Jayden woke up later that first day in the late afternoon. She was happy to feel refreshed after a long day. This was counting as a vacation to her. She would get back to her childcare duties when she got back to the castle. For now, though, she still had a few restless hours of waiting for her love to wake up.
She went downstairs and had a little snack to quell her rumbling belly. She didn't want to be too full as she wanted to have a meal with Brooklyn in a few hours. Jayden watched some tv while she waited for sunset. It was a long few hours until the sun went down finally. She went outside prior to it.
When the sun was finally down, Brook's stone form started cracking and the eyes lit up and the red male roared to greet the evening. He turned around to be greeted by his new mate.
"Good evening, my Love. I missed you all day." Jayden smiled at him.
"I missed you too. This is our first night as new mates and no one around, right?" he asked.
"Nope."
"So, what do you want to do first?"
Jayden then got a sly playful look on her face. "What do you think?" she asked sarcastically.
"I had a feeling it would be that." Brooklyn replied.
Jayden then ran the short distance and jumped into his arms, desperate to be with him. She instantly started kissing him. "Oh, Brooklyn, I need this desperately." She managed to say.
"I do too." He said. He was also getting into the romance.
She guided him into the cabin. Once inside, Jayden turned off the tv that had been playing. No distractions. Then they went upstairs.
There was a scrambling to get clothes off of themselves. Jayden was too impatient to just let her mate undress her. But she did let him take off her pants. He did the same with her with his loincloth.

Brooklyn knew there was no more getting around it. It was time to claim his queen.

Brooklyn knew he still had some energy. "Are you sure?"

"Okay. But not tonight. Let's just enjoy our first night alone together." Jayden replied.
"Sure."
Jayden used the oven to cook up some potatoes and some chicken and noodles. The potatoes were in a package sealed up, so she didn't have to peel them.
After about an hour, the food was ready. Brooklyn had watched her the entire time. He was impressed she knew how to cook. So it wouldn't be that complicated for her.
"Uh, just one request?" she stated.
"Yeah?"
"When it comes to the hunted animal, I don't do the gutting. I'll do the cooking. Not good with that part." Jayden proclaimed.
"Yeah, I can do that part." Brooklyn replied.
"Good. Well, tonight's food is ready." Jayden announced proudly. "Come and get it."
Brooklyn went to a cupboard and got two big plates out for them both. He went first to get some of his mate's cooking. He definitely wanted to have her cooking. She had never cooked at the castle as Broadway had done it all. Then Jayden got her food.
They both sat side by side at the table, their tails intertwined behind them.
"This is so delicious, Jayden. You're a good cook." Brook complimented her cooking.
"Thanks." Jayden replied.
They both continued eating until they couldn't anymore. They both had two helpings. It sure filled their bellies full.
"So, what do you want to do now?" Brook asked.
"How about a walk in the woods to burn off some calories?" She responded.
"Sure."
The two of them put their plates in the sink and Jayden put some water in the sink to soak. The pan went in the fridge for later leftovers. Then they went outside to go for a walk in the woods just to spend more time together.
"You know, we could see the land a lot better from the air." Brook advised.
"Sure. Let's get some air under our wings. But I do want to walk some trails too while we're here." Jayden said.
"Sure."
They walked for a little while down a trail, holding hands. But eventually, Jayden wanted some more action, and she stopped them to start kissing her mate. He succumbed to her mood, and he kissed her back.
Jayden reached down and touched Brooklyn more on his loincloth, picking at his belt. She growled playfully. Brooklyn got the message and he let her undo it. He also pulled hers down. He was ready again and was soon back inside her for the second time that night.

"Of course." He said as they put their clothes back on after coming down from the mating.
Their bodies were still a little jittery but they both climbed a tree and took to the air anyway, to just explore the land from the air. They stayed within an arm's reach.
They flew over a good portion of the woods until it was getting close to sunrise, then they returned to the cabin. Brooklyn stayed outside. He kissed her good day.
"Perhaps we can try what you suggested in a few days, my Love." Jayden suggested.
"Sure. Do you know what you would want me to catch?"
"How about something small to start." She suggested.
"I'll see what I can do." Brooklyn replied. "Well, have a good sleep." Then the sun came up.
"Good sleep, Brooklyn." Jayden said and went to bed.
When she got upstairs, the bed was literally in shreds in some areas. Their lovemaking had taken a toll on it. Perhaps their mating needed to be outdoors or find some non-shredable sheets. She went to sleep on it anyway.

At the end of the week was when Jayden said to her mate to go do his hunting for her. She began peeling potatoes and carrots for their stew that she would do for the animal that was brought back.
Brooklyn soon returned with a good-sized rabbit. He had gutted it and skinned it. "So, how's this for a catch?" he asked, holding it up.
"Wow! Impressive." Jayden replied. "It'll do."
Jayden then took over. She began cooking it first before pulling off the meat. She knew Brooklyn would be a good provider should they have to be in a survival situation.
Soon, the rabbit was fully cooked, and it was done after two in the morning to enjoy it. Brooklyn and Jayden enjoyed the rabbit stew.
...
The next week, they flew away from the cabin to a nearby beach where they were gliding over the water, walking on the beach, swimming in it, and eventually, also making love in the water too.
There was no getting around it that this was the best time of their lives. No interruptions or responsibilities aside from each other.
Eventually, they had to return to the cabin. On their last night there, they made love again and then ate, then watched a movie.
The next night, David came to get them to take them home.
"How was everything up here?" He asked.
"It was all a breeze. Fun." Jayden replied. She had her clothes ready to go. "Though we might have gotten carried away in bed."
David had to look and saw that it was bad. He would have to replace the bedding. Oh well.
David flew the copter with them in it back to the castle. While doing that, Brooklyn asked, "How were my babies?"
"They were missing their parents the first few nights. But they soon settled down for the others." David replied.
"Well, we're coming back now. I missed them too." Brook stated. "But we both needed this."
"Of course, you did. All couples need time to get their new lives started." David declared.
They were soon back at the castle and the clan was all too happy to greet them. Lex and Angela had Sienna and Kenji in their hands. When their parents got out of the copter, they came up to them.
"These two couldn't wait to see their mommy and daddy again." Angela said happily, handing over Sienna to Brooklyn.
"Good to see you too, Angela, and sweetie." Brook smiled at his daughter. He gave her a hug and kiss. "Missed you, Sienna." The baby laughed at her daddy, seeing him again.
Lex handed Kenji to Jayden. She did the same and Kenji was happy to see her too. They were now a family again.
Then the clan went inside to celebrate their clan mates being back.
"So, how's it feel to be mated, bro?" Broadway patted his brother on the shoulder.
"Wonderful. I'm glad that Jayden chose me to be her mate. She's great with cooking and a great partner." Brooklyn explained.
"Thanks." Jayden replied. "You are a great hunter too."
"Thanks." Brook smiled.
"I already made you a welcome back meal." Broadway said.
"Good. We're starving." Brook declared.
The clan went to dinner and had some more conversations. The most personal details were left out, but they said of some adventures they went on. The beach and in the woods, they had even had picnics. Also about Brooklyn's hunt.
The clan was proud of Brooklyn proving he could be a provider. The gargoyles were living quite the pampered life here in New York and here at the castle. Things were not what they once were in the needs to hunt down prey. They still had animalistic instincts at times.
Then there was a welcome home movie. Jayden and Brook weren't letting their kids out of their sight this night. They would switch the twins up but weren't leaving them alone. They were also feeding them their bottles too.
Sienna and Kenji were just clinging to their parents tonight. They didn't want to not see their parents again anytime soon. It wouldn't happen again for some time.
Brooklyn and Jayden had missed the clan and the castle but had needed the time to get started.

The next night, Brooklyn started up patrolling again. Jayden stayed at home to mind the kids. This was the first time they were separated for duties in over two weeks.
But when he and Lex returned later, Brook and Jayden had a reunion and went on a joy glide around the city, as a date. Eventually, on a high building, they got carried away and made love there too. They just couldn't get enough of each other. But they made sure to try to keep their voices down.
Eventually, they returned home to just be together.
I wanted to write a little less seen making love scenes, but it got to be just too intense. Couldn't resist. Sorry. But hope it was a nice chapter.
