I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, second part of the current story arc is about to commence, as a MAJOR villain from One Punch Man continue to cause trouble for the My Hero Academia characters who have the ability to FLY, so expect a lot of BIRD ATTACKS in this chapter…

Ch. 56: Tsubasa no aru senshi no sensō part 2

At this point, Mera came barging in, and with him are pro hero Wash, and fellow UA Academy student and intern Manga Fukidashi, and there Mera saw what just happened, and is infuriated at what the agents did to Koda, and ordered his subordinates to stand down which the surprised agents were forced to comply as Wash and Fukidashi tried to remove the Quirk-blocking device from Koda's neck.

There Mera demanded an explanation on why the agents unjustly arrested Koda without informing him, and as the agents maintained that Koda is the only one whose Quirk is capable of controlling birds, Mera said that the agents must gather proof first and confirm, and he angrily told the rogue agents that they committed RED-TAGGING, and there he summoned other agents to arrest the rogue agents, and the rogue agents pleaded for mercy, which Mera denied their pleading.

"Wwwwaaahhh! No! Please don't!"

"We were just doing our jobs!"

"Don't arrest us!"

"We'll do anything!"

"Please!"

Suddenly, birds, this time in a flock, arrived, and in greater numbers, which appeared to be pet birds, and the type of birds include the following, which are:

- Blue-and-Gold Macaw

Mera stared wide-eyed as he didn't expect something like this to happen, and as the rogue agents said that this is proof, Wash said that the Quirk-blocking device on Koda is still activated, and thus Koda did not summoned the birds, but Fukidashi said that they are in trouble as they are outnumbered and they need to remove the Quirk-blocking device from Koda as his Quirk might save them from the bird attacks.

Outside the safehouse, Phoenix Man is lurking nearby, holding a flute as he is stealthily playing a tune as he is revealed to be the one controlling the birds, and is now instructing the birds to attack everyone inside the safehouse and make sure no one escape alive.

"Good…good…now to go for the kill…"

However, as Phoenix Man is ready to summon more birds to cause further carnage inside the warehouse, something startled him from behind as he was bumped which nearly made him lose balance, and as he turned around he was quite surprised as the one who bumped him was Ochako Uraraka, and he blinked his eyes as he noticed that she is floating, and has no wings, which baffled him as he believe that it is impossible for her to fly if she has no wings, as he is seemingly unaware of the fact that she has a gravity-reducing Quirk.

"So…you're the one behind the bird attacks!"

"Huh?"

"You're busted, mister!"

"You don't have wings…how the heck were you're able to fly?"

"Who cares? Surrender now!"

"Over my dead body, you bitch!"

"Then I'll stop you!"

"Damn you!"

As Uraraka attempted to use her Quirk by touching him, Phoenix Man backed away and play with the flute when another person came to her aid, which turns out to be fellow UA student and upperclassman Nejire Hado, and Phoenix Man was staring in disbelief seeing that she too can fly despite not having a wing, and he wondered what kind of FREAK OF NATURE are they.

As Hado attempted to tackle Phoenix Man, the villain managed to get some distance before managing to play the flute, where he was able to summon a group of hawks and they began to swoop down to attack the two girls, and there Hado uses her Quirk to repel the attacking birds and told Uraraka to try stopping Phoenix Man before he gets the chance to summon more birds.

"Uravity!"

"Yes?"

"Go after the bird man!"

"But what about…"

"I'll deal with the hawks! You go stop him!"

"Will you be okay?"

"Leave it to me! Just go stop him, Uravity!"

"Okay!"

Nodding, Uraraka went after Phoenix Man as she attempted to try touching him via her Quirk but the villain was able to get a distance, and there he played the flute, where moments later a group of vultures arrive and are now targeting Uraraka, and she finds herself in a disadvantage, which Phoenix Man gloated that she is about to become bird food and end up as a falling corpse and carcass. There Phoenix Man ordered the vultures to go kill Uraraka.

"Get her, my pawns!"

"SQUAWK!"

However, something unexpected took place as someone appeared and it turns out to be Fumikage Tokoyami, aka Tsukuyomi, where he is enveloped by his sentient Quirk, Dark Shadow, and there the latter swats away the summoned vultures, before Tokoyami telling Hado and Uraraka to disarm Phoenix Man and/or knocking him out, which the two girls nodded.

"Uraraka! Hado-senpai!"

"Yeah?"

"Stop that guy! He's holding something that summons the birds!"

"Eh?"

"I see…"

"Disarm him or knock him out!"

"Okay!"

Gritting his teeth, Phoenix Man flew away as he needed some distance so that he could have enough time to play the flute and summon more birds to his side, which Tokoyami, Uraraka and Hado gave chase, and there a chase ensued as Phoenix Man managed to get a bit of space before playing the flute and moments later summoned a flock of harpy eagles, which Dark Shadow became concerned and told Tokoyami, Hado and Uraraka to brace themselves as they are in for a nasty bird fight.

"Tokoyami! Girls! Watch out!"

"Huh?"

"Incoming! Brace yourselves!"

"Damn! Harpy eagles!"

"Uravity! Watch out!"

"Damn it!"

As Dark Shadow and the three UA students began defending themselves from the harpy eagles' onslaught, Phoenix Man uses the chance to escape, and though he managed to give the three UA students a slip, moments later he encountered another roadblock when Ryukyu showed up, and she blocked the villain's path, causing a midair Stand-Off between the two winged warriors.

There Ryukyu tells Phoenix Man to surrender and promised that he won't be harmed, though the villain arrogantly rebuked her and said that he won't be taken away so easily, stating that no one can incarcerate him.

"So…the intel I received is true…so you're the one behind the bird attacks recently and just a while ago!"

"Huh? A dragon…?"

"You're under arrest, mister!"

"Not on my watch!"

"Resistance is futile! Surrender now!"

"Over my dead body, you bitch!"

"Then I'll stop you!"

"Damn you!"

Phoenix Man then played the flute, and as Ryukyu is about to lynch him, the pro hero was then struck from behind, and there she is surprised to see a flock of Lammergeier (aka bearded vultures) dive-bombing towards her and she is forced to defend herself as Phoenix Man uses the opportunity to make his escape, and managed to slip off as he intend to find a hiding spot and play the flute to summon more birds and cause wanton chaos.

But before he could get far, Hawks showed up and nearly slashed the villain with his sword made of feathers, surprising the villain as Hawks told him that summoning birds to cause trouble is a serious crime, and he is going to pay his debt to society, which Phoenix Man rebuked the pro hero arrogantly.

"So…you're the one behind the attacks! Using birds to do your dirty deeds…"

"So what?"

"Sorry to say this but…you're totally busted, mister!"

"I don't think so! No one can stop me!"

"Really? I recommend that you surrender now!"

"Over my dead body, you asshole!"

"Then you leave me no choice…looks like I'll have stop you!"

"Damn you!"

As Hawks felt that he may have to harm the villain in order to subdue him, he narrowly caught sight of incoming bird attacks and managed to dodge the bird-strikes but is taken aback as he realized that the flock of birds attempting to swamp him are the Hooded Pitohui, which he realized these are the world's most poisonous bird. The feathers and skin of these birds secrete the same toxin as the golden poison dart frog, which can kill an adult human.

There Phoenix Man ordered the Hooded Pitohui birds to lunge at Hawks no matter what.

"Get him, my pawns! Poison him to death!"

"SQUAWK!"

As the Hooded Pitohui birds aggressively attempted to touch Hawks' exposed face so that they could rub their toxic bodies and feathers on him, Hawks was forced to fight back to avoid getting poisoned, knowing that the effects of the toxins are fatal, and there he was forced to unleash his Fierce Wings to fire several feather darts, killing a majority of the Hooded Pitohui birds, but more of them showed up as Phoenix Man was playing the flute.

However, unexpected help came as Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo came, and using Half-Flame and Explosion Quirks respectively, the birds were slowly burned to death which Phoenix Man was taken by surprise at the unexpected interference by the two UA students who suddenly appeared, which Hawks was relieved.

"Hawks!"

"Hey, Spoonbill!"

"Whoa…fancy seeing you kids here!"

"Bakugo and I happened to pass by and saw the commotion!"

"And we saw a gathering of birds going after you!"

"Thanks! That guy…he's the one controlling the birds!"

"So we should knock him out…?"

"Heh…piece of cake…"

"Do it now! Before he plays a tune!"

Seeing that he is starting to get outnumbered, Phoenix Man played the flute and soon more flocks of Hooded Pitohui birds arrived, and Hawks warned Todoroki and Bakugo about the birds, which the two UA students nodded and used their Quirks to take out the birds, and as Hawks is about to go after the villain, a stray Hooded Pitohui birds collided onto the pro hero, and its feathers touched his face, which facilitated the transfer of the toxin, and Hawks is starting to feel the effects of the poison, prompting Todoroki to help the pro hero while Bakugo is forced to deal with the rest of the flock of the Hooded Pitohui birds.

As Phoenix Man is about to play the flute again, a huge blast of flame wave struck the flute, burning it to a crisp and there Endeavor showed up and this made Phoenix Man stare in surprise, as he never seen a pro hero emitting such high-intensity flames, and this caused him to make a hasty retreat as the Hooded Pitohui birds flocked together to block Endeavor's sight and there Todoroki warned his dad about the birds' toxic abilities.

Endeavor then glanced at the birds, and recognize them as well as realizing what his son meant about avoiding contact with the Hooded Pitohui birds, as the flock are homing in towards the pro hero.

"I see…if any of these birds touched my exposed skin I'd be poisoned, huh?"

"SQUAWK!"

As the Hooded Pitohui birds are about to execute a diving bird strike via a downward strike, Endeavor uses a different variation of the FlashFire fist strike and the Hooded Pitohui birds were steadily being roasted alive, as one by one the burnt birds fell towards the ground as more Hooded Pitohui birds are ready for a kamikaze assault, and there Endeavor told Todoroki and Bakugo to take Hawks towards the nearest hospital to have the Winged Hero get first aid treatment while he will deal with the birds.

The two UA students reluctantly did as told as they took the poisoned Hawks away as Endeavor dealt with the remaining Hooded Pitohui birds until no more remained, and he commences in searching for Phoenix Man, who already fled and got a headstart, ensuring his escape.

Meanwhile, Mera and the HPSC agents are safe, alongside Wash, Fukidashi and Koda as the birds that Phoenix Man summoned earlier are on the ground, sedated, as Midnight came as she happened to pass by the area and seeing the situation, she uses her Somnambulist Quirk which rendered the possessed attacking birds to sleep, thus saving everyone inside.

By then Koda was freed from the Quirk-blocking device and Mera sincerely apologize to Koda for what happened as the rogue agents of the HPSC are being taken away and would be subjected to disciplinary sanctions for what they did, and the heroes and interns began to assist in collecting the sedated birds and put them in cages as a preventive measure.

Within 30 minutes Endeavor reported that Phoenix Man escaped and that he will continue the search, while Todoroki said that Hawks' was given the anti-toxin and would spend the day at the hospital before being discharged, and soon it was back to normal in the streets.

Hope you liked this chapter, as things got a little violent due to the bird attacks, and here different types of dangerous birds appeared, which hero Agency teams appeared alongside their interns, which included Endeavor, Hawks and Ryukyu, and though they managed to halt the bird attacks, Phoenix Man managed to escape, yet all is well and the Winged Warrior arc concluded.
