Sakura opened her eyes as she tried to remember where she was and why she was on a bed that wasn't hers.
The sound of the waterfall was the only thing that could be heard through the night, ever so often the sound of the trees moving alongside the wooden bridges and houses could be heard creaking.
"So this is it, I have to live here now." she says to herself before she notices that she isn't alone,
She would have jumped in fear, but decided not to as she didn't see the point in doing so, even if the men that were standing in the corners didn't move and their bodies were hidden by the darkness of the night she could still see that they were armed.
She slowly sat up and noticed that someone was sitting near the center of the room, the man had his back turned to her but she could see the gun that he held onto tightly,
She didn't say anything anymore as she expected something to happen, but as the light of the moon began to come through the windows she found her fears were unwarranted, as all of the men had their eyes closed and were breathing calmly.
Sakura turned her attention to the windows that allowed her to see outside, and then laid back and closed her eyes,, she doubted that she could sleep anymore.
Not only had she slept the entire way here, but she had cried herself to sleep.
little did she know that while she lay peacefully in her bed safely guarded by a group of soldiers who were still unable to move past the war that had long ended.
In the Village Hidden in the Leaves, an argument was happening.
The representatives of Earth were quick to react to the news of the leaf's deception as weakening the Hidden Villages and the ninjas was their only concern.
It wasn't that they didn't want to gain the special eyes and abilities that the ninjas had access to, but they had seen how overly reliant the villages were on their special bloodlines.
So they decided that while they could force the ninjas to give up a part of their power, they wouldn't claim them for anything too important.
Yet it didn't matter if they didn't care about the wielders of the special bloodlines, the fact remained that a family within one of the Hidden Villages had lied and failed to keep their end of the deal.
The Hyugas argued that by sending their two heiresses away they would lose their clan's future, but their words were quickly stopped when the other families said that they were forced to do the same.
The Hyuga elders refused to allow the girls to leave but they quickly changed their minds when the Third Hokage said that if they refused then they could replace the girls by granting their severed heads to the ruler of the mountain.
"What about our daughter?" Sakuras parents asked the Hokage.
"She will have to stay where she is, as an apology for our deception. We were the ones that failed to keep our end of the deal and now she will have to stay there to stop things from escalating." The Third Hokage answered Sakura's parents.
"However sending both of the Hyuga's daughters along with your daughter does seem to be a lot." The third Hokage says as his eyes look at the different messages that he received from the other villages that were already threatening him with war.
Why did the Hyuga think that they could escape when the rest of them had already kept their side of the deal?
"Send the girls away if you know what's good for you.' he says to them before throwing the messages at all of the elders who immediately said that the other villages were demanding that they keep their side of the deal.
"Fine, hell get his wive!" one of the elders said loudly before he left the room.
None of the other elders nor Hinata's father said anything else as none of them were willing to let someone cut their heads off so that the sisters didn't have to leave the village.
