Rachel Miller grunted as she pulled back against the chains locked around her wrists. A part of her knew that this wasn't going to work, but her defiant mind was still determined to get free from the cell she was in. She gritted her teeth and pulled back against the chains but nothing happened and she fell to the floor as two blue uniformed soldiers walked up to her cell. As soon as she saw them, she stood and stared at them.
"LET ME GO YOU FUCKTARDS!" she yelled.
"Shut it," one of them said as he slammed the cage door with a baton.
the shock of the loud noise forced her back and the other slid a bowl of gruel into her cell before the two walked off. She quickly got to her feet as got as close to the cell door as she could.
"HEY ASSHOLES, GET BACK HERE!" she yelled but the guards just continued walking away.
Watching though the cameras at the screen with a smile on his face Sherudo Guro smiled as he watched the blonde teen struggle against her chains. As she fell back, he couldn't help but laugh at the sight.
"What a fool!" he yelled out with a smile.
"Easy Guro," a clam voice said.
Sherudo turned to face a man in a black suit. A patch for System industries was on his right breast and arm. A set of round glasses sat on his nose, but one of his eyes was blurred and the surrounding red due to an old childhood injury. Like Guro he stood with an air of authority, but had more of a calm demeanour about him.
"We cannot get complacent," he continued. "We may have miss Miller, but that does not mean that the governor will give us what we want. Especially when the UNSC comes after us. We need to end this soon before they do,"
"Relax Ernesto," Guro smiled. "We have your security forces and the fine soldiers from Wild Dog. We have little to worry about,"
Ernesto sighed and looked to the screen. "If only I shared your optimism,"
OOOOO Ship: CLASSIFED. ONI Section 3
Six stood beside four other Spartan trainees, Rich, Bax, Kei and Reian, at attention waiting for their officer to arrive. Their training hadn't finished yet, but they were selected out of the Spartan-III program for their speed and aggressiveness. And to see how the spartan recruits were doing. They had already been though the augmentation procedure, and now waited for their graduation and armour.
The five fidgeted slightly as they waited for their commanding officer to arrive. Pre-mission nerves always got to the best and most disciplined of soldiers. The waiting was sometimes worse than the mission. But they didn't have to wait too long as an officer walked out in front of them. After both parties saluted, the officer started the briefing.
"You will be sent to a space station to conduct a rescue mission," the board behind him activated and four faces appeared, three male one female. "The target is this teenager, Rachel Miller, the daughter of the current governor of Sercia. She has been captured by these men," the image then switched to the three men. "The first is Sherudo Guro, the pervious Governor of Sercia. He attempted to establish a monarchy on the planet, until ONI stopped him. Since then, he has enlisted the help of Ernesto Riker and a man known only as Wild Dog. Ernesto is the CEO of System industries, a sector wide industrial manufacturing company. Wild Dog, well, we believe he's in charge of the Wild Dogs PMC. They are highly skilled and trained,"
"How highly trained sir?" Rich asked.
"Former UNSC and criminal soldiers," the officer said. "It seems that they have been disciplined and broken. Do not underestimate them,"
"Yes sir!" the five said.
OOOOO
Captain Alek Fisher sighed as he took the cigar out of his mouth, spat then continued to read his adult magazine. A smile crept on his face as he read as two, and more, women, were in states of undress licking, sucking and fucking each other. His heat beat faster as he turned the page looking at more and more of the women of questionable repute. He never noticed the five specs heading towards him.
The specs grew larger and larger until they smashed through the window causing everything to be sucked out into the vacuum of space. The five soldiers activated their mag boots preventing them from being sucked out as the vacuum seal sealed behind them. Once it was sealed, the five deactivated their boots and looked to one another.
The five Spartan trainees lacked power armour, but used something similar to ODST armour. It lacked the shields and high-tech protection of Mjolnir armour, but added stealth and speed. Something they needed for this mission.
"Let's go," Rich said and the five moved though the door in front of them and down the following corridor.
Six looked down to her pistol, making sure that there was a round in the chamber ready to take out any of the merc she would face. They reached the room at the end of the corridor and began to fire at the blue uniformed troopers in front of them. The Spartans split up grabbing cover and picking out their shots from their pistols. While the merc were well trained, and had better quality equipment, it seemed that they couldn't stand up to five Spartan trainees.
In 30 seconds, 20 guards fell down dead, a third of the people inside the room. It didn't take much longer for the Spartans to take the rest out. With the area clear the five split up into two groups, Bax teamed up with Six while Rich, Kei and Reian teamed up. With them split into two groups, they split up and headed in different directions.
They didn't know where Rachel was, but there were two areas' where she might be.
OOOOO
Wild Dog entered the command room as Sherudo looked at the minitors with the CEO.
"What's going on?" he asked. "This shouldn't be happening!"
"We've been invaded," Wild Dog said earning a look from the two masterminds. "Never mind, my men will gun them down like the flies they are," with that he turned and walked out.
Sherudo growled as he turned to the mic and hit it. "KILL THEM ALL FOR THE GLORY OF THE SHERUDO EMPIRE!" he declared earning an amused look from Ernesto.
OOOOO
Six and Bax leaned up against a wall taking a breather. They had been running and gunning for the past half hour and they were already beat. While they maybe Spartans, they were still getting used to their augments and the soldiers here weren't any pushovers either. It was as if they were fighting ODST veterans. Not to mention they didn't care about their own casualties; it was as if they had no mind of their own or just incredibly focused.
"You good?" Bax asked as he took a few more deep breaths.
"I'm good," Six said as she stood and checked her pistol. "Let's move,"
Bax nodded and the two moved though the door. To their surprise, they entered a hydroponics bay. While they weren't unusual, it was odd to see as agricultural planets were most of the food was being produced. Which meant that this place was probably a backup oxygen plant, while the food part was a beneficial side effect. The two scanned the area not noticing any kind of enemies and slowly moved down one of the aisles of plants. Some they recognised, but others they didn't.
As they made it about halfway a platform activated in the middle of the room. 10 people stood on it with one of them being recognisable as Wild Dog. He didn't have any armour, but the black leather trench coat could be hiding all kinds of weapons underneath. The other 9 people around him were also concerning. They all wore similar outfits to what they wore, but they also had very large gauntlets with blades extended. They had a claw like look, likely to do some major damage.
"Pesky little flies, kill them," Dog ordered.
The 9 assassins jumped and vanished as the platform sank into the ground. The two Spartans fired at Dog, but he moved to the side before they were attacked by the assassins. Two of them landed close to the Spartans cutting open the floor where they were standing. The missed the teens, who moved out of the way quickly and fired several rounds at them. But they also missed. As the assassins disappeared again, Bax and Six moved back-to-back looking around them.
Their eyes scanning the upper levels and the floor around them. Whoever these guys were, they were good at stealth. They were almost like shadows. Even with their enhanced vision, they couldn't see anything. Which probably meant something else was going on. All of a sudden one of the assassins appeared before Six. The Spartan reacted quick and fired several rounds at the enemy soldier. That cut him off as he fell back holding onto his wound. He looked up before vanishing before her eyes.
"Cloaks," she said. "Infrared,"
"Roger," Bax replied as the two switched to infrared vision on their helmets.
Six smiled as the assassins glowed. She quickly took aim and fired taking out two of them while Bax took out three with some well-placed shots. The assassins moved out of the firing line.
"Split," Bax said and the two separated moving in opposite directions and moving into the jungle of the plants.
Bax dived out of the was as two of the assassins charged at him. He rolled before stopping and fired. One fell, the other jumped away but wounded. 6 down, 3 to go. He stood and looked around, keeping an eye out for anything. But he never saw the one behind him. Three blades appeared in his chest and blood dropped onto the floor. He gasped and looked down at the blades before the blades withdrew and he fell down dead.
The assassin then looked up to see Six take out another one of his brothers. His eyes narrowed, before he advanced onto the Spartan.
Six moved out of the way as one of the assassins tried slashing at her. The assassin managed to scratch the floor before she kicked him in the head. He staggered before she unloaded a full magazine into him. He fell down dead and she looked around, weapon up keeping an eye open for the final assassin. She knew he was here somewhere, but where? Something nagged at her that the air around her was wrong. She moved out of the way as the final assassin slashed at one of the pots.
As she recovered, she fired her pistol at him but all of them missed as he vanished. But nothing showed up on the infrared. Cursing, she deactivated the vision mode and used visor's HUD and her own eyesight. He clearly had something more advanced, more alien. Her eyes widened as she removed her helmet and looked around. Covenant tech was more advanced then the UNSC, but it did have its limits.
She scanned the area, keeping her eyes open for the tell-tale signs of Covenant cloaks. It didn't take long for her to spot it and fired. Three rounds hit, but didn't take the assassin down. Instead, he charged at her forcing her to unload all of her magazine into him before he dropped. After a quick reload, she walked up to him and turned him over. Still breathing. Getting down to one knee she pulled off his faceplate to see a tanned skinned man with a penal tribal tattoo on his face.
"Where is Rachel?" she asked grabbing him by the collar.
The man spat some blood at her which earned him a punch to the gut which caused him to sputter even more.
"Hanger 17," he said. "But you are too late, she's must be head by now,"
Six shot him in the head before downloading the map to her HUD.
"Got it," she muttered before hitting her radio. "Rich, Kei and Reian, objective is at hanger 17, Bax is down,"
"Understood, meet you there," Rich said.
Six stood and made her way though one of the doors to her objective.
