Here we gooo! The jolly holiday season is upon us, and I wish every one of you a very blessed season! Another chapter for your viewing pleasure, I hope you enjoy it.
"Do it again." Rolling my eyes as hard as I could with them closed, I did my best to not lash out at Law.
"How about we swap really quick and you try to do it?" I countered, and then missed the swing of the large sheathed sword he carried around.
I was allowed to sleep in until about 6 am and then I was nearly dragged out of bed. I could bet good money that he found it funny after ripping my nice warm blanket from my body. Barely given time to change, we got to the beach where he demanded a demonstration of how my haki worked. Now I had a roll of some kind of bandage across my eyes and forced to keep them shut. All the while, this lunatic was swinging his nodachi at me to get me to doge it. I should have been sporting a few bumps on my head but I was lucky enough to be able to heal it. I had to dodge a proficient amount before lunch or I was going to be stuck doing this all day. I had other plans however, there was still a lingering hint of adventure on the island and I wanted to try finding it before we were forced to leave.
"I don't get what you're trying to get form this." I told him as he swung twice in rapid succession, the second one was dangerously close as I barely saw him reel back for it. "If you tell me what you're looking for we may just be able to talk without me getting dangerously close to a concussion."
"We're training." Glaring at him from behind my make shift blindfold, I decided to kick it up a notch.
"I get that, but shouldn't this be the other way around?" I asked him cautiously as he started to swing once more.
"I'm learning what you're doing by watching you, and it's a good chance to learn about your hand to hand." He replied back nearly cryptically.
Reeling my arm back, I let it fly aiming for his shoulder. The wind shifted around me as I felt him create space between us. Taking a moment, I shifted my feet creating a slightly wider stance as I let my arms hand around my waist. I was small, so making my stance to spaced out wasn't going to help me here, I'd take a few blows from him already and knew the strength he had there. It was surprised that he didn't have any ardament haki, if he coated his arms in it they would hurt more. Spacing out too long, I was forced to bend backwards at the waist. Law once again swung the sheathed blade at me once more, aiming for my upper torso.
"Oh lord…" I groaned out as my muscles protested at the move.
Moving my arms, I placed them on the ground as I kicked my legs up and wrapped them around his left shoulder and pulled it down. Tsking to myself, I saw him move his arm out of the coil I had loosely made to try and bring him to the ground. Falling straight to my back, I rolled backwards as the weapon was stabbed into the ground. Up on my hands, I kicked out at him as I got back to my feet. Not really wanting to wait, I brought a leg up and slammed it into the ground, willing my ability to shift the earth to come to the surface. I could see a bit better now that I had control of the ground we were standing on. Giving my arms a little shake, I planted my feet into the uneven earth, then ran at him. Arms up at my face as I started a series of jabs and the occasional hook. I never kept a pattern, only changing to a hook when I thought I had an opening. He had managed however to block nearly all of them, I grazed him cheek as he created distance between us.
"Room." I watched it closer now, as he summoned the spinning disk out of his chest cavity and then expanded rapidly to encompass the area we were sparing.
"GET HER CAPTAIN!" Spinning around I flipped the bird to Penguin and Sachi as they were watching us.
"Pay attention Ana-ya." I barely noticed when he had moved and the rocks under my feet left me as I felt him coming from above.
"Right on." I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins burning as I got into the thick of it.
Letting my body collapse to the ground, I slammed my right fist into the ground making it shatter the debris flying up at Law. His eyes didn't close completely but he blinked rapidly giving me an opening he'd probably be expecting. Cocking my left arm back, I also turn to the right and lifted my right leg as well. While he reached for my left side, I changed my shift in weight so my leg was able to come up and wrap around him legs. Clenching my thighs, I caught him, I shot up my right hand to grab onto his shirt as his eyes widening for just a moment. He was able to stop me from completely closing him in with my legs as his own kept a mostly shoulder width wide stance.
"Nice try." His was slightly out of breath as I didn't release him and dragged him down with my light weight.
"Nah, intentional." Gripping the collar of his shirt, I put my strength into swapping places with him. Sitting on his back, I smirked over to the guys, taking off my make shift blind as I relished my victory.
Only to see Law fucking sitting on a rock next to the guys. Quickly glancing down, I groaned out loudly as the men cheered. Letting out a long breath, I laid on top of Shachi as Penguin came running over to save him from me. I could see though, as I was rudely pulled off of the mechanic the thought made me smile. All of those times I was forced to try and see things on islands, or even count the fish passing by were useful. Blinking a few times as the sun blipped out, I realized the guys were both holding a hand out for me. Smiling widely, I gripped them firmly as they sent me flying into Marcus and Keith as they came voter to see if I was 'dead.'
"Alright, who's next?" I asked after landing on my feet and joining the rest by the shade.
"No thank you!" Was the collective answer I got back from them.
"Figured." I laid on the ground staring at the sun as the men started to get ready for breakfast.
It was well past the sun rising, warms up along took a while. Law was a stickler for rules, and apparently, we had on where we had to warm up properly before doing work outs or sparing. I hadn't really done them in a long time the reason being that as a pirate you never knew a fight was going to start. We got interrupted once while eating a meal, that was before I had even sailed with Ace. I quickly found a new ride after the Marines came in and busted the whole fight instantly. Some big wig was there and easily squashed the scuffle before property damage could be done to the resort style island. Closing my eyes, I let the wind play with the wisps of hair that had fallen out of my bun that I had thrown it into when we got started. The strands were starting to get to be to much, at this point they were down to my waist and I probably should have cut it recently. Rolling over on to my stomach quickly, I jumped to my feet as I felt it once more.
Someone was watching us.
The heaviness of my hair won as it fell and scattered across my field of vision. Somewhere off in the trees there was a presence, and I couldn't pinpoint it. Scanning the tree line carefully, I tried to see once more like I had earlier. I could see Law's ability expand out as if I didn't have my eyes covered, I could even scout out in front of my while looking for water, yet they remained hidden. Where ever they were, they were just out of my sight. Stepping closer to the vegetation, I tried to widen my scope and when I got to close the feeling went away. Crossing my arms over my chest, I could feel my head tilting from side to side as I tried to figure it out.
"Ana!" I heard my name being called out, and turned half way to Jacob who was calling out to me. "Food's ready, better get over here before Keith and Jackson eat everything!"
Not wanting to turn my back just yet, I took a step backwards letting my eyes keep their gaze on the trees for anything. Backing up into something, I stopped and gave one good look before trying to turn around, only to find I bumped into someone. "Nearly scared me there Matt."
"Hm, you were looking for something?" His deep eyes scanned the foliage as I had done, giving me an eerily feelings but I let it go. I had to.
"Thought I finally saw a bird." I called back as I stepped around him, he turned so we were walking back towards the guys.
"I'm telling you YES!" Arching a brow at the bear that was unusually animated in the sun was waving his arms back and forth while arguing with someone.
"There are NO FEMALE bears here!" Penguin stood with his legs apart armed crossed over his chest as he looked up at the bear.
"I'm telling you I KNOW there is!" Standing off to the side, I gave Law a looked from my place.
Do something.
He simply smirked at me while turning his attention back to the bickering crew members. Crews bicker or even have complete fall outs at some points. I took a quick glance around and relaxed a bit as I saw the smirks and Sachi writing something down on paper and accepting thins from the rest. Shaking my head when he came my way, I sat on the sand as I took in the two crew mates who were about to go at it. Law looking official as he swept his half-lidded eyes between his first mate and head engineer ready to step in should it go too far.
"You don't know shit-" His words were cut off as Bepo took the chance and tried landing a kick on the animal hat-shaped man.
"Get him Bepo!" Punching Marcus in the leg, I saw it buckle out of the corner of my eye.
Shushing him, I watched as the bear and man started trading blows. Bepo was actually better than I had thought he was going to be. It made something in the back of my head hurt as I knew I should know something but I couldn't think of what it may be. Chef has spoken about how he was a martial art master of some sort but this is where I saw it. The series of strikes he gave were a mix of open hands and closed fists. Nearly if not all were connecting, whether it was the shoulders, torso or legs. The bear wasn't afraid to use all of his limbs as weapons and as adorable as he was I was glad he knew some form of combat. I couldn't imagine at the ways he'd get kidnapped if not for those very same skills I saw now.
"Beat his ass Bepo!" I called out, making Shachi loose hit footing and get a swift kick in his arm by the shoulder.
"ANA!" His shout at me when unanswered as his attention was turned to block a chop from the large mammal.
Shachi gave nearly as good as he got from the bipedal bear. For every 3 hits Bepo got on him, he was able to strike back at least once. His foot work needed some help, but Bepo being able to kick while standing on his hands may be over kill at this point. The orange haired man should really be using a weapon but which one? A sword would be wasted on him, he didn't seem like he could live with it as an extension of himself. A hammer would be pretty good I guess, he'd be use to wielding one to fix the sub, so what if we just made it larger? A cheer busted my bubble as I saw that Bepo was sitting on top of the poor mechanic. Smiling a bit, I watched as Penguin and Keith jumped on the bear to get him off Shachi.
"You gotta learn some better foot work man." I commented as I came over to the defeated man.
I got a nice middle finger in response as he let himself be dragged from the ground. Throwing an arm over his shoulder, I steered him toward Matt who was waiting with some first aid. The dark haired man soothed Shachi's wounds and ego while Bepo was being rewarded by sitting in the cool ocean water. Shaking my head, I saw Marcus getting ready to spar with Chef. It would seem we set the day for training and I was good with that. We could never be to prepared or ready for a fight, it was the exciting thing about being a pirate.
"Hey!" Hearing a call behind us, I turned to see a near naked man running towards us. "HELP ME!"
"Uh…did anyone bet on people being here?" Marcus asked as we took in the man who was still running towards us from the woods.
I did.
While the man was desperate to get to us, I wasn't sure how close I wanted him to get. Making my way past Matt and Shachi, I put myself in between them and the lunatic running at us. His shorts were impossibly short and I didn't think they were meant to be. Other than that, he had nothing on, shaggy brown hair from what I could see but no other markings I could see. Scanning the wooded area behind him, I finally saw it. A flash of movement that wasn't any of the small animals I had seen lately. Jumping into action, I ran towards it. Kicking out at the ragged man, the swift kick to the back of his knees had him falling as I reached out to grab something. Glancing at the spear in my hand out go the corner of my eye, I didn't hesitate to flip it around and send it back in the direction it came from.
"Ana-ya." Trusting my instincts, I darted after the weapon I had thrown into the brush.
I found it maybe a dozen yards from the tree line. Looking down I could see the visible trail that guy had left in his seemingly desperate attempt at fleeing. Taking the spear from the tree it was imbedded in, I used it to help me climb said tree and get a vantage. Resting on a thick branch as high as I could go, I took in the canopy around me. Closing my eyes, I tried to see what was beyond possibly laying in wait in the shadows. I couldn't see much on the same level as me, but there was something a few feet below me and to my right. Dropping down I took off after them, ignoring the way the brush burned as little branches caught my clothes and skin.
Who ever I was chasing didn't both to stick to a linear path. No, they were hoping between trees and branches of different heights. I had to stay close enough to keep them in my sight, but far enough away that they couldn't turn around and trap me. I didn't sense that any one else was close to us, but I wondered why. If this person was sent to track down the person that made it onto the beach then why was he alone? The spear, the mask and the man who didn't look to be in the best condition screamed that this was an island with people who were not modern.
Opening my eyes, I took in another mask this one was different though. The last one was stationary in a tree, this one was actively running away from me. Taking its details in quickly, I jumped to the right and dodged something else that was thrown in my direction. A smile formed on my face as I reached out and brushed the mask. The sun light was bright enough for me to make out a sharp jaw line as they turned toward me momentarily. With very little room for error, I tried my best to reach and grab the eye holes as they dodged my attempts. The assailant dropped to the ground, with me hot on their trail. Slamming my feet into the ground, I willed the earth to crack. Seeing them get tripped up on loose ground, I took my chance to grab the large mask on their back.
"Fucking smart." Grin widening as I realized they ditched the mask and tried to escape.
Tried.
The long dark hair was wrapped around my fist as I held tightly. Heavy breathing was the only thing heard for a long time as we both came down from the high of the chase. Sweat trailed down my temples as my body started to ground itself back to a somewhat normal pace. I hadn't chased anything like this in a hot minute and damn did I miss the rush that came with it. While most hunts ended with a kill, I was fairly certain that Law would have my head for taking this man's life.
"Close, but not close enough my friend." I tugged on the hair gently as I forced him to turn his attention on me.
Wild red eyes turned their attention to my own, then to my face as he tried to read it. Better luck in the next life my friend. Giving a tug on the hair, I moved around to get a better look at him. The bottoms seemed to be a skirt, or a loin cloth made of some type of leather. There must be larger prey for them to hunt if they have a good size of people in the tribe. A small knife on his waist, but nothing that concerned me. The forest for once wasn't silent as if it was in an uproar over the man's capture. That feeling of being watched returned ten-fold as I could hear the men coming up form behind us. This however didn't stop me from looking up into the canopy to determine how badly of a situation I may be in. The blood lust swirling around in the air was nearly palpable as I waited for my crew.
"Excellent job Ana." The words were to close for comfort, as I resisted the urge to shudder from his warmth breath on the back of my neck.
"We're not alone." Craning my neck back, I whispered the words to him as I took in some leaves falling from right above me. The canopy was moving…"There's no wind though…"
"Bepo take the mask, we're going back to the Tang." The order had Penguin and Marcus using line to tie up our new captive.
There was a feeling of unrest amongst the trees, and I wasn't sure how I really felt about it. What ever Law might have planned for him, I'd have to try and ensure the man left us the way he came to us at the very least. Feeling the warmth of Law leave my back, I didn't let the company of the crew ease my agitation. Taking each arm, I lifted them up and over the shoulders stretching them out. I dutifully ignored the arched brow from a few of the guys as they walked a head of me. Up a head I could see Law looking at each one of them until he got to the back where I was. Giving the slightest nod, he turned his back on us and walked back towards the sub. I may not have been here this long, but I could throw my weight around if needed.
This was a situated it was needed.
Keeping the guys in my line of vision, I took note of the sudden change in the area around us. The breeze the was coming off the sea wasn't that strong. There wasn't a cause for it, no storm, nor any person that could conjure those winds. As we started to make our way out, I could feel the intense feeling of not only being watched… but watched by many. It was now that some things made more sense, like the wild life. I wasn't particularly a betting woman, but I'd bet the real animal life came out at night. The man up ahead tilting his head and looking up at various spots I could see were where I heard bird chirping from. I couldn't see many birds up in the canopy, because the real number of them was probably much lower than the number of humans up in the trees. As we broke from the tree line, I kept my sense open as we walked back towards the sub.
"Clean up, we'll be going in for the day." The rough order was barked out as Bepo and Law disappeared into the tang with the native man.
"Faster we get done, faster we can hopefully get out of here." Truer words hadn't been uttered this day as we followed Penguin's suggestion and cleaned up what was left of breakfast, and hurried back into the sub.
With the fun of the island gone, most of us went back to doing our normal duties. I wasn't actually buried in dirty clothes, but the sand from the beach was a menace and I was going to beat who ever tracked it down to the boiler room. Huffing mostly to myself, I tried to stick to the lower levels of the sub, under the waves. Now that I'd picked up a bit of haki, I could feel myself instinctually using it. There was an unrest of the now known natives. They had been pacing just outside of my view as they had been for the whole previous day we were here.
Sitting against the dryer, I listened the ship around me. Distant laughter from down the hall as the two head mechanics trained some of the guys on pressure valves or something. There was a hiss from the pipes that contained the hot steam from the hot potable water. The dryer and washing machine hummed and occasionally bumped into the bulkhead behind them. Closing my eyes, I tried to ease my mind from the headache that had been forming since Law had trapped himself and the two newest people in the operations room. No one wanted to bother him while he was…extracting information out of the two of them. Although I had a feeling that one would sing like a canary while the other may not even understand him.
"Ana?" Opening my eyes, I looked up to see Matt holding a new bag of clothing.
"Came to deliver the goods?" I asked smartly as I stood and peaked that it was whites…. or what should be whites but sometimes wasn't.
"That and Captain asked to see you." Arching a brow at him, I wasn't sure what face I made but he laughed at it dropping the sack. "Not for an experiment, something else."
"That doesn't make me feel any better." I grumbled out, but followed the now laughing man as he walked me to my possible doom.
"Captain doesn't just experiment on us Ana." He was shaking his head at me dark locks moving slightly as he did so. "It's reserved as punishment when he's over tired, or just not in a great mood."
"Yeah that doesn't make me feel any better." I told him as we climbed up the ladder well to the floor the sick bay was just down the hall from us now.
"You have to screw up pretty badly for him to do it, trust me." That was the issue, I didn't completely trust them yet. Working on it, however trust took time and I was going to let it take all the time it needed.
"Did you come from the North Blue as well?" It was a common theme I found through out the crew most had been picked up on Law's way into the Grandline.
"Yup, Captain and the rest made a last-minute stop on my island for repairs and food." He threw himself into the story as he recreated the way Penguin had slipped and fell off the deck of the ship and onto the island barely missing the piers water.
"Hm, me being tossed off a cliff seems to be normal here then." I more mumble to myself but he heard and chuckled at it. Making a face at him, he started to full on laugh as I felt my face soften as his eyes crinkled from it.
"Nice to see you two getting along." Snapping my attention back to Law, I realized we had arrived at the sickbay.
"When did we not?" I quipped back at him, leaning on the wall that held the door Law was sticking out of.
"Right," His steely gaze left my own and to the assistant medic. "We need another liter of blood, as well as fluids."
"I'm on it." Giving a small wave to the younger man as he left, I snapped my attention to Law.
"What's up?" I asked tentatively while trying to peek into the sick bay.
He stepped back and nodded his head to signal I should enter behind him. Stepping into the sick bay I could smell it, the scent of iron and something else that made my stomach churn sometimes. While the tables were mostly clear, I could see the bloody utensils and gloves thrown onto a tray near a hazard bin. Little things I hadn't noticed before became clear, like the operation room was partially a morgue? Shaking my head slightly, I followed him into the operation room.
Our newest person that wasn't a native from the island was covered in what I assumed was his own blood. Nothing seemed to be missing from him, other than said blood, but there was a wild terrified look in his eye I knew was caused by Law. He may have been awake and breathing, but I wasn't sure he was on this planet any longer. Whatever color his shorts were, well they were no near black because of what ever torture was inflicted on him. The slab he was restrained to had a mix of dried and fresh blood….and who know what other bodily fluids. He was sort of mumbling to himself, and I was a bit confused why I was looking at him.
"You have the ability to heal yourself, does it extend to others?" The question made me raise my eyes to the dark-haired man.
"I've never done it for more than a headache, I'm not sure how much I'm actually healing." I stressed the last word to him. I barely knew where I got the ability from, never mind how to use it.
"We're going to test it out then." He decided as he nodded his head to the man that looked like he was seeing God or something not on this plane of existence.
"You gotta point me to a spot, I only know that generally I can't do the whole body in one sitting." Stepping up to him, I instinctively cracked my hands getting them loose as I tried to concentrate.
"Start with his hands." Looking at the appendages, they didn't look messed up but there was blood here for a reason.
Taking one hand in both of my own, I closed my eyes as I concentrated. I could feel that something wasn't right, but it was like a puzzle for me. I wasn't completely sure I was putting the pieces together in their intended spots. It seemed to fit so I was just placing them as it appeared in front of me. Cracks that I filled in to complete the structures under the pile of flesh on top. Smaller pieces that were a bit more tedious to find what seemed to be the correct place. Releasing a breath, I didn't know I was holding, I took a small mental break as I tried to clear my mind to set the smaller pieces completely. Finally getting the last one in place, I opened my eyes and let go of the hand. Frowning at it, I didn't see any real changes but I had felt that I did something. Glancing over to the actual doctor he was frowning heavily at me.
"What?" I asked getting self-conscious, I had really only used the ability on Alec as he had migraines.
"I hope you didn't fix any real injuries like you did just now." He huffed and motioned for me to back so he could grab the hand I just healed…maybe? "Look, closely."
The small disk formed in front of his extended hand, and the was suddenly gone. Although I knew it was around us now, I wasn't sure how I felt not really being able to see its boundaries. I watched in grotesque fascination as he sliced the flesh in a way that allowed us to see the things underneath. What actually horrified me was the way the ligaments, and other things were connected. I wasn't quite sure what they were suppose to look like as I couldn't recall the medical diagrams Marco had but I knew that it wasn't like this. I had somehow managed to fuck it up. Things that looked like they should have connected to his ring finger were split between his middle and pinkie fingers. The thumb and pointer finger were completely swapped, as well as his middle finger with the half it had from the ring finger.
"Uh-" I felt nauseous but not from the sight of the inside of the human hand. No, it was the fact I had royally fucked up his hand, if he tried to do anything his hand would just convulse in response. "I just aligned the pieces where I thought they went…"
"Have you ever tried to heal an actual injury?" I could hear him, but there was a resonating ring in my ear nearly drowning him out.
"Never, I didn't want…" My words trailed off but we both knew what I was going to say.
I never wanted to permanently damage someone like this.
I wouldn't have healed any person that I had inflicted damage to, however I would certainly have tried to heal an ally. I could have tried and Ace or Marco would never be able to fight again. How could they if their hands were fucking wired wrong. The thought of having done this to someone close to me made me feel sick on the inside, but I swallowed that down as I took a deep breath. I hadn't done it though. I never once thought to heal someone after a fight, mostly because I never needed to. Ace and Marco were logia users so they were barely ever hit by random pirates, even if they came across someone with haki or seastone related items they were careful.
"Don't faint, this is fixable." A gentle nudge brought me out of my spiral. Blinking wildly at him, I saw him take a scalp to the thing ligaments and other things as he rearranged them. I shouldn't have been so fascinated by this but I was.
"How did you know?" I asked sounding like a moron seconds after, Law was a doctor that's how he knew.
"Those text you like to make fun of me for having." The monotone voice lulled me out of my h, this ever-waiting anxious frenzy mind, as he close dup the hand he had now fixed.
"Ah, this one." Spinning around, I turned my attention to the darker skinned man who had a dark brown bag over his head. "Isn't that over kill?"
"I was giving him the benefit of only hearing what I did to this man." I Ignored the chuckle from him as I noticed that he hadn't started on this one yet.
"I was thinking, he may be more useful it's he's mostly not…what ever you did to this one." Waving a hand to the man who still was praying to something.
Taking another moment to look at the poor chap Law was preparing to cut up and dissect, I tried to find something worthy. Now that I had more time to look him over, I could see that the people here lived off the land more or less. There couldn't be any more than the bare minimum of fat on this body. He also wasn't wearing a lion cloth like I had thought as well. They were incredibly short but he was wearing shorts…or pants maybe once upon a time. We couldn't have been the first to arrive here, but that didn't mean we could leave that easily. I didn't know when the log post was supposed to set but I was hoping it was sooner than later. The band on one of his wrists was a bad sign as well, that was meant to be an eternal log post, however it was just the band. The name was unreadable but I knew it was meant to lead to one single place not around the grandline.
"Did you check that he even understands us?" The bare-chested man had his head inclined to me, which I found a bit strange.
"He didn't response when I spoke to him." I could hear water running, but didn't bother to turn around.
"Hm…." I let the thought trail off, but when with my instincts and tore the bag off his head.
Bright ruby eyes stared back into my own blue ones, and I watched as his pupils dilated multiple times trying to adjust to the light. I could see faint traces of lighter skin across his face as though he was injured, the scars wouldn't tan. Gold. I could see the gold in his ear, not unlike pirates who pierced their ears to get rid of sea sickness. There was a small stud under his lower lip that I didn't notice at first, which led me to looking for other things. Law had his strapped to a chair, hands bound behind his back at an angle where it wouldn't be comfortable to even try moving. Looking down the limbs, I could see little tallies and what looked like figures. Those warning bells in my head going off full send as I figured who he may be. People on the bottom of the chain didn't get things like gold, they got bones, nor did they get tattoos of their accomplishments.
"I'll bet you my share of the treasure here that he can understand us." I blurted out as I felt the warmth of Law's presences behind me.
"Treasure?" A small point for me as I was spun around so those steely gray eyes could bore into me.
"He's got gold in his face, those tattoos are his body count, and I'll bet you that he's been listening for any good information you may have gotten from the other guy." Raising an eye brow, I counted to twenty three before he glanced away and smirked at the poor native man. "BUT! We should keep him intact."
"Why would I do that?" The small chuckle I got back was anything but amused. "As you just said, he's a plethora of information waiting to be cracked open."
"Not literally!" I admonished, as I grabbed onto his white lab coat before he could brush past me. "If he's say the son of the chief we may be able to negotiate information and gold for NOT ruining him."
Widening my stance, I realized I had shifted the maniac's attention from the foreign man onboard to myself. Cracking a nervous smile, I tried my best to not step back as he leaned over me. The gold shimmering off his ear rings gave me slight hope as all pirates like gold, it was something he must be interested in, in some form. I was holding onto the laps of his lab coats only inches from brushing against his lean figure. There was a heat reaching my face as he searched my pale eyes for some answer, or maybe my last brain cell. My mouth was moving in a way that let me know I was rambling but not a lot was making sense. It'd been a draining day with swords flying at 6 am, and it was now dusk as we settled into the sub for the night. My brain was fried and I was still going in a million directions trying to find a way to get Law to not cut this guy open.
"Please, I'm just tired." I groaned out to the heavens above, and the near sinister smile I got from my captain was not the sign I was looking for.
Here we are! Ana's gotta get them negotiation skills on the ready, for I wouldn't try to convince Law of anything unless I had a full proof plan. I'm a bit rusty on the fighting scenes, but I am most definitely working on it, as there will be mannny more scuffles the Heart Pirates will get into. I was thinking of maybe doing a one shot for the holiday/end of year season any one interested? If not, then I'll see you guys next time!
