Chapter 16: Just Some Unexpected Return
It was December and snowfall was not making any life easier. In the Uzumaki residence the boys were training to walk on walls to improve their chakra control. Each exercise performed by them was practiced till it became their second nature. They were also learning new tricks to use in a combat created from their exercise.
It was Wednesday and everyone was busy with their works and academy half yearly exams just came in. Apparently Sasuke was now the top student and Naruto was now an average student. Civilians think that he surely has become an idiot and all that being on top of the class was just a fluke but everyone who knew him knows what's up that he is making his grades fall on purpose and they can do nothing to help him.
With the current result from the school Sasuke didn't feel like celebrating so they decided to go home and train.
During afternoon 2 men and 2 women with 5 children covering their faces entered the village from the gates with 2 valid ids. Those people without wasting anytime head towards the Hokage tower.
At first they looked with suspicious eyes by others but seeing 2 sannin travelling with them brought ease to the mind of the villagers and ninjas.
Seeing the 2 sannin they easily got an appointment to meet with Hokage who was waiting for them for almost a year.
Hiruzen: Come in.
Jiraiya: Hey sensei how have you been?
Hiruzen: Good enough and I know about you but how have you been Tsunade?
Tsunade: Better than ever.
Hiruzen: So is this real, are they really back.
Jiraiya: Yes they are really back, that's why I took a whole year to confirm it before coming back.
Tsunade: They really are back, sensei they really are (cried with happiness).
Meanwhile others were in the interrogation room together in one room.
Hiruzen entered the room with his 2 students and there he met the Forth Hokage and his wife with 2 two months twins, a 12 year old Nawaki and two 15 years old girls Anko & Shizune.
Hiruzen: Tell me what happened from the beginning.
Minato: Do want the long version or the short one?
Hiruzen: Everything in detail.
Flashback (1 year ago October)
Orochimaru was trying to perform reanimation jutsu for research to achieve immortality. So he tried reviving 4 Hokage, his wife and Nawaki for checking if the person remains powerful as before (Minato & Kushina) and how far time back can he bring the person (Nawaki).
It was difficult to bring back Minato because he was sealed inside Shinigami but with a little help from abandoned Uzumaki clan compound helped to bring him back but the reanimated bodies were not as strong when the person was alive. Instead they were weak enough to control them, to move forward with his research he needed help of Tsunade as she was expert in biology and now he had the perfect bribe to make her help him.
Minato, Kushina & Nawaki could not move an inch to stop the traitor Orochimaru, they can only watch as he experiments with them.
The next day Orochimaru approached Tsunade and made her an offer that she could not refuse and she agreed to help him with his plans only to stop him because the jutsu that he used was inhuman and she knew that Nawaki did not like this a bit.
When they reached back to the lab of Orochimaru, Tsunade saw her brother and burst into tears and asked Orochimaru to not suppress their personality which he gladly agreed.
Tsunade was happy to see all 3 of them once again and started on working on task which is why she here secretly trying to stop Orochimaru. With some request she convinced him to let all 3 three of them to have their personality all the time because they could also have some information to share.
Kushina didn't like Orochimaru from first day met him and now she was been forced to fulfill his dream. She doesn't like her situation a bit, while thinking this she is suddenly pulled in her mindscape.
Kushina: Who is it (ready to fight)?
Shinigami appeared out of the shadows who don't look happy.
Shinigami: It was me who summoned you Uzumaki.
Kushina: I know you have previously worked with some of my ancestors but why are meeting with me now when I am already dead.
Shinigami: It is true that I have worked with some of your ancestors because I wanted to work with them and you I don't like you & Mito.
Kushina: Why? What did we do?
Shinigami: You both gave all my teachings & techniques to some human whom you call your family who further taught it to others and you can't even keep your clan temple safe from others after the Uzumaki clan was no more.
Kushina: Oh that; Yeah made a quite a mess didn't we (embarrassed).
Shinigami: Well past is past and we nothing can do about it. Uzumaki clan had served me for generations and in return I have given them the knowledge they wanted but now whole world is out of order and you remaining Uzumaki had not kept up your end of the deal (anger growing).
Kushina: Well I would if I weren't so dead you know (trying to lighten the atmosphere).
Shinigami: You think this is a joke (furious)?
Kushina: Sorry.
Shinigami: It doesn't matter, now you and your family are going to fix the problem no matter what.
Kushina: What do you mean (serious)?
Shinigami: You have at least 14 years to kill a person that is not a human who calls himself Black Zetsu; he was the reason why I made the contract with your clan in the first place. He was alive since days of sage of six paths and killing humans before their time making me angry. I am at the end of my patience with you Uzumaki's, if he is not dead within the time assigned to you then your son will die when he turn 20.
Kushina: Come near my children I swear I'll…
Shinigami: You will what, you are not even alive. The only reason your children are breathing is because of me and attack on your village was done by non-other than Zetsu. You are nothing, you do nothing; just follow the task assigned to you like any other clan head.
Kushina: How (feeling defeated)?
Shinigami: Now you are in line, and we can actually do something. I will release you and make all 3 of you come back as a human within right moment and rest is up to you people.
Kushina: Could you please leave my children alone this has nothing to do with it.
Shinigami: Think of this as personal motivation to do the work better.
Kushina: Who are you going to kill (looking at the floor, tears coming out)?
Shinigami: Naruto.
With that they she was pushed out of her mindscape.
Tsunade: What happened to you?
Kushina: Get ready everyone a fight is about to start.
Within 2 hours Nawaki, Minato, Kushina & Tsunade fled from the Orochimaru hideout. All the people in the hideout got to face one of the deadly couple ever lived but Orochimaru ran away before he faced them. They also got to save a girl named Anko who was hold in as a hostage by Orochimaru and experimented on her.
They were currently in the Village Hidden in the Mist where Orochimaru has built his lab because of the bloodline purges where he go unnoticed and find new test subject. They found a small island where they can be safe for few days.
Minato: I think we will be safe for few days here.
Kushina: Can't we teleport to our village?
Minato: Honey, we are currently dead in the eyes of out villagers, so we can't randomly teleport there. The village might get in danger and panic because of our impatience.
Kushina: I know, I just wanted to see our children as soon as possible.
Tsunade: We need to find Jiraiya; he would be able to help us.
Minato: Yeah he might be able to help.
Kushina: What about Naruto (worried)?
Minato: He will be fine; we have 14 years we'll do something about Zetsu.
Kushina: So where we can find Jiraiya sensei?
Nawaki: Is he married?
Tsunade: No.
Nawaki: Then we can get any information about him from brothels.
Tsunade: Where did you learn that word (started to get angry)?
Nawaki: Jiraiya told me (used him as a scapegoat).
Tsunade: He is dead when I see him.
They all leave the island and first find Shizune. She remained in the hotel room when Tsunade left suddenly without telling her and was surprised to see all dead people alive again and Anko who was her classmate in the academy.
All the adults search each & every brothels until they find him and Kushina got some information that he is about to leave the village and near borders. They quickly rushed towards border to catch up to him.
Minato was the first to approach him and block his path and they fought. It was a fight of the ages, earth trembling, Jiraiya not listening to a single word that Minato is saying and Minato trying to convince him that it's really him. Then Tsunade stopped their fight, scolding both of them for fighting like this in the open.
Tsunade explained the whole story to him and Jiraiya told her about the Shinigami piercing Naruto's chest.
Minato: So what do we do now (exhausted).
Jiraiya: First I'll send the toad to explain out current situation to sensei and then think of something (lying on the ground).
They went back in the hotel where Shizune was.
Kushina: Could you tell me the why aren't we going to check on Naruto (anger with frustration).
Jiraiya: Because sensei doesn't believe your story and can't take any risk so we have to wait for at least a year (lying on the bed on his back eyes closed fight exhaustion catching up to him).
Kushina: Okay then how are my children?
Jiraiya: Don't know.
Kushina: Why?
Jiraiya: Because you and your sunshine over there have a lot of enemy so they might get a little suspicious about me meeting them.
Kushina: You mother….
Minato: Kushina sensei is right we have a lot of enemy who are seeking a payback.
Kushina: We? What do mean 'we'? Last time I checked it was you who killed 1000 ninja's in 10 minutes.
Minato face hung low with defeat.
Nawaki: (whispered to Anko & Shizune) Remind me to never piss her off.
Jiraiya & Tsunade: That's why I didn't get married. Jinx!
After a whole year they helped the rebellion a little against the Kage in the mist village and proved indeed they are real and not under any influence of Orochimaru. By the time they were ready to go home Kushina had two more babies 1 boy and 1 girl and they started on the journey to return to their village on foot because Kushina didn't think that teleportation is safe for her newly born children.
Jiraiya: Couldn't even keep it in your pants for a year, could you (irritated after hearing children constant cry).
Minato: Sorry sensei (face hung low with shame).
Nawaki: You're one to talk (pointing at Jiraiya).
Jiraiya: Last time I checked virgins has no say in the matter of sex.
Nawaki: I will get some one day, you'll see (crying tears of blood).
Tsunade: You'll get what, huh (hovering over Nawaki like a devil).
Nawaki: Nothing (his one year life flashed before his eyes).
Anko & Shizune: Perverts (disgusted).
