Harry had two suppress a laugh at the look of confusion and wonder on Daphne's face. Everything had gone fair easy. Getting her a trunk to hold her clothes had been the quickest. Taking Daphne shopping in muggle London had taken significantly longer but wasn't too difficult. Harry did have to drag her out of a few stores. Surprisingly she didn't have too many questions, and the few she did have he answered easily. But now it was like she was a small child on Christmas morning. Apparently, airplanes were a pretty big deal to Daphne, and she looked like she was about to burst at the seams with questions. Harry couldn't help but poke the proverbial bear a little more.

"You think they're interesting now, just wait till we board one and it takes off."

"What?! You mean we're getting on one of those things?" she asked equal parts excited and apprehensive.

"Yup, we gotta wait till they call our gate for boarding, shouldn't be too much longer actually."

*Gate 3A now boarding, Gate 3A now boarding*

Double checking his ticket Harry smiled. "Come on that's us."

"It's a lot bigger than I thought it was." Daphne commented absentmindedly as she looked up and down the plane.

Harry snickered to himself before muttering "That's what she said."

"What was that?"

"Nothing, you should settle in. It'll be a bit before we actually take off."

-roughly 25 minutes later-

*gasp* "We're moving." Daphne said

"Hm? Oh, we must be taking off finally. You know I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but you should settle in we have a long flight ahead of us."

"How long?"

"Roughly 15 hours give or take."

Getting comfortable in their seats Harry settled in for a decent nap while Daphne looked out the window in wonder as the plane took off. After about 15 minutes Daphne noted she wouldn't be able to see much out of the window due to clouds and how high up they were. Realizing she had nothing else to pass the time she figured she'd follow in potter's footsteps and get some sleep.

-40 minutes before landing-

Harry woke up and with bleary eyes checked his watch only to find he couldn't move his arm. Looking to his right he noticed the mop of silver hair on his shoulder. It took him a few seconds to recognize the blob of hair belonging to Daphne. He saw how she had grabbed his arm like he was some sort of teddy bear and how she drooled slightly on his shoulder. With a quiet sigh in resignation, he leaned his head back and simply waited for her to wake up.

Despite not wanting to wake her up the plane had landed, and they needed to get going.

"Daphne wake up. We're here, let's go."

"Mmm, five...more.."

"Don't make me drag you."

Daphne merely burrowed further into the seat consequently taking his arm with her. Suppressing a groan Harry finagled his arm from her grasp and by some stroke of luck he managed to pick her up and carried her off the plane. He absently noted how light she was in his arms. Shaking his head clear of any errant thoughts he focused on getting to the hotel he asked Goldaxe to book in advance. Despite it being a 15-hour flight and leaving at roughly 10am it was just past 1pm. Harry wanted nothing more than to check in too the hotel and let his body adjust to the new time zone. It took him 30 minutes, but Harry finally got them to their hotel room. Setting her on one bed he went and took a quick shower before claiming to other bed for himself.

A few hours later Daphne woke up and noticed potter sleeping on the other bed. Wondering where they were she decided to wake him up.

Giving his shoulder a bit of a rough shove, "Potter wake up-"

Moving faster than she could blink Harry snapped his eyes open and had his wand digging into her throat. Blinking the sleep away from his eyes he remembered where he was and just who was with him.

"Don't ever do that again. I can't promise your safety if you do." he blandly told her running his hand down his face.

Swallowing the lump in her throat Daphne pressed forward.

"Where are we potter?"

"I have a name you know. If you're going to be tagging along you should start using it."

Daphne merely turned her head and stuck her nose up as if using his given name was beneath her. With a sigh Harry answered her.

"Welcome to Hawaii, more specifically the island of Oahu."

"And where is that?"

"Are you- Nevermind, It's in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It's a part of the American states. Supposedly it's pretty popular for vacations and what not."

"Oh, ok then."

"If that's all I'll be going back to my nap now. I'll set an alarm and we can go get something to eat. But we best relax now and let our bodies get used to the time change." and with that Harry plopped down on his bed and fell back asleep.

Daphne merely looked out the window gazing at the ocean view wondering just what kind of things would happen on her spontaneous trip with potter. She also wondered what people would think back at Hogwarts. Did they notice they were missing yet. They had barely been gone 24 hours. What would Tracy think about her running off with potter. What would her parents think. What would Astoria think. Daphne had absolutely no clue. All she knew was that potter seemed to not have a care in the world about anything like that.
