"Ah Director Bones, to what do I our the pleasure?" Tora called

"We simply had a few questions in regards to the missing persons report Hogwarts has filed for your daughter." Kingsley answered

"Very well, ask away." Tora gestured with her hand for them to start

"Ok to start, were you aware Hogwarts had reported your daughter missing?" Amelia asked enchanted quill and notepad taking notes behind her

"Yes, I was informed two days after the first task that my daughter had not been seen. I went down there myself to talk to the staff about it."

"And at no point did you think to file a report yourself with the Aurors?" Kingsley asked

"Honestly no. Dumbledore had already informed me of everything I needed to know, my talks with the rest of the school merely confirmed the headmaster's words. With that I figured he would alert the proper authorities and have it handled through the school."

Amelia and Kingsley shared another look. There was nothing wrong with what Mrs. Greengrass was saying, even though her lack of worry was a bit unnerving. You would think she would be more worried about her missing daughter.

"I take it you were only recently informed of this Director?" Tora asked

"This morning actually."

"Mm yes well I hate to make this trip for nothing but you need not worry about my daughter. She's perfectly safe." Tora informed them

"What do you mean by that ma'am?" Kingsley asked

"I mean that my daughter is safe. She is upstairs right this moment. I found her not even a day ago at Gringotts making a withdrawal."

"Your daughter is here?" Kingsley comfirmed

"Yes."

"Did she happen to be with Harry Potter?" Amelia asked

"Indeed she was, why is that relevant?"

"Mr. Potter has also been reported missing by Hogwarts." Kingsley supplied

"Well you should be glad to know that he too is here. I offered him a room for a couple nights." Tora told them

"We'll need to speak with both children immediately. You all will need to come back to the Ministry for admittedly light interrogation. We simply need to piece the story together." Amelia said a sense of urgency filling her body

"Very well if you'll follow me to inside." Tora said turn away and following the path out of the garden

-couple minutes earlier

In the middle of breakfast Harry just watched an elf named Granite pop in to tell Daphne's mom something. Who then immediately popped away herself. His curiosity piqued Harry speaks up.

"Granite was it?" The elf nodded

"Where'd she go?" He asked

"Mistress be in the garden." Granite answered pointing to the window

Harry walked over to the window to find Mrs. Greengrass talking to two people in fancy uniforms that he'd never seen before. He turned back to Granite.

"Who are the people in uniform?"

"Marble be saying they saying they is Director Boney and Captain Shakeybolts." Granite said

"Who are they?" Harry said confused at the elf's odd names

"Marble be Granite's sibling, Director Boney be the number one Auror, Shakeybolts be Captain Auror."

"Shit." Harry cursed before taking off to his room

Granite was slightly confused but wasn't really concerned. The Greengrass elves had seen much weirder things among these halls. Just then Tora walked in the room with Amelia and Kingsley in tow.

Seeing Granite Tora asked where the children where.

"Mistress Daphne and Mistress Astoria be in theys rooms. Mr. Potter just left to his room." Granite said

"Could you fetch Daphne and Harry. Amelia here wants a word with them." Tora asked

A couple minutes passed before Daphne entered the room. She was surprised and confused as the Aurors present. Granite came back a minute later.

"Harry Potter not be in the house Mistress." Granite informed them

"What! What do you mean he's not in the house!?" Amelia shouted

"It be just likes I said. Harry Potter not be inside the house. Granite not be knowing where he is."

"Damn, let's go Kingsley we need to get back to the office." Amelia said

"What about the girl?" Kingsley asked

"She back with family, so as far as the law is concerned until they ask to press charges for anything it's a family matter. Do you want to press charges for anything?" She asked looking at the Greengrass women

Mother and daughter shared a look.

"No Director at this time your services aren't needed." Tora said

"Very well, may we borrow your floo to head back to the Ministry?"

"Of course, Granite show them the way." Tora replied

Less than a minute later the floo flared signaling the Directors departure. Tora checked the wards confirming that they had left. Dapne took a seat at the table utterly confused at what happened. First she was summoned by her father's elf to find her mother and the Director of the DMLE and an Auror Captain. Then her father's elf returned and said Harry had left.

She didn't know why but she was somewhat morose that he had left. He didn't even say goodbye or anything. Before she could put words to these new feelings something drew her attention.

-TGE-

Tracey was sitting at an empty slytherin table for breakfast. She always was an early riser. Pushing her breakfast around on her plate she couldn't help but worry about Daphne. Her best friend was still missing.

Just then a fancy looking eagle owl landed in front of her. It took her a moment to recognize it as Daphne's family owl Achilles. Seeing the letter it dropped for her she picked it up. Immediately she recognized Daphne's handwriting.

Tearing open the letter, tears began forming at the corner of her eyes.

Hey Tracey,

To ease your worry I'm at home with Astoria. I've had some blood pops since I last saw you. They were gross but it's ok because I found some sugar quills after. There's more I need to tell you but mother wishes to speak to me. I'm hoping you can come over after Yule so I can explain then.

Love Daph

By now Tracey was openly weeping. A weight lifted off her shoulders. While slytherin house was bad at times it wasn't nearly as nad as most thought. That didn't mean there weren't thing and people that you needed to be wary of. But right now none of that mattered. Daphne was ok and at home.

When she calm down she reread the letter. Here she noticed the hidden message Daphne had sent her. It was only the mention of sugar quills that calmed her heart again.
