Hello everyone, here is the next chapter
I know this is a bit late, but here it is
I hope you enjoy
Read and relax
They had been sailing around for a while, and nothing had happened. They had enjoyed the calmness, but when they saw an enemy ship, they didn't mind the fight that happened. It was a hard one, and after a while, the enemy suddenly retreated. They didn't stop them, and the captain wasn't sure why the enemy retreated so fast. But as the enemy was a bit away, a reason popped into his mind. What if they had taken prisoners? That would make them retreat.
Whitebeard frowned when he looked around, to see if anyone was missing, and he was about to ask Marco to check, when he couldn't find said man. Marco never ventured far away. "Pops!" Whitebeard turned to look at Izou, who came running up to him. "Ace and Marco are missing!" Whitebeard blinked. So that was why the enemy had run so fast, they had taken prisoners. "We need to head after them, and get them back." Izou nodded. "Yeah! We need them back!" They did, they couldn't let them be captured. They had a head start, but they would get them back, and headed towards the boat, going as fast as they could. But as the enemy was heading as fast as they could too, it would take some days to really catch up, but it would go fine. And if they were hurt, no one would be alive on the enemy ship.

Marco gave a sigh, looking at Ace, who had his knees up to his chest, head resting on them. "Ace, yoi. You need to eat."
They had been here for almost 5 days now, and he knew Ace was starting to get really hungry. Ace shook his head, not saying anything. Marco gave a sigh again. "Ace, listen. It's better for you to do it now, to keep accidents from happening, yoi. I will heal instantly." It was, in some way, a bit good it was Marco who was trapped here with Ace, seeing as he would heal instantly while Ace fed, not getting any lasting effects from it. Ace shook his head again, not looking at him. Marco kept a sigh inside himself. "Ace, yoi. We don't know how long we will be here. You need to eat, you need the energy and blood." Ace shook his head. "They will come and find us and get us home."
Marco gave a nod and sigh. "They will, yoi. I know that. But, that won't be until at least 5 days; they are far behind us. I am sure we got a good head start. Just please, Ace. You need it. I know you don't want to, but think over this. It will only get worse if you don't." Ace gave a small sound, averting his eyes and not looking at him, sort of agreeing to his words. Marco knew Ace should feed from him before it went too far and Ace didn't control it.
After a few seconds, he saw Ace giving a small nod, agreeing to his words. Marco gave a small relieved sigh, glad Ace understood this was something he should do. And, Marco trusted Ace wouldn't hurt him purposefully or take too much, not that it would be any issue since he could heal. As Marco was on his way to move his vest away from his neck, to make sure it wasn't in the way, Ace spoke. "I… I only need your hand." Marco gave a small frown, but gave a nod and held his hand out to Ace. Ace carefully took it and stared at it, looking like he didn't want to do this. Marco gave a comforting look and smile. "It's fine, yoi. I trust you." Ace gave a small nod, before closing his eyes and taking a breath, before moving his hand a bit up, wrist towards Ace, making Marco understand what Ace was going to do.
A second later, Ace opened his mouth, fangs coming out, before he bit down into Marco's wrist, Marco giving a small flinch as it stung, not expecting it. He usually didn't feel pain. As Marco felt Ace start to drink his blood from the wrist, Marco was surprised when he couldn't heal. His phoenix powers were not working at all. But, he guessed it was because of Ace being a vampire. They were mysterious and probably annulated the devil fruit power when they ate. It felt weird, feeling the blood being taken away, but it also felt calming, which probably came from Ace. That made it so the prey they had, or the person they ate from, wasn't scared or in pain.
After almost a minute, Ace opened his mouth again and let go, giving a small lick to his wrist. When he let go of his hand, Ace moved a hand to his mouth, looking a bit shocked. Marco quickly grabbed around his wrist, feeling he still didn't have his powers back. But, was shocked when he found only two small marks there, no wound or anything. Marco stared at his wrist. "Why are there no wounds, yoi?" He heard some shifting from Ace. "We heal when we're finished eating, so you don't continue to bleed." Marco gave a nod. That was something he didn't know. It was a good thing. After a few more seconds, he felt his powers slowly come back, starting to carefully fix the fact he had low blood level.
As this happened, he noticed Ace looking at him, and Marco turned to look at Ace, seeing Ace still looking shocked at him, hand over his mouth. "What, yoi?" Maybe Ace hadn't gotten enough. But, shouldn't half a liter be enough for a week? Ace had even taken a bit more than that, so he should be fine. Ace moved his mouth to speak, before closing it again, giving a swallow before he tried again. "You… You taste really good."
Marco blinked. He did? He knew Ace generally thought blood tasted good, but only a few would taste perfect as they called it, or really good, those being the ones that matched their preference. Wasn't Ace's preference immortality? Which still was a weird thing to have a preference for, a rare one too, only being 10 or so in the world. Why would Ace think he tasted good? Then it hit him.
Marco was a mythical zoan; a phoenix. Phoenixes were basically immortal. Marco hadn't aged a day since he ate his fruit, which was over 50 years ago. Was he immortal?
Marco knew he would live long, but not that he was immortal. He looked at Ace. "I am a phoenix, yoi. They are sort of immortal. It might be because of that." Ace gave a nod, still looking shocked, Marco feeling a bit shocked himself, still thinking about the fact he might be immortal. Marco looked over at Ace when the other spoke. "I- I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable…." Marco blinked, before he understood Ace thought he had made him uncomfortable since he didn't speak after Ace said he tasted good.
Marco shook his head, looking at Ace with a calm look. "You didn't, yoi. I just realised I might be immortal. It's just a small shock. It's not because of you." Ace gave a small nod, turning to look at the wall again. Marco tried to think a bit more around the fact if he was immortal or not, but not really sure. Someone had to know, he should see if he found anything in any books or something.
After a minute, Ace spoke up in a low voice. "Marco?" Marco gave a small hum, making Ace continue. "Thank you." Marco gave a small chuckle, moving a hand around Ace's shoulders, bringing him into a small hug. "It was nothing, yoi." He was glad Ace had fed off him, he needed it and now he would be fed for a while, hopefully until the others came for them. If not, he would offer again for Ace in a few days. But still, he needed to deal with the fact he might be immortal. Why else would he taste good for Ace? He needed to speak with this to Pops, he needed to get someone else's mind on this. And he didn't want to tell the other commanders, or anyone else for that manner. He looked over at Ace. "Don't tell anyone I might be immortal, I don't want others to know." Ace nodded slowly. "Why not?" Marco hummed. "Because I don't know myself. If it's not right, I don't want others to believe something that's not true."
Ace nodded. "I get that. What will you do if you are immortal?" Marco sighed. "I don't know." Ace nodded. "If you want, I can ask Vincent. He's old, like some thousand years old. Maybe he knows something." Marco blinked. "He's that old?" Ace nodded. "Yeah. Lords live a long time, I mean, I will too, but not as long as him." Marco nodded. "How old will you get?" Ace hummed. "Some hundred years I believe. If no one kills me. If I'm lucky, maybe a thousand years. Lords can be up to hundred thousand years. Some normal vampires live long too, but I don't know where I fit yet." Marco nodded, that was long. If he was immortal, he at least had Ace with him for a while. He should probably speak with Vincent about this. "Is Vincent the oldest, yoi?" Ace hummed. "No, Vivian is… or was it Clear? Vivian or Clear." Marco nodded. "Have you met them?" Ace shook his head. "No, I've only met Vincent." Marco nodded. That made a bit of sense, Ace was young, and he hadn't grown up with Vincent like Aoba had.
They then sat in the cell and did their best to rest, so if an opportunity to get out came, they had the energy. It didn't seem like that would happen, and he was glad they were left alone in the cell, not taken to get tortured or anything, just left alone. They did get food every other day, not that Ace ate any, as he couldn't since he was a vampire, something it didn't seem like their captors knew. But as long as Marco was fine, it meant Ace would be fine as well. It took 5 more days before they heard a commotion from the outside, and he hoped it was the others coming to get them out. After a couple hours, the door opened and Izou came through, which was good sixteenth commander then opened the door for them, he was the best with lockpicking. As they were out, there was a reunion with the others, which was nice, and they would party when the evening came. Which would be a large one.
As they got back to the boat, they settled down, Ace heading for his room to really relax, and Marco was out and watching over everyone. When evening was nearing, and since they would have a large party, Pops was forced to bed before it happened, so he had some rest that night. But as Pops was in his room, it made so he could head to Pops room and speak to the man. When he got into Pops room, the captain seemed glad to really see he was fine, and wondered why he was there, which had Marco sigh. "We got through the 10 days, but Ace wouldn't survive without food, yoi."
Pops blinked. "That's true, I forgot about that. How did he manage? He didn't seem hungry." Marco nodded. "I know, he fed off me, it was the only way." Pops nodded, agreeing on that. "And, I have a feeling you are here because of that." Marco nodded, taking a breath. "Apparently, I taste really good. Which is weird, as Ace's preference is immortality. And it got me thinking; am I immortal, yoi?" Pops frowned a bit. "Are you?" Marco shook his head a bit. "I don't know. But it would make sense, why else would I taste good? Ace offered to ask Vincent, as he's old, some thousand years old, maybe he knows something." Pops nodded. "That sounds smart. I didn't know he was that old. I wonder, will Ace get as old?" Marco shook his head. "No, he won't. He said he would get some hundreds years old, maybe a thousand, yoi." Pops nodded. "That is still old." It was.
Pops looked at him. "What are you thinking of all this, son?" Marco sighed. "I don't know. It's overwhelming in a way. I might be immortal." Pops nodded. "That I get, son. I hope you can get some answers from Vincent, if possible." Marco nodded. "I hope so myself, I will ask Ace more if he can ask him for me. Or maybe one of the others." Pops frowned. "Others?" Marco nodded. "There are 5 Lords. Vincent, Vivian, Sienna, Walter, and Clear." Pops nodded. "Did Ace tell you this?" Marco shook his head. "No, Aoba did, I asked him. And, according to him, Clear roams the ocean. And not in a boat, he walks." Pops frowned. "I have heard that. Not about Clear, but a man walking on the sea. I thought it to be a fairytale. But, maybe it's not." Marco nodded. "It seems to be true. Maybe our paths will cross one day." Marco hoped so, he was curious about this. Pops nodded. "Maybe. But I have a feeling his presence must mean something is wrong, wrong with Ace. I don't think he would come just to say hi." That was true, that might mean that. "I believe you might be right. Hopefully we can meet in a good manner." He hoped that himself. Clear might be the oldest, how old he didn't know, and it could be a lot. He would speak with Ace about this when he had the time alone with him. For now, he would spend a bit of time with Pops, before they headed out for the evening and celebrated their safe return.
And that's the chapter, hope you enjoyed
I know this was a bit short and only one event, but I lacked a bit of imagination, and i hope the next one will be better
