Kagome sighed, looking at the painting. Sesshomaru just stood there. "It's very nice," She said. She looked a little on the downside. Kagome looked at the letter in her hand and sighed again.
"You may take the painting if that is what you wish,"
Kagome's head snapped up, and she looked at him. "You mean it?"
"This Sesshomaru does not say things he does not mean,"
For the first time in her life, she wanted to hug him, but her feet knew better than to move too close to him. Now that she thought about it she has never been close enough to really smell him, much less touch. "Miko"
Kagome shook her head "Hu?"
"I will have Jaken take it down."
"Oh yeah, thank you, Sesshomaru."
"Your thanks is not needed the painted is of no use to me."
Then he started to walk back to the room they had come from. Kagome followed. When they got back, there was a tray on the table, rice balls and soup. Kagome sat down on the floor near it but didn't seem to notice the food. "Eat Miko,"
Kagome looked up. "Hu?"
"Your body requires food."
"Oh, thank you."
She found it odd, seeing him like this, him being friendly. But if she really thought back, he was never really mean to her, well, besides the time he did try to kill her. She watched the slow change in him in what little time she had been there, but from then to now, he seemed the same, but she also didn't know him that well now. She learned not to assume anything about him, ever. She decided on small talk, she wanted to get a feel of who he was now. He may seem the same as she last saw him, but that many years is bound to change a person, even him.
"Do you eat?"
"Yes,"
"Want some?"
"No,"
"Why not?"
"I do not need it."
"Oh," Her small talking was just that, small.
She slowly ate and let her mind wander and Sesshomaru could tell she was thinking, of what he wasn't sure.
Suddenly they both heard a buzz.
"Oh!" Kagome placed the food down and pulled out her phone from her back pocket.
"Hello?"
Someone talked on the other line.
"Yes im fine, no im not home." Her friend then asked if she went home with a man. Kagome's eyes drifted to Sesshomaru, she was sure he could hear. She did, but she didn't. "No,"
Some more talking,
"The wedding, I dont know,"
More talking,
"I dont have a date,"
Some more talking,
"I do to go out enough!" Kagome sighed "I will think about it, I'll text you later,"
Kagome shut her phone. "Sorry about that,"
Sesshomaru just raised an eyebrow. "You do not wish to go to your friend's wedding?" Hell he thought she would love weddings.
Kagome shrugged. She used to love weddings.
"Do you have a mate?" Sesshomaru asked,
"Hu?"
"A mate,"
"Oh, no."
"I see,"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
He didn't say anything just looked at her.
"All my friends will be there; they all have dates,"
"Do you not like. weddings?" He asked in his always bored tone.
"Yes and no."
"How can it be both?"
"Well, I like them because they're pretty, and it's great to see people in love and showing off, but it sucks when you're alone and even worst when you watching it alone."
"I have seen many."
"Really?"
"Indeed, it has no effect on this Sesshomaru."
She sighed.
Yep, same old Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru wanted to shake his head, yep, same old Kagome.
