"Uh, can I help you?"
He's just leaning against the wall, right next to the door, with his arms folded. Something about him makes Taylor's arms prickle with anxiety.
"Maybe you can. I'm looking for April O'Neil, and I know this is where she lives." He gestures with his thumb towards the door. "Got a message for her."
This doesn't look good. "Well, as you can see, she's not here, and I don't know how you managed to..."
"Actually, maybe you can deliver it for me."
She holds her ground as he steps towards her and she looks him right in the eye, but her heart is beating faster than a rabbit's.
"Tell her that if she doesn't stop poking around, we'll have to pay her a little visit. One that won't be as friendly as this. You got that?"
There's a tattoo of a purple dragon on his neck.
"Yes."
"Good." He saunters away towards the stairs, then quickly glances back. "Oh, and...no cops."
Taylor decided to wait until he's gone before fumbling in her bag for her keys.
