Ch. 39: Budō tōnamento part 11
Back at the stadium, the audience were gearing up in excitement as the intermission ended, and the next contestants were announced and summoned to the arena, and amongst the contestants' names were Katsuki Bakugo and Ochako Uraraka, where the audience realized that only two more matches are left before the semifinals would commence and wondered who would emerge as the final two competitors of this tournament.
"Two more matches are left…"
"And after that it's the semifinals…"
"Who are the participants?"
"Hey…those two are from UA Academy..."
"Uraraka and Bakugo…"
"Who are they going to fight…?"
"Will they fight each other?"
"Oh boy…"
Ojiro watches on as he wonder whether either or both Bakugo and Uraraka would advance, as he and Kirishima were eliminated while Kendo was the only one so far able to make it to the semifinals, and he hoped that both Bakugo and Uraraka would make it through as he wanted his classmates to get past the elimination round of this tournament.
Kirishima came and asked how are things here, which Ojiro said that the match hasn't started yet, and the two Class 1-A members wondered what would happen next, as either Bakugo and Uraraka would face their opponents or they would face each other for the final slot for the semifinals, thus putting Uraraka's chance of winning the prize money at stake.
"This is one scenario she might face…"
"No way…she…"
"Yeah…it's possible that Uraraka might face Bakugo. And even as her fighting skills improved, she may not be able to match Bakugo's superior battle skills."
"Then there's the possibility…"
"That she might get eliminated…"
"That's tough luck…"
"Indeed. And don't expect Bakugo to back down…"
"…"
Kendo approached Ojiro and Kirishima and told them to be ready, saying that Bakugo and Uraraka facing each other is a possibility and there's no telling what would happen next as the next few minutes would be crucial as Uraraka wanted to win the prize money but getting into the semifinal round would be an obstacle she needs to get past to.
"You guys are right…the next matches will be crucial for Uraraka..."
"…"
"…"
"Knowing Bakugo, he won't be playing a good Samaritan here…it's every participants for him/herself here…"
"Yeah…"
"And Uraraka is in a possible worst spot…"
"She has to brace herself."
"Indeed…"
"She has to…"
Not far, Snakefist Snek and Lightning Max overheard the conversation, and the two pro heroes now have an idea on why Uraraka is so determined to win this tournament, and Snek thought of offering Uraraka a job at the Heroes Association, though Max said it would depend on how she would fare at the written and physical exams of the Association, saying that in the event that Uraraka managed to pass the two exams, she may either get drafted to C-Class or B-Class.
"B or C-Class?"
"It's the possible scenario…"
"Since she possess such a Quirk according to the website I browsed, it would be useful…and I doubt that she would end up being in C-Class..."
"Depending on the results of the physical and written exams…"
"You know, Snek…I sometimes think that the written exams can be quite unfair…heck I even think that even Hellish Blizzard would want to recruit her…"
"Hmm…if Blizzard were to find out about that girl's Quirk it's possible that she would recruit such a girl…as for her possible placement…if she managed to ace the written exams, it might be possible that she might end up in A-Class…the problem though would be Amai Mask..."
"The vain fool…"
"Well…that's reality..."
Then something unexpected happened as a ruckus can be heard, and both Snek and Max went to the source, where a few ushers were trying to restrain Uraraka as she is pissed off to the max while Suiryu just stood there smiling like a Casanova, saying that he has arranged a place for their DATE after DEFEATING HER, which she angrily rebuked his comments and tells him to go somewhere else and stop harassing her.
"You damn lecher!"
"Now, now…be a good sport…"
"I told you I'm not interested! So stop harassing me and leave me alone!"
"Fate has been decided…so why not go out with me and have a good time after the tournament…I promise that it'll be romantic…"
"I rather die than go out with a chauvinist like you! I swear I will…"
"Go out with me…? That would be the best victory prize I would ever receive once I win the tournament…"
"I'm going to kill you!"
"Now, now…just admit that you're head over heels on me…"
Kirishima, Ojiro and Kendo came and saw what is going on and they urged Uraraka to calm down and ignore Suiryu, but Uraraka was so pissed off after telling her schoolmates what Suiryu said, as his comments make her look like a CALL GIRL or a PROSTITUTE, which her schoolmates are not pleased, yet they still urged her to keep her cool and not give in to provocation.
"Calm down, Uraraka!"
"Ease up!"
"Don't give in to his provocation!"
"I can't take it anymore! He makes me feel like I'm some cheap girl he can pick up on the streets!"
"He's not worth it!"
"You can get even should you meet in the semifinals…but not like this!"
"In the event that you get eliminated…I'll fight him for you…so please…calm down…"
"…"
Suiryu just smiled and insisted that THEIR DATE IS ON, reasoning that he is sure to win the tournament, and Uraraka would be his PERFECT DATE as he claims that he already arranged a fancy restaurant and a LOVE HOTEL, but then he felt a palm pressing his back and the four UA Academy students realized what is going on just now.
The scene shows that Bakugo is standing behind Suiryu and he is poised to use his Quirk, and he is threatening to GO ALL OUT so that Suiryu won't be cleared to compete, which Kirishima tells Bakugo that he didn't have to resort to something like that, but Bakugo said that someone has to do something as Suiryu's antics are going too far which his actions are now bordering on SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
"Calm down, Bakugo! There's no need for that!"
"There is! This asshole thinks he can own any girls he sees! This asshole makes it appear that he can create a harem on a whim!"
"You don't have to give in to his provocation!"
"…"
"I'm sure that you can teach him a lesson should you meet him in the semifinals…"
"I don't think this motherfucker need to advance…as I will see to it that he gets half a year's worth of not harassing our classmate for a good reason!"
"Don't, Bakugo!"
"…"
Snek and Max decided to intervene and told Suiryu to stop it now as they said that Bakugo is now willing to disqualify himself just to put a stop to Suiryu's antics, and they told him that if he wants to make it to the finals he better stop hitting on girls, which Suiryu smiled sheepishly before raising his hands and backed away before he heads back to the waiting area.
Snek and Max approached Uraraka and tells her to just ignore Suiryu as she would get the chance to get even should she make it to the semifinals, which she just stare at the floor, as she felt like she had been insulted because of Suiryu's FLIRTING antics which made a JAB on her whole being as a girl.
"You okay…?"
"Please calm down…"
"…"
"You have a match soon…"
"And you need to be mentally prepared…"
"…"
"Just ignore that guy…"
"He's not worth the bother…"
"…"
Ojiro, Kirishima and Kendo approached their schoolmate and tells her not to get riled off, saying that she needs to focus on advancing the tournament as she went this far, reminding her that she is doing this to win the prize money for her parents in order to support them financially, which Uraraka just nodded silently as she realized that she shouldn't have lost her cool.
Snek and Max glanced at each other as they came to sympathize her after hearing out why she chose to participate in this tournament, and the two pro heroes decided to approach her later and give her an offer in joining the Heroes Association as they felt that she might be able to earn money in the event that she gets eliminated later.
"You sure about wanting to invite her to the Heroes Association?"
"In the event that she gets eliminated in the tournament…"
"Seriously…?"
"At least it's a consolation…she came all the way here just because she wanted to win the prize money and help her parents…if that's the reason, then at least we can give her an option to earn money while working at the Heroes Association. Heck the rules doesn't specify any age restriction…take Child Emperor for example…he is…"
"Fine. I'll give her a calling card and let her know…"
"Thanks, Snek."
"Whatever…"
"…"
After a few more minutes the scene shifts at the arena where the audience are getting impatient as they want to see the final two matches of the quarterfinals, as they want to see who would be the ones to advance to the semifinal round of the tournament, as they already know that Suiryu and Kendo are already eligible for the semifinal round.
"Start the match!"
"Start the match!"
"Start the match!"

The ring announcer urged the audience to calm down as the final two matches of the quarterfinals are about to commence, where Uraraka is now facing her opponent, in which the match became physical as her opponent appeared to be physically imposing and was able to land blows on her, but Uraraka persevere as she kept her wits and managed to find an opening and did a counterattack.
Kendo and Kirishima cheered her on as they tell her to win the match and not let her opponent get the upper hand, pinning their hopes in Uraraka getting into the semifinal round of the tournament as they know that she is working hard in order to win the tournament and the prize money just to help her parents whose jobs are facing a financial crisis.
Eventually, Uraraka won the match and she is now in the semifinal round, where Kendo, Kirishima and Ojiro congratulated her for her hard-earned win, saying that she is just two steps closer to winning the tournament and the prize money.
"Well done, Uraraka!"
"You made it to the semifinals!"
"You're just two steps away from winning the prize money!"
"Eh-he-he…"
"All you have to worry about is that idiot who already tried to hit on you…"
"And that would be a good chance to get back at him…"
"Just focus, Uraraka."
"Okay!"
Three minutes later it was Bakugo's turn and he displayed much ferocity as he made quite a hard work but is able to win the match and now the final four participants are now eligible for the semifinal round of the tournament, which are:
- Suiryu
- Ochako Uraraka
- Katsuki Bakugo
- Itsuka Kendo
