Saturday morning it was only Paige and Ralph who was holding Megan in his arms , who greeted Louise and Sean for their video call .

" Good morning Paige , Ralph and you little sweetie Megan . But no Walter . " Louise asked with a little surprise in her voice .

" Good morning Louise , Sean . Sorry but Walter had to be at his house by 9.00am foday , we are having some work done on the house and he needed to be there to let Sam in . She is the one putting all the electrical work in the loft for a computer room for Walter and Ralph and a small movie theater for me . " Paige told them a big smile on her face .

Sean looked a little surprised . "Why would you need a computer room , laptops are only small . "

Ralph looked at Paige , before he began to speak . " We have removed all the computers from the garage , so we need a seperate room to fit them all in . "

Sean gave a little laugh . " I should have known , the pair of you are computer mad . I still struggle to switch this laptop on , that's why Louise is always on screen first . "

" Never mind grandpa , when you come over i can give you a few lessons if you like . " Ralph explained to him .

" I am not sure i would understand the first thing about them . i can tell the difference between all my sheep and cattle , but a computer keyboard , you may as well be speaking Russian to me . "

This caused both Paige and Ralph to laugh , which started Megan to giggle . Louise was more interested in hearing all about Paige's movie theater . When Paige told her about the auction they had been to and what they had bought , it bought a big smile to Louise's face .

"That sounds really exciting , i hope one day soon we will be able and come over to the States and be able to see them . But more importent i would love to do some cooking in that magnificent kitchen you have told us about . "

Paige just smiled and said nothing, She knew the decision as to when they would be invited over was going to be totally up to Walter .

Megan became a little restless in Ralph's arms and uttered Gpa, Gmo , Ralph moved her in his arms so she was facing the screen and she reached out towards the screen . The conversation lasted almost a hour before everyone said their goodbyes .

Meanwhile at Walter's house .

Walter arrived at the house just before 9.00am but Sam's car was already on the drive Walter pulled up alongside her . Sam was out of the car before Walter and walked around to the driver's side of his car .

" Morning boss , the traffic was lighter than i expected this morning , so it did not take me as long as i expected . "

Walter got out of the car . " Good morning , good to see you so keen to begin the work . " A smiling Walter said .

" Could you give me a hand to unload some of the gear out of my car? " Sam asked him with a small smile on her face .

" Of Course do you want to take it all up to the loft ? " Walter asked .

" All except the armoured cable , could we put that in the garage until i need it . " Sam asked .

" Of course , let me go and unlock the garage door and we can put it straight in there . " Walter suggested .

They removed the armoured cable from the car and carried it to the garage . Sam saw the seats . " Paige as made a good job of those chairs . She must have worked hard , you can hardly see were the rips in the chair were . " Sam told Walter a smile on her face .

" Yes she told me it took over three hours to repair the rips in the seats . She still wants to do one more procedure to them , if they are dry , to try and make them look like a velvet finish . Apparently she saw the procedure carried out on the internet . " A proud Walter told her.

Once they had put the cable in the garage , they emptied the rest of the items out of the car . As the walls in the loft are just boaded out with plasterboard so all the cables that would be needed , would be ran through plastic trunking . Sam had bought a large amount , each about about four feet long . She explained she could have bought longer , but due to restrictions with the size of her car , she chose to use the shorter ones . It took them about ten minutes to move all the items up to the loft .

Walter told Sam , he was going to be in the garage if she needed anything , as he wanted to check out the other items Paige had bought at the auction .

Walter first checked out the popcorn machine and was surprised it lit up as soon as he plugged it in . He then checked the coin mechanizim , that worked as well . The whole thing was very dirty , so until it was cleaned and safe to see if it still would pop the corn . Paige had already said she would clean it , so he put it to one side until Paige could clean it .

By the time he had finished with the popcorn machine , he saw Mark pull up on the drive in his van , Walter walked out of the garage to meet him .

" Good morning Mark , i hope you have got everything you need ? "

" Good morning Walter , yes , but i think we may have a problem ? "

" Problem ? i don't understand , i thought everything had gone well . " A somewhat confused Walter asked .

" It was not until i had made up the wall , there was not much light in there , even when i put two windows in it will still be dark . " Mark explained .

Before Walter could answer Mark , the passenger door of the van opened and Owen jumped out and ran to Walter and put his arms around Walter's waist . Although shocked , Walter accepted the hug and even returned it , something he would never have done before Megan came into his life .

" Owen it is good to see you , you have certainly grown since the last time i saw you . "

" Aunty Sue phoned me last night and told me Paige had said it would be alright if i came with Ucle Mark so i could say thank you again for what you did that Christmas Eve and could meet Ralph . "

" Well Paige , Ralph and our young daughter Megan will be here soon . but would you mind if your Uncle finishes telling me about the problem he thinks we have . " Walter quietly told him .

" I am sorry Walter , Uncle Mark told me to wait in the van until he called me over . But i was so excited to meet you again . " A very excited Owen told him '

" Thats alright , once i have finished with your Uncle , we can have a good talk , ok with that ?" A smiling Walter told him .

Owen released Walter a big smile on his face . " Yes please . "

Walter turned to Mark . " I must admit i did not think of that . Sam is upstairs in the loft , we should go talk to her i am sure she will come up with an idea . "

" Ok i will just get my gear out of the van . Do you want to help me Owen . "

Between the three of them they managed to get all the items up to the nursery room in one visit . Once up there Walter called Sam down from the loft and explained the problem to her .

" Let me go take a look . " Sam told him ., then followed Walter to see Mark . After introducing her to Owen she began to look things over .

It was then Walter heard his name being called by Paige . He walked to the top of the stairs and shouted down . " We are up here . "

Paige , carring Megan in her car seat and Ralph climbed the stairs . " Hello my love . " Paige said as she walked through the bedroom door , she walked across to Walter and kissed him , immediatly Megan began uttering Da, Da . Walter reached down to the car seat and gently removed Megan and cuddled her in his arms . Megan looked up into Walter's face a big smile on her face and uttered Da , Da.

Paige had just noticed Owen standing in the corner of the room . She walked over to him and hugged him . " It is good to see you again , you have certainly grown since we last saw you , come on over and meet Ralph and Megan . "

Owen seemed a little embarresed by the hug and his face went a little red .

But managed to say . " Ok . "

Paige stopped by Walter . " This is Megan , i have to admit she is a real Daddy's girl , as you may have noticed . Put your hand out gently towards her . "

Owen looked at Paige . " Go on she won't bite . "

Owen still was hesitant but he eventually put his hand out towards Megan , as she felt safe in Walter's arms , she did not push back , but looked up at his face . " It is alright princess . " She reached out and held onto Owens little finger, which bought a smile to his face .

" Hello Megan , my name is Owen and i am only here today because of the bravery of your daddy . "

Megan smiled and uttered , Da, Da, , then released his finger .

By now Ralph had joined them . " Hello Owen i'm Ralph , do you want to go exploring while the adults try and solve the problem ? "

Owen looked at both Mark and Walter , who answered first . " Go and have some fun ,we can talk later . "

Owen turned to Ralph . " Ok ,lets go . "

At that Ralph and Owen left the bedroom .

Sam had checked everyting out and approached Walter . " It is very dark in there , the problem could be getting cables in for a ceiling light , the loft area is blocked up by the walls of the two rooms i am working on . I can put up a couple of wall lights and run them off ' one of the two wall sockets that are in there already . I will have to use trunking because to chase the wall , will cause to much repair work to do , if it is being decorated this week , i would suggest using LED lights . These do not pull so much power so we could maybe run around the top of the walls a LED rope which changes colour , they can be very soothing , but that i would put up once the painting is finished and properly dried out .

The wall lights i can run the wiring to were i would fit them , then again fit the actual light and connect the power , once the decorating is completed , so we do not delay the decorators . I assume Paige will want to choose the lights , i am willing to go with her and advise what type to choose , but design would be up to you Paige , it is your house . "

Paige went to say something , but Walter butted in . " Remember what we said the other day ."

" Well it is our house , but i would like to choose the design , as Walter has insisted he has no real idea or interest in interior design . " Paige looked at Walter . " You would look after Megan and Ralph if we two went shopping ? "

" Of course , but if you use cable and trunking on the nursery , will you need to buy more ? " Walter asked Sam .

" I think i should have enough . But i do think i had better do this room first . "

Paige looked at Walter . " But that could delay both the movie theater and computer room . "

" I know that but we have the decorators for a week so if Sam does cause some damage to the walls , it can be repaired before the paihting is done . " Walter reminded her .

" Yes you are correct , ok Sam do what you think best " Paige told Sam .

" I think we can leave fetching the acutal lights for another time as Sam does not need them yet , i think the cable work is more importent . Paige said .

" We will leave Sam and Mark to get on with what they are doing . If you need us , you will find us in the kitchen or garage . " Walter told them .

Ralph showed Owen around upstairs , explaining which each room was going to become , he left the loft rooms until last .

" You actually found these rooms by chance ? " Owen asked Ralph .

" Well sort of dad worked out something was wrong , so we came to the bedroom and began checking out the walls . The side your Uncle Mark took down , was were we checked first , but until mom joined us , we had no luck , she found a secret door in the side wall . I ran to the wall oppersite and found another door which opened onto a double staircase . Come on lets check the the two rooms out . They should be open as Sam is working up there . "

" Wow what a place . " Owen said as he walked through the door .

" Yes this is going to be mine and dad's computer room . Mom is having the other room turned into a movie theater . " Ralph told him .

" That sounds exciting , but why would you need such a big room for your computers . " Owen asked .

" Maybe i should show you the garage , then you would understand . " Ralph told him a big smile on his face .

Owen by now was even more curious , but followed Ralph down the stairs and out to the garage by the door in the house .

Both were surprised to see Walter ,Paige and Megan already there .

Megan shouted Ral Ral as soon as she saw him .

" Hello you two , fed up of exploring already ? " A smiling Walter asked .

" No it is just that Owen wanted to know why we needed a big room for our computers . So i thought it easier to show him rather than trying to explain it . " Ralph explained .

" Good idea Ralph , you can help in here if you like , once you have shown Owen what you wanted to . Or go and explore and explore the jungle . "

Owen again looked confused . " The jungle ? "

Ralph gave a laugh . " The back garden , no one as done any work on it for over five years . "

Owen smiled . " i think i would prefer to help out in here , that is if you don't mind Ralph . "

" No of course not , but let me show you why we need such a room for the computers . Ralph said to Owen as he led him to the back of the garage .

Owen's mouth dropped when he saw all the computers stacked at the back of the garage .
" You have more computers in here than a computer shop . Some i would not even recognize as a computer . "

Ralph a big grin on his face . " These are very special computers , built by my dad , they were often needed when they were helping Homeland on cases . "

Once again Owen looked shocked . " Your dad worked with Homeland ? "

A proud Ralph answereed . " Yes , mom as well , but they will not talk about because they had to sign the secrets act . In fact they have just finished a job for Homeland , that i worked on with dad . "

Owen just stood there not saying a word but looking at Ralph in disbelieve .

" Come on lets go see what dad wants us to do . " Ralph told Owen .

Owen followed Ralph back to Walter and Paige , the look on his face one of total admiration

" Hi Ralph , you ok Owen ? " Walter asked .

All Owen could do was nod his head .

" What do you want us to do dad ? " Ralph asked .

" I have checked the popcorn machine , it lights up and the coin mechanism work as well , but until it has been given a good clean inside and out , it can't be checked to see if the heater works and will pop the corn . " Walter explained .

" Ok dad , i think hot soapy water should do the trick , we can get a couple of bowls from the kitchen , have you got any sponges ? "

" I think you will find a couple down the back of the garages by the computers and also a couple of plastic buckets , use them rather than bowls from the house . " Walter told him .

Paige who was listening while brushing the movie seats to try and raise the nap on the material . " Be careful , try not to remove any paint off the outside .

" Ok mom ,come on Own . "

Five minutes later they were back , buckets and sponges in hand . Between them they managed to move the machine away from were Paige and Walter were working and began on the cleaning off the popcorn machine .

After about a hour Paige had brushed all seats and was pleased with the result .

She looked across to Walter who was still working on the fridge . " Do you want lunch ? "

Walter looked up . " Yes have you bought anything ? "

" No i thought one of us could fetch some pizza . " Paige replied .

" Ok , i will go , I'll bring a couple of xtra large sized plus fries and garlic bread , in case Mark and Sam want to eat with us . "

Paige walked over to him kissed him on the lips . " Thank you , i will put a fresh pot of coffee on . "

" Ralph , Owen , i am going for pizza. Do you want to come ? "

Ralph looked at Owen , who nodded his head . " Yes please dad . "

Walter gave Paige another kiss and called Ralph and Owen over , as he did Megan shouted Da, Da, Walter walked over to her . " I will be back in a while , we are going to fetch some french fries . " As he told her this she made a fist and put it to her mouth .

" Yes princess . " Walter told her .

This caused Megan to smile and utter Da , Da , again .

Paige turned to Walter . " Why not take her with you , give her a break from the garage . I am sure Ralph will sit in the back with her , when you go for the pizza . "

" Of course i will sit with her and i can tell her a story . " Ralph said .

With that Walter picked up the car seat and began to walk out of the garage . " Come on lads ." Ralph and Owen followed .

While they were away Paige applied a coating of bee's wax polish to the wooden handles , which she then left to dry . She would come back after lunch and hopefully , they should shine up once she polished them up with a dry cloth , but all the patina should be retained .

Owen had travelled in the front of Walter's Range Rover , but kept turning around in his seat fasinated at how Megan held onto Ralph's little finger all the time he was telling her a story that involved their mom and dad .

The Pizza palour was not that far away from Walter's house . So fourty minutes after leaving the house , Walter was pulling his Range Rover back on the drive .

" Can you two grab the food , while i see to Megan . " Walter asked .

" Of course dad . " Ralph answered .

The two boys carried the food in and Walter dealt with Megan . Paige met him at the kitchen door and gave him a kiss . " I will go and see if Mark and Sam want to join us . "

Paige was back a few minutes later . " Both wil be down in a couple of minutes . " Paige said as she went to the cupboard and fetched extra plates and cups .

After lunch they all went back to their work .

At 4.00pm Mark came down to say he had finished and asked if they would like to come upstairs and check on his work . Sam had done as much as she could in the nursery but had gone back to the loft to do a little bit more work '

Walter went to pick Megan up , but heard a low purring , she had fallen asleep .

He called Ralph over in a low voice . " Do you mind staying with Megan while we go check out upstairs ? "

" Of course dad . "

" Do you mind if i stop Ralph ? " Owen asked .

" Of course not . " Ralph replied .

Paige and Walter followed Mark upstairs . Paige took one look at his work . " It is beautiful i am sure once Sam connects the lights and Sue and her team decorate it , there will not be a better nursery then bedroom for a little princess . "

" Just how much do we owe you Mark ? " Walter asked .

" Well i originally said $300 , it cost me $60 for materials today , so $360 ,but don't worry about that i will give Sue the invoice and you can send me a cheque . I like to keep my books straight , even if they are favours for family . I either don't charge them or invoice them . " Mark told him a big smile on his face .

" Fair enough . " Walter told him then added . " It is a good job , i think we may have some more work once we move in , would you be interested ? "

" I certainly would , it is not everyday one gets to work for heroes " Mark told him as he looked at both Walter and Paige .

" We are not hero's , just people who seemed to be in the right place at the right time , but thank you . " Paige told him .

" You will always be heroes in my eyes , if you and your team had not been there on the beach that day , we would not have Owen in our lives today . "

Both Paige and Walter just smiled . While they were up there they stopped at the loft to check on Sam .

When they got up to the loft , Sam was packing up for the day . " Hi folks , just packing up for the day . I think i may need to buy a few more items , i used more cable and trunking in the nursery than i first thought . The wholesaler i use does not open until 10.00am tomorrow as it is Sunday . So it will be about 11.00am before i get here tomorrow , but i think i should get it finished tomorrow ,except for connecting to the mains supply . "

" No worries , maybe i can help tomorrow . Paige and Ralph can carry on with the work left to do in the garage . " Walter told her .

They all went down to the kitchen , Mark and Owen said their goodbye's . Owen had not had much chance to have a conversation with Walter , but he had one of the best day's in a long time and he had made a new friend in Ralph .

Paige suggested , Sam should join them for an evening meal , it would be a takeaway as Paige would not have time to prepare anything .

Sam after a little hesitation was more than happy to say yes . Paige was more than happy how the movie seats had turned out and Owen and Ralph had done a good job cleaning the popcorn machine , but until it had dried out completly they could not try it out .

Megan was still asleep in her car seat whe Paige fitted it back in her car . They went back to Paige' condo in a mini convoy of three cars .

Guest ( is that you Pearliegirl in disguise ? ) At the moment the Cyclone story is only 6 chapters , you do realize as i only post once a week that would take two years to the finish .

Definatly not but i do love to watch fix up programes .

As you have read the chapter , i presume , you will see how Owen as been accepted into the Dineen / O'Brian clan .

DaToad . No twist , just an easy going tale from now on . Richard as tried so hard to get Walter to work for him , he will do almost everything to make sure he stays . Walter watches Megan to close when she eats just to keep her safe , although more seems to go on her bib or Walter than she manages to eat . Walter as said he as been christened a few times but did not want them reported , he did say Megan laughs and kicks her legs about a lot when she does . LOL .
