Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I am really happy and this inspired me to bring in the next chapter, and here the next story arc takes a backseat as I decided to do a filler chapter as I am working on the next story arc, and decided to do a filler chapter as a way to introduce a new character that would help Midoriya as well as added an element of mystery within the plot of this fic.
Well then, read on and enjoy!
The scene shifts at the Hero Public Safety Commission, where the next scene shifts at the chairman's office, where the chairman in charge, a woman identified as Makima, is seen talking to an agent on her smartphone, who happened to be monitoring the Omokagedo Antique shop, as it is revealed that Makima is also monitoring the activities of Kamen Rider Wizard, and for some reason she finds herself intrigued towards the younger boy, as she was able to deduce his identity through the monitoring by her agents.
The agent who has been secretly monitoring the antique shop called Makima and informed her of the current development, which Midoriya has not left the antique shop and that there appeared to be no Phantom activities, which Makima nodded and gave the agent some instructions on what to do next.
"Continue monitoring."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Don't let anything get out of your sight."
"Yes, ma'am."
"And keep updating me of the current situation."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good. Carry on."
"Yes, ma'am."
After that, Makima sipped her cup of coffee as she wondered what to do next, seeing that things seemingly died down after the Hellhound Phantom incident and that she deduced that Section Zero did something to prevent television viewers from suspecting something.
She then got up and contacted her secretary, instructing her to contact Section Zero as she wished to make an appointment with Kizaki, which the secretary asked if Makima is sure, which the latter nodded and said that she is sure of what she plan on doing next.
"You heard me. Contact Section Zero and have Kizaki on the line."
"Are you sure, ma'am?"
"Yes."
"With all due respect…Kizaki is someone not to…"
"Don't worry. I will handle this."
"Really, ma'am?"
"Yes."
"Very well."

Ch. 20: Interlude
A few days later, Makoto Tsukauchi dropped by the antique shop and there she finds Wajima attending to some customers, and as she went to take a seat, Mineta came and greeted Makoto, before asking if Midoriya is here, in which she said that she just arrived and believed that Midoriya is still in bed.
"So Midoriya is still asleep?"
"Maybe…"
"And I thought he goes to school…"
"That's what I thought…but he told me that he is forgoing it until the Phantoms are defeated."
"Huh? Seriously?"
"Yes."
"That's...a lot of hard work…"
"Perhaps…"
As the customers left, Wajima approached the two and informed them that Midoriya left earlier, saying that he needed to unwind something, which made Mineta and Makoto wondered where Midoriya went to, as there were no reported incidents involving a Phantom, and there Wajima believed that Midoriya might went to a place where IT ALL STARTED, which made Mineta baffled.
There Wajima told Mineta about how the antique shop owner met Midoriya and how Midoriya came to live in the shop, surprising Mineta as he had no idea what kind of hardship Midoriya went through, after hearing Wajima explained what Midoriya said about being abducted, subjected to a mysterious ritual and being the sole survival.
"…and that's how Midoriya ended up in my care…"
"No way…then he…"
"Yeah. What he went through is traumatic, yet he forced himself to steel his resolve."
"I…I had no idea…"
"That's why Midoriya tried his hardest to protect everyone he could reach. He didn't want to anyone else to experience what he went through."
"I see…"
"Do you understand now, Mineta?"
"Yeah."
Makoto then asked when Midoriya would be back, in which Wajima said that Midoriya would probably be back within the day, and assured that he would contact Midoriya should a Phantom be spotted, which Makoto and Mineta nodded in agreement.

Much later, the scene shifts at an unspecified area off the coast of Tokyo, where several people of all ages were abducted, subjected to a mysterious ritual and died, where their INNER PHANTOM emerged, and there Midoriya arrived as he had to find closure due to him being the sole survivor of the ritual, having witnessed many people getting killed by the ritual.
Midoriya sighed as he wondered who was behind this and wished that he could find a way to lure out the perpetrator and make him pay for the deaths of many innocent people who died for no reason, and wondered if he has what it takes to defeat the Phantoms.
"Do I...really have what it takes to defeat all of the phantoms…?"
His musing is abruptly interrupted when a Phantom, resembling a humanoid lizard, appeared in front of him, and Midoriya is taken by surprise, as the Phantom is about to attack the teen by lunging towards him, which Midoriya evaded the assault and went on a battle stance, and demanded that the Phantom identify himself, resulting in a very tense atmosphere.
"You…"
"…"
"Are you a Phantom…?"
"…"
"What do you want?"
"…"
"No funny moves…!"
"…"
As the Phantom said nothing, he is poised to attack, and Midoriya is now poised to transform, but then a magical circle-like barrier appeared and the Phantom collided with it and yet the attacking phantom was repulsed and it fell to the open seas below, which swept the attacker away and saved the teen.
Turning around, Midoriya was again taken aback when he saw the White Wizard walking towards him, and there he is carrying a young girl, who appeared to be six years old, which surprised Midoriya as he didn't expect to see something like this after a Phantom encounter.
The small girl's appearance shows that she has bluish, off-white hair, messy and unkempt, which is parted in the middle of her forehead, almost reaching down to her waist. She has very wide, innocent-looking eyes, which are bright red in color. Poking out from the right side of her forehead is a small, brown horn.
She's wearing a plain, short-sleeved dress, which is a dirty, pale tan color. Bandages are wrapped around both her arms and legs, stopping at her wrists and ankles, underneath which she is shown to have numerous scars.
The White Wizard approached Midoriya and gave the little girl, who is unconscious, to him, instructing him to protect her, saying that she is another survivor, which surprised Midoriya, as he was sure that he was the sole survivor, and that there were no other survivors around, though the White Wizard said that he found her floating at the seas after the mysterious ritual ended and he used magic to PARTIALLY REPAIR her body.
"Eh? She's a survivor like me?"
"Yes. For some reason she ended up at the waters…floating…and I was able to find her…"
"Is she…?"
"She is fine for now. But due to the increased Phantom activities…in which I too am patrolling…I need you to look after her for me."
"Me…?"
"Yes. And only you are able to do so."
"…"
"Listen well…"
The White Wizard then told Midoriya on what to do with the little girl, who is identified only as Eri, and this surprised Midoriya, and after that, the White Wizard teleported away, leaving Midoriya and the unconscious Eri behind, and there the teen boy glanced at Eri, and he felt relieved that there was another survivor yet she now carries a heavy burden.

Much later, the scene shifts back at the Omokagedo Antique shop, where Mineta was watching Wajima crafting magic rings, wondering if he could do it too, though Wajima said that this is no easy feat and required a lot of patience and hard work, which Mineta said that he is willing to learn, causing Wajima to raise an eyebrow.
"Oh? You think you can…?"
"Yeah. I think I can do it…"
"Its no easy feat. You'll be needing a lot of patience and stuff…"
"Hey, I can…"
"You need to be at least 18 years old…"
"Three years is no problem…"
"Then we'll see…"
"I'm serious…"
The door opened and the chime rang, where Wajima and Mineta glanced at the door, seeing that Midoriya is back, but then they blinked their eyes seeing that Midoriya brought someone, who turn out to be Eri, who is now awake and is silent, as she appeared to be apprehensive and secluded.
Wajima asked Midoriya who is the child, and taking a deep breath, Midoriya told Wajima and Mineta about what he knows about Eri, and what the White Wizard told him earlier, surprising Wajima and Mineta upon hearing that Eri is another survivor of the mysterious ritual, due to believing that Midoriya is the sole survivor of that incident.
As Eri clutched Midoriya's leg, Midoriya comforted her and assured to her that she is safe now and that no one will hurt her, saying that she will be staying here at the Omokagedo Antique shop, which Wajima nodded and assured to Eri that she is welcomed here.
"It's okay, Eri...this place will be your home now."
"He's right. You are most welcome here."
"…"
"Don't worry. You'll be fine."
"Yes. While Midoriya is out doing…errands, I will look after you."
"…"
"So don't feel down, Eri."
"Yes, everything will be okay."
"…"
Eri hesitantly nodded as she still clutching at Midoriya's leg, and there Mineta whispered to Midoriya, asking if he got any information, like Eri's parents or the like, which Midoriya said that he knows nothing about that, and said that the White Wizard specifically tells him to MONITOR Eri at all times, which Mineta wondered why watch over the little girl like that, which Midoriya admitted that he is unsure about why.
"Hold on, Midoriya..."
"?"
"So this White Wizard guy assigned you to become her babysitter?"
"Well…"
"Hey, he assigned you to take down those Phantoms...so why assign you in looking after Eri? Isn't that a bit too much…?"
"Well, he said that he too is hunting Phantom and…"
"He should have assigned someone else…"
"…"
To Be Continued...
Hope you like this chapter, and though this is much of a filler chapter, it did feature something important, such as the introduction of Eri, who appeared to have a mysterious plot line, and she would have something that would help Midoriya in later chapters…
