Chapter 1: The life of Inazuma

Cloud was now outside the palace, holding both his Travel Pass and Anemo Vision. The gem mysteriously grew its bronze ribbon, much to his surprise. He still had no idea how to use it.

'This world seems to have many things that make adventuring interesting. Maybe I'll find out more about Inazuma.' He thought.

He soon procured his map. He wanted to explore more of the region. Cloud soon noticed the sun was fully set after talking with Raiden.

'The discussion was no doubt vital for her. It seems this land may need to have some checkups here and there.' He thought.

######

Cloud soon arrived at a small town. It was at the base of Raiden Shogun's palace. He found it quite welcoming, despite the time being at nightfall.

'I'm lucky enough to procure some Mora from those samurai. It still brings an unpleasant feeling to kill human beings instead of monsters.' He thought.

He soon stumbled upon a sign. This now got his bearings of the land he's in.

'Inazuma City. The Shogun has a perfect view of the city from where she resides. Probably more so, due to the elevated grounds.' Cloud thought.

Though the time was nightfall, the city was bustling with business everywhere. It was a comfortable sight for Cloud.

'Despite the circumstances, this place does seem lively. I wonder what the occasion is.' He thought curiously.

Though he wanted to find out, a yawn got to him, showing he was exhausted for the day. He decided to look for an inn to rest for the night. By chance, he managed to encounter one.

'Inazuma Inn. The place where one can rest your soul from a weary travel.' Cloud read from the sign.

Keeping mindful of the amount of Mora he had left, Cloud checked the price and was surprised to see it.

'Two hundred Mora for a one night stand? That sounds pretty convenient. I still have a couple of hundred Mora left so I should be prepared for a meal when I wake up.' He thought.

Heading to the desk, the owner, a female wearing a blue old style kimono, was present.

"Welcome to Inazuma Inn. How can I help you?" The woman asked.

"I would like a room to sleep in please." Cloud requested.

"That will be two hundred Mora." The woman responded.

Cloud gave the Mora to the lady. He was provided a small room to sleep in. Placing his sword next to the bed, he took off his armor and went to sleep.

Cloud was having a strange dream. He was tossing and turning in his sleep. In it, he saw a male figure within his sight. The figure was wearing all black clothing with a silver pauldron on both of the shoulders. The figure's hair was below waist length, with two long bangs parting his face and was silver in color. His head was shrouded in the dark, hiding his facial features.

'You…!' Cloud recognized.

"We meet again. It has been a year since our last encounter." The figure spoke.

'What reason have you come to haunt me?' Cloud demanded.

"It's quite simple. You're now in a new world, far from Gaia's presence. This new world is brimming with energy unlike any I've felt. It shall be a glorious uprising for me and mother." The figure spoke.

'Even now, you're facilitating your comeback after the events of Meteorfall…' Cloud realized.

"I've hated how you carry such strength, but I admire your resolve in doing so. For that reason, grow strong so we can settle our score." The figure spoke.

The male figure soon produced a seven foot long sword in the shape of a katana. He soon made two slices in the air, creating a rift. It created a strong wind current that almost knocked Cloud from his balance. Before going through it, the figure looked back.

"We will meet again, Cloud." The figure said.

Cloud struggled to see or go near the figure. Before going through the rift, he saw the figure's eyes for a brief moment. They were turquoise and appeared slit like a cat's eyes.

'It can't be… He was supposed to be dead…!' Cloud thought with shock.

######

Cloud broke up with a sweat from the dream he had. The shock woke him from his sleep, causing him to briefly scream before panting. He placed his left hand on his head, trying to calm down from the trauma.

'Was that even real? It couldn't be… Sephiroth perished when I descended into Gaia's core to finish him.' Cloud thought.

Noticing his disheveled appearance, Cloud soon went to the bathroom to wash himself. The water helped soothe his mind, but he was still shaken from the experience. He did find it surprising to notice that the technology for showers somehow still exists.

'I may have to understand more about this new world I'm in. It's unlike Gaia in most ways.' Cloud thought.

Having taken his shower, Cloud decided to head outside for breakfast.

######

With his equipment now in place, Cloud ventured around Inazuma town to find a place to get breakfast. He had the map of the region provided, but it required him to look around the city. He noticed a strange monument that looked a small jeweled pillar. The pillar had a red, glowing section at the top and bottom. Cloud, out of cautious curiosity, touched the pillar. It soon turned from red to blue. The pillar began to levitate in the air.

'What is this pillar? It somehow feels different, but it also feel as though I can reach it from a distance.' Cloud thought.

Perplexed, he wanted to find out how the pillar worked. His hunger however, provided a different response. He decided to focus on getting a meal before doing anything else.

Walking through the town, Cloud soon noticed a small restaurant nearby. He saw the sign that provided information about the place.

'Shimura's restaurant. Day 1: the drinks are good. Day 2: the drinks are good… Somehow, I think whoever made this advertisement must have been a connoisseur for alcohol.' Cloud mused.

The owner of the restaurant soon noticed Cloud's presence and welcomed him.

"Ah, a fellow traveler. How may I help you?" The owner asked.

The owner was a middle aged man whom showed signs of aging due to his hair turning gray. Despite this, he maintains an energetic outlook with life. He was wearing a brick red vest with a sakura pink shirt, brown pants and black sandals.

"Good morning. I would like to look at the menu." Cloud requested.

"Certainly. Please have a look." The owner responded.

The menu was provided to Cloud. He recognized the cuisines, knowing them from his adventures in Wutai. He decided to have onigiri.

"I'll have two onigiri please." Cloud requested.

"I'll have them prepared. Please wait a couple of minutes." The owner said.

Cloud sat with patience as he looked around the city. Sakura petals were seen fluttering in the air. The people were often talking about their lifestyles. Some looked prosperous while others seemed downhearted.

'The town does seem rather depressed. I wonder what the cause is.' Cloud thought.

Soon, he overheard a group of people talking of a topic of interest. Perking his ears, he listened silently.

"The lifestyle here has been quite harsh, ever since the Sakoku Decree was enforced." Male citizen #1 commented.

"Indeed… We had to rely on trading with the other nations as a means of income. Since Inazuma was cut off, getting any form of income, even being a soldier has proven to be difficult." Citizen #2 said.

"Coupled with the fact that crime is on the rise within the wilderness, it's proving to be quite harsh for anyone living here in Narukami. Inazuma should have been prosperous back then before the Tri-Commission enforced these restrictions." Citizen #1 explained.

"It all started when these people from Snezhnaya arrived. They called themselves the Fatui. When they came to negotiate with the Raiden Shogun, that's when things began to change for the worst. In fact, this resulted in Inazuma being cut off from the rest of Teyvat due to a thunderstorm preventing almost any ship from leaving the region. Even if the ships do survive crossing past the storm, trading has proven difficult." Citizen #2 replied.

"Not even Vision bearers are safe. Something must be done to abolish these decrees." Citizen #1 followed.

"The Vision Hunt Decree… I don't think it was enforced by the Raiden Shogun herself. It has to do with those Fatui people… I believe they were the ones who instigated the beliefs of xenophobia and isolation." Citizen #2 said.

Cloud heard the details in perfect clarity, having heard the two citizens talking loud enough. Hearing about the Tri-commission's enforcement of separation, Vision hunting, and the current events of Inazuma made him frown.

'So… It all started due to these people called the Fatui. They are responsible for causing the problems within Inazuma. I have to find any means of alleviating the problems at hand.' He thought.

The owner soon came with a plate of freshly made rice balls. He announced of them being ready.

"Sorry for the wait. Enjoy your meal." The owner said.

Cloud ate the rice balls in a calm manner. He was still frowning from what he heard earlier. Though the taste of his meal was savory, it did little to hide the bitter taste of realization of the land around him. He ate his meal calmly, though he had a hidden frown in his mind.

'Blocking off trading is one thing, but hunting down Vision users is another. Plus, the problems added with the increased number of crimes from beyond make this place dangerous to live. Maybe I can try to help in some way alleviate the issues. But I don't know where to start…' Cloud thought.

(Streets of Elegance OST ends here)

Having finished his meal, he paid the owner and left the town. He decided to head north.

######

At the northern part of Inazuma City, Cloud soon noticed a sign advertising of a commission he didn't recognize. He began reading it to get more information.

'Do you feel to request an aid or help out a fellow citizen? Come to the Kamisato Estate and speak with the Yashiro Commission. We are willing to help out.' Cloud read from the sign.

This became useful to Cloud. From there, he could gather more information and procure income to purchase goods. Seeing that he had much to do, the swordsman decided to visit the Yashiro Commission. Taking a look at his map, Cloud realized he needed to head northeast to visit the estate.

'Hmmmm… I'll have to cut through north of the Byakko fields to reach Konda Village. From there, I need to go east across Chinju Forest before going north again to reach the estate. This won't be an easy travel.' Cloud thought in preparation.

Determined to reach the estate, Cloud ventured north. He didn't want to waste any time.

######

Cloud reached the Byakko Fields. It was a large plain of green grass. Several trees of maple, malus with growing fruits, and sakura were shown. Some of the trees had an ethereal glow, making it look as though electricity was flowing within. The swordsman noticed a cluster of sakura petals floating near him. He soon interacted with the cluster, only for it to billow in the air. Cloud could feel a faint electric current in the air, but it was barely felt.

'These petals feel like static electricity… I wonder what would happen if a jolt of electricity would do to them…' He thought curiously.

Unable to interact with it, Cloud set the thought aside and ventured forward.

'It would be easier if I had my Materia, but I don't. Ever since the law in Gaia to prevent usage of the Lifestream came into effect, the Materia served no purpose other than causing untold damage.' Cloud thought.

Unable to find out more of the natural phenomenon in this new world, he looked at the Vision that was granted to him. The Anemo symbol surged with power, glowing in a mint green color before fading into its turquoise, dormant state.

'This gem seems to respond to my will. Maybe if I get myself in a battle I could find a way to channel it.' He thought.

######

The sun was at its zenith, indicating it was noon. Cloud managed to arrive at Konda Village. It was a calm village with several water wheels and artificial tributaries to transport water and fish for the villagers. The air smelled calm and clean, something that Cloud took notice of the land.

'This place feels as though one has been with nature itself… It's quite calming, a complete difference compared to the world of Gaia.' He thought.

Looking at his map, Cloud had to head east to reach the Chinju Forest. Closer inspection revealed the Forest was not far from the village. He could practically see the forest from a distance near the base of a nearby mountain.

'That's the Chinju Forest. Right near those mountains. From there, I should be able to find the Kamisato Estate.' Cloud thought.

He soon noticed an elder villager groaning in pain. The elder was a male farmer, holding a farming hoe for support due to his back giving away.

"Are you okay?" Cloud asked the farmer.

"Oh, excuse me of my current circumstances. My back started to ache due to my old age." The elder replied.

"Looks like you need some help to manage with the pain. Perhaps I could help out a little?" Cloud asked.

"I'm willing to request an open hand, since much of the younger adults have left Konda to sign themselves up with the Tri-commission. Some were forcefully drafted by the Raiden Shogun herself." The elder explained.

"Are they expecting a war to break out?" Cloud reluctantly questioned.

"I hope not, but judging by the number of young male adults being drafted, it seems likely." The elder man responded.

"I hope not either. This land just feels too welcoming and gifted with nature for a war to break out." Cloud spoke with a solemn tone.

The elder man looked at Cloud, realizing from his tone it sounded he was recounting past memories. Curious. He decided to ask the swordsman.

"You've seen battles before, haven't you, young man?" He asked.

"More so to question my purpose in life." Cloud responded.

"You sound like any soldier. I won't pry too much, but don't let any form of doubt stop you. For someone as young as you, even if you're not from Inazuma, there's much to see. I've lived my life and have seen plenty." The elder man said.

Cloud felt a strange sense of sympathy from the man's words. It felt…enlightening, as though a weight was slowly becoming lighter.

"Perhaps your words are indeed the strength I've held on to. Thank you, elder." Cloud said.

"Oh, where are my manners? I'm Imatami Saburou." The elder named Saburou spoke.

"I'm Cloud Strife. If I recall your customs, Strife is my surname." Cloud introduced.

"Ah, a foreigner. It's been a long time since this village had a recent encounter." Saburou spoke.

"It has to do with the Sakoku Decree from the Tri-commission, correct?" Cloud deduced.

"Yes. Because of that, Inazuma has become isolated. All the people around the nation have talked about it openly." Saburou confirmed.

"Either way, let me help with tilling the soil. I don't have any form of treatment to help with your current problem, though I wish I do." Cloud said.

"Do not worry, Strife-san. I'm already an elder now. My life is already complete and I've done what I can." Saburou reassured.

Cloud felt a pang of guilt arise in his mind. He wanted to help the elder in any way, but there was nothing to be done. The feeling soon manifested on his Vision, causing the wind to form around him.

"What the…!?" Cloud said in surprise.

Saburou looked surprised to see the elemental power in front of him.

"You're a Vision bearer?" He asked in surprise.

"It was about a day ago that I received this Vision. From what I can understand, the power bestowed to me was Anemo, or the wind." Cloud explained.

Soon, Cloud's Vision began to glow brightly. A soft breeze was soon emanating from him. The wind went to the old man and encompassed his body. The breeze didn't feel discomforting. Rather, it felt akin to a blanket wrapping around him. Soon, his back pain began to recede. He even felt energetic to continue his farm work.

"By the Archons… My back pain is healed… I feel so light and full of energy!" Saburou spoke with surprise.

Cloud was equally surprised. Having no idea how to channel his new abilities, it left him surprise on what happened.

'The wind just made Imatami-san's condition heal up… Is this…my power of the wind?' Cloud thought in question.

The breeze continued to move around the area. Cloud recognized the feeling, making him recall a nostalgic sensation.

'This wind… It reminds me of Aerith when she uses her Healing Wind. Is this how it happens when she used it…?' He questioned.

Cloud now felt curious of the Anemo power that is bestowed to him. For Saburou, he felt as though he can tackle his problems head on due to no longer being limited by his bones aching. Despite his surprise, Cloud soon helped tilling the field for Saburou.

######

Surprisingly, the tilling of the land took about 45 minutes. The sun was still shining bright in the afternoon. Cloud and Saburou were now resting after the hard work they've done.

"Thank the Archons from your gift, Strife-san. I never felt like this in a long time." Saburou said.

"I've just come to understand this power that was gifted to me. The ability to heal with the wind was something that I never expected, but have experienced before." Cloud replied in an honest tone.

"Still, it helped relieve my body from the pain. I don't want to strain myself so I'll take it easy. Thanks for your help, Strife-san." Saburou said in gratitude.

"It's no problem. Be sure to take care of yourself, Imatami-san. I have a place to go to that may have the answers I seek." Cloud spoke.

Both men soon parted in their respective business. Saburou was surprised that Cloud pointed towards the Chinju Forest, realizing he was heading to the Yashiro Commission via the Kamisato clan. Before departing, Saburou warned Cloud of the possible encounter with rōnin or bandits wandering out in the wilderness. The swordsman thanked the elder for his advice and left the village.

######

Through the northeast outskirts of Konda Village, Cloud traversed the fields. Prior to leaving the village, he encountered the same pillar from the city. It reacted and turned blue.

'I'm getting the feeling these pillars do act like a beacon… I'll have to find a way to use them.' He thought.

He noticed three bandits were approaching him as he ventured his way to Chinju Forest. With a calm exhale, he drew his sword out.

"I don't suppose you guys are planning to leave me be." Cloud spoke out loud.

"Like we need to tell you. You'll be dead weight." Bandit #1 answered.

"I wonder whom that title will go to…" Cloud cryptically responded.

"What do you mean by that?" Bandit #2 questioned angrily.

Cloud soon swung his sword, attempting to channel the Anemo power from within him. The cutting distance from his sword was enhanced. Several streams of blood showered the air with the three bandits showing sharp cuts in their abdomens.

"A Vision bearer in Inazuma!? Outside of the Raiden Shogun's sight!?" Bandit #3 questioned in shock.

"You should be worrying more about your lives than worrying about me!" Cloud shouted.

He soon performed a downward vertical strike. The force created a shockwave of wind that turned into a sharp blade. It impacted the first bandit before splitting into two smaller blades. Both hit the second and third bandit.

"What…was that?" Bandit #1 croaked.

"You two are next if you don't flee. I can't guarantee you will both live if you continue this fight." Cloud warned.

The two bandits were forced to use smoke bombs to conceal their escape. Cloud merely stood as the smoke cleared away. He managed to acquire more Mora from the first bandit's corpse.

'I can pity their current predicament, but not for threatening others to survive.' Cloud thought.

While he traveled nonstop to the Chinju Forest, Sayu was napping from an adjacent tree. She heard the fighting, which woke her from sleep, and watched as Cloud dispatched the bandits.

'Wow, he's good with that sword. He can wield a claymore like it was a normal sword. He even used his Anemo powers to fight against them.' Sayu thought.

She noticed Cloud heading to the Chinju Forest. This immediately got her attention, knowing the pathway leading to the Kamisato Estate

'He's heading for the Yashiro Commission. I need to inform the Kamisato clan immediately.' Sayu thought.

Knowing the importance for a meeting, she used a smoke bomb and disappeared from sight.

######

The Chinju Forest was a surreal-like Forest to Cloud. The leaves from some of the trees beetle glowing bright. Some of the leaves even shined. An electric current was in the air, smelling of ozone. Despite the scent, the trees made it look like a place to visit.

'This forest reminds me of the Forgotten City. Even the plants there glowed brightly like this.' Cloud thought in nostalgia.

He shook his head gently to block off the memories of the Forgotten City. It was a guilt inducing memory to him as his face faded in a soft, somber frown.

'I still can't forgive myself for what happened… Aerith… Zack… I couldn't keep the promise you told me to do. It's my fault, regardless if I wasn't in control of myself.' He thought.

The wind felt cool to him, despite the summer air. Cloud was still guilt ridden of events he was recalling that were beyond his abilities that he could have prevented.

'I hope I don't have to see a reminder of the place again…' Cloud thought.

From the corner of his eye, Cloud saw a single black feather fall. Sensing an omen, he looked around and saw a familiar figure floating in the air.

"Feeling tormented by old memories, Cloud?" The man questioned with glee.

"Sephiroth! How are you manifesting yourself like this!?" Cloud questioned in shock.

Sephiroth laughed in response. It was a chilling laugh, despite retaining a calm tone.

"I may have been physically defeated, but I still exist within your mind. I'm a constant stain of which you will never overcome, nor be rid of. It's what my mother desires to find. Now I know of your experience in this world, which is filled with energy unlike any I've felt, I shall come back to settle our duel." Sephiroth explained.

Cloud felt an unrelenting chill crawl up his spine. He swung his sword downward, creating a shockwave that raced to Sephiroth. Upon impact, a torrent of wind was created, but Sephiroth's form was not shown. A flurry of black feathers took his place before he disappeared. Soon, his disembodied voice echoed.

"Keep struggling, Cloud. We will settle each other once I come back. Don't keep me bored after all this." Sephiroth's voice echoed.

Cloud grunted, shaking his head to get the voice out of his mind. Though he had confronted Sephiroth and defeated him during his tenure in Gaia, the memory of the man was enough to make him suffer from PTSD symptoms. In fact, a haunting memory of Sephiroth, shrouded with fire with an evil smirk on his face, often showed itself as a reminder. The swordsman often think of seeing visages of the person in question was a bad omen.

'It never ends… This torment of mine. Why is he still taunting me after confronting him? What is it that he holds on to that keeps Sephiroth as a constant reminder?' Cloud questioned.

With reluctance, he push the questions aside and went through the Chinju Forest. Following the path east, he encountered several raccoon like creatures that were dancing mischievously. They were playing a strange tune. Cloud found them quite mysterious, but he didn't attempt to get close them.

'They look like raccoons, but they bear some similarities to dogs as well. I think I heard from the Watui about this creature. It may be possible, but I think they're called Tanuki. Either way, I have no interest at the moment.' Cloud thought.

Ignoring the dancing tanukis, Cloud ventured east of the forest.

######

Outside the eastern outskirts of Chinju Forest, Cloud could see a large house surrounded by walls. He knew right away what the building was.

'The Kamisato Estate and where the Yashiro Commission is located… I'm surprise the journey didn't take too long. The sun is still at its afternoon hours.' He thought.

Walking to the Estate, Cloud feel he was being watched by the many members. It wasn't just the people he could see, but also sensing others hiding in the background. This made him wary, but he closed that thought off, opting to speak with the commission than starting a fight.

'I may have to ask the members to speak with the representative. I do not know who handles the affairs, but it's a start.' Cloud thought.

Feeling awkward to look around, he relented to ask a member. Before doing so, a familiar pillar was seen outside the Estate. Cloud knew it was important to interact with it. The pillar soon flowed from red to blue, indicating it was activated. Cloud noticed his map of Inazuma soon showed the same pillar from the city glowing bright.

'The map is responding to the layout of the region. Maybe these pillars serve as waypoints?' He thought in question.

Curbing his curiosity, Cloud soon re-entered the Estate. His sight soon caught eye on a male figure. He was wearing a traditional gray kimono with a black hakama (Japanese trousers) and a red haori (Japanese coat worn over a kimono). His hair was black and somewhat spiky though not disheveled. His eyes were a soft brown color and had a pair of glasses. Cloud could tell the male was important.

"Excuse me, sir. I have a couple of questions to ask." He requested.

"I don't think I've seen you before. If you have questions though, I'm willing to answer them for you." The man said.

"First things first, no doubt this is where the Yashiro Commission is, within the Kamisato Estate." Cloud noted.

"Yes. This is where the Yashiro Commission is based at. Every member of the Kamisato Clan contributes in helping out." The man answered.

"I see. By any chance, can any person take a quest from the commission to help out?" Cloud asked.

"Every adventurer who comes here often perform tasks for the people. Each time the task is done, both the clan and commission gain recognition. It's safe to say that the business we do involves helping out the public affairs." The man answered.

"Interesting. So the Yashiro Commission handles the public affairs across Inazuma. It may sound tedious, but it definitely caught my attention." Cloud admitted.

"I see that you're an aspiring adventurer. I am curious as to why you've come here." The man commented.

Cloud began explaining events from his time with the Raiden Shogun and the recent events that played. Needless to say, the man was quite surprised.

"Sir, you have surprised me in many ways. We may serve the Raiden Shogun, but not actively. Plus, we abhor the Vision Hunt Decree, along with the Sakoku Decree. The laws that were suddenly brought to power have caused the lifestyle of Inazuma to be quite harsh. I'm sure Imatami-san has provided the details to you in regards to the current events." The man spoke with surprise.

"It wasn't Imatami-san that provided the basics of the details, though he was quite informative. I overheard from the citizens in Inazuma City on how they were brought into power, what they do, and when they were suddenly enforced." Cloud replied.

"I'm even more surprised that the Shogun took your Vision for a moment. I'm even more so that she gave it back after seeing a foreshadow. I suspect she might find a flaw in the system, which might be hopeful to everyone." The man continued.

"I couldn't agree more. Pardon my manners, but what is your name?" Cloud asked.

"Oh dear. Manners and diligence. How silly of me. I'm Hyakubei Madarame. I act as an advisor for reputation. I am also responsible for overseeing the missions being carried by adventurers to be completed." The man named Madarame introduced.

"I'm Cloud Strife. In Inazuma tradition, Strife is my family name." Cloud followed.

"I can tell you were a foreigner, yet it's always welcoming to see a new adventurer. Welcome to Inazuma and the Yashiro Commission." Madarame replied in a diligent manner.

"Thank you for the welcoming. I would like to take a few quests to help out." Cloud responded.

"Certainly, have a look." Madarame said, presenting a large board with several requests.

Cloud looked selectively at the board. He noticed a request that seemed to fit his preference. There was also another request which involved hunting a particular item. This made him question what it was.

'I might need to ask Madarame about this. I certainly don't know about this so-called Lavender Melon. I can handle the rogue samurai with ease, but finding a fruit that sounds unknown to me might be tricky.' Cloud thought.

After taking two requests, Cloud questioned to Madarame of the item requested.

"Ah, so you want to know about Lavender Melons. These fruits are often grown on certain trees, similar to fruit bearing ones. They look like purple ovals with varying shades from top to bottom, but they have a sweet scent and taste." Madarame explained.

"I'll keep watch. No doubt I'll find them when I'm hunting the rogue samurai." Cloud commented.

"Even better. Luckily, the map you possess will allow you to find the objective site. It'll help in case you feel lost." Madarame said.

Cloud had plenty of other questions to ask, but he had to set them aside for now. He noticed that the requests came from the villagers in Konda, given the fact they've written their meetup locations.

'Since both locations are within the village, I could backtrack to Konda. I did recall seeing a familiar pillar out there. Maybe this map might help.' Cloud thought.

Taking his map out, he soon noticed the same pillar from outside the Kamisato Estate. Cloud went to it to satiate his curiosity. Activating it, he soon noticed a faint sight of Konda Village. It was a transparent visage, but he could make out the details.

'This definitely feels as though I'm interacting with a teleported. I remember that Shinra used to have such technology to transport their forces, but not in long distances. That must mean I can use these devices to get around Inazuma quickly.' Cloud theorized mentally.

######

Upon touching the image of Konda Village, Cloud felt a sense of displacement happen. His current appearance disappeared from the Kamisato Estate. All he could see was a wormhole with a myriad of colors flashing. It felt like a kaleidoscope that was being moved around. He was floating through the seemingly endless space.

'So this is how teleportation works and feels. I don't think with my motion sickness I can handle it.' Cloud comically thought.

The displacement was nausea inducing to Cloud. He was able to choke it down and continue through the wormhole. Flashes of Konda Village soon became apparent.

'I must be getting close… The feeling of displacement is starting to weaken. I can tell I must be near.' He thought.

Soon, a bright flash came, forcing him to close his eyes.

######

Cloud opened his eyes after not feeling the bright flash overcoming his sight. Upon opening, he noticed where he is.

"I'm back in Konda Village… These pillars ARE teleport devices. Better use them wisely if need be." Cloud commented.

Indeed. Cloud returned to Konda Village near the teleport device. His map provided the locations to his objectives. The first he chose was to handle the rogue samurai.

'The person in question should be near here. Better keep an eye out.' Cloud thought.
