Chapter 3: Just Some Intruder

3 week has passed since the shopping incident and Naruto is at the library getting information on the syllabus before joining the academy in the end of the month. At almost 4 pm and he is ready to leave for his home, meanwhile in the on the route of Naruto's home there was lake where son & father were training.

Sasuke Uchiha few months older than Naruto is training today with his father for the first time. Sasuke is always under the shadow of his older brother Itachi Uchiha a prodigy since he was 4 years old and always assume that his father favors Itachi more than him (which is actually very true as it boosts the clan's morale among the village), because of this Sasuke don't like his father and brother. Today after Mikoto's request/warning Fugaku had to spend time with Sasuke and so he took him to the lake where he took Itachi to teach him his first fire ball jutsu which he performed like a pro the first attempt.

Sasuke: So why are you training me today out of the blue?

Fugaku: You're going to attend the academy next month so it's time for you train properly before you embarrassed our clan.

Sasuke: Of course! (Sighing) so what are we learning today?

Fugaku: Watch this, I only going to show you this once (performing a fire ball jutsu). Did you get it?

Sasuke: Yeah, I think I got it (performing a fire ball jutsu smaller than Itachi). So how was it (hoping for a praise)?

Fugaku: Hmm, why did I think you would be like Itachi (sighing). Now you can practice this jutsu, I am going home and get home on time.

Fugaku exits the lake leaving Sasuke all by himself to train. Sasuke stand at same position after hearing his father for 5 minutes. And then he screamed as loudly as possible scarring some animals and a certain blonde.

Sasuke: GO TO HELL!

Naruto was hidden behind a bush after he saw the quick training session between father & son and waited for it to be over, after the father left the son was standing and he hoped that he could pass by unnoticed until kid screamed and made him fall on his butt.

Sasuke quickly sees the blonde with one glance jumped on him as fast as he could. Naruto slower than Sasuke so he tried to run left/right but was cornered by Sasuke near the lake and started to crying. Sasuke seeing him crying pushed his head inside the water again and again till he stop crying (Fugaku used this method on Sasuke & Itachi when they were 3 and started to cry while learning). When Naruto stopped crying Sasuke's anger towards his father was gone and began interrogating him.

Sasuke: Who are you? Were you spying on me (with angry glare like his father)?

Naruto: I am sorry, I am Naruto and I wasn't trying to spy on you (on his butt about to cry once more).

Sasuke was hurt by his father's words and out of nowhere hugged Naruto and started to cry on his shoulder. Naruto is surprised with Sasuke's sudden action and a bit uncomfortable because he never before had any human contact like this before, so he was confused on what to do in a situation like this.

They remained in the same position for quite some time till Sasuke stopped crying.

Sasuke: Sorry for such behavior (still sad).

Naruto: It's okay (still scared & confused).

Sasuke: So where do you live? I haven't seen you in this part of village ever before?

Naruto gave his address and told him why he was here.

Sasuke: So you are an orphan and you live all by yourself.

Naruto: Yes.

Sasuke: That's kind of cool living all by yourself; no parent to taunt plus you can do whatever you want.

Naruto: Yes.

Sasuke: Sorry in advance if my next question hurt your feeling; do ever miss having parents and sibling (serious & depressed)?

Naruto: No.

Sasuke: Why?

Naruto: How can I miss something when I never had it in the first place (serious).

Sasuke accepted his answer and made quick decision to solve his current problem.

Sasuke: Hey, since you live alone you will have no problem of me living with you for a while right (a question said in commanding tone)?

Naruto: Umm (scared after hearing his tone change).

Sasuke: You have a problem (glaring).

Naruto: Nope (chickening out).

Naruto's Apartment

Sasuke: This is a nice apartment for a single person (impressed seeing the layout of the 2 bedroom apartment).

Naruto: Thanks. Do you want dinner?

Sasuke: Oh it's that late already huh; no thanks I'm in no mood for dinner, I think I'm just going to sleep (tired).

Naruto: Okay. You can take the bed I'll can sleep on the couch (being polite).

Sasuke: Are you sure? I'm comfortable on the couch too.

Naruto: I don't mind.

Sasuke: Cool.

Lakeside

Itachi: Are you sure you left him here dad?

Fugaku: Of course, who do you think I am boy.

Itachi: Just saying; Oh maybe he went to his friend's house.

Fugaku: I doubt that, if that were the case he would have informed Mikoto.

Itachi: I think he would if you haven't left him after 5 minute.

Fugaku: Ever since you made it to chunin you developed a big mouth didn't you. Don't try that in front of me because I know how to clip a crow's wings.

Itachi: I'll look for him (running away before his father unleashed all the anger on him).

Fugaku: Tonight's weather is nice; I think I can sleep here. Thrown out of my own house by my wife. Great (sighing in frustration).

Naruto's Apartment

Next day at 10 am Sasuke woke up and without even trying to look for Naruto he started to freshen up. Naruto was an early riser because he has to and there is no one else to wake him up when needed, so he trained himself to wake up at 6 am and do some house chores. Naruto was at the balcony when Sasuke woke up and started to pack ingredients hoping that after his breakfast he would leave. Sasuke entered the room with the dining table with irritated look on his face.

Sasuke: I take back the words I said last night. Your apartment is crap. How can you live in this dumb place?

Naruto: Huh (cute puppy face)?

Sasuke: Your flush doesn't work.

Naruto: I put up with it (smiling).

Sasuke: No hot water.

Naruto: I put up with it (still smiling).

Sasuke: Your bathroom is like when you open magical gate it takes you straight to the bathroom from a haunted house, I mean what's up with those walls.

Naruto: Just water leakage problem. I put up with it (smiling)

Sasuke: And it looks like your kitchen doesn't have any gas.

Naruto: I put up...

Sasuke: Oh hell no! No one can cook without gas.

Naruto: Huh (cute puppy face)?

Sasuke: Don't tell me you cook outdoors?

Naruto nodded.

Sasuke: Alright what are we having for breakfast?

Naruto quickly bring a bird cage from the balcony in which a crow is scared.

Sasuke: Uh, where did you get that?

Crow's Flashback- when Naruto is enjoying the fresh air early in the morning then he landed near the window where Sasuke was sleeping. He smiled seeing Sasuke safe and sleeping peacefully as he used to do since he was born. Then he sees Naruto eyeing him and went towards him. He let Naruto pet him because he kept Sasuke safe. He was feeling good when Naruto was petting him then suddenly his world went dark when an innocent & sweet looking eyes turned into the eyes of the serial killer. Grabbing him by his throat and shoving him in the bird cage. –Crow's Flashback End

Naruto: I found him on the balcony this morning. I bet it will taste great.

Sasuke recognized the crow as one of the Itachi's summons. When the crow sees Sasuke he knew he has recognized him and he will save him from this savage human. Both looked into each other eyes having flashbacks of the time spend together, a smile formed in their faces and at that he knew- he knew he is saved by his master's brother.

Sasuke felt emotionally attached to that crow, he was always there to play with him and watched him trained. His mind told to stop Naruto from killing the crow.

Sasuke: I want wings and breast rest you can eat.

Crow's world crashed down like an earthquake. He was betrayed, betrayed by Sasuke. After all time and risking his life in ninja battle he was going to die by the hands of kid who hasn't even started the academy. He was going to be a laughing joke and won't even get a proper funeral because in 24 hours he was going to get turned into shit. A chicken's death is a worst kind execution for a bird to have. Tears rolled down the eyes the crow.

Naruto: Okay.

In the Forest

Sasuke: I'll start the fire you kill the crow.

As Naruto was about to kill the crow suddenly an older kid appeared between them taking the crow from Naruto's hand and hugging it like a mother does to a child.

Naruto: Hey!

Sasuke: Unhand the crow you thief, it is our breakfast.

Itachi: What's the meaning of this Sasuke? Why are you hurting my summons?

Sasuke: You left it unattended and Naruto caught it fair and square, so now it is his and he can decide what to do with it.

Both brothers turned to Naruto. After seeing Sasuke's brother in his chunin jacket he knew he had done something that he shouldn't have so he did the 'sorry position'.

Sasuke: (sighing in defeat) Fine but we at least need something in exchange.

Itachi: You don't (pointing at Sasuke), and get up (seeing Naruto) I owe you a favor. You can ask me anything I could within my reach. Okay?

Naruto after seeing Sasuke saying to accept it he accepts an IOU from Itachi.

Itachi: Now then that's clear, mom is worried sick about you. Why didn't you inform her that you were staying at your friend's house?

Sasuke: Don't worry I'll talk to her at lunch.

Itachi: Make sure you do. And don't mind me asking but why is your friend staring at me like I am about to eat him alive.

Sasuke: Just mind your own business and GET LOST, you are ruining our breakfast time.

With the message delivered Itachi exits the forest.
