Hello everyone, here is the next chapter!

I know this is super duper late, and I am so sorry! I hope it won't take over half a year for the next update

Also, based on how late this is, it should be like 10k words, but it is a bit short since I had a writer block on this, but I hope this is good enough, and the next one will hopefully be longer, so sorry about this

We are also actually slowly getting to the end of this story, and I reread a bit of this so I have some new ideas which hopefully will help keeping it updated on time, which is about once a month

I hope you will enjoy this

Read and relax

Whitebeard sat ready out on deck, everything in the plan had been done, and now they just needed to wait. Then, the Dread Doctors were spotted, and they were as last time, walking in the air, and everyone got ready.

The Dread Doctors came, and they were as ready as they could be. But he had a bad feeling. Then, it went south right away. It was filled with horrors and scenes, and it seemed like different people saw different things, before things just went black for him, and when he opened his eyes, which just felt like a second, the doctors were gone and things were calm again, but Ace was gone. It took him a bit of time to get the images of his children being hurt out of his mind, but he needed to focus to get Ace back. But, he had hoped to see which way they had headed, but they had not been able to see, and it seemed like no one had, and it all seemed lost.

But as all seemed lost, Lance spoke as he reached into his pocket. "I made this two days ago." Lance said as he took out a stone, which had him frown. "What's that?" Lance hummed. "A protection stone. We can follow it and find Ace." That was something. "So," Started Marco. "You're sure it will be able to find him? What if they, I don't know, annulates it? If that is possible, yoi." Lance shook his head. "How would they know about this? Only I do, and now you. Not even Ace knows." Whitebeard frowned. "How can you make one without his knowledge?" Lance shrugged. "Pretty easy. If we have a good relation, it would work without him knowing." Whitebeard blinked. That was good, they could find Ace now.

They then followed the path the stone wanted them to follow, before they got to an island not that far away, and got ready, heading onto the island. They then walked towards a mountain, and it was really steep, like a wall, and he saw no entry place. They went towards the wall, and Lance moved his hand and said a word, and the wall just… melted away, revealing a pathway. It was large enough for him, which was good, but also made him feel wary. They then headed in and as they moved by carefully, he could hear noises in the distance, which only grew louder as they moved. He didn't know which kind of sound it was, but it was like machines working. He had a feeling it was nothing good.

They walked on, and after a bit, they saw a room at the end of the hallway they were in, and walked on carefully, even though the sounds here were loud, so their footsteps weren't as noticeable. He also noticed his powers leaving. This wasn't good. But they needed to move on. As they got to the room at the end of the hallway, he saw the Dread Doctors standing around a table a bit to the left, speaking amongst themselves, and when one moved, he saw Ace was on the table, head turned away from them, but he was sure that was Ace.

He then saw Lance giving some motions to Izou, who readied his gun, aimed, and shot. And as soon as the sound left, it was as if things moved in slow motion, him sure it was a spell, as the Dread Doctors just avoided it, before they went towards them, glitching in place as they did, and he took a breath, before a battle started.

It also seemed they didn't make any scenes happen, maybe they needed to prepare more? But that was a good thing, but no matter what they did, nothing hit the Dread Doctors. They either avoided it, or they glitched in place and everything they sent at them just went through them, as if they were not really there. But every time they used a spell or hit them, they hit hard, this wasn't going as planned, this was going awful. He wished he had his powers.

After battling for a while, the Dread Doctors did move a bit backwards, and said something which sent a few of his children down to the ground, before the Dread Doctors moved towards them, glitching in place and they all got ready, those who hadn't fallen, when they suddenly stopped, turning to look left, and he did too, shocked to see Trevor there, who had placed something on a wall, giving a grin. "I know your frequency." Frequency? He didn't know what that meant, when the witch threw something and it hit the doctor in the chest, making him take a step back, and he blinked, before he felt new hope. They could fight now. They might be able to win this. Whatever Trevor did, made them not invincible. This was perfect, and he felt his powers slowly coming back.

They then fought, this time with a new confidence, and they quickly got the upper hand, when the one with the sleek mask held his hand up. "Retreat." He said, before the doctors turned around and headed towards a door, and they would follow, they needed to end this. But when they got there to the door, it closed, before the door just disappeared, just a wall left. it had him blink ,before he used his powers to make the wall fall, and… nothing. There was nothing there, just the mountain side, no path visible. Must have been a pathway they could use, a witch thing. It had Trevor sigh. "Well, they managed to get away. But, we won this fight!" They had, which was something. He turned around and saw Ace being helped up from the table to the floor by Marco, looking a bit unsteady on his feet, but looked fine, as in no visible injuries. The Dread Doctors thankfully hadn't had Ace long.

He looked at Trevor. "How did you do that? What did you do?" Lance came up. "Yes, what did you do?" Trevor hummed. "Well, apart from being amazing, I found out what 'frequencies' meant from your notes." Lance blinked. "What? You did? How did you do that? What did it mean?" Trevor hummed. "How to explain… They move at a special frequency. Know how the Den Dens speak? They speak with a special frequency to each other. They did the same, and I interrupted it. Making them vulnerable again." Lance blinked. "Huh, that's amazing! I always wondered what that 'frequency' meant. How did you know which frequency it was?" Trevor chuckled. "It was in the notes. Just… hidden. I don't even think you were onto it yourself. But it was there. But they got away, but they now know we can fight them, which might mean they will stay away from you." That was something. He looked over at Ace, who was up and looked somewhat okay, looking confused. "You okay, son?" Ace gave a small nod. "I think so…"

Lance moved over to Ace. "Do you feel any different? What did they do?" Ace lightly shook his head. "I… don't know." That had them frowning, Trevor moving over to Ace as well. "Look at me." Ace did, and Trevor moved his hand to be almost behind him, before he suddenly snapped his fingers, but Ace didn't react at all, as if nothing happened. Trevor nodded. "Spell. Makes your senses muffled. It'll pass slowly, or we can take it away." That was good. Trevor then gave a searching look to Ace. "But the question is; do you want it away?" Ace frowned. "What?" Trevor looked at Ace and did a circle around him. "They must have done something. But what? You seem so fine." Ace blinked, and looked at his arms. "I feel fine too..." He hoped that was good.

Lance hummed. "We can take the spell away, but I am with you, Trevor. Should we?" Trevor hummed, before he looked at him. "Don't you have a great doctor?" The captain nodded, and Trevor looked back at Ace. "Let's have her check you. Then we can take it away, if you're fine." Ace nodded, and it seemed like a good idea.

Ace then went to Bay, and after a bit, Bay came out and they all looked at her, and she nodded. "He's fine, from what I can see. But to be honest, I can't be too sure. He is a vampire, I don't really know how they work. He has no pulse, no heartbeat, no breathing. Everything I usually check isn't a thing here." Made sense, he got that. Marco gave a small sigh. "How about we call Shanks? And have Aoba say what we should check, yoi." Sounded to be the best. They needed to go call them, and they went to do it, Bay also joining so she could learn something new.

When they called. Aoba was happy to help, glad Ace was fine. He then said what to check that he knew, like fangs, nails, eyes, and such. And everything seemed fine. When they were done, Aoba asked if he could drop by, and Ace gave a pleading look at that, so he said yes, Aoba and the others could, which made Ace really happy.

As they hung up, Trevor looked at Lance. "You take the spell away, and I am ready with a new one? In case." Lance nodded. "Sounds the best." Lance then looked at Ace. "You ready?" Ace looked unsure. "I don't know." Lance hummed. "We can let it pass by itself." Ace nodded slowly. "Maybe? I think that might be the best." It might be. Trevor nodded. "Yeah, get that. If you feel… not fine, tell Lance or me, okay? We can fix it." Ace nodded. "I will." That was good. Ace was safe, that was the most important. He hoped those doctors hadn't done anything to Ace, that they didn't manage it in the time they had him. But he could only wait and see as the spell wore off.
