Chapter 7: Just Some Career Council

Team Minato, Mikoto and Hiruzen were tensed after what happened. For Mikoto, Kakashi and Rin it was hard to believe what Hiruzen and Obito saw. Question was why was the Shinigami piercing Naruto's chest, what does it need from him? After the seal was placed the Shinigami should have never returned unless it was summoned. The only reason they both saw the Shinigami was because they both have experienced death back in the war, these near death experience gave us the ability to see the Shinigami when summoned at least that was the only explanation that Jiraiya could come up with. With this information send to Jiraiya they could only wait for his appropriate response then the next action could be taken, meanwhile for tonight Mikoto & Rin would stay near the kids just in case anything happens, Obito was told to keep an eye on Naruto for 2 months without him knowing and Kakashi would remain on standby just in case a mission comes up where he need to travel far. The decision was made that no one will inform the council or anyone about what happened.

The next morning both Naruto & Sasuke were greeted by breakfast prepared by Mikoto & Rin.

Sasuke: I don't remember agreeing to you staying here with us.

Mikoto: Don't worry it's just for today.

Sasuke: By the way I prefer Naruto's cooking anyway.

Mikoto: What did you say (getting angry)?

Sasuke: (realizing what he said) nothing.

Rin: Anyways setting that aside, what are your plans today?

Sasuke: I was thinking that we would train before the academy starts.

Rin: So you want a head start in your studies to show off to your classmates.

Sasuke: Something like that.

Rin: About you Naruto, what will you do in for 3 days?

Naruto: Same (softly spoken).

Rin: That's good.

After the breakfast both Mikoto & Rin left leaving them to their own devices.

Sasuke: So how do you want to train?

Naruto: I haven't decided what type of ninja I want to be.

Sasuke: What do you mean?

Naruto: Every brilliant Ninja has their own field to of expertise and they specialize in particular field of combat. Like the Forth Hokage specialize in teleportation, close range fighter based on the weapon of choice which was a kunai and he also knew sealing jutsu and very few elemental jutsu.

Sasuke: I get your point. Hey can I be fire element specialist?

Naruto: You can but I have only seen you make a small fire ball which is not very effective in a battle. What I mean is fire ball is a harmful any smart ninja could dodge it and any little Uchiha kid can perform it cause all members in your clan has fire elemental charka & it requires less control as compared to other fire jutsu. To be a specialist you need to first learn the basics in theory and then apply it to your unique fighting style.

Sasuke: Wait, I have to develop my own fighting style?

Naruto: Yes, that's how you become a specialist because no one else can do it other than you. But we still have time to do and learn all that.

Sasuke: Just another question, how do you know all this stuff?

Naruto: Library.

Sasuke: So I think we are going to the library then?

Naruto: Yes, we can find all the details about various elements and chakra and then we decide the best training schedule for it (getting all excited).

Sasuke: You really like training huh.

Naruto: No, just creating new things.

Library (12 pm)

Sasuke want to be the best powerhouse fire style user in the world and Naruto also wanted to be a powerhouse using water style as elements and learn fuinjutsu because it could come in handy. Naruto was browsing through books looking for chakra and different types of chakra control for both of them.

Naruto: Sasuke first what we need is to learn how to control chakra before performing any jutsu and we have to exhaust our chakra each day to the point of physical fatigue because our chakra limit works like a part of our muscles if we constantly use them…

Sasuke: Our chakra will increase like our strength.

Naruto: Correct, so what we have to do is meditate and to do the leaf chakra exercise which they are going to teach us in the 2 year of the academy but we can do it like training to as no supervision is require to perform this task and all the tips to perform this are given in this book.

Sasuke: Okay that will increase our chakra but what about strength?

Naruto: For that we are going to need some supervision as if we perform any exercise incorrectly then it could lead us to injury or worst improper stances which could ultimately be very hard to fix as it could become our second nature.

Sasuke: You are right, improper stances could be worst. How about this you go home, understand all the information about the chakra control exercise and prepare some meal meanwhile I'll find us someone who can teach us how to do physical training.

Naruto: Okay.

After that Naruto issued a copy of the books on chakra control and fuinjutsu and went home. Sasuke was in trouble as he said that he could find some teacher who could teach them physical exercise the only problem was he doesn't know how to find them. He didn't want to his family's help so he just walked till he reached the building where all the ninja's receive their mission. His idea was to stop the most physically fit ninja to teach them, the question was how? Half an hour passed but no ninja's physical build impressed him until he eye saw a man in a weird haircut and clothes standing beside Kakashi and he could see the difference physically between them.

Sasuke: Excuse me please.

Kakashi: Hmm, hey Sasuke.

Sasuke: I need your help.

Kakashi: Sure, what do you need?

Sasuke: Actually I was talking to this 'uncle'.

Kakashi starts to laugh. Guy gets embarrassed.

Guy: I am not an uncle kid, I am guy and I am at my spring time of youth.

Sasuke: So you not in your 30s then.

Guy: No I am 17 same as Kakashi.

Sasuke: Sorry I thought you were at least older than Kakashi because you look a lot more physically fit as compared to him who looks below average.

Now Guy was laughing and Kakashi was embarrassed.

Sasuke: Sir Guy would you please teach me and friend some exercise on physical training.

Guy: Why do you want to train with some exercise rather than learning taijutsu?

Sasuke: My friend thinks that there is no point of learning any taijutsu first because we aren't physically strong and with appropriate strength we could create our personal style which only we could use.

Guy: Your friend seems to me knows what he is doing, but what about you what do you think?

Sasuke: I think he is right because I believe him and each time I ask him he gives an explanation which makes a lot of sense.

Guy: Why do need me then?

Sasuke: We don't want you train use or teach us your ways, we only someone to supervise and correct us if do something wrong.

Guy: Both of your power of youth is so bright that it could blind the whole world. Seeing the determination in your eyes how can I refuse…

Sasuke: (cutting off Guy mid-sentence) Oh great, we are already late for the training Naruto might get bored if we made him wait long.

Kakashi: I think I will also join you guys today because I have a below average body (trying to be sarcastic)

Sasuke: Whatever, please bring Guy to our residence.

Sasuke left the place while Kakashi & Guy were left frozen after they were humiliated by a 5 year old kid's attitude.

Guy: Kakashi that kid has more hip attitude than you.

Kakashi: Yeah.

Uzumaki Resident

When Sasuke come back he saw Naruto busy practicing his calligraphy then he reached him and told him about the Guy who was going to supervise their training. Naruto asked if wanted something in return Sasuke said forgot to ask him that question. They both waited while eating lunch for him.

Kakashi & Guy arrived right after kids finished their lunch. Kakashi came with Guy because he knows Naruto would not be able to handle Guy's personality or worst seeing Naruto turn into Guy. Kakashi briefly explained about Naruto's unique behavior and ask him to tone it down otherwise he will run away from him which Guy was happy to accept.

Guy always wanted an apprentice to teach him his ways like his father taught him. He wanted to pass his legacy, his technique and his ways to someone worthy, someone who needed it. He was hoping to find his future apprentice among the kids he was about to teach.

Guy: (shouted) Hey guys I hope you are ready to train.

Naruto quickly hide behind Sasuke.

Kakashi: Didn't I tell you to tone it down.

Guy: I forgot.

Sasuke: Don't worry Naruto he may look weird but I can tell he is strong plus he is only dude who looks like who workouts.

Naruto nodded. Then Naruto stood in front of Guy who was smiling 10m away.

Sasuke: This is the best you can get so take it.

Guy nodded with a thumb's up.

Guy: Alright give me a pose which makes you feel calm.

Naruto is down on his back and Sasuke leaned on the training post.

Guy: Okay, looks like I should be more specific. Show me a fighting pose which makes you feel more comfortable.

Naruto lowers his body by bending his knees, positioned his legs which from above looks like 3 o' clock and ready his right for a punch & left hand near his chest for defense. Sasuke first stood in the Uchiha fighting style stance then change it a little making his offensive stance to attack stance.

Guy: I see, Naruto you mostly focus on offence when fighting and Sasuke you only think about attack. You both have pretty good idea for you age about how to fight but what you lack is strength to make your idea into reality.

Naruto: We need a training regimen to follow everyday but we don't know in what and duration to train.

Guy: So what are we waiting for, let's start already.

After training for 3 hours with Guy and Kakashi both of them were down on the ground completely exhausting there physical energy with Guy and chakra with Kakashi.

Guy: You both did well for first day.

Naruto: Thanks.

Sasuke: Can you teach us tomorrow too.

Guy: I'm sorry, I wanted to train you but I have a mission tomorrow but I will be back and whenever I am in the village I will train with you.

Sasuke: Alright, you can come any time after we will be free from academy.

Guy: You got it. What about you Naruto do you like my training?

Naruto: (in sorry position) Sorry Guy sensei, I liked your training but I could not accept your apprenticeship. I just want be a different type of ninja.

Kakashi and Guy surprised.

Guy: I respect your decision and reason for not being an apprentice but….

Kakashi: What makes you think that Guy is looking for an apprentice?

Naruto: He agreed to help to us for free, too eager to pass down his knowledge and hoping for us to join in on his self-imposed. I thought he wanted us to learn his ways even though we only asked on few tips on exercise. Did I come to a wrong conclusion; I am sorry please forgive me (crying).

Guy: You don't have to be sorry for something, actually I was looking for an apprentice to whom I could teach and pass down my ways.

Naruto: (stopped crying) I know someone who wants to be a ninja, he is a hard worker and looks just like you. He would be happy if you meet with him because he was teased a lot for his looks.

Guy: Really if there is a possibility then I would like to meet him.

Naruto: He lives in the orphanage and his name is Rock Lee.

Guy: Alright I will meet him as soon as possible.

Sasuke: if you go now, you can meet him now.

Guy: You are right my youthful student, for not thinking this first I shall do…..

Sasuke: Just go, you to Kakashi sensei otherwise he will scare away other children.

And both jonin exits the Uzumaki residence.

Sasuke: Finally I can relax my body in peace.

Naruto: Yeah.

Sasuke: Hey, do you need some candy?

Naruto: Sure, where did you get them?

Sasuke: In our mailbox.

Naruto eyes were opened wide.

And just like that the candy mystery was back.
