt."

The Toad Sage looks at the others; he saw a well-detailed drawing of a woman with bright red wings on her back and feathers on her arms and shoulders, part of the race Shusaku it seems, red eyes and red hair, and wears a very revealing and provocative white dress. "Wilhelma high priestess of the church of the Shield Hero, and a distant relative of Werner, I got to say, she's quite a looker." He ogles at the picture a he continues reading a very peculiar paragraph. "Really now, it's a tradition for them that the Shield Hero take multiple wives with the High Priestess either symbolically or literally his wife or concubine? This guy is surely in heaven."

Beloukas laughs. "It's rather unfortunate for the priestess that he decided for a monogamous relationship, having a loving wife back at Shieldfreeden, she raised a big fuss about it."

"No kidding," He reads further, the details of her and many of her priestesses wanting to bear Homura's child, it also explains that she's very vindictive when offended. "I guess this is the reason why Melromarc claims that she have a hand in his death."

"Yes, the heartbroken religious fanatic who sought to right the wrongs she believed to be committed against her. Melromarc sure twisted some elements to the story but the motive is the same."

Then he reads the next person of interest, a lion beastman who goes by the name Jaralis. The more he read about him the deeper his frown gets. On the surface he seems to be an outstanding noble of Siltvelt but there are many nasty rumours about him, the biggest one is that he leaked sensitive military intelligence to the enemy and betrayed his comrades. "Alright, thank you for the business; I leave to start my investigation."

"Before you go," The portly merchant stops the sage, wanting to tell him about his new merchandise. "These just came this morning, monsters eggs." He presents him a box full of them.

"Is this some kind of game?" He noticed the way they are presented.

"You guessed correctly, for one hundred silvers you can pick one, I pretty much mixed up all the different types of monsters," Beloukas explained how it works. "If you're lucky and pick the right one, you might win a Knight's Dragon which is worth twenty pieces of gold coin."

"I see," Jiraiya stares thinking if he would play. "You know what, sure." He gives him a small sack containing silver coins, and proceeds to browse all the eggs. In just twenty seconds he picks up one.

"Congratulations on your fist monster, may it serve you well." The merchant calls a servant to place the egg inside a special glass container, its purpose is to incubate it until it hatches. "Now before you go, there is something I want to talk to you about the monster you obtain, it might prove useful for the Shield Hero."

Once everything and every discussion are done as well as gaining the instructions about the egg Jiraiya leaves. Whatever hatches out from the egg matters little to him, the idea is to simply a live specimen to study, a pet, a good chance that it'll be a decent battle companions like his Toad Summons. Who knows, maybe it can gain the ability to talk.

It is now afternoon and the whole town are very uneasy, half of the residents are hiding afraid of the incoming envoys while the others are outside doing their daily activities as usual and are very curious and want to see these people with their own eyes. Unknown to them Mirellia had given out a secret order to her loyal knights and soldiers, they are to quietly leave the city through the underground tunnels so the only ones left defending the capital are those who are loyal to the king or the church, leading them is the Vice-Captain of the Knights who's loyalty is only for the Queen.

The guards and knights are on high alert, doubling the men on the walls and gate; unfortunately for them it is futile. Before Kushina even enters the room to deliver the message hundreds of Leaf shinobis had infiltrated the town, quickly disguising themselves as either civilians or soldiers, positioning themselves near the walls and gates, within the castle, and the rest scattered throughout the town ready to take action in case the talks fail and war breaks out, the first to deliver a devastating blow to Melromarc.

"Platoon One is in place, standing by." Kakashi reported.

"Platoon Two, standing by." Yugao reported.

"Platoon Three is ready, standing by." Kurenai reported.

"Platoon Four is here, standing by." Genma reported.

On and on the shinobi communicate with each other signalling that they're ready to act, they're numbering to ten platoons numbering over four hundred.

The guards at the gate are very tense, waiting for hours for their arrival. To break the ice one of them jokes around. "They're sure taking their time… Guess they're a no show."

"Perhaps they finally realize our kingdom's great strength and have back down."

"That's just wishful thinking though."

"What, you're scared?"

"I – admit, it's the fact that they have someone like Lady Tsuna – Aah!"

Out of nowhere over two dozen people appear before them, all seems to be ready for battle. These are the people that Kushina talked about. Leading this group is Mikoto the Matriarch of the Uchiha Clan, behind her are the other insulted parents: Tsume Inuzuka, Shibi Aburame, and last but not least Hiromi Hyuga. Now why the mother instead of the father? Upon learning of Melromarc's matriarchal nature Hiashi thought it would be best that his wife takes his place, believing that the words of a mother have more weight than the father's, a strategic move.

"We are the envoys from the Village Hidden in the Leaves and we are expected, as such take us to your king immediately!" Mikoto is usually the kind and gentle woman to everyone, but here she is showing a more stern and authoritative aura, as expected of the current Head of the Clan, and she also letting off a sinister killer intent, she's very angry to say the least when she heard that her son was captured with the intent to be sold off.

The guards make way for the group of knights who come forward; the arrogant knight captain addresses them. "Welcome to our great Capital, esteemed guests, I and my men are here to escort you all to the castle." Before the group can move forward he stops them. "But before you go it is required you all must surrender your weapons to us, its simple security measure for the safety of the royal family, I can assure it."

The clan heads and the accompanying shinobi aren't buying this one bit. These knights didn't asks the Cardinal Heroes to surrender their weapons on their first day, though to be fair the Legendary cannot be separated from the chosen wielder. Either way, they are not they're going in unarmed.

"We prefer to keep our weapons," Hiromi said. "Your king and princess conspired to kidnap my daughter along wither her friends, we do not trust them to be honourable in the meeting."

"Either you let us pass, or we'll take our leave," Mikoto warned, tempting to use her Sharingan on this hapless twit. "And war between our nations will commence."

"I-I – Uh – Well –" The knight captain stuttered, torn between insisting that they hand over their weapons or let them in the castle armed to the teeth. Finally he allows them, after all they are only twenty six of them in a town with a several hundreds of soldiers, knights, and adventurers not to mention that the Wise King is always here to solve any problems he faced. "I understand, please follow us."

The knights lead the way with the shinobis behind them, townspeople are aligning the streets taking a look at the newly arrived newcomers, the envoys that Kushina spoke off, they watch with wonder thinking if these clans are powerful as the she claimed.

"Are they the envoy?"

"It seems like it."

"Some of them are wearing the same clothing as Miss Kushina, so it must be them."

"They look quite formidable."

"Miss Kushina did say that these clans produce the best fighters."

The shinobi pay no mind to them and focus on the way. Soon enough they reach the castle and through the halls, knights form two lines flanking their left and right, but while they think they can take them on they didn't know the shinobi lurking in the shadows.

In the throne room the royals, the Spear Hero, and the nobles are gathered to greet and see these people, a robed man is carrying a crystal ball that'll broadcast this exchange to the people outside. The great doors open and the shinobi walk in with pride. A shinobi named Catherine addresses the crowd. "Present here today are the leaders of the four Shinobi Clans: Mikoto Uchiha Matriarch of the Uchiha Clan, Hiromi Hyuga wife of the Clan Head of the Hyuga Hiashi Hyuga, Tsume Inuzuka Head of Inuzuka Clan, and Shibi Aburame Head of the Aburame Clan." A moment of silence follows, letting them gaze upon these people. Motoyasu being a skirt chaser is ogling at the three women. It is the king who breaks the silence putting on a fake smile and a forced friendly tone. "I bid you all welcome to Melromarc, a pleasure to meet powerful leaders of your clan."

Tsume scoffs and makes snide remark. "Our visit here is anything but pleasant, that's for sure."

Aultcray is annoyed but keeps up a welcoming façade. "I confess that I'm surprise to hear that you're coming, but please let us talk and reach a compromise about this misunderstanding."

Shibi then responds. "A misunderstanding you say? I don't see planning and executing a kidnapping plot on our children a misunderstanding."

Mikoto narrows her eyes dangerous at this fool with a crown. "My friend Kushina told me and Hiromi that you outright deny the allegations, an insult to the victims, tell me what is your excuse for that?"

The princess believes that there is no way they have any evidence that links the royals to the crime, with sweet and annoying tone she says. "Please, esteemed guests, you let your friendship blinds you. It's her word against ours; we would never ever take in such horrid crime. She probably mistaken the shady enslavers as agents and knights of ours, we can-"

Hiromi rudely interrupts the princess calling out to one of her kinsmen. "Ko, bring up the recordings."

"Yes, My Lady!" Ko went forward and takes out a storage scroll, unsealing a simple television set. Powering this is a simple seal that feeds it electricity. He then presents two tapes for Hiromi.

The Lady of the Hyuga Clan proceeds to play one of the tapes, for all the audience to see the first one show royal knights and hooded shadows forcing the tied up genins into the cage wagon. When the screen goes dark she went and plays another tape this time an interrogation of the conspirators.

"Alright, fine, I confess, the conspiracy is true, the princess comes up with the idea and the king plan out the whole thing from the rigged duel to the disguised Shadows attending the banquet."

"Is it also true that you're planning to sell the captives to Siltvelt and Zeltoble as slaves?" Asked an individual to which the shinobis recognize as Ibiki Morino, they can feel the disdain in his voice.

"Yes, we already contacted some slave traders there."

The dialogue between the captured shadow and the interrogator goes one with the former telling the latter everything about the plot. When it's over Hiromi faces the nobles. "As you can see, it is clear as day that those men are indeed knights and Shadows following your directives. It's pointless to deny this, king."

Aultcray can feel the eyes of everyone on him. He begrudgingly admits it. "Alright, I admit it; I did plan out the kidnapping mission, every detail of it. But you must understand, I did all of that to ensure the Shield Demon is weak and is incapable of doing harm to my country and family. My friend the pope has warned me that the Shield will be a cunning and manipulative individual and should not be trusted."

"Shield Demon, you mean Naruto Uzumaki?" Hiromi glares at this man for basically letting his bias against the Shield Hero cloud his judgement. "You truly take his word for it?"

"If Naruto is a demon then I'm an enchanted mermaid swimming at the open sea," Tsume said. "We are all fully aware about this cult of yours called the church of the three Heroes that sees the Shield as some devil, and you who target the Shield Hero just to spite your enemy the country of Siltvelt."

"We are also aware about what happen to your sister and parents; you have my sympathies for your loss." Shibi expresses a more condolence tone, but it immediately change to cold and calculating. "But that does not give you the excuse to mistreat Naruto, not to mention the excessive discrimination on the beastmen and demi humans."

"You all don't understand," The king's fist bangs the arm of his throne, raising his voice. "If I let the Shield Hero free and do as he pleases then he will surely conspire with my enemies, bring ruin to my kingdom, and bring tragedy to my family again. No, I cannot let happen, never!"

Silence for a moment, then laughter, they turn to Mikoto laughing at the king like he said some funny joke. "Naruto, a young twelve year old boy, conspiring with your enemies, my friend is right, you truly are pathetic. Let me tell you this, the only one who will bring ruin and tragedy to your kingdom and family, is none other than you and that disgraceful princess." She points at the two shocking them and the nobles.

"You're crazy!" Malty shouted. "Why Papa and me would seek the destruction of our own nation."

Motoyasu chimes in expressing his opinion of the absurdity of the Uchiha's words. "Yeah, it doesn't make any sense; I don't understand why you even come up with that idea."

"Why?" Mikoto asked with a knowing look, brushing her fingers under her chin. "Well it is very simple, by summoning all four of the Legendary Heroes in a single country Melromarc have gained a great animosity from the others especially the strongest one Faubrey, if it weren't for Queen Mirellia's wit and savviness Melromarc would've been destroyed by so many enemies. Second, with that farce of a trial and you exposing yourself of having such uncontrollable grudge the people are losing faith in you justifying the Queen's decision of removing you from regency, not to mention strengthen the notion that princess Malty is not fit to sit on that throne."

"No way, please don't tell me that you didn't believe Malty's testimony." Motoyasu cried, although he is conflicted, he wanted to believe the princess' story but the fact of Naruto's age make him doubt them.

"Of course we don't," Hiromi replied. "Kushina already provided an alibi for him which is him being with her and my daughter the whole time, a proof of innocence which you like to ignore so much."

Tsume laughs at the accusation. "It's a good laugh, basically a young woman who is in her what – twenty – twenty one? Is claiming a kid of twelve years old violently raped her. And you expect your people to be stupid enough to believe that?" Had the princess accused Naruto of minor crimes like stealing or vandalism then the people are likely going to believe it, but a very serious crime like rape and people will doubt and demand a very solid evidence first. She can see the princess' smiling face is twisting into a rage; she prods further just to piss this bratty princess off. "I heard some rumours about you, a sexual crime did happen but YOU are the perpetrator."

"And last, by seeking to unreasonably undermine and harm Naruto Uzumaki not only you make an enemy of his mother Kushina and his aunt Lady Tsunade, but the rest of us and to the extent the whole Village Hidden in the Leaves." Mikoto stated.

"You would risk war over the plight of one brat?" Malty said.

Hiromi answers her. "Kushina is our best friend, we fought together, help us when we need her, though she never flaunts it she and Naruto are actually part of a Clan the famed Uzumaki, and this clan is the closest ally to the Senju Clan one of the Founding Members of our Village, thus making them very important to us. And with the heinous plot against our children we finally have the reason to declare an all-out war with Melromarc. But fortunately for you, our leader the Hokage urged us to first talk to you demanding compensation for your wrongdoings."

Many of the nobles sigh a relief, thankful that this "Hokage" is a level-headed person though some are worried about the compensation hoping that it's not too much. The advisor whispers to the king, no doubt urging him to give them what they want.

"Fine, what do you want?"

Mikoto takes a step forward to give a list of demands. "First you are to give twenty thousand silvers for each family who you and your daughter wronged: The Uchiha, the Hyuga, the Inuzuka, the Aburame, this also includes a normal family the Haruno since Sakura was captured, and also to the Uzumakis who you tried to undermine and harm; a total of one hundred twenty thousand." Murmurs echoes through the hall, though hefty they can afford it, some of the nobles are thinking of paying themselves in case the king is stubborn which unfortunately he is.

"You are demanding an outrageous amount, I believe at least five thousand each should be enough."

"And what, downplay your crime, so you can swept all your dirty laundry under the rug?" Tsume accused.

"I think you don't understand the predicament you are in," Shibi began. "You and your kingdom are in no position in waging war with us, the Leaf Village is in peace for many years now and yours is facing an all-out war from your neighboring countries and the threat of the Waves of Calamity."

"And how do I know you will take advantage and extort this nation?"

"That will only happen if you continue your stupid and petty vendetta against Naruto Uzumaki." Hiromi said. "In fact this is another demand of ours: This kingdom is to cease its hostility towards the Shield Hero, for he has done nothing wrong."

Sharpening her nails that are ready to tear Tsume adds. "Seriously, why are you are so gung-ho in targeting Naruto when it's obvious he and the previous Shield Hero are two very different people?"

"He is considered a god to those animals from Siltvelt and Shieldfreeden," The king bellowed going on a rant. "If left alone they will surely sway him to take that mantle, and incite campaigns of conquest against us, no, I cannot allow it! The Shield Hero must remain weak and under our dominance to insure the safety of my nation and family."

"So that how it is then, you refuse to accept our demands? And even if you did pay you will never leave Naruto alone." Mikoto venomously said her Sharingan activating. Peace was given a chance, it didn't work. "Simply unacceptable, the talks are over, let it be official now, war will begin!"

Those last three words echoes throughout the hall, to those warmongering or fanatics it is a wish granted a chance to finally put their enemies in place, to the peacemakers and loyal supporters of Mirellia this is a nightmare they'll going to pay for the king's arrogance. Motoyasu readies himself for future battles, he is still angry that Ren and Itsuki have completely opted out of the conflict.

"Don't be so angry when I do this, Knights, arrest them all, we shall take them as hostages." Malty ordered she's going to enjoy breaking them down especially this Tsume woman. Knights point their spears at the envoys ready to apprehend them.

Motoyasu grips his spear tighter in case they get rowdy. "Please, surrender, we don't want to hurt you."

When they approach them Mikoto ominously say. "Your greatly mistaken if you think you can capture us so easily."

They will learn that the shinobis aren't trap in this room, oh no, they are trapped in here with the shinobis. Without warning the shinobi spring into action, engaging the nearby knights. With a swift swipe of her wakizashi Izumi Uchiha takes down two knights, she spots another running at her with a sword, throwing a kunai with speed were it pierces and lodges deep into the man's head. Three knights charge at the Uchiha Matriarch but are stop when Naori Uchiha gets in their way, they made the fatal error of gazing into her eyes resulting in her putting them in a genjutsu, with her prey immobilized she cuts them down with her sword.

The Hyuga goes for the hidden enemies the Shadows, no matter how well they hide, how great their disguise, the Byakugan can see right through them. With the reputable Gentle Fist Ko, Tokuma, and the rest of Hiromi's bodyguards inflict lethal blow on the hidden agents. Five knights beset Hiromi with their swords and spears ready to penetrate, when got within melee range Hiromi strikes the three in front of her sending them flying then attacks the man on her right, she dodges an attack then strikes the man.

The Inuzuka are quite ferocious, Tsume tears her way through multiple knights. One of Minato's close associates Gaku performs the Tunnelling Fang to attack many enemies, and he is very careful that it didn't cause too much damage to the structure or hit an ally. Shibi sends thousands of his little friends to envelope many enemies draining their chakra and slowly devouring them, close to him is Tei Aburame with her expert marksmanship throws multiple kunais each hitting its mark, a Shadow appears and tries to take her down, she parries three strikes then quickly attack slashing his abdomen and plunging the kunai deep into his neck. (2b)

At the great doors Catherine fights two knights avoiding their attacks until she sees an opening dispatching them both with a single swing of her katana. Near her is Raido battling a Shadow, after delivering a fatal blow by stabbing on the neck he narrowly avoids a spear from a knight, he grabs the spear and kicks the armoured man away then proceed to impale the man with his own spear. They and four more secure the main entrance to the throne room.

Up on the balcony Knights and Shadows went to the balustrades and aim their crossbows, pull the trigger and bolts shoot out, but the projectiles didn't get to their intended target, all are intercept mid-air by shurikens kunai knives. Kakashi and two Anbu operatives appear and take out the crossbowmen, with kunais and swords they slaughter their opponents with ease. The crossbowmen try to fight back getting in a formation and let loose a barrage, the Anbu operatives just use the corpse of their enemy as their shield while Kakashi easily dodges all the bolts, once the barrage pass they reengage the enemy.

While the fight rages the nobles quickly fled going for the exits, but all of them a barred by shinobis one of them Aoshi speak loudly. "Alright you guys, calm down and kindly stay where you are or return to your spot." (2c)

"DIE SCUM!" A knight charges with the intent to stab and then make a way out for the nobles.

Aoshi reacts quickly and with a heavy swing of his short spiked kanabo hit the man square in the head denting his helmet and cracking open his skull, sending him flying. Two Shadows attack him from his flanks, he hastily deals the one on his left giving the masked man no time to react as he smash his skull with his weapon, with instincts he narrowly avoids a sword and immediately counters by elbowing the guy on the face follow by a knee to the gut, then finish with the kanabo colliding with the Shadow's chin.

When Mikoto declares the war to begin all platoons went into action taking the town by surprise, first they take over the walls and gates controlling all the main access, then the rest will engage the enemy on the streets though they are very careful not to injure any civilians. Melromarc knights, soldiers, town guards, adventurers and any other loyal Melromarc fighters try to take control of the situation but are hit hard. Everywhere there is battle, the sound of clashing steel, explosion, and death. Civilians are quickly to hide within their homes.

A squad of shinobis quickly take control of a gate. Using his clan's Expansion Jutsu Doto grew into a giant taller than the gatehouse, dozens of guards can only gawk in shock at him, taking his role as a temporary gate guardian he begins stomping on the enemy. While the Akimichi deals the one on the ground the rest of the team began clearing the adjacent walls, Genma accompanied by Shito and Hoheto engages the enemy on the right. On the other side two shinobi are providing long range supports for Senji Hakari using a kusarigama with lethal efficiency killing three town guards within seconds. (2d)

"D-D-Don't back down, we outnumber them, we must get to the gate house!" Right after the knight said that the sickle blade is at the side of his neck then his head is flying the next second.

A chained weight flies and smashes one of the knight's nose and simultaneously slashes another man's throat, Hakari blocks a sword strike and quickly decapitates the attacker, then he goes for a low blow severing off the foot of an adventurer causing him to fall off the wall, then follows by slashing the man with a new broken nose across the chest.

A mage begin uttering an incantation to cast a spell, but midway through the kusarigama chains wraps around him. Hakari increases the chakra flow through his weapon strengthening the lightning and electrocuting the man, he pulls the man through him off the wall. He charges at numerous knights and men-at-arms parrying bolts and arrows.

Down on the streets Melromarc forces are either going to the gates and walls or the castle to protect their king, a squad stop in their track when a vial is drop in front of them, the vial is surprisingly intact but the liquid bubbles and shakes violently until it explode. On the roof Kagaku continues throwing vials of potent and volatile concoctions down on the street doing with a manic smile on his face. Three Shadows appear above him with their swords out falling until they stab him at the same time, Kagaku smiles as he burst into a puff of smoke using the Substitution Jutsu to replace him with a log. (2e)

"What the hell, where did he go?"

There is a vial tied to the log and before they know it explode covering them with a poisonous smoke cloud. Kagaku appear not too far from them with glee in his face as the Shadows start to convulse and cough violently, shakily slumping down as they cough out blood.

Yugao and Hayate engage a large number of town guards, combining with their proficiency with the katana they cut down every single man in their path, a dance of blade were the couple watch each other's back, their movement is in perfect sync, dispatching enemies with lethal proficiency, numbers means nothing.

"Take them down; it's just the two of them!" The leader shouted as he throws more men to the meat grinder.

Adventurers and men-at-arms gather to prepare for a counterattack, before they can head they stop as petals falls all around making them enamored to it, when all of them are incapacitated by the illusion several kunais rain down on them killing many. Kurenai surprise them with a powerful genjutsu, Asuma and Aki Yumehime jumps down to knock out or eliminate. (2f)

Itsuki and Ren are watching from the distance as their companions are fighting the invaders, seven of them against three shinobis, one they recognize well is Might Guy accompanied by two masked men. The companions are confident at first but when the fight began they're in the losing side and losing bad. Welst, Tersia, and Farrie are all knocked out, Bakta is slump against a wall severely wounded but still alive, Mald, Rojeel, and Welt are still standing but it will not last long.

"And here I was hoping that the peace talks will end up with peace." Itsuki commented watching Mald swinging his sword wildly at the green jumpsuit wearing man who dodges all attacks.

"Now it seems impossible, especially with the fact that the king will not stop harassing Naruto just for the sins of his predecessors."

"Maybe being in the losing side will knock some sense into him." Itsuki said studying the way the shinobis fight, an Anbu uses his katana to slash Rojeel on the chest and kicks him on the chest sending Rojeel crashing into a window. Then he turns to Ren with a question. "You're not going to help them?"

"No, it's simply injustice that I fight alongside the guilty party against the victim, and if they want to fight for their country then I'll not complain."

Itsuki shares his sentiments; at least Rishia is still with him. Seeing Might Guy knocks Mald out with a single powerful punch to the face is when he decides to leave. "I got to go now before they spot us."

"Right behind you."

Back in the throne room Motoyasu is having a hard time fending off two women Reisha Shirogane and Naori, he would've flirt with them if it weren't for the fact that these two are trying to kill him, the assault is bringing up traumatizing memories for the Spear Hero. When he tries to attack Reisha she dodges flawlessly, he narrowly avoids a sword to the face which cuts his right cheek, he sees another blade coming down on him and he barely parries the strike with his gauntlet though this leaves him open where Reishi kicks him on the chest making him stagger backwards. He finds Naori's red eyes very unnerving as if they're staring straight into his very soul. (2g)

While the Spear Hero battles his companion Malty is watching the losing fight unfolds her cowardice is showing as she hides behind a knight but he drops death with a kunai pierced his forehead, she tries to make a run for it but comes across Tsume.

"Where do you think you're going?" She slaps Malty and grabs her neck.

"Sir Motoyasu, help!"

"Malty!" Seeing his princess in trouble Motoyasu turns to rush to her aid, a severe mistake as his two opponents take advantage of this, Reisha hit his gut with her sword handle and Naori hit him from behind knocking him out unconscious.

Despite all the battle around him Aultcray glares at this Uchiha woman who merely smiles at him, her red eyes the Sharingan bearing down at him, the two knights who are still alive at his side decide to charge forward at this woman with their spears pointing at her.

"Protect the King!"

When they get near there was a sudden flash of a sword and the two knights drop down on their knees their head falling and rolling on the floor. She is holding her katana in her hand; they didn't even see her unsheathe it as she walks towards the king. He don't know if its illusion or something else but the world around him darkens, Mikoto takes a form of a dark shadowy figure her red eyes still visible as were her blade. Aultcray is thinking of anything but got nothing considering the current situation, for the first time the Wise King of Melromarc doesn't have a plan, his knights and Shadows are dead or dying, the Spear Hero is knocked out, her daughter is subdued and handled roughly by this Inuzuka woman, Melromarc lost.

Mikoto turns to the robed man whose knees are shaking, he is still carrying the crystal orb broadcasting everything on the on-going events in the throne room. She addresses the king. "Despite the conflict have started I believe it's not too late for you to make things right, surrender now and end this war, agree with the compensation to us and added with another twenty thousand silvers as war indemnity, you will now make a pledge to cease any of your conspiracy to undermine the Shield Hero."

"Do you think you can just bully us into submission? Melromarc will surrender to the likes of you!" His defiance only seems to amuse the Uchiha woman.

"That's fine by me, as I would like to deliver a decisive and fatal blow on this kingdom, by killing you first to deprive Melromarc of a renowned strategist and tactician, take your daughter Malty and many of the nobles here as hostages, force all three Heroes to go to different nations as intended by the international agreement, and inflict as much destruction and casualties within this nation to the point where it'll be too weak to defend herself from foreign invaders." She raises her sword high and aims for the neck intending to decapitate him in one swift swing.

"Wait!" Cried Aultcray, the blade stops so suddenly and it's just in time, lightly touching his neck. "You win, I surrender, just let this end in peace." If he were to die he would prefer that his family and kingdom is in a powerful position where it can easily dominate other nations. Malty tries to scream but Tsume's hand is covering her mouth painfully.

"So there is some intelligence residing inside that head of yours." Mikoto mocked the fighting in the room stop and when the rest of the town heard his surrender the conflict came to a halt.

Aultcray just bows his head in shame, leaning to his left and his left hand is over his eyes. "Just take the silvers and go away."

"Not quite done yet, you haven't pledge to cease your conspiracies against Naruto."

"Fine, I will not bother the Shield hero anymore; think no schemes nor discrimination, happy now?"

"Good," Mikoto sheathes her sword, glancing at the robed man to see if he's still broadcasting. The Advisor hurriedly heads off to get the money for the compensation. "And as a warning, if you break that pledge I will come back when you least expecting it and burn you and rest of this town to ground."

The Advisor returns with fourteen servants all are carrying wooden chests then present it all for them. "Lady Mikoto, here are silver coins as per agreement, all seven chests contain twenty seven silvers."

Hiromi signals for her comrades to take the money, shinobis came and seal the chests into storage scrolls. Malty tries to scream but nothing but muffled sounds, mouth still hold shut by Tsume.

Mikoto now made a public announcement for the nobles present and the people outside. "Rejoice, kingdom of Melromarc, for the war is over… on the same day it started. Let there be everlasting peace between us and maybe a partnership in the future." She is a bit sarcastic in the end there, as she knew that this king will surely but subtly revert back to undermining Naruto.

After that speech every single shinobi in the castle and town all disappear in a puff of smoke leaving behind many dead, wounded, and a shock audience.

You know I was hoping that many of the OCs you offered are from the Shinobi Clans like the Uchiha and Hyuga, I definitely should put up this one "Clan:", maybe next time.

Here's some new story line: Fillers, extra stories that are relevant to the story or certain characters small or important, ideas from my head.

Filler 1: Cat Girl and Dog Boy, the first meeting

Tamaki brought her sick cat in a pet carrier to best veterinary clinic, distressed look on her face as she's speed walking through the streets. Soon she finds the clinic owned by the Inuzuka Clan, she is a bit nervous as there are a lot of dogs but steels herself before going through the doors is where she meets boy her age stacking a counter with medicine.

They blush when they look at each other, Kiba freeze for a few seconds before snapping into reality and put the box away. "Oh hey, uh – welcome to the clinic, how can I help you?"

"Wha – oh, it's my cat Nikki, she's sick, having fever and been vomiting for three days now."

"Okay, lay her on the table, my sis will be here at any moment." She leads her to the table.

Tamaki saw Akamaru standing there, although he's adorable she is on guard worried for her cat.

Seeing her face Kiba calms her down. "Don't worry, Akamaru won't bite, I trained him to be friendly to any animal in need of help, all of Inuzuka dogs do." To show that he's no danger to the feline the pup jumps from the table and sits at Kiba's side.

Now well assured Tamaki opens the carrier and carefully picks up a sick kitten and lays her on the table. Kiba went to collect some medical tools thermometer, alcohol, syringe, cotton balls and other items for his sister to use. Soon enough Hana came back and is greeted with a worried girl and went to treat the cat to find out what's ailing her.

I find Kiba and Tamaki's relationship interesting though I'm a little disappointed that they didn't have any kids in Boruto

Filler 2: River Nailah

Four thousand years before the birth of the Sage of the Six Paths there was a great kingdom called Amara; it was once a prosperous land located in the sandy deserts of the Land of Wind. It is believe that this nation is the first civilization, the cradle of cities and governance, of prosperity and progress, of culture and growth. The source of their wealth, their food, their way of life is the sacred River Nailah, lands near the water are very fertile resulting in an abundance of crops making it the bread basket of the world. With such a great nation it has a great army and navy of the time able to dominate many of its neighbours.

Alas its greatness did not last; a disastrous event happened the river had completely dried up, people starve, then they fight over scarce resources, one thing leads to another, the instability and infighting had reach to the point where the entire nation had collapsed. Many of the inhabitants moved to the oases throughout the desert were it will remain fragmented until they are unified by the first Kazekage Reto and the Wind Daimyo.

All that change when Rasa and Minato meet, while the former requested thirty percent arable land like the rest of the former Kazekage did the latter offered a solution, try to revive the river Nailah and present the idea as his. Rasa was doubtful but decided to give it a try and so a combined team of Leaf and Sand shinobis was formed, heading to the northern mountains within Wind Country's borders there comes a across multiple springs and small lakes, and a raging river that flows west. Some historians believe that before the great river dried up there was a massive earthquake which caused a landslide and rockslide that blocked the access and redirect the river west, so the solution is simple undo the damage caused by the earthquake and reroute the river south, using Earth and Water Jutsu they did just that, water is flowing through River Nailah once again.

Per Minato's idea Rasa claimed all credit for himself and his Sand Shinobi thus impressing the Wind Daimyo who is very enthusiastic about the history of his nation; this halted the Daimyo's plan in cutting budget and outsourcing missions from the Sand Village to the Leaf Village. The Daimyo also invested a lot not just farms but also plantations that'll produce spices and nonedible products like cotton and papyrus, in just five years the investments are making a profit, an agricultural specialist in court had stated that it'll have the potential to be the a very lucrative business similar to the glory days of Amara.

The alliance between the two nations have strengthen, Rasa sees the Leaf in a more positive light owing many of the good changes on his village and country to Minato who have shown to be genuine in helping his friend and ally.

So this is the change in the story and a big change I realize, this will mean that Rasa will not betray the Leaf Village, though Gaara would still be a Jinchuriki of the One-Tail he will grow up happy as his status will be kept a secret like Naruto. And a reason for me to add him and his siblings to fight alongside Naruto against the Waves, I just have to think the right moment when they'll appear.

Next up, an omake, I've been thinking about this for a while now.

Omake 1

Madara's Companions

All of the guests are silent upon hearing Motoyasu's challenge and throwing his glove at the Shield hero. Madara is not intimidated nor have an ounce of care on this insignificant Hero, he is the legendary Madara Uchiha and this runt is nothing but a child amateurishly wielding a deadly weapon. "What do you want from me?"

"You heard me right; I'm challenging you to a duel!"

"There is more to this than a simple spar, am I right?"

"Yeah, I heard that these three girls with you are slave!"

Silence follows at this confrontation; many nobles have very fake gasp or surprise, Madara turns to his students Raphtalia, Rifana, and Keel. Turning to the Spear Hero he says. "You'll be disappointed to know that these girls are not my slave. In fact I freed them, train them, raise them like my own, and they fight for me on their own will."

"Like hell that happened, I refused to believe a single you word you say!" Motoyasu shouted though Madara just gives him an annoyed look. "Duel me, if I win then you set them free!"

"And what will I get if I win?"

"That will never happen, but in some miracle it did then things stay the same."

Team Shield just look at him bemused, no incentives to accept a duel, Madara have a lot to lose, the Spear Hero is being a complete gullible idiot, he could fight him but it'll be too boring. They await Madara's response who takes a minute of silence before answering. "I politely decline, I get nothing from this duel and fighting you will be a waste of my time and talent… And my companions are not prizes to be won."

Before they can leave the king and accompanied by his knights block their way. "I heard enough!" Aultcray began. "A Hero using slaves is a disgraceful, of course only the Criminal Hero would do such a thing."

"I can't believe you have slave in your party." Itsuki said with disgust.

"Not one but three slave, I thought he couldn't stoop any lower, but he did."

Madara is completely unfazed by their words; he'd been called far worst. An idea came to mind, turning to his companions he talks very loudly enough for the others to hear. "If you three want to be "free" then stay here with the Spear Hero, but if you still want to fight by my side go to the doors over there, I'll be waiting." Madara turns to look at the knights and adventurers present. "Also, there might be some people who will stop you so feel free to fight your way out… Oh, and for some challenge, no killing."

The Uchiha suddenly disappears, the people are quick to turn to the doors and sure enough he is there waiting while drinking a glass of wine. Raphtalia grabs hold of her swords, Keel summons a quarter staff from her scroll she would've use a spear but Madara said no killing, and Rifana is tempting to shoot arrows at the king as revenge for the suffering they had endured.

"HA, so that low life is all talk and no bite," Motoyasu walks up to the three girls that he's currently fancied with failing to notice that they are glaring at him. "Come on you three, we got to remove those Curs-."

Without warning, Raphtalia hits him in the head with her sheathed sword hard sending him flying and crashing on a table. Rifana nock, draw, and aims at the king tempting to kill him but instead she let the arrows loose and hit the knights at his side instead, arrows plunging deep into the legs.

Aultcray and many of the non-combatants step back surprise at the three demi-humans' sudden aggression. Three knights charge with their sword raised, but Keel strikes first and fast with a mighty swing knocks all three at the side. Two Shadows appear flanking Raphtalia and intend to take her down, but she blocks them with her scabbard and sword, she simultaneously hit the right Shadow with the pommel and kick the left Shadow, sensing a Shadow behind her she quickly sheathes her sword and turns suddenly and strike a Shadow on the head knocking him out.

"What are you think you're doing?" Itsuki aims his Bow at Rifana. "Can't you see we're trying to help you?"

Rifana scowls. "Help us how exactly? Didn't you hear what Lord Madara said? We are not his slaves."

Not wanting to do this Itsuki shot at her but she dodges it easily and counterattacks with her own, he's too slow to avoid resulting in the arrow hitting him in the knee.

Ren assisted in trying to restrain the three taking on Keel, with his sword raised he shouts. "Crimson Swo-" He is interrupted as the dog demi-human grabs his mouth to silence him then proceeds to kneed him in the gut making him bend over. Keel twirls her staff for show then hits Ren on the back.

Rifana is strangling one of Bow Hero's companions Mald with her bow string, when she sees Welst and Rojeel running to stop her she throws the big man at them showing off an impressive display of strength.

Wanting to punish the princess for making false accusation against her saviour Raphtalia appears before Malty and bitch slaps her.

"HEY, how dare you do-" Lesty is backhanded by the Tanuki demi-human.

"Hold on, you can't just-" Elena is given the same treatment a palm to the face.

The king goes to reprimand these girls, shock that they willing to be slaves to the Shield Hero though it should be expected of demi-humans, and anger that this particular girl struck his daughter. "Stop this nonsense this instant, I don't know why you deny freedom, but you three must be punish for-"

Raphtalia punch the old man hard, it's very cathartic for her as this king is one of the reason of her and her friends' hardship, removing any protection that Lurolona had and allowing hostile forces to do as they please with them. "Don't talk like you're doing us a favour you old fart, we know well how you view us demi-humans, you see us as nothing but savages, wild animals that need to be put down or enslaved. You're not doing this in good faith, you're doing this to deprive Lord Madara of any companion, and I'm very certain that you'll have us either executed or sold us off to slavery once you "freed" us." She then walks over the king stomping on his belly then on his face.

The Shield Hero's companions walks up to the door the nobles and guests part ways not wanting to confront them. There Madara greets them. "Ah, so you three made your choice."

"I made promise that I'll serve as your sword, no one can make me change my mind." Raphtalia declared placing her hand on her chest.

"You done so much to help us, training us to become so strong." Keel said.

"Yeah, we owe you our lives; we will fight with you till the bitter end." Rifana added.

"That's good to hear," Madara smiles at their determination, thinking back to what could have been if he didn't defect from the Leaf Village and start a family. "Now let us retire for the night, I believe we caused too much of a ruckus here." And they left the scene, no one tries to stop them and the watching guests can only watch with awe.

Motoyasu duels: Madara Uchiha

The two combatants' are face off against each other in the arena ready to fight in the Sacred Duel. The king initially ordered that his "slaves" be tied up, but the nine knights tried but got knocked out, more knights about twenty tried but the result is the same on the floor out cold, then the Shadows, until Madara amusingly said "They don't like to be touch nor be gagged and tied up, best that you leave them be", after he said that they give up trying.

"The duel between the Spear Hero and the Shield Hero is about to begin, a loss will occur when a competitor is either pin down or surrendered." Aultcray declared.

"Good luck, Sir Motoyasu." Malty pecks her champion on the cheek.

Motoyasu is basking at the approving gaze of the audience, they expect an honourable and good fight and to put that disgraceful Hero in his place. "Hey Madara, do you know the folk tale about the irresistible spear and the immovable shield?"

The man just chuckles. "Why yes, I heard of that somewhere before…" Many smile thinking he's admitting that Motoyasu is superior, until he continues. "The tale of how the irresistible spear suffered a humiliating defeat after he passed out from exhaustion trying to pierce the shield all day, and then the immovable shield finished him off by bashing his head in." That sends shivers down their spine. "The lesson of that tale is patience and to not be so reckless and arrogant."

Motoyasu wasn't expecting that answer, in fact he felt infuriated that this man thinks he can defeat him. "Madara, just be man and admit defeat, there is no way you can beat me."

"Admit defeat?" Madara said somewhat amused. "Now why should I do that, we haven't even fought yet."

"Then I'll bring you to your knees for the sake of those girls, tout de suite!" Motoyasu can't wait to beat this man into submission. When the king shouts "You may now begin!" is when he immediately goes for a quick strike.

Madara nonchalantly blocks the attack, then he parries the second strike, he blocks the spear again which he notes have more force behind it. Pushing him back he saw the blond young man smirks.

"You block it, as expected of a Shield Hero." Preparing a Weapons Skill he shouts. "Lightning Spear!" The Legendary Weapon shoots a beam of electricity towards the target exploding and creating a cloud of dust. Motoyasu smirks believing that he land a devastating blow, but when the dust cloud dissipates they're surprise to see that he is completely fine. Not letting up he charges forward with a war cry a power thrust to the head.

The audience is surprise again when Madara caught the tip of the spear blade between his fingers, Motoyasu tries to pull back but Madara have a very strong grip on the spear it's like trying to pull out a nail without a hammer. Then with a flick of a finger the Legendary Spear is thrown and clanks on the floor leaving Motoyasu unarmed and shock. Madara leans slightly. "Well… Pick it up."

Snapping from his stupor Motoyasu steps back and summons the Spear to his hand. He attacks him again with much more vigour.

Madara moves his head to the right avoiding the spear, "Slow..." Moving to the left, "Sloppy..." He ducks backward to avowing a swing. "Sad!". He blocks a spear attack; his Sharingan now activated is bearing down on this little runt of a Hero. Shoving back and watches as Motoyasu jumps high and attacks from above but he grabs him by the neck when he's close. "How are you the great Spear hero if can't even leave a single cut on my skin or clothes." He then kicks sending him sliding across the floor.

Motoyasu stands up and gets into a fighting stance; his face is now full of worries and doubt and is shiny with sweat. "O-Okay, I may have underestimated you but I will not hold back!"

"Really now, because I haven't break a sweat and you are wet."

"Chaos Spear!" The Legendary Spear splits up into multiple spears which then fly towards the target; hitting and causing a cloud of dust that cover the view.

Without warning Madara dashes out from the dust cloud and straight towards Motoyasu, he tries to block the incoming attack until the Uchiha's fist bypass the defence and hit him squarely at the face making crash to the floor. "Imagine my surprise when you couldn't block it, I was at least expecting that you narrowly dodge it, and I believe that it is in your best interest to yield."

"Never!" Motoyasu defiantly shouted.

"Fine by me," Madara is ready to attack until he saw that bitch of a princess malty is about to cast a spell on his, thanks to his Dojutsu he easily avoids the attack, turning to face that bitch with a glare. He dodges an attack and grabs Motoyasu's right forearm. "Since one of the Spear Hero's companions attacked me he should be disqualified."

The audience remain silent not wanting to speak up against an obvious display of cheating; the three demi-humans complain loudly but are ignored. The king speaks. "You are speaking nonsense; do not throw false accusations around like that."

Madara is going to make him regret that. "If you are not going to punish cheaters then I will." With that he is tightening his grip on Motoyasu's forearm.

"He-hey, are what are you – AaaArGH!" The sounds of a breaking bones echoes through the arena. When Madara let go, both the ulna and radius bones broken Motoyasu's hand is just hanging down uselessly. "MY ARM… MY ARM!" Consumed by anger his left hand grabs his Spear and tries to strike but Madara avoids the attack and hit him on the back shoulder resulting in dislocation. "AAARRGH!"

"Now that his arms are useless and he can't use the Legendary Spear properly that should count being pinned." He looks up on the balcony where the king is who is conflicted in giving him victory, his silence mean he wants to see the Spear Hero suffer further injuries. "If you want to see this runt suffers then fine." He kicks Motoyasu to the ground and approaches him.

"W-Wait – no – please…" He is pretty helpless when Madara stomps on his shin, breaking it into two making him scream in agony.

"Now, are you going to surrender?"

"No – I have to – free those girls."

"Then be ready for a world of pain." Madara rips off the armour so Motoyasu will be more fragile, then he proceeds to beat him up within the inch of his life.

The audience gasp in shock and horror at the brutality they're seeing.

"Please stop!"

"Shield Hero, you've gone too far!"

"Have mercy!"

"Damn, is Madara really this strong?" Itsuki said.

"You should have taken a look at his status; his natural stats are insanely high." Ren stated.

"Just where did he get that kind of boost?"

"It is possible that he's already like that when he came to this game."

The Advisor to the Royal Family implores the king to declare the clear winner. "My king, if this goes any further the Spear Hero might die! You must announce the Shield Hero the victor." As much as the king hates it he have no choice, he nods, closes his eyes and looks away in defeat.

"Wait, you can't be serious?" Malty whined, though she was hoping that Motoyasu could somehow turn this around, this is just wishful thinking.

"Shield Hero, please stop." The elderly Advisor shouted gaining Madara's attention. "It is clear that the Spear Hero is incapacitated from injuries, victory belongs to you."

Madara just smiles. "Good, and here I thought I have kill this fool to make me the winner." He drops his fellow Hero on the floor and to be tend of by multiple medics and healers, then goes to his companions as the audience gave him a simple clap.

"That's very impressive; you didn't even need to use and magic or jutsus." Raphtalia commented, there are times she thought that Motoyasu got him, but she didn't see just how powerful Madara is.

"Of course, he is after all the Shield Hero." Rifana boasted having great confidence in the Legendary Uchiha's abilities.

"With Lord Madara at our side fighting the Waves will be a breeze." Keel witnessed the Uchiha during the Second Wave how he almost singlehandedly kill many of the monsters. She believes that the Shield Hero is enough to stop the Waves of Calamity.
