After a long and hard journey to gather the Seven Emblem Bracelet together, taking a slight detour along the way, the Hero Alliance had finally opened the gateway to Alear's homeland to take her back. Once they made it through, they were finally able to gaze upon with their own eyes, the continent that Alear calls home: Elyos.
Elyos was a continent divided into five separate regions, the fifth being an island in the continent's center. The other four regions had a different climate and ecosystem, a mountainous region in the northwest, a vibrant land filled with life in the southwest, a snow-covered landscape in the northeast, and a vast desert in the southeast.
"In a way, it feels like we're back in Erion." Baril said.
"Your home is beautiful, Alear. You never told us it was like this." Scorpia said.
"Well….I WAS asleep for a thousand years and I don't remember anything after I woke up. So this is my first time seeing Elyos for myself." Alear mentioned.
"Considering the circumstances, it's not surprising that it turned out that way." Kareem said.
"So, where exactly are we supposed to return Alear?" Ethox asked.
"I'm thinking the island in the center of the ocean circled by the other regions is the best bet." Hilda said.
"You are correct. That island is Lythos, the island kingdom overseen by Queen Lumera, the Divine Dragon Monarch." Marth said. "We should land there and disembark. I'm sure Lumera has been worried sick ever since Alear was abducted by Theodore."
"Right. Let's go." Roy said.
The Galaxy King flew straight to Lythos, preparing to land as the alliance was ready to disembark with Alear.
"Alright, remember everyone: this is technically first contact." Double D said. "As such, we should approach this with tact, courtesy, and no small amount of charisma."
"Got it. Don't spout the first thing that comes to our heads. We got it. Well, most of us do anyway." David said.
"Splendid." Double D nodded. "Now, I suggest-"
It was at that moment that Ed slammed the door open using his head. "Knock-knock! Hehehe, we are here!" he announced cheerfully.
"Ed! That was the fifth door on the King, for Pete's sake!" Miu said.
"So much for being polite." Maria sweatdropped.
Chris facepalmed. "Baka."
"Hey, everybody!" Eddy shouted for all nearby to hear. "We brought your dragon back!" he declared, taking Alear by the arm and dragging her outside. "No need to thank us or throw money or anything!"
"Every time…" Mark sighed, shaking his head.
"I am really starting to question his intelligence." Laura B. muttered in annoyance.
Laura A. perked her head up as she sensed something. "Everyone, on your guard!"
"What's wrong, Laura?" Gohan asked.
Just then, strange humanoid beings appeared, they appeared in black clothing with pale skin and cracks on their bodies emitting a red hue along with strange helmets that only had one glowing red dot on the center as they were wielding various weapons.
"Undead." Laura A. said.
"Enemies already, dess?!" Kirika exclaimed.
"Seriously?!" Lingyin groaned while summoning her IS. "We just got here and there's already something like this happening!"
"This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't announced Alear was here at the top of your lungs, Eddy." Mermista said.
"Calm down. These enemies look pretty weak. They shouldn't be all that troublesome." David said.
"Yeah, we'll clean up in no time." Ajna said.
"Oh, and Alear? Do me a favor and don't run away. We're fighting together." Geiz said.
"Don't worry." Alear replied, drawing her sword. "After everything we've been through together, there's no way I'm running away."
"That's what I wanna hear." Geiz grinned, summoning his Zikan Zax Ono Mode. "Leave the spear users to me, you go and deal with the axe users."
"Let's dance boys!" Simon said to the enemies.
Thus, the heroes engaged the creatures, the undead beings putting up the best offense they could…which wasn't much.
"You asked for it!" Hapi said, casting Banshee Theta on one of them, dealing more damage than normal.
"What are these things?" Riolu said as he attacked a few with Force Palm.
"They look undead but…they aren't rotting like the usual zombies." Theo said.
"That is because they are not the undead." a voice said as riding on horseback was a man clad in armor as he swung his axe to cut them down.
"Whoa…new guy." Ethox said.
"I don't know what you all are or why you are here but…" he said before seeing Alear. "Oh…you are back, and awake! I am pleased that you have returned to us, Divine Dragon." he said as he bowed.
"Thank you. I apologize if my…disappearance has startled you." Alear said.
"We've been beside ourselves ever since that villain appeared one day and abducted you from the Somniel." he said.
"Yeah well…we kicked his ass for you." Dan said.
"It was no big deal Mr…" Jexi said.
"Forgive me. My name is Vander. I'm the 32nd Steward of the Divine Dragon, protectors of the Divine Dragons." he said.
"Pleasure to meet you, Vander." Adora said, cutting down an Axe-wielding warrior with her sword.
"Likewise. I truly thank you all for returning the Divine One home safely. Queen Lumera will be relieved to know she has returned." Vander said.
"We're glad that we were able to help bring her home." Roy said, slicing through another warrior. "But these creatures, you say they aren't undead. What are they?"
"These are the Corrupted. Pawns of the Fell Dragons." Vander said.
"They show up here often?" Hitomi asked, clawing another.
"No. There haven't been any sightings for over 1000 years." Vander said.
"1000 years? Just like what Raine and Cheetah told us. But does that mean the Fell Dragon is back?" David asked as he shot up another Corrupted.
"Considering what's going on right now, it seems to be the case!" Zi-O answered, slicing another Corrupted in half with his Zikan Gilade Ken Mode.
"That looks like all of them. You can come out now." Vander called out as emerging from hiding came a gray-haired boy in green as well as a girl in pink as they ran over to Alear.
"We are very happy to see you back once more, Divine Dragon." they both said.
"These two are Clanne and Framme. They are the 33rd Stewards of the Dragon." Vander said.
"They both are?" Angelo asked.
"We're twins! So technically, the title belongs to both of us at the same time." Framme said.
"That kinda makes sense." Klonoa said.
"I can't believe the Divine Dragon is back…. I thought we lost you forever when that guy came to the Somniel, attacked everyone and ran off with you." Clanne said.
"Okay, just what exactly did he do?" Jexi asked.
"I shall explain as we make our way to the queen." Vander said. "You see, for a long time, we've lived peacefully between the other nations. However, a visitor from beyond our world soon appeared here in Lythos. He spotted Queen Lumera and quickly started asking if he could take her with him for some groundbreaking experiments. Of course, he was turned down. But that didn't stop him. He found his way to the Somniel and discovered her daughter, the Divine Dragon Alear. He attacked us with weapons we had never seen before and ran off with her through a portal, never to be seen again. We thought she was lost for good until today."
"Yeah. We know. She was held in one of his weapons factories. We were working on another mission that related to him. We freed her and then kicked his ass and got him locked up." Dan said.
"She didn't awake until after we found out what she was. Since then, we worked tirelessly to find her way back. As the ones who saved her, we got our closest friends in on this and risked it all to bring her back." Jexi said.
"It was the least we can do." David said with a salute.
"Wow, that's amazing! Thanks so much, really!" Clanne said. "Queen Lumera's gonna be so happy when we reach Lythos Castle!"
"I'm sure she'll want to thank all of you personally. This is a really big deal!" Framme said.
"To be technical, it was the Dimensional Heroes who saved her to begin with." Theo said. "We all just went along after them."
"In all honestly, the whole thing was just one big coincidence." Lan said.
"Incredible. They saved her even not knowing who she was. That will definitely be part of her legend." Clanne said.
"Wow…these people are obsessed with her." Zenitsu whispered.
"...My god, don't tell me I was right about Alear being the only sane one here." Emo whispered.
"Emo, be nice. It's too soon to tell." Mark replied sternly.
"Hm?" Fu Hua began to sense something off, making her turn around. "...I think we missed a few more."
And true to her word, more of the Corrupted showed up, heading straight for the group.
Aile in her Model ZX armor sighed, taking out her ZX-Saber. "Looks like these guys won't quit."
"Could you please leave us alone for more than 30 minutes?! We're trying to get to the castle here!" Paimon muttered.
"I don't think they can hear you, Paimon." Aether sweatdropped as he and Lumine summoned their swords.
Just then a roar was heard as a large white-blue dragon was seen flying above the group before energy gathered in its mouth as it fired down a blue beam at the group of Corrupted, destroying them before descending as it glowed brightly before the light died down as floating down was a woman with long sapphire blue hair in a royal white dress with a golden vestment over it and a golden tiara on her head.
"At last. You have returned." the woman said to Alear.
"(It's her… Queen Lumera.)" Zi-O thought while staring at the woman.
"Is it really you, Alear?" Queen Lumera asked.
Alear didn't know who Lumera was… but she smiled anyway, now knowing that she was her mother and that she had returned after her abduction, likely worrying her sick.
"Yes. It's me, Mother. I'm back. I'm home." Alear responded as Lumera hugged her.
"You're back…I am so glad. I was so scared when you were abducted but…now you've returned." Lumera said with glee.
"She has indeed, Your Highness. And these people, the Dimensional Heroes and their allies, rescued her, and braved many dangers, all to retrieve the means of returning her to us." Vander said, motioning to the Dimensional Heroes.
"Uh…hi." Jexi said as he and the other DH members waved.
"Ah…such strong heroic hearts. Thank you for saving and returning my daughter." Lumera said.
"It was no trouble at all, your highness." Sunset said.
"Just doing our job, your highness. We're just a passing-through Alliance and Rebellion." Zi-O bowed.
"So…you are my mother?" Alear asked Lumera.
"Wait…do you not…" Lumera said.
"She doesn't really remember much except her name. Seems 1000 years of sleep has done a number to her memory." Cheetah said.
"I see. Having her back is all I could ever ask for." Lumera said.
"Glad we could reunite you both. Like we said, just doin' our jobs." Connor said.
"The journey you have all taken to return my daughter home was no doubt a hard one. You deserve a chance to rest. Please, you are all welcome guests here. We can continue our conversation later." Lumera said.
"Thank you, your Grace." Ace said.
"Let's hurry to the castle before more of those Corrupted show up." Himeko stated. "It's not safe here."
"We shall be fine." Lumera said as the group headed off to the castle where they could rest and recover.
