"Hey Jimmy. I didn't know you were selling your house." Carl remarked.

This day had started like any other. Jimmy, Carl and Sheen were in the midst of their playful bout with each other. Jimmy and Sheen had teamed up against Carl who was posing as the "Tofunator". While they played around, they all crashed and laughed it off. This changed the moment Carl uttered that sentence. Jimmy looked up and saw the sign. Maybe we hit our heads, so now we're seeing things, Jimmy briefly thought, denying the idea.

"Howdy boys!" Hugh walked in. "Hey Jimbo, start packing. We got to move if I want to keep my job."

"We're moving?!" Jimmy said, feeling devastated.

"You're moving?!" Carl said, reflecting Jimmy's expression.

"Your dad has a job?!" Sheen remarked, confused at the revelation.

Later that night, over dinner, his parents explained away. "So, your father's company is moving."

"That means our lives are ruined," Jimmy said sadly.

"I-I mean…" Judy trailed off.

"I can't believe Mallard Motors is leaving Retroville," Jimmy mentioned. "Everyone in town buys their cars there."

"But everyone in Retroville has a car now," Hugh explained. "That's why we're moving to Derryville."

"What about my friends?" Jimmy asked somberly.

"They'll have to stay here." Hugh sighed and then chimed in. "I'm sure we'll make plenty of new friends in Drearyville- uh, Derryville."

Judy attempted to find the silver lining in this move. "Look, I know moving is hard, but there's some good things, too. For example… Oh no, wait. That's a bad thing. Maybe you should look for a new job in town," she suggested.

After that conversation, Hugh attempted to find a job of any kind before the deadline in which he could keep his current job. Unfortunately, no one was hiring at the time with the exception of a toy company. He tried to get in, but his ideas weren't cutting it even with Jimmy's help. The week ended and he came back with a moving van.

"Howdy guys, I'm back." Hugh sadly smiled.

"No luck with the job?" Judy asked to which Hugh shook his head.

"I guess it's off to Derryville then?" Jimmy walked up to them.

"Afraid so," Hugh replied. "Someone already made an offer on the house."

"Let's get to packing, shall we?" Judy tried to smile.

Jimmy then went to his lab, looking at all the inventions he had made. It made him think back to all the adventures he had up to that point. One of his most recent outings being the Intergalactic Showdown. Due to his hypercube, he was able to pack quickly and efficiently. "I can't believe it's all over…" Jimmy sighed. "These were good times." All that was left was to pack VOX which happened to chime. Carl, Sheen, Cindy and Libby were all in front of the lab in front. Jimmy put the hypercube to the side, and then went up and outside to meet them.

"Hey guys. Did you need something?"

"W-wanna go to the Candy Bar with us?" Carl spoke first after a few seconds.

"Yeah, now that we're friends, you should explain yourself why you didn't tell me you were leaving!" Cindy said with her arms crossed then softly said. "At least spend more time with us before you go."

"Ditto on that," Libby spoke.

"We tried to replace you with Bolbi to hang out with and it wasn't the same without you!" Sheen blurted out. Everyone other than Jimmy and Sheen facepalmed.

"Not even a week and you already replaced me?" Jimmy asked, feeling irritated.

"Yeah, but he couldn't replace you and your shiny inventions so come with us!"

"Alright, but I can't stay out for too long." Jimmy motioned to the truck which was already half full. "We expect to leave tomorrow morning."

"What are we waiting for then?!" Sheen grabbed Jimmy's arm and then ran ahead. The rest of them shortly followed.

At the Candy Bar, Jimmy was explaining the situation. Carl and Sheen already knew so they were digging into their ice cream. "So yeah. I'm left with no choice but to move to Derryville."

"How far away is that?" Libby asked.

"In Minnesota," Jimmy started. "But I'll come back and visit as much as I can!"

"Should be often right, Neutron?" Cindy asked as she took a sip of her shake. "It's an easy skip since you go into space several times a year."

"It all depends on how free I am, but I'll never forget about you guys." Jimmy smiled at them all with them smiling sadly back.

"Of course we won't forget you!" Carl said. "Your inventions, the adventures we went on, your mom-"

"You're one of a kind!" Sheen said with a snap of his fingers.

"I'll admit, life will be pretty easy going without your chaotic mishaps, but I'll miss that." Libby smirked.

"While I'm glad to be in the top of the class now," Cindy shook her head and chuckled. "Something tells me it won't be the same without you Nerdtron."

"To the five amigops!" Carl put his fist out.

"Five amigops!" Jimmy and Sheen put their fists out.

Cindy and Libby looked confused at each other for a second but proceeded to do the same. "Five amigops!"

After they all fist bumped, Jimmy wanted to change the subject. "Since we don't have much time left, let's do something fun like go to the arcade, watch a movie or go to Retroland!"

"Why not go on an adventure somewhere away from here?" Libby wondered.

"As much as I'd like to, I think I want to be a normal boy for a change."

The next few hours saw them catch a re-run of a Jet Fusion film, followed by a couple hours at Retroland. Before they knew it, it was time to part ways. They all walked back to Jimmy's house with him before saying their goodbyes.

"Let the good times roll." Libby said as she fist bumped. "See you again soon!"

Carl ran up to pull Jimmy in a hug and sobbed. "I'll miss you!"

"Heh, I'll miss you too."

"Catch ya later dude." Sheen and Jimmy high fived. He attempted to act cool as he was walking away but a single tear escaped his eye. He then shouted. "Please come back when the next Ultralord movie comes out!"

Eventually it was just the two aces in class. Cindy didn't say or tease that much throughout the day, all things considered and remained silent on the walk back."N-Neutron I-..." She started. "Since you're leaving there's something I want to tell you." She looked nervous as she played with her hair for a little bit.

"What is it?" Jimmy looked at her anticipating any kind of answer.

"I…" She was about to say with her eyes beginning to water, but looking at his face against the sunset, she decided to say something else with a smirk. "I hope someone in Derryville's able to stand up to you like I do!" She then playfully punched his shoulder.

Jimmy was about to ask what she was originally going to say but decided against it and smirked back. "I'll let you know if anyone dares, but I can say now, I doubt it, Vortex!"

"Take care, alright?" She extended her arm to shake his hand.

"Likewise!" Jimmy shook her hand.

AN: Before anyone asks, yes this is an alternate/realistic take on the episode Fundemonium. Basically this chapter exists as a reason for Jimmy to move away and I figured that episode was a good base for that. I wrote the nanobots out of this since there really was no reason for Jimmy to keep the two of them around after they nearly deleted everyone out of existence. Second, I'm still planning on making a sequel to my Divided We Fall story, but since that story is a bit of a tragic one, I wanted to start making a more lighthearted story first. With all that said, please review and I'll be back soon!
