They weren't allowed to see each other until the wedding. If they had to send a message to the other, they would send a messenger.

Brook and Jayden both took baths before their wedding. It was so rare for the gargoyles to bathe, but the whole clan did too. The wedding would take place at around eleven so there was plenty of time for hair to dry.

For Jayden, after her bath, Angela did as promised: she folded her hair into a ponytail and bun while getting the veil into the curl too. There were some barrettes put in it too. All of her hair was pulled back, but she didn't want it too tight that it would give her a headache.

Her dress was white. It complimented her golden hair. The gown length wasn't too long past her feet though. She didn't want it dragging on the ground. But it did hide her feet.

Her parents came in to see how she was doing. They told her she looked so beautiful. They were proud of her and her decision. Joshua stayed in the room with her as he was walking her down the aisle.

All her bridesmaids were in a different room, but they had seen how she looked, and she looked gorgeous to them.

For Brooklyn, after his bath, his hair needed to be brushed and straightened out. It took a lot of detangler spray to help get it looking smooth and silky. He winced when the brush would pull on a tangle. Some tangles had to be cut out too, but his hair was still maintained at its usual length.

He was just wearing a black tux for a man that was changed about so it would fit around his wings. Brooklyn folded his wings down to where his wing hands were just on his shoulders instead of folded over his chest like he normally did.

His brothers were in the room with him. "Ready to become a mated male?" Broadway asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I am. I'm ready to say goodbye to my single days. I won't miss those at all." Brook replied.

"Getting butterflies here?" Lex teased playfully, poking Brooklyn's stomach.

"No, I'm fine, Lex. I just want to see my beloved." Brook said, rubbing his belly.

"You glad to not be doing this while you were pregnant?" Broadway asked.

"I would much rather it be done this way even if I had met Jayden back then. The kids get to be a part of the wedding too." Brook stated. He definitely didn't want to imagine himself in a tux when he had had a big belly. This was so much better.

"Yep." Lex agreed.

Soon, it was time for everything to start. Goliath came and got Brooklyn.

The guests were all seated in the courtyard. Jayden's mom, Elisa's parents and sister, Matt, the Labyrinth Clan of mutates and clones, Dave and Bobbi, Hudson, Robbins, and the Xanatos'. Owen was playing the music. It was just traditional wedding music. Everyone looked really nice.

Goliath and Brooklyn went first to the alter. Broadway went next to stand next to his brother.

Brooklyn didn't want to let on that he was nervous about this occasion. All eyes were on him as the groom. He was just looking forward to seeing how beautiful Jayden looked. He hadn't seen her since last night for a brief time.

Butterflies fluttered in his stomach and his heart was racing. "Try to take deep breaths, Brooklyn." Goliath said softly. The red male nodded in reply.

Elisa then walked up the aisle in her Maid of Honor gown. It was a yellow dress. Goliath smiled at her upon her looking joyously at him in return. They would do this too one day.

Angela then proceeded to walk Sienna down the aisle as the Flower Girl, holding Sienna in one arm, and a basket of flowers on that same arm while throwing flowers everywhere. Brooklyn smiled at her for doing his daughter's job. Broadway also smiled at her. Both girls were beautiful to the two males, but Brook's eyes were for another.

Lexington then walked Kenji down the aisle as the Ring Bearer. He had the rings on a pillow. Brooklyn was going to wear a wedding ring too.

Then it was time for the bride. The guests all stood up for that.

Jayden was really nervous as she knew that everyone's eyes would be on her. She didn't think her wedding day would come so soon but it had. Her birthday had been a month ago and she was officially 25 now. She was old enough for this wedding to take place.

Joshua was walking her down the aisle as promised. Jayden felt a little more comfortable since her dad was able to give her away on this most special of nights. Joshua still didn't feel ready to give his little girl away, but he knew he had to let go.

Jayden smiled at her guests, and they smiled back, but her eyes were for the one male that mattered to her in all the world. The red gargoyle up at the altar, smiling back at her.

To Brooklyn, seeing his bride coming was just worth it to just want to run to her and make love to her, but he knew he had to keep his intentions in control. He swallowed hard.

Jayden was soon able to get her arm into Brooklyn's and she let go of Joshua's arm, him kissing her. "Thanks, Dad." She said.

"Go on." Joshua declared, then he took his seat next to Gloria.

All the babies that were there were all quiet and that was nice.

Brooklyn and Jayden went to stand before Goliath as their leader. They each held each other's hands as Elisa took Jayden's flower bouquet of yellow roses.

Goliath then cleared his throat and the music stopped. "Tonight, we begin a special journey for these two gathered in front of me, Goliath of the Manhattan Clan, to bless their union as a newly mated couple. Brooklyn, Second in Command of the Manhattan Clan, and Jayden Wilkinson. I bless your union as your leader. You may give your own vows as you wish." Goliath gave the blessing.

The couple had thought of their own special vows. Brooklyn went first. Lex went up to him and he gave his brother Jayden's ring. He took it before he started, "I, Brooklyn of the Manhattan Clan, take you, Jayden, to be my mate, now and forever. I vow to always take care of you and be there for you. To always light your way as you will mine." He said his vow. He didn't want a long vow. He slid the ring onto Jayden's finger on her left hand.

Then it was Jayden's turn. Angela gave her Brook's ring. She put it to Brook's middle finger since he didn't have a fifth finger. "I, Jayden, former rockstar, take you, Brooklyn, to be my mate, now and forever. I vow to always love, honor, and cherish you from this day forward. You are my best friend and greatest strength. I will light your way as you will mine." Jayden did her wedding vow and pushed her ring onto Brook's talon finger. She had tears in her eyes as she gazed into his.

Brooklyn was proud of her vow to him. He wished he had added more onto his vow, but he didn't know what else to say. His voice was just stuck in his throat right at the moment.

"I now pronounce you official mates in the eyes of the clan and our guests." Goliath announced. "You may now kiss."

Brooklyn and Jayden couldn't hold out anymore and gladly took the time to kiss in front of their guests. The guests then clapped and cheered for them.

"Now it is time for the Mating Flight." Goliath declared.

Jayden was a little nervous about that, but she had been told that mating didn't take place during it; it was just a glide that the couple did to officially announce themselves as mates. They both got up to the tallest tower and side by side, hand in hand, Brook and Jayden took off from the tower.

They flew over Central Park and over the East Village. But they didn't want to be gone too long as they also wanted to have a good time with their guests this night too. They would have plenty of time for themselves later. There were some acrobatics performed in the air and a game of chase, Brooklyn chasing Jayden to prove what they had. Everything that they knew of in the air was done.

Soon, they returned to the castle and their guests. From there, it was time for the dancing to begin. They had a dance and there were couples dancing and having a good time. Males danced with the bride and females danced with the groom.

After that, it was time for the wedding cake and dinner. A piece was cut off the cake and shared by Brook and Jayden. They each gave each other a piece into their mouths, celebrating their union.

Eating and dancing continued throughout the night until it was around four in the morning. Now it was time for the couple to go to their designated honeymoon suite up at Xanadu for two weeks. David would be flying them there. Brooklyn had changed into his loincloth prior to leaving too.

Brook and Jayden said goodbye to the clan, their parents, guests, and the twins. They needed time to themselves as a couple. Now that Sienna and Kenji were older, they didn't need to be with them constantly. The clan would take good care of them while they were gone.

Brooklyn kissed them both goodbye and nuzzled them. "You both be good for your uncles and aunt. I love you two so much." He said.

"Love you sweeties, too. I'm now your new mommy, but your daddy and I have to spend time together for a little while. Be back soon." Jayden added on.

"Time to go, guys before sunrise." David proclaimed.

"Yeah, we're coming." Brook said.

"Have fun, you two!" A lot of the guests told them. There were hugs and kisses given to them too, especially Jayden to her parents.

It was hard to leave the party, but they had to go. They were soon on their way to Xanadu.

...

They were dropped off at Xanadu just prior to sunrise. Brooklyn was outside turned to stone while David and Jayden brought in some gifts, food, and clothes for them.

"Now, just don't make a mess of things up here. I still use this place for getaways too." David said.

"I promise we'll be careful." Jayden said.

"Have fun tonight. Sorry we didn't make it in time for you to have more fun." David said as he was leaving.

"It's okay. At least you got us here before it was Brooklyn's time to go to sleep. Make sure our kids are okay while we're gone." Jayden stated.

"Of course. I'm sure the clan will take very good care of them." David replied. "Now you're on your own." Then he went to his copter and left the area.

"Sleep well, my Love. I'll see you tonight and we can continue having our fun." Jayden said to the stone Brooklyn, kissing him, then went inside to sleep in a bed. She was excited for tonight.

...

The clan and guests all wished Brooklyn and Jayden a good time on their time away. Gargoyles usually didn't do such a thing as a honeymoon, but Jayden had insisted on it and wanted some time away with Brooklyn so they could bond more without interruptions. That included the kids.

The clan was said to be helping to raise Sienna and Kenji too, so now was a good opportunity for them to put their full parenting skills to the test without Jayden and Brooklyn there. There would need to be at least two adults there to help take care of them when patrols were assigned.

Goliath was mainly wanting to leave the parenting to the younger trio left behind, but he was also wanting to bond with the little ones too, so when he wasn't busy being patrol, and Elisa was with him, they would also take turns taking care of the twins too.

Broadway and Angela also loved taking care of them as a couple, practicing parenting skills.

Lex was capable of handling them on his own, but he also found himself doing it with Hudson too. Bronx was also the ever-watchful gar dog. He was also gentle with the kids. He would give them doggy kisses.

The whole clan took turns while Brooklyn and Jayden were gone, but the twins eventually began to miss Brooklyn and their new mom. They loved the attention they were getting, but they were wanting their daddy back. There were just certain things that he could do that the others couldn't.
