Back home, home sweet home. As the Lee family left the vehicle they were in, Jiang-Yu pulled his son aside for a quick word. "Hey, son. Are you okay? You've look a little rough lately." Jiang-Yu noticed that in the moment that he son seemed less down and more confused. Perhaps this wasn't a good sign, but he wasn't taking a risk. "Um, dad," Jenrya replied, "I'm fine now I think?" "You sure?" His father looked stern and serious as he could be. He knew something was up. Jenrya thought to himself for a moment. Had his recent misery really been this noticeable to everyone else?

"Dad, I um, I'm fine now. I've just been thinking a lot and...that's all." His father's expression didn't change. He put a hand on Jenrya's shoulder. "Son, I've been around the block before. I know something else has been eating at you. Did something happen? A friend got hurt? Or maybe...maybe its some sort of girl problems?" Jiang-Yu's question came from the heart of a good father and had good intent. Yet his choice of words appeared to have stuck something deeper in his son. Jenrya gulped. He couldn't know, please, he couldn't. Jenrya's expression made his father wonder more and more if that really was the issue, but before he could speak his son had beaten him to the punch. "No, dad. I've just been thinking a lot. You know its nice to have a day of not worrying about the future and all, but the hypnos stuff isn't much better. I know Yamaki-san and your friends have our backs, but I still don't get why we have to do this every year and..." "And"? Jiang-Yu replied. "I did have an argument with some one...with a close friend! Don't get any ideas. I'm not good with women anyway haha..." Jenyra saw his father's expression soften a bit. "Oh, a friendly argument you say?" He asked more calmly. "Yeah, that, dad. I got mad at someone important and well, maybe it went too far. You know sometimes friends fight, yeah...friends, but I managed to finally start patching things up now. I'm fine, dad, but thank you for asking." Jiang-Yu at least half-belived his son. He still felt like there some was something more on his son's mind, but for now he wouldn't prod. Jenrya was a man now, a young man, but a man who had his own life. "Alright, son." Jiang-Yu said putting an arm around his son. "Just don't let it get you so down, okay?" "Okay, thanks dad." Jenrya would relax in his living room for some time. He wanted to see her, he had to, but his body was very depleted for the moment. Though she never left his mind. Even as he ate, Terriermon took notice to how deep in his thoughts he was. It was only when the meal concluded that he'd approach his partner about it. Jenrya sat in his room chair as restless as earlier. In a few hours he could be asleep, but his mind was far too busy to get much rest. His room door was lightly pushed open. "Hey, Jian." Terriermon pushed past the door and with a fair amount of effort closed it back with his small arms. "Jian, you look better now than before." Jenrya chuckled. "Do I? I had no idea!" His laughter returning gave his partner some comfort, but the little digimon still saw a busy mind in the young man. He knew him better than anyone so of course he saw that. "Jian." "Hmm?" "You still look like something's bothering you." "Oh, uh..." "It's that girl, isn't it?" Jenrya sighed. "Yeah, okay, ya got me." Terriermon moved towards his friend eventually climbing into his lap and looking at the man with pleading eyes. "Is she really worth it?" The digimon's tone of voice gripped his human friend's heart. For a brief moment he asked himself this question in his head. Was it worth it? He still kept the whole thing a secret from everyone, even Terriermon. What would happen if others new? A lot of practical concerns rushed through the man's head. Then they clashed with his deeper feelings. He asked his heart and it felt the same strong feelings for her as ever. They'd never fought like this before, and maybe they would again. He didn't know, but what he did know is he loved his time with Renamon. No matter what secrets and lies hid them from others, their relationship felt genuine. He loved their talks, her eyes, and...her. He found his answer then and there.

"I'm glad you asked that, Terriermon. Yeah, 100% worth it, maybe more." Terriermon's worried look softened a bit. His sat in the man's arm with his arms crossed and forming a brief pout. "Hmph, whoever it is better not hurt you like this again." Jenrya laughed and pulled his friend into a big hug. "Hey, man, thanks. You're always there for me." Terriermon smiled hugging him back. "Of course! We're partners, after all. Momentai!" When they separated, Jenrya gave his digital friend a few hopeful last words for the night. "Hey, Terriermon. Sorry, y'know? About keeping things a secret. Girls are um...complicated and this whole relationship is even more complicated than you or anyone else could imagine." "Huh?" Terriermon put a hand to his chin wondering just what his friend could mean. "What do you mean?" "Can't say, but you're my best friend so when I finally tell anyone, you'll be the first to know okay?" Terriermon smiled. Not matter how odd keeping things a secret was to him, or how hard it fanned the flames of his curiosity, he trusted his friend. "Thank you, Jian."
